2024-06-21 21:48:42Went on Saturday night and waited about 20min. Didnt get to try the galbi jjim, which is a shame since they dont have single-serving options. The jabchae was a good appetizer, although not quite traditional. The bibimbap was tasty, but the spicy short rib soup was a bit sour.

2024-05-11 13:47:47Authentic Korean cuisine but not impressive to be honest. Foods were good except for the kimchi not many choices as other Korean restaurants, and tasted not good. Quick service but maybe too quick, felt like they pushed you to leave after you done your meals. Prepared to long queue because they don’t accept the reservation. We never come back again because of really long wait and unfriendly service.

2024-05-14 17:59:09We got the braised beef, with half cheese. They put cheese on half the dish for us. Which was nice because one of our party cant have dairy. It came with accompanying fermented vegetables and purple rice. The food was very good with a large portion. There was 2 of us, we didnt get close to finishing it. The atmosphere was nice, but it felt like they had one song on repeat with heavy base for the whole visit

2024-06-30 00:33:24Incredible flavors with a touch of show. Ended up getting a mild and medium braised beef bowels and loved them both.Expect to order food even before you sit. Some items take almost a hour to cook so they help with expediting your experience and not have you sitting forever. Two bowls ended up being enough for 7 of us. And don’t forget to add some toppings as well (cheese is highly recommended)!

2024-03-23 22:01:18The portion is getting smaller and price is getting higher. However, still 5 star for the taste and presentation! Not sure how can it be anything lower than 5 stars. The cheese on the top is well presented and looks fancy but recommend no cheese since it makes the whole thing too oily to our liking.Beer is good and vibe is fantastic~Be there early since there’s 1-2 hour waiting time during rush hours.Btw, if you are vegetarian or vegan, don’t even bother coming here - not worth your time.

2024-03-31 06:04:32Having tried daeho around the country. The consistency is what really shines. I have yet to go to one that significantly differs from another in terms for food quality. I love the spice, sweet, savoriness of their famous beef rib casserole. If you havent tried, your missing out!

2024-03-26 12:04:18I get the hype - food is delicious. We had a galbi bibimbap and the braised beef rib / oxtail kalbijjim. So flavorful and meat very tender. We were 4 people and probably would have been full with just the large kalbijjim, as we had trouble finishing everything. Servers were really friendly and kept the banchan plentiful. Also, the kimchi was one of the better kimchi’s I’ve had. Great meal, I will be back!

2024-03-02 20:18:15As a Korean-American visitor from Seattle, I had to try Daeho since it’s a very hyped up kalbijjim restaurant. Seattle just opened up their first Daeho location couple weeks ago so I wanted to try and compare it the OG spot (have yet to try Seattle). The kalbi in SF set the bar very hig. I would come again and recommend this place to everyone who wants to try Korean food.FoodI ordered the Daeho kalbitang with extra meat and all I can say is that the kalbi (beef) was sooo good. The meat was super tender and just melted in my mouth. The soup being infused with the beef just made everything even better. I would actually recommend not getting the Daeho kalbitang and just get the regular kalbitang since the seafood was not very good. Just come for the beef. There was so much meat and I could not believe how much beef they gave for the extra meat. Very worth the $4 for almost double the meat.I can’t wait to try Daeho again in Seattle and go with friends so I can order the Daeho kalbijjim since the portions are big enough for a couple people.AtmosphereThe inside of the restaurant is bustling and very busy. The noise level was loud with all the people in there and the sort of narrow space. Casual atmosphere and wear. It’s a great place to come for good food with friends casually. You can see people get their food torched tableside and that’s always fun.PricingPricing is a little bit more expensive than what I’m used to paying for kalbi but it is money well spent. The quality of the beef was one of the best I’ve ever had.ServiceService was faster than I expected for how busy the restaurant was on a Thursday night. You order food at the front counter where you check in. The food is brought to your table. This helps to streamline process and let your food come out faster. Not much interaction with the staff though.OtherHIGHLY recommend making a reservation online in advance (Yelp). I went on a Thursday night at 7pm and they were saying walk in wait times were 2 hours wow. Be prepared to wait since there are so many people regardless of reservation status. Only street parking around the area.

2024-01-23 06:27:47Delicious Korean food to share. Need to book in advance. You order at the door and get seated when the food is ready - the timing was perfect and the food was great. Very large portions. Staff was helpful and dietary restrictions were very easy to manage

2024-04-26 06:48:58We actually wanted to eat korean bbq with a grill and then came across a different kind of korean bbq - luckily for us. the food was bombastic. five of us went to eat and ordered a big pot for everyone. all the ingredients (meat, vegetables, cheese and spices) were so extremely delicious. definitely worth a visit if you make a trip to japantown.
