Fast service, nice employees. Food was not bad, though a but pricey for its quality. Might come again if i’m desperate enough and if it’s late. Good atmosphere, clean restaurant and restrooms.

I was there a few nights ago and a server named Debra was working. She brought me hot fresh coffee and my food was fast and quick. I normally order the cobb salad but I asked for a suggestion and she suggested crazy spicy skillet. I added on eggs and a side of toast with it. That as well came out hot and fresh and quick.Ive been to other Dennys but this one I like, its, nice, clean, and well kept, and the service is great.I come here sometimes in the morning as well and the ladies always take care of me and my family.

This Denny’s is beyond a total disappointment. The wait on drinks and food was literally 1 hr long and the employees don’t seem to care. I’ve asked for coffee twice and no refill. When we received the food it was cold. Poor customer service 👎🏻

We come here about 1-2 times a week and always receive excellent service. We enjoy having conversations and joking around with the staff and it sets a fun and welcoming environment. The food is always on point and the country fried steak and side salads are great.

The staff is very professional. They make you feel very welcome and I come in on every Sunday on my way to work, and the waitress is always welcome in when you walk in and attend to you right away and the waitress that helped us out I think her name is Rosemary best service ever

Came in super late on a week night and got a pretty bomb meal of brisket and mac and cheese. Just one guy working the floor helping little old ladies and and other late patrons but still was on top of everything. Pretty good and clean and at a good value.

Dennys has never let me down when in need of a place to study. The tables are always clean and the atmosphere feels fresh. The waiters are always very sweet and never leave my cup of water empty.

Waitress never returned to check on us, never gave us our bill. Just rude. Someone welcomed us about 4 minutes after we walk through the door, and then walked away from us but didnt pick up any menus or anyting. So we followed her for her to turn around and just look at us dumbfounded!

Ive been here a few times, and something always seems to go wrong - usually with our order. Today was no different. Started with coffee, but did not bring silverware. Brought me the wrong order (more expensive option), waitress said she would not charge me for the additional amount, but did anyway in the end by charging me for a completely different more expensive item. Im done going to this location (Camarillo, CA).

Ive gone here about a dozen times now in the late evening or early morning, and every time, Debbie is working the front of house by herself. She is fast and efficient as hell, and is always greeting customers, waiting on multiple tables, taking their payments, and handling all of the pickup orders, BY HERSELF. And she does it with a smile and is awesome. This woman needs a raise.

I like the food in this place, although you always have to wait more than 30 minutes, there are no snacks to have a moment of distraction, we have 3 girls who are desperate for time, which is a lot, it is more than 30 minutes, although they always give a childrens menu and crayons, but the food, the atmosphere and the service are great, Norma and Silvia were good waitresses, I hope to return and be served. The cashier who was on duty on Saturday the 22nd at noon was very kind.

This Dennys was a comfort in these times. Needed food and a break on my way home. All the precautions in place. The silverware in a paper sleeve a nice touch. Very pleasent staff. I ordered something I rarely do and it was very well made. Yum.

Dennys is Dennys. A giant corporate franchise where you can expect the same flavor at any Dennys. But not exactly a bar for fine dining.But Im giving this particular Dennys a review as a salute to the hard working working crew there. Even in moments of chaos when its down to two, sometimes one server against a full house, Im always treated with grace. Thats the vibe that keeps me coming back.

I love Dennys but the service has really gone down hill at this particular location. The bus boys were much more friendly and helpful then the servers.Twice we tipped the bus boys separately to make sure they were taken care of since they were doing all work. No complaints about the food at least. And for the love God PLEASE THOROUGHLY CLEAN THE BATHROOMS!!!!

We went on veterans day, we did anticipate the place to be busy. It took about 45 minutes to get our food but our waitress kept apologizing, while yltrying to get about 10 more tables by herself. When our food came, the plate that I got served on was dirty and it was not just tiny spot dirty. It seem like they scrapped the food from the previous dinner and they put my food on that DIRTY plate.

