2023-03-12 22:18:27Pretty fun place right off the water. Staff definitely knows how to make it an eventful and memorable experience. All the food is super flavorful and has a large variety of drinks.

2018-01-03 07:45:17Have visted here the last 4 years. The food is always good. However, its not the cleanest place. The servers are over worked because management is obviously trying to save money. The sushi chef is mean to the staff but is talented when it comes to preparing food. Still not a fan of bullying the staff. They give out free shots around tip time. Music is horrendous, with proper management it could be a stand out in the over saturated sushi restaurant business in this area. Also for the 1st time I ended there on Endless all you can eat sushi night Dont waste your time, the chef will make you sit there all night in between modest orders. My guess is so you will order more drinks.

2022-06-04 17:46:04What a hidden gem. Although we were waiting in bar area for our table we had reservations for, it was well worth the wait. very entertaining. extremely LOUD inside. drinks were strong and food was great. chef was very generous with birthday shots. our server was on point. it was about 300 bucks for 6 of us.

2016-11-13 00:09:30We were here from 7:45 pm until 11:30pm. Poor management! After waiting a 1 hour and 10 minutes I was wondering if we were going to eat. Plus, we had reservations at 8:30 pm. Save your time and money and dont go here. The food was good and Chef was fun. However, Customer Service is not an important principal here. People dont want to hear what you cant or wont do for them. Dont offer a free shot when I cant even get a soda due to lack of service, plus I wasnt drinking alcohol. It took almost 2.5 hours to get a table. I dont want to watch immature people argue or have drama and thats what we got sat across. They refilled my drink and handed it to someone else. Gross! Infectious diseases are something you can get from poor handling of items.Dont eat here!

2019-09-19 04:00:41We pretty much come every week. The sushi chef and owner, Richard, takes great care of you and will figure out what you like, making sure to serve it with premium quality fish and delicious sauces. The music is fun and the atmosphere is welcoming and cozy, definitely encouraging you to talk and laugh with friends and family while you try delicious rolls and high quality fish.

2020-10-26 03:04:05We have been coming to this place for awhile and we liked it, even if there were a few funny things. Now however, they have changed happy hour and raised their prices. The fried rice used to come with dinner but now it costs an additional $3.50. They give you pasta with grated parmesean cheese thats not even Japanese. Our cook decided to give us a lecture on politics after our meal when it was supposed to be a romantic date. The other food they give you is ok but I would look for another teppanyaki place for that special night with your loved one.

2023-04-03 20:03:52Weve been going to Daimon’s in Huntington Beach for YEARS. Been through several owners. Tonight will be the last visit. We made reservations for 6 in the Teppan room. Last minute addition to our party brought a severe scolding from the hostess. We told her we understood that an additional chair would crowd us and that we were willing to wait. She was just rude. We were seated by the owner - again with an attitude. Our drink order was incorrect - I had to go to the bar to get a forgotten water for my grandson - THE BIRTHDAY BOY AND REASON WE WERE THERE. We ordered and included 2 orders of sushi WHICH NEVER ARRIVED. The chef did NOT PUT ON A SHOW - with the exception of the onion volcano which as soon as it was lit, he poured oil all over the grill which destroyed the momentary volcano! He rushed through the service. No flair, no tossing of the food into mouths, no personality at all. At the end (after the bill arrived) one of the servers, who we have known for years, came and brought a slice of cake and sang Happy Birthday. Only after this did the sushi come out! We declined it as we were leaving and requested it be taken off the bill. The response was that it was because the restaurant was busy. Not true - We were there for an hour and a half and the front house (sushi area) only had 2 tables of customers. Sh!tty service and management need to be called out.Next day: Several in our party have been experiencing intestinal distress today. We did notice the debris built up but trusted the heat of the grill to kill off any pathogens. Don’t let our mistake endanger you!

2022-10-30 01:13:11We have been coming to this restaurant for more than 30 years now. That factors into why I gave 3 stars instead of 2. Both of our last 2 visits have both been a disappointment. The service is friendly enough and pretty efficient. However, the food was not up to par and very disappointing. The steak was overcooked (requested med rare) and chewy, the fried rice was bland and veggies kinda mushy. The overall feel of the restaurant is dirty and dingy. The only exception was the spotless bathroom.
