Peaceful without many people. More natural landscape with wildlife. Some areas are rocky which may be harsh underfoot. Wash stations and changing stations near parking.
Shop mostly there for Trader Joe’s and Starbucks, but a lot of boutique shops. Nice shopping center and restaurants.
I had the bone in ribeye, it was the worst steak Ive ever had, I asked for medium, it came well done, the meat was full of cartilage, I was not able to finish it. Im not one to return food, so one thing Ill never do is return, no second chance from me.
Beautiful shopping center with an amazing view of the ocean. Definitely a lot of choices when it comes to food and shopping. My two favorite things here is Mastros and Bear Flag.

Great to walk around, have lunch (or dinner) at the A Crystal Cove, and avoid the crowded venues! Try Bluefin for excellent Japanese fare. Get a slice at zpizza or a whole meal at Modo Mio! Theyre all great establishments!

To me this is the very last Refuge and a jewel on the coast of Orange County possibly Southern California. I started going here early 70s and there was nothing here. Now it is very crowded, but you can still catch a day here and there to get some peace and quiet and look out over the beautiful Pacific Ocean and see Catalina when it is a clear day.
Cute shopping mall strip right on PCH. If you want delicious fresh fish, check out Bear Flag! Craving a sandwich? Stop by the butchery! Wide variety of meats and cheese, definitely can’t go wrong ver there plus a view of the ocean? THE BEST!
Pleasant stroll with an Ocean Breeze. This is the perfect way so spend a lazy Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Stroll through the shops, lunch at Javiers for the delicious and energy.
A very nice spot on PCH, the coast road, for a going-around afternoon. Very nice place to catch the pacific sunset. Among the busy parking lots, the shopping center has actually provided very nice seating locations facing the ocean. Buy some snacks, or cup of coffee, or togo dinner bag and relax on these seats looking into the far far west behind the ocean where the sun goes to bed!The shops are good stroll, not a long stretch. My favorites are Trader Joes and William Sonoma place. Both are totally fun and interesting places to just walk thru and see what may catch your eyes. There is always that kitchen gadget you always needed but never made your buying list. Trader Joes, I say the funnest supermarket I have seen anywhere - i think anywhere, may be not, I have traveled to over 100 countries. Anyways you can get your sunset watching snack from TJ. Or just plan to have your lunch, early dinner, dinner, late dinner at one the food places here. Its really say complete, you can get wonderful fish tacos, freshly made, with sides for under 10 box meal or go the the highest end food place for seafood, stake and 37 dollar cocktails, say 300 to 500 dinner at Masteros.After sunset you may drive down PCH to Laguna Beach for a nice walk in downtown Laguna and may be one scope of double chocolate Gelato.No matter when you are visiting, it is always cold, always sea breeze, go prepared!Enjoy places in OC! ben

Great shopping experience 🛍️ in prime location. There is a grocery store and Mexican restaurant as well. Its near the Cove state park, the beach, and parking so you can spend the day in this area and not get tired of it! Pelican Hill is down the street. You cant go wrong, no matter why you stopped there for.

This is an amazing shopping center right on PCH with very nice high end restaurants, trader Joes, small places to get great food like seafood,the butchery, lots of great upper end stores and if youre feeling really froggy you can buy an Ashton Martin in the same parking lot. Oh and did I mention the view from everywhere, the amazing Newport Coast, one of the greatest views in all the world
Didnt take long to get seated. Once we got seated the service guys were immediately very attentive. The food was outstanding and it served to each of us just as we liked it.A bit pricey but it was worth every penny especially on a special occasion.
This looked like a lovely high- end shopping center but we only came here to go to Trader Joes so I cant tell you about the rest of the stores.. The Trader Joes here was very nice but not that much different than any other Trader Joes. It really is a lovely shopping center and I would love to spend more time here. They even have an Aston-Martin dealership.

Many offer outdoor dining plus theres tables & other seating in the Promenade.A bank, butcher shop, a market - Trader Joes, upscale clothing boutiques as well as casual shops too.Theres even a Pressed Juicery,! 😋A relaxing spot or nice place to meet for a business lunch, hang with friends or date night. The parking in the evening is incredibly bad with people stopping their vehicles ( huge SUVfor guys with little d****) letting out their girl friends in the middle of the through lanes and blocking all traffic.Irvine Company should be able to fix this.Also while patio dining saw a rat! Only went to Trader Joes. Center appears to include a varsity of shops however, it was also very crowded which may have been due to the holiday season.
I really liked this area. There is a lot of shopping options that would make this a place you can get everything on your list taken care of for the most part. I felt it was upscale and a safe neighborhood to come to. I love everything about California, residents are extremely lucky to live in such an incredible state. I hope when I get closer to retirement I too can call California home. Especially a place close to the beach.

