Spare ribs 10 out of 10Ox tails 7 out of 10 (only received two pieces for a half pound order)compared to Les BBQ. The small one was a little tough, but the large one had the tenderness and flavor. I don’t really prefer the bark.Mac & cheese, 4 out of 10 I honestly like Chick-fil-A Mac better. Tasted like it was made from a box. Very disappointed did not give me homemade baked mac & cheese at all, and not worth seven dollars.Baked beans get a 10 out of 10 had a spicy kick to it.The overall atmosphere was great the place was clean. Customer service was very good and the cookies bourbon pecan were delicious! I would definitely come back to try other things on the menu.

Thought wed try this place just to see what the hype on their social media page was all about. However, I was not impressed and actually very disappointed in the taste and portion sizes. Upon ordering, the girl at the register said that everything was a la carte, which I thought was strange because the menu online showed something different. She did acknowledge that I could order the two ribs and a side, so I chose the potato salad. The ribs were tender but had no smokey flavor. Without the BBQ sauce, the meat tasted bland. The potato salad also had zero flavor, just tastes like potatoes in mayo. I was not a fan, and out of all of the places Ive tried from the East Coast to the West Coast, this place had the smallest portions. 2 ribs and a small side (no drink) for $17. Thats all the money this establishment will ever get from me.

Today, I visited Destination Smokehouse. I had the brisket tacos and some potato salad. This place doesnt miss. The brisket was succulent and delicious. Paired with some onion, cilantro, lime guacamole sauce, and some corn tortillas, it hit the spot. The potato salad needs a little work and a bit more taste / seasonings. Overall, it was delicious. Cant wait to come back for some more BBQ.

Best BBQ the sandwiches are delicious, drink flavors are great. The sides on the other hand is a hit and miss sometimes the Mac and cheese is great sometimes it’s dry and not much flavor the coleslaw doesn’t usually have much flavor. On the other hand the desserts are also delicious must try them out definitely a place to check out for hemets best spot for some delicious smoked meats. I’d highly recommend the (brisket and cheddar ) and the (brisket grilled cheese panini) I don’t recommend as much the Philly sandwich just not all there I think it’s not bad but I’d just recommended to go with something else first then maybe try that one last. The strawberry dessert was delicious the waffles taste so good when they come out warm with the ice cream on topTacos 10/10 add some salt

My gf and I ate here and preferred the Brisket Philly Cheesesteak and the El Paso Brisket Burger. We also ordered the Acapulco waffle and were blown away.The restaurant’s system went down after we received our sandwich/burger and we had to wait a few extra minutes for our waffle but then they brought it out and let us know that they made it extra big because we had to wait longer than expected. 10/10. Dear Lord the amount of ice cream on the waffle was insane. It was truly a mountain. Y’all should rename it. “Everest” seems fitting.Thanks for the great service guys!

If you werent looking for it, you might miss it. Nestled in the old Hemet train stop, Destination Smokehouse whips up some solid brisket BBQ. No shortage of ice cream, strawberry sweetness & delicious waffle to wrap up the savory meal. Definitely worth the trip.

There are a couple of places in town that do barbecue but this one does it the best. I passed by this place for years and always wondered what the food and atmosphere was like. I finally went in one day. The only regret I have is that I didnt go in sooner. The smoke flavor was alive and well in everything we ordered. It wasnt bland at all; typical of a lot of barbecue spots. Theres a nice outdoor courtyard with a lot of trees, greenery, a fountain and plenty of seating. You wont regret coming in for a nice lunch!

The oxtails are very good, too notch bbq if you can afford it. I went in thinking they had personal size platters, but it’s more like seafood boils where everything is by the pound. For a small Mac and cheese for 1 which was $8 and half lb oxtail came out to be $30, oxtails was delicious. Mac n Cheese was flavorful but more on the soupy side and not really cheesy and no it’s not your typical AA Household mac I can compare it to Kraft and Velveeta box mac n cheese. You really need a good 40-60 if you’re going to get a side and 2 half lb meats. They have multiple sandwiches that look great, I’d definitely go back I was just shocked at the prices wasn’t expecting that but the meat is literally fall off the bone and a must try regardless of the price.

I went in to try the street tacos on taco Tuesday and absolutely loved them! The restaurant itself is very clean and refreshing. The staff were friendly and helpful as it was my first time there, Im definitely hooked. I will be back.

