2023-08-30 19:45:46Love Curry Craft, been to both locations a few times. We went right at opening time on Sunday morning for the buffet, there was a lot of dishes to try, but most of the standard dishes were there as well, so my wife was happy😂. Everything was really good. Great flavors, quality, and value. They had a special street food station setup with two new street foods to try. The staff was helpful and kind. They left us our own water pitcher on the table which I am a fan of, as I drink tons of water and waiters often can’t keep up with me. They brought us a couple special samples to try, they also prepared them, and showed us how to eat them as they were unfamiliar foods to us. The only minor negative was the tandoori chicken was cool, but I’m sure that’s because we showed up right as they were opening. It was still delicious and I happily ate all of it anyway. Can’t wait to return!

2023-09-26 20:42:41Good dining place for an Indian meal. Their Sunday buffets are value for money. The staff is friendly. We could see many regular customers. This place seemed to be popular with non-Indians as well.

2023-12-05 12:30:23Dec 2023. Saw owner changed in this restaurant, food was already tasty under previous owners but new one even improved it so much. Very good taste, everything was perfect. Not too much spice, not too salty either, perfect blend. Usually so many other Indian restaurants make food too spicy or not spicy at all, if I tell them to make it spicy they would put too much chilly and not salt that makes experience bad. But this one is perfect. hope they buys more area and have more varieties of food.

2023-05-14 21:35:24Super delicious and best buffet in San Diego county and amazing Indian restaurant for San Marcos residents. My husband and I came here for Mother’s Day special buffet. The Nordahl location serves live chat counter at times on buffet weekends. We had aloo tikki chaat and panipuri. The water for pani puri was so flavourful and balanced in taste. The main course had several tasty varieties and good vegetarian options too. We would also love to try their a la carte. Servers offer good hospitality. All in all, do try out their buffet at Nordahl.

2022-06-27 14:43:59Food: 4/5Service and Setting: 3/5Value: 3/5I have been visiting new areas and found Curry Craft and decided to visit. The restaurant is spacious and clean, in particular the buffet section looks very well maintained. Going in, you sort of just serve yourself. When I found someone who worked there, he just gestured to me to eat haha. After you get some food and sit, they will bring you a pitcher of water and ask what type of naan you would like. It is a dollar more for garlic naan. Curry Craft’s food is a notch up from the typical Indian buffet and worth a visit! I read a passionate review from someone saying that the food was very spicy, but I found it to have almost 0 heat, but rather everything sort of leaned on the saltier end. I wish that they would put napkin dispersers on all of the tables as it was very odd to sit down and forget to grab them at the buffet, but everything else was great! The water glasses were particularly well cleaned. I have arranged the foods from best to worst for your ease of reading! The ratings are done on a buffet scale, not a normal scale.Bhindi Masala: 5/5This is the crown jewel of this buffet. It was absolutely delicious with a unique seasoning. Be warned, as you eat it the slimy texture of the bhindi (okra) will start to manifest itself, but this is seriously delicious and well made!Tandoori Chicken: 5/5They do a good job with this dish here. Each piece has a nice bit of char, though I legit got a leg that turned into charcoal. It is not too dry and has a deep savory flavor. I think this tandoori chicken can hold up against any non-buffet version! A pricey item and a great option if you want a straight protein.Vegetable Pakora: 4.5/5This is one of the better vegetable pakora I have had even in non-buffet style restaurants. The pakoras were not dry and the batter coating the veggies was fully cooked. The pakoras are mostly onion and have a strong yet sweet taste. This dish was particularly salty.Dal Makhani: 4.5/5This was pretty standard. I like my dal makhani to have a lot of deep flavor. This was not that, but it did have a rich creaminess and solid nonetheless.Garlic Naan: 4/5Great naan! It was crispy, fresh, buttery, and had tons of garlic and cilantro. The only thing that was odd was that I felt that it did not match the food. The copious amounts of garlic were unable to be tamed by the mild curries served, it may be in your best interest to get plain!Gulab Jamun: 4/5I definitely prefer warmed gulab jamun, but cold was a refreshing way to end the meal.Paneer Pakora: 3.5/5I think they put this out by mistake, but I got the last one. Bland by nature, the paneer pakoras were lightly battered.Chana Masala: 3/5I love me some chana masala but I was disappointed that it tasted fairly generic with a little extra cardamom.Butter Chicken: 3/5The butter chicken is better than the chicken curry and has a very familiar taste. I found it to be a bit too rich with dairy.Raita: 2.5/5I liked their raita though it was very cucumber forward. Slightly thicker than what I am used to.Samosa: 2.5/5Like most of the food, pretty standard. I found the wrapper to be quite thick and the filling to be the most salty of the food here. This was surprisingly the spiciest thing I ate with a clear kick of chili.Chicken Curry: 2.5/5This one was pretty average, almost forgettable.Vegetable Korma: 2/5I was never a fan of vegetable korma and Curry Craft’s version is similar to the rest. It was a creamy and sweet curry with a mixture of veggies.Mango Lassi: 2/5I bought this separately and it was pretty meh. It was very sweet and thick and not cold enough.Rice: 2/5The rice tasted pretty fresh but the overall bite was dry.Saag Paneer: 1.5/5I found the taste of this to be slightly odd. It had a gluey texture and was bland in the oddest way, very hard to explain.Kheer: 1/5Kheer is literally my favorite dessert and I was so sad when I tried it. There was a distinct Windex flavor that never seemed to go

2023-09-22 08:17:19I travel a lot in San Diego for my transportation business, and I was yearning for some delicious meals. I was passing by on the freeway and saw another restaurant (which I wont name) give me really bad customer service, they were just newly opened so I dont want to give them a bad review anyway, so I left that restaurant and as soon as I made a left turn on center drive to make an u turn to go back to the freeway, I saw Curry Craft and my stomach growled to tell me I want some spice in me baby lol so I gave it a try. I went inside around buffet time; it was a nice atmosphere with pleasant folks. Because there were so many options, I tried a little bit of everything on the buffet. The cuisine was amazing, and I highly recommend that everyone visit this restaurant. Im going back there shortly.

2023-09-02 23:28:39I got food catered for my son’s graduation. The food was delicious was in generous quantities. All my guests enjoyed and wanted to know where I ordered the food from! Gary, the co-owner, communicated very well and answered all my questions about pricing. He also accommodated my requests for the changes I needed to make in my order. Curry Craft will be my go-to place for any Indian food!

2023-10-23 01:13:06Went here for the great option of a buffet. Ive been on the search for an Indian buffet as I wanted to try out multiple dishes.Curry Craft did not disappoint! All the most popular currys are included along with samosas, salad, a really tasty cracker side and delectable garlic naan, and some others that I have not tried before.Actually a decent amount of Vegetarian options if that is what you like.Btw their sweet pudding is great! As well as their Mango Lassi, yum!I will be back as I love having the option for trying different things.Plus the host there is very kind and has a pleasant sense of humor
