My favorite poke place in SCV! It’s awesome to see them improve through time, I used to go here a few years ago, but I recently started going often again. I like that it’s one size and it’s a big portion. The egg salad is the best!

I got a regular poke bowl with 6 scoops of salmon, crab meat, ponzu sauce, avocado, onion, kimchy, sriracha, and spicy mayo. A perfect mix of flavors. I finished the whole bowl and felt full yet I didnt feel stuffed like a Turkey. I love that the meat and ingredients always taste fresh here and they have excellent service and affordable prices.Food:100Service:100Price:$$

Its my favorite poke spot in all SCV. They have many sauces and topping options. The protein choices are always fresh, and taste is the best compared to other poke places Ive had. They will offer miso or sea weed with your bowl. I think once they had salmon skin too. They just added ginger rice which was very yummy. I usually get spicy tuna and deep sea because of the spice. I love it!! The pickled onions are so perfectly marinated! I have yet to find another spot that compares to this place. My kids always pick this place for their birthday meal or if they get to pick dinner for a special day.

The food to value here is the best I have ever seen. Both in taste and volume nothing can compare and I have eaten poke in several countries and states throughout the US. I am glad my hometown has one my favorite Poke place. The only complaint is lately the resteraunt smells a bit fishy. I hope the owner will take note and look into it.

I used to like eating here but the last 2 times I got sick. I think the quality may have gone down. The first time was a couple of weeks ago the fish smelled a little off but I figured it was ok big mistake. I figured it was a fluke but when I tried them again today it smelled fine but I got sick again. I hope they get better the customer service is good and the food usually is but not lately (for the food customer service was still stellar).

One of the better poke places in Valencia. Lots of protein choices and the sauces that go on them are pretty plenty to choose from as well. They keep changing their bowl sizes though and hard to figure out if your getting good pricing in relation to their portions.

When I first went they had big bowls when you bought food from there then they changed to small bowls, a few months after not going I decided to go again and then they switched to a big box which I was so happy, then one day they switched to a small box and I decided not to go back. But the food has never changed and has been good with anything you get.

Edit: What happened to this place? The last 3 times I went the rice was cold and undercooked. The salmon is scraps of fish chunks which look like they received as discounted left over fish from the sushi place next door. The crab tastes like it was pre-made, frozen, then semi-thawed. The seaweed salad is overly soggy.This used to be my favorite poke place in town. Now its my least favorite. I will not be returning._____Always good portions and well made rice. Been here a dozen times and hope to go a dozen more

Your experience will very on the time you go in and your server. Sometimes the rice isnt very fresh and the same goes for the fish. There are other times however where they will be extremely fresh and delicious. Overall its good. They usually dont skimp out on the protein, so for the price its definitely worth it with how much more expensive other places will be.

This place used to be really good until pandemic hit. Now that pandemic is over and all restaurants are open for dine in this place continue to be strict and only open to take out not sure what makes them so special probably because it is easier for them but not convenient for customers like me.... Not just that they turned the place to a storage facility boxed all over the chairs and tables so unprofessional I just dont understand it. Quality wise is good but not as good and fresh as it used to be. Oh they have free Miso Soup with each order but you have to ask for it they dont offer it .... really ?

I absolutely love this place! A great, quick, healthy, filling meal for around 10 bucks. Love all the different options. Could go there everyday for a month and never have the same bowl twice. I am a sushi lover but this is how I get my fix of all my favorite sushi flavors at a fraction of the price. One recommendation... dont go right when school lets out if you are wanting to get a table to eat. It fills up quick around that time

This place used to be awesome! A few months ago I walked in and the floor was very dirty and sticky everywhere. The owner wad there and manning the cash register. I dont know why he would accept this lack of cleanliness.Food quality has diminished and thats not a good thing when it comes to raw fish.There used to be a constant line of 5-10 people but now its just empty all the time.It feels like the owner has given up and its just a matter of time until they close their doors.Sad to see another great concept fall apart.

Great portion of food for the price! This beats going out to sushi for all you can eat. Everything tastes fantastic and can be enjoyed in a variety of combinations.I read that the service wasnt great here, but I have to disagree to an extent. There was a male, bearded employee that was quite rude, but the (presumably) owner was kind and even came over to suggest that we use sesame oil in the bowl. Overall this is a place I would miss if I let one workers ineptitude for customer service to drive me away.

The first time I came here it was amazing, fresh fish, friendly service, grade A. The second time, sub par and my fish was warm. I decided that I wasnt a fan and didnt go back. Recently I saw that they do burritos. I still wasnt a fan. Im pretty sure my burrito wasnt made correctly (it is new so I wont ding points for that) and my fish was still warm and I felt like it lacked flavor regardless of my sauce choices. I was really rooting for this place since its so close to my house.

