The portion of food is satisfied but the taste of our orders are just ok. Beef noodle soup is fine, but definitely avoid seafood noodle soup.We didnt get a good response when we provided the feedback of food and charged tips.The interior is well decorated though.

The food was beyond excellent. I tried many dishes, and every single one was made with incredible quality. The dishes were not greasy, and yet they were packed with intense, wonderful flavors. The fried rice was fresh and lightly cooked with soy sauce and oil. It wasnt slick or too greasy. This is not your typical americanized chinese food restaurant--the chefs here know how each dish should be crafted.I have to recommend ordering the magic chili prawns. They are peeled, lightly battered shrimps in a medly of chilis that you cant find elsewhere. It was lemony, but not sour, and very balanced. The orange chicken, spicy eggplant, and szechaun lamb are honorable mentions.

I was visiting a friend in San Francisco, four of us had lunch just so before my flight back to Houston. Absolutely loved the food! The dry shrimp and boiled fish was deliciously warm and spicy, just the right heat you need especially on a chilly day. Customer service is great as well and we didn’t have to wait long for our food.

Traditional Sichuan/ human style food, restaurant is well decorated, and much more spacious inside than its front suggested. Dishes are good portion, hearty spicy; Human Beef is tender and flavorful; boiling spicy fish filets comes in a wooden bucket, cute and tasty. Ma Po tofu uses the traditional Sichuan pepper; a bit noisy, like most Chinese restaurants anyway. Definitely a good place for a family dinner.

Really friendly hosts. Neat atmosphere. Open parking available nearby at Perry Street Lot.Wide selection of vegetarian and non vegetarian options. We ordered General Zhaos chicken and Taiwanese rice noodles. Both quantity and taste were really nice. The price was also decent. The total price for both the items with tax excluding tip came up to 27$.Would definitely recommend for someone looking for Chinese food in the Bay area. Cant vouch for how authentic Chinese it is though.

The food is amazing!I have eaten here three time, this is my favorite Chinese restaurant in RWC. Nothing can beat the great flavor and good price. I have tried Xin Jiang lamb, Satay beef, Mapo tofu, tofu beef from the lunch special menu. Mapo tofu has authentic Sichuan flavor, with the right amount of Sichuan pepper.值得一试的餐厅, 味道很好, 价格实惠.

Our food was ready in minutes! Quick service, great food, and a relaxing environment. Great place to meet with friends and family or even catch the game. They had several large TVs playing NFL network, the Giants game, and Im sure they would put it on any game if you requested. Very nice staff.

Ive seen this place on yelp multiple times, with a lot of high reviews. I was a little skeptical of the place from the appearance outside, but inside was actually really nicely decorated with a lot of space. It was almost empty at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, so we were seated right away.We ordered general zhao tofu, sweet and sour chicken, potstickers, and salt and pepper pork chops. The food came out quickly and all together. Everything was really hot and fresh. The potstickers were really good, perfectly cooked and the skin was well made. The general zhao tofu sauce was a bit over powering. I think it would have been better without the sauce//on the side. The salt and pepper pork chops were really good. The sweet and sour chicken was also well made. The food was fresh and tasted really good.We loved the ambiance inside and the fresh hot food. They had an extensive menu, so we definitely want to come back again and try their other foods. They also had cocktails for only $9 that we wanted to try next time.

Absolute 5 star!! Incredible food, best service Ive seen in a SiChuan restaurant, clean environment, no wait, and a comfortable, well decorated environment. Came here with my family after a movie. GPS led us to the backdoor of the restaurant, which wasnt very appealing. Thankfully, the waitress politely led us to our seats just when my family was starting to have doubts.Food completely blew us away. The lamb dish was the best Ive had, just the right amount of cumin (not too much!). Vegetables were suprisingly packed with flavor. Very authentic.

We ordered spicy boiled fish and szechwan Dan- Dan noodles with shrimp instead of pork. The noodles were very good but the boiled fish was out of the world amazing. Must try. My only quibble is that they do have any process for seating. It was busy on Friday evening when we went but we had to stand in a line without anyone asking us to put down party name somewhere.

I used to like this place. A year ago however, I decided to get takeout right before closing, and when I got home to my surprise, the lemon chicken I ordered was falling apart and vey oily. It was smashed in different little pieces and the deep-fried portion had slid off and it was in clumps. It looked like it had been spooned out of leftovers. The chow mein was soggy. I had to throw the food out. So just recently, I decided to give it another try. I ordered takeout again and lo and behold, this time the general chicken, I ordered, was all smashed in a glutinous mess. Again, the coating was falling apart and the chicken was too. The chicken was dark and in slimy biits. I took a bite and was repulsed. I also ordered some vegetable chow mein and that too was soggy. Had to throw out the food as well. I will not be returning. On a more positive note, the person on the phone taking the order was friendly and.Professional.

