I cannot recommend Dabao Singapore and Emily Lim enough!! I’ve ordered her laksa in the past and it became a fast favorite. I recently ordered a number of dishes for a family get-together and Emily patiently answered my questions about portion sizes and seamlessly combined my orders when I decided last-minute to buy some additional items. The reheating directions were well-written and everything came out super delicious!!

My foodie friend from Singapore told me about Emily and her food… we bought a mountain of her offerings and had a big group dinner at his place to check it all out and learn about Singaporean food. Everything was absolutely amazing and everyone loved it. In an era where travel is difficult or impossible, I’m grateful for places like Dabao… a little slice of international adventure right here in SF. I can’t wait to eat her food again.

Stop scrolling - you found it - the best Singaporean food outside of Singapore. Just start your order now. You’ll be so happy you did.Dabao Singapore has the best chicken and rice in the city, if not the country. Better than Gai, Rooster and Rice and Mr. Hen hands down. The chicken is so moist. The rice is hyper addictive and the 3 sauces tie it all together. Absolutely AMAZINGGGG! I’m drooling as I write this just thinking about eating itAlso, their laksa is bomb. And don’t even get me started about their chili crab. Just phenomenal. The various rice crispies are a nice finish at the end of the meal for my sweet toothI came across DBS in the most recent Rising Chefs magazine (how I stay on top of hot SF food trends).After my first order, I placed them at the top weekly rotation of food deliveries. I can’t imagine life with out them. Thanks for all the yummy meals 🙏Im probably one of your many super happy customers!

WOW! Dabao Singapore is a hidden gem of delivery delight. They are a ghost kitchen and don’t have a store front (yet)!  Their menu offers a diverse range of mouthwatering Singaporean dishes that cater to almost every palate out there; like Vegan Laksa..What!? That’s unheard of..and it’s absolutely delish  Their food is astonishingly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Their delivery service is prompt, ensuring your meal arrives within the time slot selected at check out. Highly recommended for a satisfying, at home dining experience!

I absolutely love Chef Em’s food! Everything I have ordered from Dabao Singapore has always been delicious and I keep coming back for more. During the pandemic, her Laksa provided much needed comfort, like a warm, rich, soothing flavor blanket. I am so happy that Dabao Singapore has made it through the other side of it… while adding more deliciousness to the menu! Her Laksa is a definite MUST EAT, like every week. Her rotating menu of dishes will keep your tastebuds excited and happy, but sometimes a bit sad when it rotates out for the next round. But trust, I have never been disappointed when the next round rolls in because everything on the menu is freaking incredible!

After years of fruitless searching for a delicious, rich, laksa with actual “umph,” the first bite of Dabao’s Laksa was hard to believe… THIS was something I could get in the States?! No way. Too good to be true. But then they just kept delivering on the flavor, time and time again! One of my favorite things about this spot is that they always have their classics (laksa and then a vegan laksa that plant based friends have loved) but add in a rotating menu such as char kway teow (my favorite) or nasi lemak that are reliably so, so good. Dabao punches way above its weight and honestly deserves to be included in the pantheon of San Francisco greats.

I am obsessed with Chef Emily Lims food. First, I tried the Laksa, which blew my mind. Then I had the Chili Crab and became weak in the knees. Then the Chwee Kueh, and I thought, why arent I eating this every day? I am so happy to have been introduced to Singaporean hawker fare by DABAO, and now Singapore is on my culinary adventure bucket list!

My wife is from Singapore and I’ve been there a bunch of times. This was our first time with Dabao Singapore. Our niece got us a package with Laksa, prawn noodle and chee kueh. Not sure how to describe chee kueh other than a steamed rice powder cake with preserved cabbage and hot sauce. We have it in Sing for breakfast, so we saved it and had it this morning. It was quite good, though it could have used a little more cabbage.My wife had the prawn noodle (ha mee). She said the soup stock was very good, but she was a little disappointed in the noodles. Perhaps the time between initial preparation and delivery affected them. But overall, she liked the dish.I had the Laksa and it was quite good and quite true to those prepared in Singapore (as opposed to many others which are more like curry noodles). While I’ve had better in Singapore, I haven’t had many there that are better. Two come to mind there out of the dozens of different hawkers we’ve had.No dry mouth overnight which tells me no MSG was used in either dish, which is a huge plus.Prices are a little steep, but sine the price includes delivery, it’s not outlandishly high compared to other restaurants serving Sing or Malaysian food.Easily the best Singaporean restaurant in the Bay Area.

So nice that this place provides opportunities for non-SF folks to partake in delicious Singaporean food. My friends and I had the ayam penyet, laksa, chee kweh, and pandan rice krispies. All enjoyable and took us back to the years we lived that Singaporean expat life. Looking forward to the other dishes they introduce - is this a good time to request butter crab??

Really under seasoned food, and soups lack texture characteristic of laksa. Its like the chef is trying to recreate a dish, but didnt know how to actually cook it, and hadnt eaten it before. This is from s person whos had the genuine thing before. Alternatively, you might see it as watered down to Western levels of flavor. Super disappointing experience after all the hype.

This place was good, a little pricey though. The taste of the crab was similar to what I had in Singapore, but slightly lacking in seasoning. It might just be preference though.
