My husband and I tried this for the first time today. From the moment we walked in, customer service was amazing and very welcoming. The staff made suggestions that really helped us try some new dishes and it was all wonderful ! We got the Kadai with chicken, Korma with chicken, lamb biryani, garlic naan, and veg somosas (forgot to take pics of that one). $60 for all that food is not bad in my opinion! We can’t wait to come back and try more.

Amazing. My girlfriend and I heard this place opened recently and we were super excited to try it. So we gave it a try this past week and it did not disappoint. We ordered the veg samosas, garlic naan, chicken biryani, and butter chicken. Each of these dishes had so much flavor but the biryani was by far my favorite. The portions were pretty big so we actually had to take some home (It was twice as good the next day).To drink I got the Karak Chai and my girlfriend got the Mango Lassi. Both incredible drinks.I also recommended Daddyji’s to my parents so they went recently and had great things to say as well.Will definitely be coming back!

Finally found an authentic Indian restaurant in the Claremont area! We went on a Friday so there were a lot of people there for dinner. I ordered the tandoori chicken, it came on a cast iron. My family also ordered the garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, and palak paneer. Our food took around 30 minutes to arrive, which was reasonable considering how many people there were. The tandoori chicken was very juicy and delicious, and made me wish I ordered the large portion instead! The other dishes were very delicious, especially when paired with the garlic naan. However, the main dishes do not come with rice, it has to be prefer separately. Overall a good experience, and I hope to return there soon!

My wife and I decided to give this new Indian restaurant a try during their soft opening in Claremont. As Indians with a penchant for authentic flavors, we had high hopes for our dining experience.The chai was delightful, and the chicken tikka was decent, but unfortunately, the pakoras and navratan korma fell short of our expectations. The pakoras were slightly undercooked inside, and the navratan korma lacked the depth of flavor we were looking for in a traditional Indian dish.While the customer service was commendable, the food itself needs some reevaluation to truly capture the essence of authentic Indian cuisine. Understandably, this was only their soft opening, and I am hopeful that they will refine their recipes and cooking techniques to better represent the flavors we know and love.I encourage the restaurant to take customer feedback into account and strive to deliver a more authentic and satisfying dining experience. With some adjustments and improvements, I believe this restaurant has the potential to become a go-to spot for Indian food enthusiasts in the area.Overall, a promising start, but there is definitely room for growth and enhancement. I look forward to revisiting in the future to see how they have evolved

Deciding on where to go for Mother’s Day lunch, we encounter this hidden-gem. We took a walk around the village, and decided that we were looking for something differentand new. As we walked in Rosa our server greeted us with so much excitement. As we sat down we were recommended to try the tandoori chicken, which was delicious! (A bit messy but delicious) then we ordered the chicken tikka masala with some white basmati rice and some garlic naan; along a spring dosa. Which In the end turned out to be a lot of food, but everything was great! The flavor, presentation and big portions so beware.Once we payed I decided to take a mango lassi to go.

Good food - great service - excellent atmosphereWe were in town from Maryland and wanted some take out for the Friday night concert. Our hostess/waitress was amazing - giving us water and a place to sit while we waited for our food. We loved our tandoor chicken and butter chicken; they were well seasoned and cooked right. The rice was perfect, and though the mixed veggies are spicy (which we didnt know), they still had good flavor.When we left the concert and walked past the restaurant, the same employee came out and asked about our food. It showed they care about your experience. While we waited for the food, you saw a friendly, hard-working staff.My only complaint is that they arent franchised in Maryland.

Ordered takeout from here. Some items were good, some were just ok.We ordered the following:1. Tikku chat - yummy2. Dal tadka - do not recommend3. Dal Makhani - highly recommend it4. Masala dosa - decent5. Ghee masala dosa - yummyOverall a decent option. They need to be more consistent with the items.

By far the absolute worst Indian foodI have ever had. This food is shockingly bad! Very little flavor, EXTREMELY greasy, and overall a horrible disappointment. The food is also really overpriced.The amount of fat and grease is just shocking. The photo I posted shows how much grease came from a tiny amount of Aloo Ghobi. The naan was undercooked, lacking in flavor, and either greasy/soaked in fat or completely dry. This food really is inedible.UPDATE- the restaurant called and refunded the cost of our meal, so I added another star for customer service. I really cannot recommend this place due to the terrible food, but I do respect that they took this seriously and offered a refund (which we were not requesting).