This is my favorite BBQ joint in town. Im head over heels for their pulled pork in particular. Their outside patio areas are lovely, especially while the orange blossoms are in bloom. The flora adds a beautiful touch to the outside dining atmosphere.Inside is also nice and has a comfortable ambiance. I love how they hold the theme of historical Hemet in their restaurant. The decor and art are charming.All of it perfectly suited to be nestled up to the Hemet Museum, which I am grateful to have as well. Definitely recommend to drop by for a blast from the past if youre eating at Destination Friday - Sunday, as those are the days the museum is open to the public.

Me and my dad went over there to eat the brisket sandwiches. The bread and cheese was good. The sandwich itself was fulfilling. HOWEVER, i wouldnt recommend it because despite the advertising, the meat had ZERO smokiness. The only thing that was smokey was the barbeque sauce

We shared a Kansas City brisket and a burger with brisket. Both were very good. I put a bit of the Spicy BBQ on mine, and it was delicious. Just the right amount of heat in the sauce.The burger patty was lean and flavorful. I love how light the meat is smoked, with just a kiss of smoke, as Nick describes it. For me, that is perfect because I like to taste the flavor of the meat as well. The way these meats are smoked, you get the best of both.The service is great, and the location is adorable. I love the name Destination Smokehouse & Bistro located inside the old Train Depot. Perfect choice!

Our first time, and the service was extremely slow 🐌 51 minutes before we received our food. I do know they run out of items threw out the day, so my wife and I tried the chedder brisket because thats all they were serving, and it was awesome with mac and cheese. I will return to try other items due to their instagram postings and hope the service improves.

My first time here, and it was ok but not as good as the video they posted on social media make it look. We waited 1 1/2 hour for our food and it came to us cold. For that amount of time you would think that it would come out all hot and fresh, at least with some steam coming out of the food. Not as much meat as the video and it was like it was odds and ends pieces that fell off the briskets with a old rubbery end cruch taste to it and the onion rings tasted old as well. The mac n cheese had a good cheese pull and was good. But this dish was definitely not freshly made! We couldnt really enjoy it as it was cold and room temp, so we took it home to warm up to at least try to enjoy it. Maybe it was left overs from over the cinco de mayo celebration and/or event they had at the school yesterday and were trying to get rid of the rest, who knows.

Drove over 30 minutes to try the food . I will say the food did not disappoint. The only reason I gave 4 stars was because we waited forever (like 20 minutes) for our food and had 1 person ahead of us .. I couldnt get what was taking so long then they brought part of our order and said nachos would be right out. ... well 15 minutes later they forgot about our nachos . I went up and asked and she did apologize and made them but sent them over not following the order of no onion or cilantro. Soooo we had to wait AGAIN for her to make them over again. This place was SO GOOD. How many times have you been somewhere where the food looks EXACTLY as good in real life as it does in the ads? Not just looks, either! It was the best sandwich Ive had in a long time, and the best pastrami EVER. The food isnt cheap, but its GOOD, and it always feels better to support a local business. The staff was so polite and friendly and helpful. In fact, the girl that took our order recommended this sandwich. Always ask for recommendations!

Redoing my first review having been to Destination 5 or so times now. Last time this morning to check out the new menu. My family and have not been disappointed by anything on the menu. In the drinks everything from the teas to the coffee has been great. All the food has been great still need to try a few things but they all look good. Dont shy away from the brisket its great. Over all its definitely worth the 30+ min trip for us out there.

This place is unique in the fact that its a former train station from yesteryear. Service was ok, as was the food. They had no pulled pork option available due to having no pork ready. Its a bit disappointing since one of the few options of meat you gave is pork. The brisket was ok but very fatty. They actually have good beef for their 1 burger option. They might do better business if they had more burger options. Im very disappointed that I drove 30 mins to Hemet from Beaumont to try this place from the several recommendations I received about it. Also the parking is very confusing. They have a small gated parking lot, which seems to serve a museum thats linked to the same location. In fact, the official parking lot seems to be a dirt lot in the back of the former station where the old tracks still lay.

It was disappointing that there was no brisket, pastrami and the waffle maker was down. Could of used more burnt ends on my pulled pork but it was good regardless. Im new here. I travel for work and came across here. Beautiful place here. Cool outdoors patio. But I didnt understand why it took 5 minutes to be a knowledge at the counter, with only 3 tables inside. Finally I order ask about an item I saw online . Specialty brunch coffee shop and more. Location is a repurposed train station ticketing building connected to a museum. This place is a hidden gem, everything on the menu served all day aside from soup of the day. Employees are hard working and friendly, looks like its a family owned business. Sister discovered it on google maps and its been our go to coffee shop since. Can eat inside, outside, to go, can call in orders ahead too.Trying to get here is a little difficult if not familiar with the area, i suggest finding parking on the nearby carwash parking lot across the railroad track or driving southward on state st in order to make the turn into the connected museum.

