This place makes great dimsum. I LOVE THEM!!Starting out with appetizers, getting these fried items are great options. Make sure to eat while they’re hot and crispy for the best taste and texture. They come with mayo dip too but I don’t think you need it.Main dimsum dishes are great! My favorites are har gow and shumai. You get big prawns, awesome scallops and soft pork inside. They’re perfectly seasoned and mixed well before steaming. SIMPLY EXQUISITE.The sticky rice is GREAT too if you want something very filling (and with GREAT yummy filling) No sauce needed for any item - they’re very delicious on their own!OMG THE BAOS I love the yellow custard bun - it’s got tasty custard that melts in your mouth. Pork buns are very well made too!Side dishes are absolutely wonderful traditional Chinese dishes. Fried rice is very Asian. I LOVE IT!! Chicken feet is actually one of the best I’ve had. They’re FAT!! To get even fancier, try beef tribe.I got iced tea as my drink. It’s sweet but not too sweet. Great for accompanying dimsum and cutting the flavor very well.
Crystal Dumplings was delicious! We happened to go during their 1 year anniversary and everything we ordered was wonderful! We got scallop and shrimp dumplings, bbq pork bun, shumai, seasame balls, sticky rice and chicken feet to eat. My personal favorite was the scallop and shrimp dumplings. For drinks we got Thai tea and green tea Thai tea which were perfectly sweet without being too creamy. The service was great, the entertainment for the event (ballon artist) was fun and had the kids really enthralled. I would 100% recommend checking this place out if you want good, quick dim sum.
Came in on a Sunday with my cousin, most dim sum places were crowded and this place was more quiet and less crowded. Service is good, you order what you want and they call your number. The food was ok it got the job done!!
Amazing! Enjoyed everything I got, the soup dumplings, baozi, fried beef gyoza, and salted egg bun were all delicious, and so was the milk tea. Heavily recommend!
Dim sum fresh made. I like the hargow and banh cuon tom because the dough is handmade and chewy. Some of the breakfast items taste different than the other places in OC but I like it. The people that work here are friendly and you should give it a try.

Quick service. Dim sum was very good. Only downside was the menu is limited (although the restaurant name is express which is why they prob dont have a larger menu). You walk up to counter and order and then they call your number.
We ordered a lot of food and all of it tasted divine! The food came fast for the amount we ordered. Everything was really good, especially the pork shrimp shumai. Their shumai taste authentic!

The food here is very good and at a great price. It’s more of a to-go style but there is some indoor seating in the nicely decorated interior. Great experience. Will definitely return.
Great dim sum place with lots of options to choose from. My favorite item is the fried shrimp bean curd rolls which are so crispy and delicious. I also love their green thai tea which is refreshing and has a nice flavor. Overall, I recommend coming here for the delicious food and great service.

Came here 3 times since I live close by. The Dim Sum selection is a bit limited and a little pricey for a take out place. The quality can also be inconsistent and their food tend to be very salty with a lot of MSG. The place does looks clean and pretty well run though. However, I do recommend passing on their dipping sauces since theres quite a bit of MSG in them as well.Would be great if they can add a few more items to their menu and maybe give the customers a bit more food for the price. Also pay more attention to food quality. Dont over-fry or re-fry the food because it is pretty unhealthy and it doesnt look very appetizing 😣.

It’s my 3rd time here and food has been consistently delicious! Especially love the pork shrimp shiu mai. BBQ buns also yummy! Staff is also very friendly. It looks and feels cleaner than most Asian establishments. It’s one of my favorites in the area!

There’s always a lot of ppl coming and going. The interior is small but decorated really nicely. They serve all the classic dimsum items plus a couple different ones.Their drinks are really good too, especially Hong Kong lemon iced tea!
So much good about this place! They have a limited menu And a party of four tried everything! Some personal favorites were the chive and shrimp dumplings, the barbecued beef wontons, and the the shrimp and scallop dumplings, which were wrapped in red rice paper.Clean, friendly, masked. I read the reviews and was excited to see so many good ratings. Mom and I ordered shrimp shumai, chicken feet, pork shumai, fried rice, fried wrapped bean curd,salted bun bao, crystal boba and hk lemon style tea. I never got my crystal bobo but they did not ring it up, oh well. Food wasnt that tasty and its packaged to go. No Chinese broccoli, No hot tea offered for dim sum, not even a choice on the menu, no porridge and around $35 for 2. The lady was polite taking the order but I will not be back.
This is the best dim sum in the OC area bc of you can TASTE the quality of ingredients. The shrimp in the ha cao is always plump! The ginger in their finishes is always fragrant and fresh. Simple dishes done well. The absolute best dish for me is the FRIED SHRIMP BEANCURD ROLLS. Always crispy and savory!!

I tried half the food they have on the menu so far and all of it was delicious. It’s a small shop and it’s very nice and clean. Everything was very affordable and more importantly tasted amazing. They mentioned that they will be adding to the menu so I can’t wait to try all the new items. Service was very fast and the customer service was very friendly and patient when I was taking my time to decide what to get. Definitely coming back for more.
Well not what I expected. Im used to the carts serving hot dumplings with various choices along with desert. Although the items we ordered were tasty, the dining room was empty and cold and since they serve you everything at once, are food got cold by the time we had a chance to eat them. I dont think I would return.