I’ve lived in Camarillo almost my whole life and grew up coming to this dennys with my family on the weekends. It’s always been a great place but lately the workers don’t seem to care for their customers. They sat us down and took about 10 minutes to ask us what we wanted to drink. We asked for coffee and my mug had someone’s pink bottom lipstick on it. The crazy part is that the workers were in the back making fresh juices for people and serving the rest into their OWN CUPS AND DRINKING IT. I looked at the employee and shook my head and she just smiled. Long story short, they gave me a dirty cup they had previously used themselves while they were drinking freshly made juice on the job instead of attending their customers. I’m sorry, but that was beyond gross for me. To top it off, we asked for a refill on one coffee & a water refill, never received it. Horrible service. I will be eating at ihop from now on. Dennys girls do better instead of chismiando 👏

Hadnt been to this Dennys in a couple of years. Now i remember why. Our original waitress brought our drinks and didnt come back at all, she kept walking by and made it very obvious she was ignoring us. Another waitress noticed how long it had been and came to take our order, 20 minutes after we got our drinks. Our food took a long time to come out. Needless to say, Ill make the Drive to Ventura next time, service, quality and speediness is better.

My husband and I decided to go out out for a late night meal. As soon as we got our coffee, we noticed that the mugs were not exactly clean. My husbands mug had an unmistakeably large pink lipstick print on it. Suffice it to say, I was extremely grossed out and wanted to walk out and leave but we had already ordered and nothing else was open at the time so we stayed. Other than that unfortunate incident, everything else was okay. The server was nice and apologetic but the service was very slow.

Smelled like dirty dishes when we came in. Took the waitress way too long to take our order, and when she did, she was very rude to my boyfriend and I. She wouldnt make eye contact with either of us, she only brought us one menu, she was on her phone while taking our order, and made the environment very tense and stressful by yelling at her coworkers. We ended up getting so uncomfortable that we left before we got our food. Not a pleasant experience.

Jorge was a very good server. Unlike many more upscale restaurants he actually listened and made sure modifications and requests were accurate, so when the food arrived it was exactly what I ordered.Had the chicken broccoli bowl at other Dennys before, their chicken and presentation was better than others but quantity of rice seemed less. On an unusually rainy Monday this was a good pitstop.Like Starbucks Dennys is consistent, reasonably priced but Jorge was superior to other locations with regards to his attention to detail and genuine hospitality. Equally in a pandemic he truly sanitized tables between guests, unlike many!

Food was good. I asked for over easy eggs. They were over cooked. I rated 3 stars because my grandson was visiting and we took him to Dennys for his last day with us. After his meal he wanted dessert and they said they were closed and couldnt serve us dessert. We were the last patrons, and it was closing time but we were still eating, AND paying for our food. They said no. So disappointed. We wont be going there again.

We went as a group of five and for some reason our food was done slow or something, it took about an hour or so. When the food gets to us they only bring us four meals and made us wait an additional 20 minutes longer for the other meal to be ready. It was the worst experience and planning on never going back to that Dennys. It felt like they were serving the caucasians first, which they were. Same size groups or bigger were served right away and left sooner than us. It wasnt just us there was another table of Hispanic people that walked out because they said theyve been waiting there as long as we were. Guess they tip better? Horrible experience and service!!!!!

The food is Dennys, service is pretty good.If youre traveling or just out for a quick bite, Dennys is always there. The food may not be the best nor the service stellar, but youll get what you need at a fair price. The employees are usually eager to please, even though they are always busy. Its rarely my first choice, but never my last.

Great experience. Staff is doing all they can to keep patrons safe. Our server, Shary V, was excellent. She was multi talented in that she was short staffed yet seated incoming customers, rang up customers, served food and refilled drinks all with a positive attitude and smile behind her mask. Food was delivered hot and was tasty. I ordered a build your own grand slam while wide ordered a super slam. Eggs were perfectly cooked as were all the side dishes. I can recommend Denneys as a solid choice for any meal.

Well I was at Denny’s in Camarillo. Wanted a double cheese burger and my sister wanted ice cream. We don’t have I cream but I can make you one with bananas but no peanuts. We started with ice water an hour later the waitress said is everything good we said yes we’re still waiting for our burger. She said what did you order. My sisters response was well have to take to go we’ve been here way to long. Waitress left came back explained she keyed in 2 waters so the order never went thru. Our response was well we need to go she did sorry for the mix up. The manager on duty on the other side of the booth never came out but he heard. So he was hiding. I had good conversation with my sister we left we laughed at their poor service. I don’t think they know customers pay their salary best glass of ice water I’ve had. What a joke this place was.

