They now serve Vietnamese Pho, and its legit delicious! Since the new owner is Vietnamese, you can be sure they know how to cook it. The owner is so proud to informed us that the recipe is a family recipe from generations to generations. You can taste that the broth is not just made from a powder, its with actual bone boiled for hours. The serving is very generous, with lots of meats and vegetables. Place is clean, people are nice and kind, server is good as well. There are lots of parking spaces available. The place is beside FoodTrip, a popular Filipino Restaurant.

Cuginis used to be the best Italian place in Santa Maria. it got sold. the new owner is extremely rude. he specifically said he will not update the schedule on Google, which is not accurate. and he was trying to push his new Vietnamese soup on me.the cashier must have been under the influence, he was so confused by every word. I had to repeat, Im eating here about 7 times. and then I watched him prepare my salad with his bare hands after handling money and cleaning materials. I swear Im not a Karen 😭 it was just such a horrible experience, when I was used to excellent service with the previous owner. its not worth the money anymore. the pasta was flavorless as well....

This place was my favorite for years. There pizza was very much like true New York pizza. There cust was fresh and homemade. Now the cust seems generic. The sauce is still good. Something is off about the cheese. Honestly it reminds me of frozen pizza. It saddens me because the owner always used to be there and she cared about quality.

I give this place a solid 4... out of 10. Not sure if it was a bad batch or cook yesterday but I will not eat here again rather just go to Costco. Meatball sub had barely any cheese or sauce and meat was bland with no seasoning. Pizza itself was one of few Ive eaten that I will not buy again. Wings were decent 7/10. Not sure where the hype reviews are coming from but Im not picky and would recommend avoiding.

Stopped in for a pizza on our drive back home from Monterey. Got a large normal crust pizza. It dough tasted amazing and had the cheese melted perfectly. The owner was an amazing and very friendly. Staff definitely matched her energy. Definitely recommend.

We went for a late lunch yesterday and were very impressed by the service and food. The new owner was there and came to talk to us, which rarely happens anymore. He seems to really care that his customers are satisfied. I had the beef ravioli, it was served nice and hot and my son had the lasagna. Both were very good. I highly recommend supporting this restaurant. I was surprised that it had a new owner because the previous ones were also very caring.

Ordered Butternut Squash Ravioli to-go and was disappointed with the taste and size of the Ravioli. Its giant! You can make 4 regular sized Ravioli out of one! I got four of these giant Raviolis. At first I thought they got my order wrong, because they were squished together, but once I transfered one in a plate, that wasnt the case. Is there a standard Ravioli size? I dont know, it just looks weird this huge. The filling doesnt taste like Butternut Squash either, in fact its just cheese. Maybe ricotta. So, Im not sure what part has the Butternut Squash for it to be called Butternut Squash Ravioli. The sauce is orange, so I thought that would be were the Butternut Squash is, but all I taste were tomatoes.On another note, Ive had their pizza before and that was great, so Im averaging my scores for that order and this and giving them a two-star rating.

The food is solid, probably the best reasonably priced Italian in the city. The atmosphere is great, portions are solid and the food is tasty and worth the price. Their location is a bit out of line with the price point but once inside it’s easy to forget Ross and the 99 Store as you breath in the savory aromas of good Italian fare.

My husband and I have been coming here for 6 years. They are amazing, the owner is always there and super friendly, the raviolis are to die for. I used to love their spinach ravioli but due to covid they stopped doing those, but the beef ones are a super close second. 100% recommend

Friendly staff, but product is overpriced for what it is. $17.50 for a single portion of average tortellini is poor value, as is $23.50 for 8 slices of average pizza. Improve the “wow” factor of the food and perhaps it would become worth the money spent.

We are from UK, and doing a tour of the US looking for a restaurant in Santa Maria where we were staying at the time.....we discovered this restaurant on the internet, we werent disappointed !The ravioli was delicious and my husband had the pizza which he found very tasty and thoroughly enjoyed !Louise the owner was very friendly and explained all our options, all reasonably priced too!We certainly would recommend this Pizzeria and Trattoria

Cant beat the quality, and its surprisingly affordable. Owner is very nice and genuine. Healthy, satisfying food for vegetarians and meat lovers. When it comes to Pizza I am going to be 100% honest. After so many times passing by this location I decided to finally try it out.I placed my order by phone, when I arrived my order was not yet made! And let me say that I am a very understandable person so I had no issue waiting for the pizza. Errors happen.The owner apologized and offer me a free salad, she was really friendly so thats obviously a plus for a business.Getting on the pizza, I expected a little bit more. I enjoyed the consistency of the dough and sauce but the flavor wasnt there yet. Honestly I dont like bringing down business and I am not doing this for that. I might have had a day where my taste buds just werent there.I definently have to come back and order a different topping and give them another try.Overall the service was top notch! Very friendly and honest. I rate 4 stars because either way I still enjoyed the pizza, but again the flavor wasnt there to earned the 5 star yet.I still recommend it BIG TIME 👌

I was in Santa Maria traveling and found this place for pizza. It was very good. I thought it could have used more cheese, but then again it may have affected the blend of flavor which was wonderful. I got a pepperoni and meatball pizza. The meatballs were sliced and home-made. I also got a couple of dinner rolls which were fresh and the connoli for dessert. I noticed they have home-made ravioli there, as well.