I love the location, but Im just not excited about the retail stores offered. A nice ocean view and upscale modern architecture, makes the experience more appealing. Lots of comfortable outdoor seating are available to relax or eat between shopping.

Bear Flag is our favorite. We drive down from Big Bear CA to eat there and buy fresh fish whenever possible.
One of the best car shows in Orange County. They meet early on Saturdays. Gear heads, great selection of hot rods and super cars, rock music, fun happy atmosphere and friendly people. If you like gears and true Americana at its best, check it pout. Not all of our freedoms are gone yet!
With the addition of wifi and more outdoor seating, this place has earned a spot in my usual routine when I am home visiting. This place has a wide array food options (ranging from ultra high end to mid tear), great shopping, Trader Joes and plenty of parking. It is very close to Crystal Cove State Park and makes a beach picnic very easily assessable.
You get your moneys worth. Pricey.... yes! However, thats to be expected, service was fast once seated. Expect to be busy almost consistently. Steak was delicious!
Nice spot for tourists to take a break from traffic on Coast Highway and spend some time walking in a well maintained and landscaped strip mall. Great selection of a few quality shops, eateries, and a nice Trader Joes grocery store for healthy food choices. Plenty of free parking.
Very nice and quiet state park. My first time to the ocean was at this place. Theres a nice hike if you park away from the bathrooms. The next day I parked next to the bathrooms and you walk down a picturesque mountainside to the beach. Excellent
A lot of specialty stores here. Very high-end catering to the Newport Coast clientele. The Trader Joes is excellent and I have been to the Bear Flag Fish and it is fabulous. Some very chic restaurants there also. Only four star based on the expense vs value.

Nice place but needs more variety and more outdoor seating. We had to walk a bit and others had to wait. Might just depend on the time of day. Also, might need to do something about the birds. I was attacked by one but no harm done.

The shopping center was beautifully maintained and Mastros Ocean Club is the icing on the cake. Excellent service and phenomenal food. So glad I found out about both of these locations on my trip

I jokingly call this the worlds most expensive strip mall, which may be closer to the truth than we think, but the shops are excellent, the restaurants have been favorite eateries for years, yet, you can still find affordability at Trader Joes, familiarity at Starbucks and a great sandwich at The Butchery.The parking lot alone is worth the trip. Grab a bite to eat and lay back on the Adirondack chairs while gazing out over the ocean or the locals exotic cars.On any day Crystal Cove Shopping Center is an enjoyable experience.

Marche Moderne is one of the best (perhaps the best) restaurant in Newport. Exquisite food, fantastic service. Incredible good selection and preparation. Fit for royalty.
Great place for lunch, dinner or shopping. Everything is spotless clean. Starbucks, Bear Flag, Javiers. All staple spots. Even has a Trader Joes to shop at. Saturday early AM cars and coffee is a treat with some very special cars showing up. Some of the cars are from the early 20’s all the way up to modern supercars. Love eating lunch at bear flag.
Small outdoor mall directly across from the Pacific Ocean
Very clean shopping center but I sat and ate lunch at the tables and found only creepy weird (drunk) people giving us a weird eye. So we left. But anyway, this shopping center has an ocean view and is very clean. Just had a weird couple of instances and wont be eating lunch there again.
Great food and geeat ambience. Loved most of what was served to us as we were on a pre decided menu, since our group was large.Its nice to be able to get good vegetarian food eapecially when you are out of India.
One mile from state beach and camping. Trader joes food and clothing stores ... awesome shopping experience. No Ice anywhere so go to gas station to re-up. A+ experience here
Good selection of shops and restaurants. Very crouded on weekends. Navigating the parking lot and surrounding roads will make you wish the locals driving manners were as nice as their cars.
Points for the location with a great view of the ocean, but more of a place to go if you know what you are looking for and want to get out. Not a lot to do if you are looking to waste time or spend a day out.
Very nice shopping center. Starbucks is good place to hang out and work on laptop. Bear fish company is delicious for lunch. Trader Joes is usually pretty quiet.

I was attempting to go to Trader Joe’s but when I pulled in to park there was way to many cars in the lot. So I left however it’s a really cool shopping center with lots of great stores.

Here youll find culinary options from poke at Bear Flag, Italian restaurant Modo Mia, Z Pizza, unique Starbucks, apparel shopping, Trader Joes market and a charging station for electric cars. Located across the street from Crystal Cove State Park. You can sit outside on comfortable seating and watch the sunset over the Pacific.
Beautiful view! Highly recommended if you want to enjoy having a drink or coffee in a relaxed spot close to the beach.