First time getting food from here after reading reviews. Food looked awesome in posted pictures, and we decided to order online. My wife picked up the food, and upon opening the containers, I was so disappointed. I ordered the Kansas City Brisket and 2 street tacos. The buns and tortillas were drenched in oil. It looked like I ordered the heart attack special. The best part of the sandwich was the pickels. I was so disgusted that I threw the food out. The worst lunch and money spent on food. Maybe the experience is different in person, but based on my experience, I will not be ordering from this place again.

Truly a hidden gem of Hemet.Located in a blink and youll miss it old train depot off Florida Avenue.Love the food here. Be sure to try out one of their waffle sandwiches.The coffee is amazing and could be considered better than a certain popular franchise thats located on every corner.My current favorite drink is the raspberry green tea blended.Very relaxed and comforting atmosphere with plenty of cushy chairs and books to keep you busy while waiting for your order. If I have any criticism, it would be that theres a wait for most orders.Even when its not busy Ive had to wait just for a coffee. Like 15 - 20 minutes.Maybe Im being too critical but that just seems a little too long.Thats why Im giving destination 4 out of 5 stars.Still a great place to visit if youre ever in Hemet.

Update: Decided to return for a meal. Ordered breakfast sandwiches and coffee for myself and my girlfriend. Weve been by a few times since our first visit for just coffee, and once for her daughter to try their mac and cheese. I have to say, Im never disappointed with this place. The prices are fair, especially considering the freshness of the ingredients. Everything is delicious and satisfying. This time we tried a couple of their seasonal coffee flavors, and ees expected, they were incredible.Ive known this place was here, but am now ashamed to say that Ive never stopped in before now. I recently had an encounter with the owner, and was instructed to stop by. Im glad I did. I ordered way too much because it all looked so good, and I was not disappointed. Except for the fact that I didnt leave any room for dessert. If the food and coffee is any kind of indicator, Im missing out on something truly amazing. I will be back, and hopefully next time I will remember that I want to try that Apple crumb.

Fantastic food, great coffee, tasty water, special drinks, yummy muffins incredible desserts, friendly staff, pet friendly outside porch area, and easy access with parking in downtown Hemet location by the museum and tracks. Each meal is made on the spot so plan on spending a little time hanging out, but the wait is worth it. Bring a friend or two and enjoy this unique place to eat and visit.

I arrived yesterday at Destination as a new customer. I had high expectations going into this establishment and was met by the most kind and courteous staff at any restaurant. I ordered the Brisket and Cheddar and a Lemonade for takeout. This order took 20 minutes to prepare and was a little long for my expectations of takeout, however Destination may have changed my view on takeout. The smell of the brisket was immaculate. Once I had my first bite I was hooked. The brisket is smoked to is tender and just absolute perfection 14$ for a sandwich? This is not your ordinary sandwich. The lemonade is fresh and they have 3 different flavors all equally refreshing. Long story short the food was worth the wait and I will be a regular customer at Destination from here on.

I have officially ate there 3 times so here is my review. The food is good and flavorful but most importantly the service is remarkable. I would take a pic of my food but you want to eat so fast you always forget. The brisket I would say is there star child, I had there pork belly as well but it’s not very fatty at all …it actually is kinda dry, and you don’t get any fatty pieces at all. I will be a repeat customer though and that’s what matters most

SUPER IMPRESSED! I ordered Monday and had to cancel due to my daughters preschool calling and me having to pick her up! Jenna was amazing and held my same order until Today! I knew the food would be good based on the reviews but definitely better than I even thought. I got the brisket and cheddar which is AMAZING and love that the sauce comes on the side so the sandwich isnt soggy, Also got the potato salad which is made with red skin potatoes (my fave), and strawberry lemonade. There wasnt enough seating for customers. Most tables were oversized and had one person sitting at it. I had the brisket tacos and the Berry Berry lemonade and it was delicious. The salsas are amazing spicy enough that you feel it, but it enhances the flavor without overpowering the actual taste of your meal. The lemonade is very refreshing, I had a refill and tried the blue lemonade, its even better than the first one. You can distinctly taste the blueberry flavor in the lemonade. I will be coming back!

