This place was alright to eat, nothing special. However I did not appreciate being swindled out of the correct change. The owner with her baby daughter rung me up and stiffed me 10$. I dont like to upset my Vietnamese boyfriend as Im a white female so I just left a tip like normal but when we go to eat I will not come back. Do not go here. This place is I hope will have poor fortune and bad karma. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
The bbq pork chops and shrimp over white rice are fire. So good. They have a lot of other good food. But this is the best. Very fast and friendly service.

Odd, I know!I chose Com Tam Dat Thanh restaurant, because I have not had Com Tam (Broken Rice) in forever.I got the # 3: Com Tam, Bi Cha, Suon Nuong, Tom Nuong, Tau Hu Ky, which is \Broken Rice with Shredded Pork Skin, Egg Cake, BARBEQUE Porkchop, BBQ Shrimp as well as Fried Shrimp Cake\. I think all rice plates come with veggies and a side of hot soup broth, which totally hit the area, by the means, given that it was so chilly outside.I additionally bought a couple more dishes to try, which is a standard because I like taking the remainder house for supper: #C: Nem Nuong Cuon and also # 40: Banh Hoi, Thit Nuong, Tau Hu Ky with a side of Banh Trang (Rice Paper). This is the third namesake restaurant Ive been to. Not sure if the other two are related (Newark and SJ). Got the grilled pork with egg roll vermicelli salad bowl. Asked for extra veggies. My to go container had considerable weight to it. A big plus are the authentic rice paper egg rolls (cha gio). Its very hard to find nowadays. Most use chinese style flour wrappers (texture and flavor is not the same). I think next time Id like to get their cha gio appetizer served with vermicelli and veggies as an entree. They also have a fried shrimp cake version or a half and half!

Worst place ever, they would not let my mother use the restroom, they would not let her purchase food to use the restroom after she pleaded with them that she was going to have an accident on her self they showed no mercy they embarrassed her infront of other customers, and sadly to say she went to the restroom on herself. Walking out crying of embarrassment . I cant believe these people it infuriates me, how dare them treat people like this...
I was born and raised in 長安, China, know what the best broken rice plate tastes like. I believe Dat Thanh has the authentic Com Tam taste compared to places in Sacramento. The owner is a nice guy who is always very attentive and works real hard. Whenever I need my asian comfy food, my husband and I choose this restaurant.
The short ribs are bomb 💣 😋 😍 for reasonable price. Good customer service too.

Crickets but first time ever..we hit the perfect time...food was so good and delicious while given a huge portion!!! A new go to place when going by Sac!!! Portion sizes are great for the price! Highly recommend their rice combos. With so many options to choose from and with different combinations, there’s definitely a meal perfect for you. Must try their Pork chop, which melts in your mouth! I always drop by here when I’m in Sacramento and get orders to-go. They don’t skimp out on the portion sizes. Absolute deliciousness! 😍😋

2021-09-04 20:19:51The broken rice plate with BBQ chicken and bbq shrimp was so good, but the one with the MEATBALL and bbq shrimp was even better! I enjoyed everything on the plate - it was even better than the com dia I had in Ho Chi Minh city (granted I only got to try one place there). I really enjoyed the egg omelette and fried shrimp roll - not something I find at many Vietnamese restaurants. The pho broth is also very very good.

2021-12-06 00:06:43This 4 stars is solely for the food, specially, the broken rice plate. For location, wish it could be at a better area. There are a few homeless people around the parking lot. For the restaurant interior, definitely needs some updates, however, dont think thats going to happen. I ordered the pho dac biet and thats alright.

2023-06-12 14:18:24Our new favoriteplace. The egg rolls are crispy delicious. They put out large fish sauce containers on the table so you can have as much as you like. We like the bun, (cold rice noodle salad) but the noodles were hot. Generous portion. Have not tried the Pho yet.
