We stopped here while outlet shopping. Service was very friendly and fast despite how busy it was. The atmosphere is lively and loud with a sports bar vibe and Mexican music. The menu was Mexican/Asian fusion. Chips and salsa were great ~ spicy! We ordered asada fries with guacamole, fried calamari with fried jalapeños, and a Gilroy roll ~ all delicious. It was way more than the two of us could eat! We also had a tamarind wine margarita, which was tasty and served with an orchid flower... festive! Id go back if I were in the area.

I visited with a group of friends and the food was ok.. The vibrant paintings inside are very colorful and playful..Just the down fall is that at the time of paying they added an extra charge because they hadnt upgraded their menus since covid...I felt some sort of way.

Margarita and michelada were OKAY i love the decoration on the margarita. The moc roll is one that gets ordered a lot but personally the rice was mushy … tacos were good ! The nova sushi was good also … I wouldn’t be back due to waiting 40 minutes to get our food and noticed other tables were getting there after us and had their food.

The only thing is the sur charge(10%) that is included ( tip) don’t get me wrong in pro tip 18% is great but I didn’t know and I tip extra since they didn’t explain it was 10% after 100 so technically I tip $38 dollars out of $101 the service was OK, if you order Aguachile ask fo little onions, they go all the way with it.

Growing up in San Diego I consider myself a Mexican food connoisseur. My wife heard about Culichis on Facebook. We looked at the menu online and decided to give them a try. With Covid you can only get food to go. We ordered a Mahi Mahi Taco, a Shrimp Taco, a Pulpitaco, (Octopus) and a Gringa quesadilla that has Carne Asada and Shrimp.Each item was excellent. We loved every dish. The only downside to the food at Culichis is their pricing. 3 tacos and a quesadilla cost $34. Pretty pricey in my opinion, but their quality is very good. Looking forward to coming back after the pandemic is over so we can try their bar offerings.

First time here at Culichis. I read the negative reviews but it was the complete opposite for us. Food arrived within 10mins. Ordered the Camarones Culichis and Gratinado Especial. Both were really tasty and well presented. Service was great! Highly recommend for Mexican/Asian Fusion.👌🏼

Fusion confusion is real. The thought process behind asian-mexican fusion is great but just not excuted properly. First, menu was not bad. More like bar menu. I ordered novu sushi roll. The outside was deep fried i suppose as it was crunchy which gave my food the texture it needs. As far as flavor, the outside was greasy. The cream cheese filling was way too over powering and the rice was just too much. Those were the only 2 component i really tasted. Even though the sauce cuts down the richness of the dish but overall lacking in flavor. The meat had some sweet note flavor to it but gets lost and shrimp did not contribute to the flavor of the dish nor did the carrots and spring onions on the side. The concept of sushi and seafood was not clear in this establishment. In my own personal opinion, the proportion of rice to filling was not good. They did however execute presentation well. I think if they marinate the beef more and add more in the dish rather than just putting 2 sm pcs, and less rice, then it would probably enhance the flavor of the dish or maybe hickory smoked even.

Exceptionally good food with STELLAR service! Culichis Urban Kitchen is a fusion between, Seafood, Mexican and American food, so there is quite a bit of choices to choose from. I have been here a few times now and each time Ive tried a different type of food and Im telling you, simply DELICIOSO! The hostess Ashley was beyond personable, knowledgeable and kind and that really made this an amazing experience for my husband and I. We will definitely be going back whenever we go out for a bite as this has become our favorite place to eat in Gilroy, thats for sure!Lastly, it would be very remiss of me not to mention the absolutely amazing Asada Tacos that I had today. OMG, they were filled to the brim with juicy flavorful Asada and Im telling you, they were absolutely AMAZING!

Had a wonderful birthday dinner with my family. Bartender & waitress was very helpful and accommodating with food and drink selections. The entire staff was friendly and hospitable. Margaritas were perfectly poured, which I appreciated greatly. I will definitely be returning!