Maybe I am spoiled as a Cantonese Chinese who grew up eating authentic dim sum, but this is NOT worth 4.7-star authentic dim sum? Not fresh nor tasty. Even the fried rice is too bland and pale. Food is about the same quality as what I had in Detroit’s one-and-only dim sum restaurant. For California standard, this is below average. I rather drive to Monterey Park or Irvine for dim sum next time.

Dim sum here is amazing, especially the xiu mai. Far out-competes other local dim sum places in terms of quality and price. Other places can run you $6 for four pieces. Crystal Dumplings does $4 for four without compromising on flavor or juiciness. The only complaints I have is they close pretty early at 4pm and they dont have soup dumplings on their menu.

The establishment is tucked away in a corner of the shopping plaza. We always get the spare ribs, red scallop dumpling, pork xiu mai, rice shrimp noodle rolls.

2022-12-12 06:42:30I went to our usual Dim Sum place for a big Sunday lunch, got everything we needed but they were out of Shumai. A quick Google search and I found Crystal Dumplings. This is a clean and well decorated shop, not sure, but it feels like a mom and pop place. We ordered three or four orders of Shumai and grabbed a couple of other things we didn’t know we needed. We got a scallop and shrimp dumplings as well as two salted egg buns. Everything was so delicious! The Shumai were very large and meaty. They had a good chew to them, you knew you were eating meat, not just ground up pasty stuff. They scallop and shrimp dumplings were also really good. We were surprised by the red color of the wrappers, it made for a really cool affect. I ended the meal with the salted egg buns which were very good. I love custard but I am usually disappointed with most dim sum custard buns, these were really good. Next time I’m going to Crystal dumplings and get all of my dim sum from them. The lady that helped us was very nice and helpful. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience and we can’t wait to return.Edit: Came back and ate in. They are so nice and the place is very clean. We got the Pork Shrimp Shumai, Shrimp Dumplings, Shrimp Scallop Dumplings, Shrimp and Chive Dumplings, Shrimp Rice Noddle rolls, Spicy Wonton in Chili Sauce, Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf, Spare Ribs with Black Bean, House Fried Rice, BBQ Pork Buns, Custard Buns, Salted Egg Buns, Fried Shrimp Beancurd rolls, Fried BBQ Beef Wontons and Fried Seafood Spring Rolls. Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf, Spare Ribs with Black Bean and House Fried Rice we could have left off. The Pork Shrimp Shumai is one of our favorites, this is probably the biggest Shumai out there, very dense and comforting. My wife usually doesnt like Shumai as she says it is too gamey but this one she loves, probably the shrimp adds a sweetness to the pork. I was amazed by the Fried Shrimp Beancurd rolls, the wrappers were so thin I was surprised they survived the fryer, this light coating from the fryer highlighted the filling, not the cooking method. My friend also commented on how light the breading on the Fried Seafood Spring Rolls was, it was more of a breaded and fried roll but it was so light and delicate that it didnt overshadow the seafood. Everyone, especially the kids, loved the Fried BBQ Beef Wontons, and we ended up ordering more. The star was the Salted Egg Buns which we ordered more of, then ordered more to go then our friend ordered more to go, they are that good. We ended up leaving with Shumai, Wontons and Salted Egg Buns to go and had them for dinner with some edamame.

I ordered for pick up: hakau (only Won Kok in San Francisco was fresher), pork/shrimp shumai (giant), shrimp rice rolls (like hakau, except more tender), shrimp and chive dumplings (the wrapper is vegetarian), soup dumplings, and braised spare ribs. If youre in the mood for dumplings, this is the place.

My favorite is the custard buns and my finance loves the shumai! We wanted to try the salted egg buns, but theyre only available on weekends. We will be back to try more. Highly recommend!

2022-09-04 20:12:47Boyfriend and I were in the mood for dim sum and found this through a quick Google search. The interior is small but not cramped. We ordered shu mai, shrimp dumplings, shrimp rice noodle rolls, and fried bean curd rolls. The food came out within five minutes of ordering and everything was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised at the crispy texture of the fried bean curd since normally those are more mushy. Total came out to be $40 which is not bad at all for the amount of food we ordered. The service was great, cashier was super friendly and easy to talk to. Would consider stopping by again if Im in the area!

2021-12-19 20:43:20Crystal Dumplings has the freshest dumplings and excellent customer service. The staff is always friendly and cheerful and the food is always hot and tasty. We love the Sea Salt Thai Green Tea, Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf, Fried BBQ Beef Wontons, Stewed Chicken Feet, and Sesame Balls!

2020-12-21 00:41:29Crystal Dumplings is currently in soft opening mode with a limited menu. The server said they should be transitioning to a full menu by the end of the year. I know its a to-go spot but I had a big order so I called ahead. Also, call ahead if youre in a hurry and want the salted egg buns. They took awhile to steam. I ordered a little bit of everything to try:Shrimp ha cao | I love how the skin isnt thick and theres a lot of shrimp.Shumai | one of my fave items here. Delicious.Chicken feet | not dry, flavorfulFried rice | standard fried riceTau hu ky | yum! So crispy and good.Beef wontons | my sisters favorite item here. Its very savory. Not like your traditional gyoza.Pork ribs | standard. Not bad.Salted egg buns | my sis and dad said its one of the best theyve ever had.Definitely coming back for their full menu. My family really enjoyed everything.

2020-11-28 23:52:53I feel bad because there are not many people know this place due to the pandemic. Their siumai is DELICIOUS. I also love fried bean curd. The chicken feet are overcooked for me, but other dishes are over my expectation. Will come back to try all items on the menu ❤❤❤❤❤