Im wavering between 3 and 4 stars here. Its a straight-up Chinese place that competes well with the others in the area. Sichuan is their specialty, and its certainly tasty and spicy (one of those that dont mind serving truly hot dishes). Family-friendly, vegetarian options, reservations not needed (at least on weeknights). Parking can be a challenge, as with the rest of the restaurants in this bustling part of town.

Excellent place if youre into asian cuisine, especially tasty soups. Definitely coming back here! Bathroom is located behind but if its locked theres another one in the room thats on the left. If its an emergency they wont mind if you use women bathroom just be discreet about it. They also have a bar and a bartender. Food is cooked and served promptly after the order has been taken. You may need to wave at the busser so he can know youre ready to take your order.

Cant even begin to elaborate on the lousy lousy experience we (and a dozen other customers) are having tonight.Ordered online.Option for back door delivery (prechecked actually) and they say backdoor 530p and phone number to call.Backdoor at 530p with a closed door, no sign, no one picks up the phone.Walk around the block to the front where many annoyed customers wait.Told no one at back door and literally yelled at by staff.Food now 30 minutes late. Staff yelling at customers.I understand its a busy night but dont take the orders if you cant fill them. And at least put a sign on the back door.And maybe dont yell at your customers

Ordered vegetable fried rice without egg and vegetable chow mein. Delicious and savory. Chose outside dining but seemed to hit them when they were busy with pickup orders. There was a button at the table but pressing it as instructed did not bring a staff member so I called them and a server came out to assist. Took some time before they return to take my order, but were pleasant and attentive. They did ensure they checked on us and brought the check promptly. It would be nicer to have a bit more light outside as the streetlight and string lights around the nearby tree kept it dim. I will be returning, earlier in the day so I can see better.

However, it was a very friendly and busy atmosphere with a variety of people enjoying their meals. I had high expectation and since I am from Sichuan,China, I have a high standard of authentic. The decoration and atmosphere are better than average Chinese restaurant, service is just OK though. Their dishes were in no way outstanding. Prices were reasonable. In general, it does not worth a detour but if you happen to be in the neighborhood, give it a try.In addition, I doubt the cleanness because I saw flying insects during my visit in door. I dont tell what kind of insects they are but its definitely not a good sign for cleanness.Bottom Line:just another average Chinese restaurant with not outstanding aspects.

I finally made it to Crouching Tiger & the food was better than I expected . The lamb was perfect & the Buddha vegetables had an excellent mix . They also have the brown rice option . I had the spicy but they did offer to make it less if anyone wants mild. Plus the ingredients were Not swimming in a large pool of soy sauce like some other places . It was my birthday so decided to go there as it had good reviews - that turned out to be a mistake. The waitress could neither explain a starter nor a rice dish on the menu to me. 5 minutes after ordering my food it arrived (microwaved?) - however it was the main course and I was told that the starter would follow!! Magic Chili Chicken or Magic Chili whatever else. If you like spice and chili you will not go wrong with Magic Chili. It blew my mind! So delicious. I would also recommend the fried cream cheese wontons, so crispy and not greasy. Just perfect. The vegetable fried rice is also a good balance of ingredients. I set up a private party at Crouching Tiger for our group, the Redwood Symphony, and it was great! Tanya was so helpful and easy to work with, and let us order from the regular dinner menu with separate checks unlike other venues I talked with. Everyone enjoyed the food and drinks, and we all had a great time. The staff was very friendly and accomodating the whole time. I highly recommend Crouching Tiger for group events!

I ordered the Mongolian Beef and steamed riceWhile it was edible, the Mongolian Beef was one of the worst ones that I have tried in the Bay Area. If it was not called Mongolian Beef, then it might have been better. I normally love Mongolian Beef, but the flavor was completely off with this one. I have tried another dish from here and that was much better, but I made a mistake this time.

They fry chilis to make them crispy like chips, achieving the same addictive affect as their inspiration. There are a zillion Chinese restaurants in the Bay Area. This one might be our favorite based on a single dish: Xingjiang lamb (listed as cumin lamb in other restaurants). Somehow its just better here.We do like many of their other dishes as well, including their dry cooked string beans and cold noodles. But the lamb is the star.They have recently expanded so there are quite a few tables. Service is reasonably good in our experience though we have not been there when they are very busy. Looking for inexpensive lunch? You can find Crouching Tiger just off of El Camino in what appears to be a throwback area of downtown Redwood City. This is our go-to Chinese take-out place. Sort of on the way home from work so when I dont have time to cook or have a craving for Chinese food, this is where I go on my way home from work. Our regular order includes: 1) seafood sizzling rice soup, 2) combination chow fun, 3) Xinjiang Lamb, 4) Moo Shi Pork/Broccoli Beef -- all good, esp. the lamb and chow fun. Weve tried many others on the menu and they are good although the spicy dumplings IMO are not worth it.