It was a long wait for only 4 rolls. Even then the rolls were mediocre. Way too much rice and I had to use lots of chipotle sauce to even enjoy it. Not authentic or worth the price. Ridiculous.

The food was great, service was as well but they need to give a receipt and be more transparent about the automatic gratuity that included in the bill. The server will try to show you the tab on a small smartphone which is not the way to go about giving the bill. My tab was $180 for a family of 5 and I ended up tipping an extra $30 on top of that. The customer shouldn’t have to work extra to make sure they are not being taken advantage of.

Beware of the hidden charges. The food is good and the service is also good. However, nowhere on their menu, entrances, or online does it state about surcharges and CA living charge (which can be a violation of California laws). Keep in mind that it was only two people dinning so it wasnt like a huge party where businesses usually state that they will charge a fee for larger groups.

Atmosphere is good, prices are over the top from other restaurants of this kind, food is 8/10 since they dont serve the dishes as it says on the menu. They should really pay more attention and for the waitress not to know what really comes on the plate or maybe because other customers dont say nothing. The food was great and the people who work there were really nice. I went in with my three month old who was sleeping and they offered to turn down the volume for the music so it wouldn’t wake the baby. They constantly walked around making sure we didn’t need anything else. All the waiters were friendly.

Saw an ad. everything advertised looked delicious. We tried it and i must say i rather go to La Hacienda in Salinas & Samurai Japanese restaurant.Tried the Culichis seafood pasta it was blan, no flavor, not creamy, the shrimp isnt peeled, little crab leg no way to eat it, octopus tough to eat. $21 for this dish. Tried the hot avocado roll inside no flavor on top cream sauce was good but shrimp had some shrimp scale/shell still on it. The rice & beans no way no flavor. The skirt steak was not bad it did have flavor wasnt chewy. Overall very disappointing. Gave 2 stars because our server was nice . Also, I must add the music was way to loud it could be turn down a bit its a small room the music echos theres no way one can talk had to scream the order to the server.

They have a really nice outside setup and theme going on, very attractive and space heaters to help. The staff was very courteous to my group and offered some great suggestions on their menu. I personally ordered the aguachiles verdes, it was delicious! My friends ordered tacos and other items from the menu, their portions were HUGE! We really enjoyed their margarita flight drinks, absolutely delicious!

Service was slow... They messed up our order we order different tacos to give it a try but we end up with repeated ones! Sushi was good! We had Tierra y Mar. The strawbery margarita didnt taste like strawberry it look pretty but it was just lime juice and tequila with some red color and pieces of strawberries. They were out of some drinks the server said they were only serving michelada modelos and margaritas. From getting a table to serving the food was about 1 hour and 40 minutes. If you go get ready to wait. The vibe is good just needs improvement! I will try later again! Maybe it was not the right day!

Not what I expected when it comes to their food quality, location, over-priced $$$ food totally different experience from what Ive heard about this restaurant... sushi had a very thick layer rice on the outside, shrimp cocktail had more Pico de gallo than shrimp, the aguachiles shrimp to my taste was not well not prepared shrimp was undercooked in the lemon juice... we were told that administration keeps eliminating items from the menu so that kind of limits menu choices from the original menu not planning on going back any time soon. First of all when we arrived, we waited more than 15 mins for employees to even acknowledge us. They didnt even greet us or tell us out of courtesy that they were busy.When the lady arrived she rushed us.They were closing in an hour she mentioned it. When we were ordering we were cut off asking if we still wanted the order because of the wait time of 45Mins! It was very rude of the employees to not greet us out of courtesy and make us wait a long time.

Mexican, Japanese fusion. Tasteless sushi - pretty but a failed attempt at fusion. Waiter cleaned our table with a wet cloth while we waited. No attempt to disinfect. We disinfected the table. The kids requested a soda refill. Never happened. Waiter had only 4 tables. Had to go to him to get tableware after being served dinner. He didnt even notice. Had to go to him for water pitcher refill. We just didnt see much of him. Wont ever go back!!!!
