2023-09-15 00:40:04Would recommend all their drinks!!However, their beef noodle soup was very greasy and not full of flavor. Their popcorn chicken can be cooked more.Their veggies buns are very soft and delicious.

2022-12-21 22:01:20The food and boba here are both incredible. Dah Bao is a small family owned business. All the employees were friendly, kind, and helpful. The noodle soup is super tasty, the broth is so full of flavor and the noodles have a great texture. We tried all the bao they were all so soft and fluffy with super flavorful filling. I got a mango matcha smoothie, a flavor I have never seen before, and it was super good! I would highly recommend Dah Bao for an amazing meal and fantastic boba!

2023-10-23 06:45:12The best boba place in Davis. The boba is always cooked just right and the teas are always the best. Besides boba their food is also bomb. I especially love their eggs and tomato which comes with an marinated egg. The buns are also juicy and delicious. I’ve also notice that they improve their dishes over time so that each time I order it I notice that it taste significantly better ( which I didn’t know was possible because it’s already so good) Highly highly recommended.

2023-07-06 21:38:27Really nice food. Enjoyed the Beef Soup (great flavor) and the Buns were nice (regular Pork was my favorite). My daughter really liked her Boba. Look forward to coming back. More of a quick bite spot than a restaurant, but clean and cheerful.

2023-06-13 02:38:57Nestled in the heart of Davis, California, Dah Bao is a hidden gem that promises an extraordinary dining experience. From the moment you step foot inside, youre greeted with a warm ambiance and a delightful aroma that piques your senses. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dah Bao, and I must say, it left an indelible mark on my taste buds. One of the standout dishes at Dah Bao is their phenomenal beef noodle soup. As a lover of hearty soups, I was blown away by the rich and savory broth that formed the foundation of this dish. The beef was tender and succulent, simmered to perfection, and exuded a deep flavor that instantly won me over. The noodles were perfectly cooked, offering a satisfying chewiness that complemented the broth beautifully. Each spoonful was a culinary delight, and I found myself savoring every bite.Another must-try dish at Dah Bao is their lotus root balls. These bite-sized wonders are a true testament to the skill and creativity of the chefs. The lotus root balls were crispy on the outside, revealing a delicate and flavorful filling within. The combination of textures and flavors was simply divine. Each bite provided a delightful contrast between the crispy exterior and the soft, melt-in-your-mouth interior. It was a unique and delightful experience that left me craving for more.No visit to Dah Bao would be complete without sampling their assorted buns. These little parcels of goodness were a sight to behold. From fluffy steamed buns to golden-brown baked buns, the assortment was impressive. Each bun was filled with a delicious and carefully crafted filling, ranging from succulent barbecued pork to savory vegetable mixtures. The buns were bursting with flavors and had the perfect balance of sweetness and savoriness. It was a delightful journey for the palate, and I couldnt resist trying every single variety.Beyond the extraordinary dishes, Dah Bao also prides itself on its excellent service. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and passionate about their craft. They were more than willing to provide recommendations and answer any questions, ensuring that every diner had a memorable experience. In conclusion, Dah Bao is a restaurant that truly shines in Davis, CA. With their phenomenal beef noodle soup, delicious lotus root balls, and delightful assortment of buns, this establishment offers a culinary adventure that shouldnt be missed. From the moment you walk through the doors until the last bite, Dah Bao will captivate you with its exceptional flavors, cozy ambiance, and attentive service. Whether youre a local resident or just passing through, make sure to indulge in the flavors of Dah Bao – you wont be disappointed.

2022-11-14 05:03:24The pork bun was very good, much more meat than I usually find in other restaurants. But note that they don’t always have them available. The pork belly rice bowl was disappointing. Just rice, pork belly, a boiled egg, and steamed bok choy. They need some color in there, some spinach and carrot for example. And the pork belly could have been cooked more. The menu is very limited, although they have a lot of options for drinks.

2023-04-01 04:40:55Strawberry matcha boba was good if not a little too sweet even with 50% sugar. However, the TV playing Jackie Chan Adventures was most definitely the selling point. Many people were there just to watch Jackie Chan Adventures. If youre a fan of 2000s cartoons I woukd highly recommend Dah Bao

2023-03-09 06:13:52I’d highly recommend Dah Bao’s pork buns to anyone who wants to enjoy AUTHENTIC Northern Chinese buns. The cashier told me the owner and the chef were from Southwestern China but these buns taste exactly like the ones I used to order in Beijing!I initially thought this was a Vietnamese eatery, because of “Dah” in Dah Bao. It turns out that this is MY people’s restaurant lol. Dah Bao actually means “to pack up leftover foods after you dine in a restaurant and bring these leftovers home.” Dah Bao could also mean “to order takeout foods,” in a broader sense. It’s definitely a Chinese word.I’m very happy to discover Dah Bao, a hidden gem in Davis. It’s nearly impossible to find a Chinese restaurant that offers Northern Chinese style cuisine in California and this is the one. You will NOT be disappointed!

2023-04-21 01:33:54My daughter and I are big fans of this new restaurant. Everyone is very friendly and it’s a bright and cheerful space. The boba is great and we love the different fruit flavors. Also the honey glazed eggplant dish is amazing and we order it every time. She will not let me share hers so we order two!