Ships 🤷, I passed by this place a number of times and always thought maybe I take the kids there, having to be out in town with my sister, and decided to stop in and check it out. The Brisket sandwich is FLAT OUT AMAZING. The Brisket is perfectly smoked and the cheddar cheese pairs perfectly with it. It also comes with two sides of bbq sauce. Well… complicated story. Drove for about 2 hours to take my mom out to have lunch at this place. When we ordered there was a family of 3 front of us. After we ordered and sat down, the family was served and we got our drinks delivered.We waited while we chatted and after 25 minutes the family was done with their food, at that time I went in to ask what was happening with our order. It seems the clerk forgot to put the order in with the cooks.While I was very upset and tried to not let it get to me, we waited another 10 minutes. The clerk delivered our food and apologized about the issue. She brought to us some cookies to make it up to us and apologized again.She also spotted our drinks half empty and she went out of her way to refill them. After we were done eating she came again to ask if we enjoyed our food.This place is usually spot on when it comes to taste. The managers and owner are a good family and their quality shows throughout the restaurant. I recommend the pork rib. Great BBQ is common enough, but their ribs actually have a uniquely sweet taste. Their menu items have good portions. If you order a coffee, know you are going to get a full cup the size of a bowl - that’s not a complaint. Don’t stare too long at their bakery - temptation will be strong!

**i’m only giving 5 stars so this post can get more attention.**This place is honestly good. I’ve come here about 5 times, BUT the last 3 times I have come in, I have left with no food. The first time the waffle maker was down and they didn’t have any of the meats that I liked. The second time the same thing, almost all the meats were out, and the guy who makes the keto tacos was not here. The third time, I called ahead of time and they said they had what I wanted, so I came in and ordered and was waiting for my food. A server then comes out and tells me if I haven’t received my food yet it’s because they are out of ALL meats, except turkey and ribs, and I would need to get a refund. Mind you I never come near the closing time I come around 1 or 2. I got a refund and left. I don’t think I will be returning, only because its happened almost every time I come, even if I call ahead. They need to make more meats, if they run out all the time.

Kinda disappointed about this place. My family and I were pretty excited about trying it out on my daughters bday (wanted to take her here before having to leave town for work) and the day we went their waffle maker was broken. I understand things happen but they said it would be resolved that day (sunday) or Tuesday at the latest. We called Monday and Tuesday so that we didnt have to make the drive and them tell us the machine was still down, unfortunately no one ever answered the phone! Now Im out of state and wont be able to say if the place was good or not. Hopefully when Im back in town I can actually change my review according to the service, quality and taste rather than this unfortunate experience.

This is a very nice cafe. Their Italian sodas are excellent. Their waffle sandwiches are great. Their coffee was good quality, but I didnt care for the way the espresso was pulled. Tasted more like drip coffee. But like I said, good tasting, just not true tasting espresso. So I would recommend getting drip coffee instead of espresso. :)

*Update*I would give more stars if I could. We have become regulars. We have yet to order something we didnt like. The brisket and cheddar along with the el paso burger are our favorites. As for the Dessert Waffles honestly we have tried them all and you cannot go wrong. They are all scrumptious. Our favorites are the Acapulco and the Savanah Strawberry Shortcake. Heres the thing you need to know about this hidden gem. They are now getting so popular with people traveling from all over that they stay open until they sell out. So do yourself a favor and call ahead if you are coming long distance. We have had family fly into visit and I always call before heading over especially on the weekends. This place is like none other. Fabulous food but all the staff make you feel like family. Nick, the owner, is such an easy going hard working man. Kudos to him and his staff for making Destination what it is today.Absolutely love this place. Its a great hideout from the normality of Hemet. The employees are always happy and so helpful. We come here often and love trying their new menu items. One thing for sure to get is the Acapulco Waffle. It is to die for! Highly recommend for sharing, unless you have a massive sweet tooth. We love their wafflewiches and have tried each one. I love the Sacramento with the fresh avocado, turkey, bacon, cheddar and tomato. It was scrumptious.

Oh man was this place more then I expected, I had been following them on Instagram for some time. I dont live in their area so on a trip home where my route led me to them I had to stop. Let me tell you the brisket was super soft the el paso burger was on point and the Philadelphia sandwich was bomb. I dont have pictures because I couldnt wait to eat my food that says enough.