Ive been coming to this place for lunch fairly regularly for the last year. My earlier impression about the staff here wasnt great, but theyve greatly improved. The food is great for the cost, and the addition of free miso soup has really made for a full meal at lunch. The only complaint I still have is with the layout of the counter, but given the small space Im not sure what else they can do. Its my go to poke place in the SCV. Im really grateful that the place has improved.

Really disappointed in my last visit. The young employees decided 8:30 was a good time to start cleaning, while my family and I were still eating. The whole place smelt of bleach and Lysol within minutes... we decided to leave and finish our food at home. Unfortunately, the smell followed us as the seats we sat on were recently cleaned and not wiped down, leaving bleach and Lysol on our clothes. Not sure why the employees couldnt wait until closing time or at the very least until my family was finished eating.

This is a great place to get Poke in the area. The amount of customization options you have here is great. The service here is fast and easy and the workers change their gloves with each guest so its a plus for those with allergies. The price is good for what they give. Easily a place youd want to come back to.

So we love Poke. If you dont know what poke is think sushi rice bowl. So good. Now, there are two Poke places close together and this one is excellent if you know what you like and love lots of choices. The other Poke place is better if you are interested in trying Poke and want a preset menu and less choices. Either way, you are a winner. Just writing this review makes me want to go back.The staff here was really friendly and helpful. I have younger kids and they take a while to make choices and they were really patient.

Its a good change from the usual fare in SCV. I dont have much experience with Poke (other than at Fish Tail a few miles down the same road), so Im not sure where this sits on the spectrum of poke bowls. Though I personally am no fan of raw fish, or raw anything, I do enjoy coming here once in a while and even adding some raw tuna or scallops to my bowl.Seating is somewhat limited and the place does seem to have a lot of traffic. Theres free lemon/cucumber water available in a dispenser. Place is clean, decor a tad sterile and staff is very friendly, providing great service. Definitely worth a try, 3.5 stars.

This was my first time here at the Poke place. I got in line and it was time to order my poke. The person who assisted me with fixing my bowl ask me which sauce and I have never tried the sauces and Im picky about sauces. So I asked to sample the sauce. He appeared to not want to take the time to allow me try the sauces and then he did start me off with two sauces and then started helping someone else. He then got the sauce is confused as to which ones I was trying so I didnt like the first two then I try so he gave me another one and I just went with it because I knew he didnt want to take the time to let me try another sauce. The important thing about being in the customer service industry is taking the time to deal with your customer and make the customer not feel rushed. For this experience I will not be coming back to this place. The Poke is okay. I asked for the spring mix base and I only got spinach. They are very skimpy with their sides.

They just expect you to order quick so you can get out fast. Expected since its full teenage employees. Also, no room to eat - maybe five tables - three two tops, two four tops. I have been coming to this location for about 2-3 months and it has been so far so good (especially with the free miso soup). I typically always get rice or half salad and rice. Yesterday I noticed a new menu item (Beet Rice) so I tried it and the rice became lodged in my throat. So $250 later (emergency visit) and I am in disbelief at how this could have happened was it a coincidence or the way this rice is prepared?

I finally got a chance to try it and I think its just OK.First of all, there is only one size of Poke you can get where other places you can get a small, medium or large sized Poke. Instead, you have the choice of getting 3 or 4 scoops of different types of fish with your Poke in the same size bowl.I also noticed that they lacked the toppings and sauces that you find at other Poke places but they do have the most popular ones. I was looking for eel sauce and they didnt have it.Overall, I am happy that the SCV finally has a Poke place to go to. I hope that they get better given that they just opened up a few weeks ago.Until then, my preferred Poke destination would be 8oz Poke in Sherman Oaks or Poke Salad Bar in Pasadena.

Used to love this place but then they hired a really rude employee, Aaron, that ruined the place. I will definitely no longer be coming here and Ill be making sure that everyone I know doesnt either. Ive been coming here since before the official opening - even promoted the place on social media - and have getting my Poké Bowl with a Seaweed Salad Base on all occasions because of my dietary limitations. He refused to do that (in a very rude manner) and also insulted me. Sad to see such a great place go downhill so quick, especially because I really liked their food.

It can be a bit overwhelming trying it the first time cause of all the options so let me share my favorite: white rice, salmon/albacore, garlic ponzu, crabmeat, green onions, wasabi and ginger, garlic with spicy mayo and eel sauce. Also if you are a fan of Ginger try the lemonade I was afraid to try it for a while but its a nice amount of sweet I really enjoy it! If you enjoy sushi you will love Poke its basically a sushi bowl, dont be shy and try it out!

It begins like a treasure hunt.They are a tad bit hidden in the back upstairs .around the corner.When you do locate them, its worth the walk.They offer outdoor seating with an upstairs view.You can over look Hollywood Boulevard or take your Poke and sit at the outside seating near the center of Hollywood and Highland.The seafood is fresh, the toppings are plentiful and the service is friendly and fast.Its close.Its fresh.Its reasonably priced!All of which matter to me.