Fru fru to the max. Just the thing for wealthy locals, who can see the parking lot from their back yards. Great Trader Joes with really nice staff. A couple of very pricey high end eateries. The typical Starbucks. Not much else for average people. The rent must be insane. You can see some exotic cars often with the Cars and Coffee meetups. Kind of Beverly Hills OC. Interesting people watching.
Kind of a place where the sales associates turn their noses up to customers and thats not my kind of place. Even if I go with money to spend, I wont spend ot at places like this. Respect is a hallmark of customer service. Dont expect it at these stores. Over priced and lacking in social skills. Waste of time in my book.
Beautiful architecture for these shopping places. Plenty of food (seafood, pizza, ect.) drinks (Starbucks, Boba?), home decor, and Trader Joes. If youre staying at the Crystal Cove this is definitely a great place to stop and get food and supplies.
I come here often, usually to shop at Trader Joes. I also like to stop in at Pier One or Williams-Sonoma or one of the clothing shops. There are several great restaurants too including Marche Moderne, which just opened recently. If you havent tried it, you should check it out; its a great restaurant.

Would you like to see women that have had a lot of plastic surgery? Perhaps people who drive Ferraris daily? Then this is the place to go. A lot of excellent restaurants and really nice shops highly recommended but a tad pretentious.
Despite the fact we shop at Trader Joe’s all the time and make other purchases in this center, we decided to also walk down to beach. Car was towed. $350. Over 1.5 hours going to Costa Mesa to retrieve while family (including a 5 year old) waited in cold out front. Than, 5 year old hits his head on edge of sharp directions sign on walkway. Worst day. Never shopping here again. So many other patrons went down to beach and we were only ones towed.Looks like they got the photo of my sons head injury from their sign removed. I would not want to visit this center either if I saw the photo.
The shops are definitely upscale; if you are looking for that kind of thing and can get though the parking lot without a Lucille-Bluth-lookalike driving into you, youll probably find interesting stuff. Watch out for the tiny ferocious dogs.

This is a great place to eat the snails off the ground .. wait early about 6 am in the morning about 7 a.m. in the morning thats when they come out ...just kind of be sitting in the dirt and thus the snails will slither on the Wall... come get you a bucket and probably take home about 85-75 maybe even a hundred snails! !! you go on home you throw them in the stir fry whatever about 45 minutes to an hour to cook those snails down have dinner come back tomorrow for the Roundup
This is a beautiful view up here, its even a nicer view at Javiers its a very very nice place and the food is great the waiters are nice and helpful .👍👍👍👍 o yea.
What a great place to grab a Starbucks, park the car and wrap up the days action items & emails on Ipad, after a long day of sales calls. Just sitting in the car, windows down, looking at the ocean, feeling peace.a happy place.
A clear clean Crystal which must be kept in locked velvet-lined box, for only those who deserve it, and can afford the finest nuance in materialistic empyrean.

This is a great rehabilitation center to go to in Newport Beach if youre really looking for quality help to get clean. I really found myself here and why I even started using in the first place. Long story short, their addiction treatment program works because they personalize it to your particular problem and your needs.
Its got what you need!It reminds me of a local mall but it has so much more of a view profound friendliness. I would go out of your way but I would say you should stop if it is in your way. Javiers and Trader Joes makes it

I hope to bear flag quite often, love the area, always nice to sit and hangout and grab a bite to eat, parking is sometimes an issue during weekends.
We came and went to Mastros and really enjoyed the view, the music, and of course the great food. Its always nice to finish with a butter cake.
Not much to say about it. Yes, it has a beautiful view in front of all the shops and some places to seat but no public bathrooms. You have to go to Starbucks or a restaurant.

Mastros is a great steak and seafood restaurant, great service, great wine selection with full bar. Prices arent cheap expect to drop minimum of $250 for two.

Quaint and fun center to explore. Pricey, but its to be expected in Malibu. Loved the galleries, the gem shop, and the little aquariums in the common area.

2023-06-09 00:57:37First time to be here. It’s a good shopping mall. Restaurants are packed so decided to have a to go - desert from mastros and cup of coffee from Starbucks and while doing my walk, have to watch the beautiful sunset.

2023-10-19 23:13:22Amazing view of the ocean, good stores, but the security are debbie-downers! They dont like you walking around taking pictures when there are cool cars about, and they act like youre going to break in, or when youre in a group, they will follow you around to make sure you arent up to no good. Very bizarre!

2020-12-08 17:01:44I love this place! There are plenty of nice shops to look at, a Starbucks and quite a few nice restaurants. Down one end is a Trader Joe’s for you groceries and up the other end is an Aston Martin car dealer. There is also plenty of fancy cars coming and going.

2023-06-18 00:32:46Ive been here multiple times recently for shopping and had to leave because I could not find a parking spot after searching for several minutes. Ive seen people walking back from the beach even though the signs say no beach parking. I suspect a lot of people are doing this because the shopping center doesnt seem to be busy enough for the parking lot to be that full. Ive been shopping here for years and the parking situation has never been a bad as it has been lately.