Some friends and I came to eat here and had possibly the worst restaurant experience in a while, I have been to this Dennys a handful of times in the past and I dont remember it being this bad I understand the workers are trying their best and seem short staffed but the waitress either seemed to be on something or having a rough day as she took all of our orders and didnt write anything down we waited about 15 minutes then she came back and took the orders again because she forgot them and we then waited about an hour for the food to come out, just for it to come out luke warm and the food was poorly presented as if it were just thrown on the plate, again I understand that its not the best its Dennys after all so my expectations werent high.Its just sad to see all the workers looked burnt out and fed up with their jobs also to point out one of the waitress not ours was having a small breakdown and was crying in one of the booths.The restaurant just needs a solid management team to get things consistently up and running as it wasnt even busy during our visit.

First of all I went in to receive my free birthday grand slam and was refused. After talking to the owner overview the phone I was given the breakfast, but told that I had to pay for my drink several times. Then when they brought my breakfast they forgot my toast. Then 14 minutes later they brought me pancakes, which I didnt order, and took them back. About 10 minutes longer they final brought my toast. After my breakfast was already done. Very unhappy with the manager on duty, the service. And the experience as a whole. Especially, after they just reopened this location.

The place was packed the morning after Christmas. Sitting at the counter provided fast service and the food arrived hot and tasty. We were offered coffee refills every few minutes so if you havent sat at the counter for a while even if theres a few of you I recommended it. Its a nice change.

I havent eaten at Dennys in years but ended up going with my family right before a road trip,the waitress was great,there was about half a dozen tables, she was the only one on shift and still made us feel like we were the only table she had,to my surprise all the food came out good the kids got there food first,as they should and ours was right behind that,very friendly,they earned there stars tonight!

Theyre everywhere.We think, oh Dennys the trucker restaurant.They have reasonable prices, and pretty good food and typically servers that know their stuff.This Dennys is always clean, have friendly staff and serve good meals. Pretty much what you expect when you stop at one in most cities.So if you want to eat and dont want fast food or to spend your paycheck on food, go to Dennys. Theyre way better than stopping at a fast food restaurant.

Early 6am breakfasts make my day. Big choice selections on breakfasts, lunches and dinners. I always get good service, friendly waitresses, hot food and good portions. Honors AARP card discount. I placed an online order for two Zesty Nachos. I arrived to the designated online pickup area and waited. It took a while for a waiter to notice me. He walked over and asked if I had ordered already, I answered Yes, I did it online. I thought that he would then retrieve my order. Nope, I was wrong. I stood there for a few more minutes until someone else approached me and asked if I needed any help. I said Yes, I ordered two Zesty Nachos online. He went to the cooks trying to retrieve my order. The cooks read the ticket incorrectly and had only prepared one of my Zesty Nachos. Back to waiting I go. No apologies were made about the extra wait time. I will not be a returning customer due to the lack of customer interest and poor customer service

Came in for dinner and to work on my laptop. I was sat in the very back. I was never greeted. No one approached my table giving a menu or asked what I would like to drink and order. There was 3 servers, 2 cooks, and 2 tables sitting. I sat there for a hour and a half and nothing. Then booths and tables were being moved for cleaning. No one informed me they closed at 10pm. Food was OK. Service was something to be desired. Hanging an empty cup at the end of a table for a refill and asking for a refill was such a burden on the server it would of been better to have self service available. Also getting your food after a long wait is bad enough but then having to wait again as your food gets cold for a napkin and utensils made it worse. If I come back here again I will be on my aggressive alert mode. This may also be for fact the utensils I did finally get had old food baked on it.

Ate at Dennys for first time in 8 years. Friends came and wanted breakfast at Dennys. I was pleasantly surprised by the menu complete with calorie counts on all items. I chose the multigrain pancakes with two eggs bacon and grateful for the healthy fruit added. The waitress was attentive and the restaurant was clean and well kept.

