Very good galbi tang. Though my spouse’s lunch (octopus & rice) was not great… was chewy. Also for lunch, it took awhile for food to come out. Otherwise, service was great!

A busy place which is always a good sign. We came in hungry and we liked everything we ordered. This time I didnt have time to take pictures and immersed myself in the food experience. A bit on the pricey side but the service and the food was excellent. The location is good, plenty of parking. The gym upstairs takes away from the atmosphere by occasional loud sounds (dropped weights?).

Great service from waiter/waitress making us feel very welcomed. Well cooked authentic food using great ingredients. Seafood jeon is a surprise, well fried, containing lots of seafood, with well balanced sauce. Will come back.

Wow. My friend and I came in craving Korean food and went in with no expectations because it was our first time in the area. Straight to the point. Their food is authentic as it gets. The side dishes sealed the deal for every one of them is quality. The main dishes are fresh. Seafood pancake is literally a 17 inch domino pizza.Friend had the cold noodles, helped with hang over.Most memorable is the service...they are. Really attentive, and come back many times to check-in on water and extra side dishes! We will definitely come again and you should check it out!!

Had the hot stope bulgogi bibimbap for lunch. Amazing taste and presentation. The bibimbap was sizzling the whole time and was delicious. Good service with the banchan and hot tea. Reasonable price for quality. Will be back soon, hoping to try other dishes. Glad Danville has a Korean restaurant!

We enjoyed lunch here, having bento box, beef soup, and noodle soup. It was delightful and very yummy. The waitstaff were extremely friendly, especially with the kids, making it the best Korean restaurant in the area.

Great bibimbap and japchae. We ordered the vegetarian options and it was delicious. The server was also thorough with checking our dietary restrictions when we said we were vegetarian, which we really appreciated! :)

Great place. Only issue (Im not taking a star away because of it) is the gym next door and above it. It does make the dining atmosphere more...interesting with the pounding heard from people dropping weights.Overall the food is great. It helps looking at photos provided in the menu, especially if youre unfamiliar with Korean cuisine. The side dishes were great along with the appetizers and Bibimbap. Been here twice. Most likely will be back again. Plenty of parking.

Edit: They added a tip when we specifically tipped 0 due to terrible service. We just checked our statement and had a $10 tip added.Awful waitress. Yelled at our table when we were trying to order because she was in a rush and didn’t want to answer any menu questions (kept asking if we wanted more time even though we were trying to ask actual question). We were a 4 top (two couples). The other couple ordered two dishes, and we ordered one with the intention of ordering another halfway through our first since we weren’t sure if we’d want the same dish or a different one. She didn’t hear the other couple’s second dish, so she was yelling at us that we only ordered two dishes and that wasn’t enough. Halfway through our meal, she realized she forgot our drinks and sheepishly brought them out. We sat around with no food at the end of our meal and waited half an hour for the check. The food was great, but any restaurant that allows a server to be that rude isn’t worth going to. As a prior server, I 100% understand forgetting things, putting in the wrong order, running behind to get to your tables, etc. I have never been rude to customers simply because I’m frantic. We weren’t wasting her time or sitting there silently thinking. No reason for her behavior.

Was looking for a quick bite to eat and found this place after some googling. The restaurant and nice and warm/cozy but fair warning; the gym is next door so there is some thumping while you are eating. It caught me off guard but didnt bother me though. I ordered the seafood pajeon and bulgogi dosirak. I loved the banchan that came with it and even the tea that was served. The pajeon was bigger than I expected and I like that it came with a dipping sauce. I finished almost everything in the dosirak and the bulgogi was flavored nicely, not overly sweet. Good stuff!I also wanna mention the excellent customer service. I noticed the server offering tea to customers waiting for takeout and she even packed an extra side of small banchan that I told her I enjoyed. It meant alot! Thank you DAON :)

This is by far one of the best Korean restaurant Ive tried in this area. Everything was so tasty. Service was excellent. The waiter must have stopped by 4-5 times throughout our meal. The restaurant is not big and they practice social distancing so be prepared to wait.Update: Had dinner with my family and all the dishes were excellent. We had chicken wings, seafood pancake (full of seafood), spicy chicken BBQ, kimchee tofu soup, and Korean ramen. All the dishes went well together. The only problem was I ordered too much...again.

I have been to this restaurant at least a dozen times so obviously I like this place. The first time I had their chicken bbq. That flavor reminded me of food I had in Seoul 20 years ago. In subsequent visits had galbi, soondubu and bibimbop. All good and to do die for but soondubu when it’s cold outside and bibimbop when it’s hot outside just hits the spot. Don’t forget to eat the fish cake appetizer that they give for free. Would absolutely recommend this place any day.

Delicious! Being Korean I can say it’s pretty authentic. Everything was great, bulgogi tasted charcoal grilled with a smoky flavor, dukbuki was soft and tasty sauce with a little kick (chose less spicy for the kids), and the Japchae was deliciously prepared with noodles cooked to perfection.Kids & I loved it and It will definitely be my to go in a pinch place to pick up dinner.

Server accidentally submitted our order late and complimented us with some mandu on the house. After getting our food quickly, we realized that this place is truly a hidden gem with the kindness of the server and the superiority of the flavors in their food. Was much worth the amount that we payed for too (Korean Places are usually extremely expensive).TLDR: This place is great. See if you can eat it as munchies :)

I love the food at DAON. They are pretty bold with the seasoning so the food dont taste bland. Korean fried chicken, spicy bedf soup and spicy pork bulgogi are my favorite dishes. They are a bit more expensive, but the quality and taste make up for it.

Best of best Korean restaurant!My child went there with his school friends and praised how delicious it was.Im going to go there with my family.I think this is a restaurant where they put a lot of effort into it even before going there.The dignity of the owner permeates the food.Its better than any other restaurants food in Korea.wow! The marinated whole chicken is more delicious than the Korean chain chicken.My favorite food, dolsot bibimbap, is also delicious. Even in Korea, it is difficult to find such delicious dolsot bibimbap. My wife agrees. They say it’s second only to the stone pot bibimbap at the now-defunct Shin Korean Pavilion in Guui-dong. Now that I think about it, all of my favorite stone pot bibimbap restaurants have disappeared. The Seoul Ttukbaegi in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, which I stopped by during my trip, has disappeared.My son says the kalguksu is really delicious. ^ ^I hope the restaurant does well and preserves the original form of Korean food.Best Korean Restaurant in SF Bay Area! I am pretty sure.Authentic Korean cuisine.We ate Yangnyeom Tongdak (fried and seasoned chicken), dolsot bibimbap and Kalguksoo. Perfect!