The food is really good here. The wings and garlic bites are my favorite thing there. My only complaint is the pizza lacks a little sauce. If they added more it would be better although I may just ask for them to make it with extra sauce. My girlfriend loves the pasta shes had there and the service is pretty good.

We had a large 3 topping pizza with their homemade sausage, mushrooms, and pepperoni and ordered it well done on traditional crust (they offer a thin crust too). The pizza was OUTSTANDING! The crust was nice and crispy...you could pick up a piece and eat it out of hand without it falling over. We really loved it.

Went here when I 1st visited Santa Maria. Was impressed with the Sicilian slices. My Italian NY taste buds were pleasantly surprised by the sauce and crust. Now that I live here, Ive tried all the local pizza places, but this place is my favorite. Cozy atmosphere, great service, better food. Btw, try the pink sauce!

We used Cuigini for our casual rehearsal dinner on Friday night. We invited everyone to our rehearsal dinner which was about 90-100 or so people. The food was solid, hearty, and very affordable. It was our comfort food the day before our big day. The guests enjoyed having the options of pizza, pasta, a 6 foot sub, and salad. They have many options for toppings.

This restaurant is very nice, comfortable ambience, there are TVs but volume is low.The staff are very friendly and expect to be greated at some time by the owner. The food is good and fresh. On a side note, a patron was having difficulty eating while holding a new born. The owner came over and motherly took the baby for a brief time so mom could eat. Is that great hospitality or what!

Our new go to spot! My husband & I went for a stroll with our 8month old, we ended up stopping in for some dinner and let me tell you the staff was freaking amazing as well as the owner! We felt super comfortable there baby, stroller and all haha the food was really good! We plan on going back next Sunday for the spaghetti my husband was eyeballing haha good prices as well! So glad we found this spot because being Sicilian I love me some Italian food!

I’ve been here twice now. The first time I had a meatball sandwich and deep dish pizza and ate it all in one sitting. The second time I was absolutely blown away by the taste of the beef ravioli in tomato sauce, I’ve never had better tasting fresh handmade ravioli. So good I forgot I ordered a thin crust pizza with it, ate that too in one sitting. I am not fat either :)

My mother didnt really like the pasta. My nephew said the pizza was ok. The breaded fish tasted like old oil and the fries had no seasoning. I was let down because everything smelled so good. It was rather disappointing. We barely ate any of it and tossed it out.

Loved the food here. Its a small mom and pop place that we found thanks to Google reviews. The service here is amazing, from the second we arrived staff were friendly and helpful and gave us ordering suggestions. The calzone my fiancee had was off the hook. Hands down best calzone I have ever had the privelege of tasting. The owner came by to check on us and per our conversation confirmed that they use all fresh ingredients and make their own sausage. The dressing on my Caesar salad was incredibly fresh and had a very zesty flavor,l and they served it with a fresh warm dinner roll. Also very happy with the Isabella pizza that I ordered.

I love Cugini’s food. I’ve came here frequently for years. I usually get the daily specials I get a slice of Hawaiian and Caesar salad I also like to get the three salad sampler which comes with three sides of salad for less than $12! The cannolis are to die for, always so fresh tasting, best authentic Italian food on the central coast. 10/10 must try!

A family friendly pizza and pasta restaurant. We were there with two grandkids, 12 and 15. They both wanted different pizzas, the owner, lovely woman, suggested a large pizza that she could divide into quarters to provide any combination that we wanted. Then we we were going to order two large salads for the four of us she suggested that one would be plenty, and of course, she was right! A wonderful green salad with nice dressing. Service was fast and the food was very good. I would definitely go back. They can, also accommodate large parties of 10 to 12.

Had 22 of us in town for a bike race.. half of us were hungry teenage mountain bikers.. I called ahead and made reservations and they were very accommodating. (I googled best places to eat in Santa Maria and this place came up a few times, so I decided to try it). Plus the menu had beer and wine for the adults, along with pastas, salads etc, if someone didnt want pizza. We arrived and the staff was so welcoming.. Two officers were eating there when we arrived and later the fire dept. came to pick up food, so we knew we landed a good spot!

A plethora of their menu is concocted on site and they do justice to the traditional deep dish. The only place I would eat its salad because all the other foods taste so hopeless. Or perhaps I should try Mediterranean food in this Italian restaurant. Their pizza is so thick that can make it a bread by itself. 70% of their tiramisu is probably just gelatin and whipping cream instead of mascarpone cream. Meatball is so bland and the lasagna has flavor worst than frozen meal bought at grocery stores.

I have been to this place a few times. I like this place especially because (I think she is the owner) this person is passionate and proud about her business, product and service. The atmosphere is like a place that is locally owned and operated...which is a good thing! If you let, you will get to know the owner fairly quickly :) Food is great. I have tried pasta, pizza and salad both for lunch and dinner. I am mostly pleased with the flavor, freshness, service, and above all the price. They also cater for work events and if you plan ahead of time, you can arrange for a delivery...which is a great service that Cugini’s offer. If you haven’t, give this locally owned and operated Italian reastaurant a try. You won’t be disappointed. Bon appétit!

Not just for pizza either the pasta the sandwiches and oh man the salads. Met the owner our first time in who talked with us and made us feel like we where visiting royalty. I was in this afternoon and ordered one piece of pizza to go, the young lady helping the owner burnt it, she should have noticed it because when I opened the box at home you could see the burnt edges without picking it up.