Came in around 10:50pm to pick up my online order and they took about 10 minutes just to talk to me and ask me for who I was picking up 3 employees were there and not one helped me until one was done cashiering while the other 2 were just waiting for the orders appreciate the lady that helped me but the other lady basically gave my food 2 another guest and took it back to later give it to me check ur orders and who theyre for, beforing giving out the food. I dont appreciate that what if he had opened it or took a sip of my drink!!! She also walked away laughing/smiling which upset me even more

I have never had a more pleasant experience at a Dennys. Our server, Teresa, delivered great tasting food at an amazing speed and with considerable attention. My second visit this past Friday morning at about 6:30 a.m. I returned because the service on my first visit was stellar, and it was a repeat performance this time. Early on a Friday you are likely to be greeted and seated by Wanda, who will brighten your morning with a smile, a great attitude, and top flight service!I am not a Dennys fan generally; but I must say this spot at 1659 Daily in Camarillo, CA is woth pulling off of the 101 for coffee and a quick breakfast. Try it if you are in the area early mornings.

Old women were oblivious! We asked if our pick up was ready because we got a confirmation text that it was. When we get there they inform us it was not ready alright no big deal. 20 minutes later and asking multiple times, they tell us it’s ready. Here’s the irritating thing, it was sitting out right next to them for a while even when we asked if it was ready and they said no..... not a bad restaurant just wack service.

Ordered online for lunch and the online was all kinds of messed up and on top of it my food was not there after I called to confirm my orders. The old smoker lady confirmed and when I got there it was not. Her excuse is that she didnt understand online. Grrr I was 20 mins. Is at a good location with plenty of parking. The place looks clean and service was good. I guess my only issue is that the food its not that great to give it five stars. I dont think I would go back since there are other similar choices that it might be better.

Waitress Connie did not get the order correct. I ordered wheat pancakes but receive buttermilk pancakes. She reordered the pancakes, and I received the right one after I had eaten the rest of my food. Lukewarm in attitude also. Overall, the area is off the freeway, and it was a clean area.

I have returned to dennys lately... I have been surprised by some of the meals being better than expected. The pot roast dish was very good and have had it several times. The last time I had the top sirloin dinner and was very surprised by the how good it was. The peice of meat was well seasoned and cooked to order. This is very casual dinning... but those dishes were good. Also the service was very polite and efficient..

This was the worst Dennys I have ever been to. Dirty, sticky...in the 1970s they had rep of being a zero on a scale of 1 to 10...but, they did a complete turn around and became a decent chain of restaurants. This one must have taken a trip on a Way-Back Machine, it was so bad. The one in Camarillo is way better.

Terrible service. Tried to make a To go order the girl accepted it and then put me on hold for 10 min. Then she tells me they cant take the order becomes it was after 10. I dont understand why they have people who have no idea what they are doing answer the phone. After that I talked to the Asia manager who was more useless than anyone. Then when they finally took my order they told me it was going to take 30 min. Are you kidding me 30 minutes for a sandwich. And then I asked for a ranch and she shoves her fingers in the cup when I asked for another one she starts arguing with me and then she tells me shes not dealing with me are you kidding me. This Dennys is going downhill fast. Servers are still very friendly and professional, but the greeters are typically young men covered in tattoos who dont seem to want to be there. The food is also getting worse as time goes by (hard to believe for a Dennys, but its true). I ordered a country fried steak platter. The steak was lukewarm, and the white gravy on top was room temperature and very thick. Quite disgusting. I had it redone, and the replacement was not much better. Dennys insists on using way too much salt to hide the lack of flavor. The toast was soaked in butter, and the biscuit my wife received was semi-stale. The only real upside was the coffee, which is now the only thing Ill go into a Dennys for. One of the two managers was helpful, but the other seemed too into his own she-male identity to care (not a critique on his lifestyle, but on his lack of professionalism - especially as a manager). This was one of the better Dennys locations, so Im compelled to think the entire chain is now not worth visiting. If youre looking for a good breakfast in Camarillo, try the Waypoint Café right on the Camarillo Airport runway. Much better food, and EVERY staff member there cares about your experience.

This Dennys is in a place so easy to find that I have memorized a good portion of State Street already in the immediate area. What made it so easy is that there is an Arco gas station next door. On the next block is Motel 6. Slightly down the street is the center for the post office and Gelsons Market. In that whole strip is also a.book store, Barbershop and salon for women. Dennys always serves my food in a timely manner and fresh. They never get it wrong and I like it that I can come in just for a pit stop for.thwir restroom. Their parking is not a big lot but its plenty and has some trees for shading.

A great place to just be, and the food part is all extra icing on it all. This cafe used to be called Alphis(sp) back in 1969 and 70 when everyone you knew ended up at Alfys cafe on ventura road and channel islands after the scateing rinks closed.