This is the ultimate restaurant to be opened in Claremont recently. It offers the most delicious unusual Indian food with large portions at a most reasonable price and excellent service and ambience. My partner and I absolutely loved coming here! One of the best Indian restaurants we have had in the LA area. The portions are great for the price, which we greatly appreciate as college students. The family style dining (where dishes are sharable) was nice.

The service was amazing, we came in on a busy day. And the server was able to squeeze us in (we didn’t have a reservation) we got lucky as it got busy-er and people were waiting out the door. There’s a reason why this place was busy, the food was delicious. I ordered the butter chicken and it was by far one of the best I have even eaten. I also ordered a mango drink, it was super creamy. One glass wasn’t enough. We will be coming back. Definitely became one of our to go to places. I told my husband that I want DaddyJi for dinner tonight.

We went for dinner on a Friday night and it was a great experience! The food is delicious and tastes authentic. They have a variety on their menu from Punjabi cuisine, Indian street foods, and South Indian items as well. Everything was yummy! They were super busy (because its fabulous!) but they got everyone seated within 30 minutes or less. The decor is super cute and their bathrooms are very very clean! We loved their service as well. Their staff is diverse as well! Both Indian & Latino mixed. And their clientele was also very diverse. We saw different cultural backgrounds, age groups, families, as well as those out for a date night or dinner with friends. Music was really great as well! We had a perfect night!You can smell their tandoor walking up & just by the scent of their seasonings (masalas) you can tell their restaurant is fantastic!

I was so excited to try this new restaurant and it did not disappoint!! The interior is so nice inside and the food is amazing and flavorful ~ There was a huge line outside and it did take a bit for the food to arrive, but the lady mentioned they were short on staff. So just keep that in mind and be patient:) The service is great and the lady in the front was extremely kind and helpful. This place is definitely worth trying and I will be back!!

I am really glad we were part of the soft open. The business owners were very kind, following up with us throughout our meal. The atmosphere was great, with my daughter insisting, This is a fancy restaurant.But most importantly, the food was terrific. As an annoying vegan guy, Ive eaten Indian food at just about every spot in a 50-mile radius, and this was the best.

I’m so glad Claremont finally has an Indian food restaurant. I’ve ordered takeout from here twice now. The food is great, my only note is that both times I’ve ordered the aloo gobi matar and both times there were no peas. It was still good but strange that the menu said there would be peas and there were no peas. They have great naan bread too.Update: I went back yesterday and peas have been added to the aloo gobi matar and it was even more delicious!

First of all, it’s a beautiful space and the staff were amazing, our waiter was so sweet and helpful. Despite only having about 1% of their menu available, the food was good except for the goat biryani….lots of bones and connective tissue and overall pretty dry and bland. The butter chicken, paneer tika and garlic naan was great!Wish they had beer though….It has huge potential once they get up and running! Lots of people coming in and Claremont needed a good Indian restaurant! We’ll be back once they have their full menu!

They are still in their soft opening so the menu is limited and the speed of service is not amazing, but I can happily give a pass on all that in their soft stage.Their food is incredible and the prices were very reasonable. We tried their Chicken Korma, Goat Briyani, Paneer Tikka, and garlic Naan. Everything was excellent, but I need to say the Goat Briyani was a standout, nicely spicy and the Goat was incredibly tender and flavorful (not at all gamey). The total came to under $50 before tip, which is incredible given how much food we got.Cant recommend this restaurant enough, a wonderful addition to the village!

First, 5:15pm was the earliest reservation I could make since the kitchen is closed between lunch and dinner. You will want to make reservations- the restaurant was very popular this evening.My family and I ordered from a condensed menu because the restaurant was not yet offering all of their items. We ordered plain naan, garlic naan, vegetable samosas, coconut curry with veggies, traditional curry with chicken, butter curry with chicken, tandoori chicken, and a large rice. The food was delicious! My four year old kid delightfully ate her helping of naan, rice, and coconut curry. We’re glad that there is a good Indian restaurant in town and are planning to be frequent customers.

Daddyji is delicious! Expect to possibly wait for a table in the evening, but the food is well worth it. We waited about 30 minutes for Friday dinner at 7 pm. We got chai, fried paneer, chicken tikka masala, and paneer korma. Everything was on point and speedy, and well priced for the LA greater metro. Definitely one of the best restaurants in the Claremont village!

My friends and I had a worst experience with this restaurant. We were planning to have a 30 people event here. Based on our experience we will go somewhere else. What an impeccable experience, I could not recommend this place enough. Their vegetarian options are superb. The yellow curry was light, tasty, and addictive. Come with a hot date or the whole family. I suggest calling to reserve a table, it can get quite packed during the weekends.
