DEED’S BAR AND GRILLSeveral times a year our couples golf group drive up from Arroyo Grande to play golf and have lunch. Last week we invited a new couple to our group and raved about the golf course and the great restaurant.After playing golf, we entered the restaurant and asked for a table of 8 (4 couples). I asked the Manager if separate checks would be an option. To my embarrassment, the Manager immediately said “no, for a table of 8 we only accept three credit cards or cash with one bill.” We then asked the waitress and she looked rather shyly and said, “I’ll have to ask the Manager.” In the past, this was not an issue and we always had competent, willing staff who would give each couple a bill and we would always, in turn, give a hefty tip. By the way, it’s not like the restaurant was super busy; otherwise, that could have/would have been an excuse. I am not sure why 3 credit cards with one bill as opposed to 4 credits cards with 4 bills would have been such an inconvenience—you have a capable staff. In fact, it took us quite a while to figure out the bill what with some having drinks and some not having drinks—you know how that goes!) In the end, we all just put in the same amount (using cash only!). No one in the group was happy about this new arrangement. Sadly, next time, we may consider going into town for our luncheon and by-pass Deeds altogether.

My aunt and I took our friend there for a special occasion. Salmon salad was completely bland and the lettuce was cut entirely too large with hardly any dressing and only one or 2 pecans in the salad. My aunts Chinese chicken salad was ok but it was without much taste due to a lack of dressing. The French fries were good but gave us both heartburn. The fish and chips were horrible. The worst Ive ever had ( sent my salmon salad back and requested fish and chips) and I was supposed to have sweet potatoes fries but they sent regular ones.The bread pudding dessert was yuck. It looked like someone hit a few golf balls through it, seriously it looked a complete mess !. Also not tasty at all. A complete waste of the 110$ we spent.

When my wife and I first visited Deeds it was wonderful. We sat at the bar and our bartender Amy was a delight. We had the Ahi Tuna Tataki ($16) and it was delicious. A very tasty wasabi aioli, seared tuna and vegetables. Our second order was the Nachos ($15) and we thoroughly enjoyed it. A little different take on your traditional nachos. Our second visit, however, was disappointing. We first ordered the Tropical Shrimp Ceviche ($17) and it was terrible. I didnt see any shrimp. What was on the plate looked like pink dog food. It should have been called Onion Ceviche with very few small chips. Steer clear of that appetizer. After that we had the Ahi Tuna + Avocado Salad ($18). It was, well, ok with not much flavor. Lets call it acceptable for a salad. It could have used a more flavorful wasabi dressing. I was hoping for a better meal for my wifes birthday.

Our favorite go to as locals in Paso Robles! 5 stars for Food, Drinks, Atmosphere, Service and Views!! I love meeting my husband at the 19th hole! ❤️😉

Great place to meet up with friends or family for a few drinks and some great food. Have to say our waitress Vanessa was an absolute joy, they need 10 more just like her.

Love the atmosphere, service and the view! We come in often and enjoy the prime rib, salads and cocktails!

Good food, nice atmosphere and great views the golf course ⛳.Had the breakfast burrito. American style w chorizo add gravy.

I have eaten here a few times and it is good food and atmosphere until Father’s Day. Horribly treated and left! Went to Hunter Ranch and had a wonderful time.

Local restaurant and bar next to Paso gold course. Sat at the bar to order a beer and to go dinner. Great service. Friendly atmosphere. Local beta and wines. Food was good, but smaller portions for the price. Ordered fish and chips. 3 small pieces of fish. Fries were solid!
