The place looks really cute, but the food was pretty bad, and the service was not good either. A guy who took our order at the register was straight up rude. When it was our turn to order, he didn’t say “hi” or anything at all to acknowledge our presence or greet us. The whole interaction seemed very weird, almost like he was doing us a favor or something. The food is another thing. I got a persimmon salad, which had paper-thin slices of persimmon, overwhelming chilly powder, 2 cherry tomatoes and some basic greens. My boyfriend got some kind of turkey sandwich which didn’t taste good either. Both dishes were really overpriced. Not to mention that they also add 5% to the tab for employees benefits. Which is cool, but why it’s on us the customers and not the employer?!It’s an aesthetically pleasing spot in a good location, but other than that it was pretty disappointing.

The Restaurants exterior and food design align perfectly with my personal taste. Its modern minimalist style captivates me, and I am genuinely obsessed with it. The food itself is exceptionally delightful. Although it may appear simple, the flavors are remarkably intricate, creating a burst of exquisite tastes in my mouth. I am particularly infatuated with their blueberries coconut yogurt, which makes me feel both satisfied and healthy. Considering the quality and presentation of the dishes, the prices are quite reasonable. If you happen to be in the vicinity, I highly recommend trying out this restaurant. It is an absolute must-visit.

Nice and quite outdoor seating with a typical nice fall day in LA. The dishes we had, blueberry with yogurt, tart with bacon, corn porridge, smoke fish with rye and a fruit tart, were very healthy, fresh and tasted fine. My son loves this pace, but it’s just so-so for an older man like myself. Maybe it’s just too healthy for me. There was no service to speak of. You’d waited in a line, place your order, find a shady area to enjoy your food and a staff would bring your order. The charges above the menu price, such as a 25% tip plus a 5% for wait staff’s health insurance seemed a bit high even for LA for basically a take out restaurant.

While waiting outside for my husband to place an order, I sought a table to sit at, eventually finding one. Shortly after, a man approached and informed me that without a number, I couldnt occupy the table since others who had ordered were looking for seating. The concept of first order, then serve was reasonable, but such policies should be communicated in advance. Additionally, I would have appreciated a more courteous manner of communication from the man, as the encounter left me feeling uncomfortable.Despite this unpleasant experience, the food was mediocre. I ordered French toast, and my husband opted for the loaded avocado. While we intended to share, the loaded avocado, priced at twenty-something dollars, came with only a single egg, which I found unacceptable. Although the loaded avocado itself was excellent, my expectation was for it to be served with two eggs. The French toast fell below my expectations; the bread was too thick, and the inside overly soft, not to my liking. On a positive note, the ambiance of the place was enjoyable.

The food is really exquisite (other than that bread - that was like a brick) I genuinely like the food and coffee here and how creative it isBUT the prices have gone up drastically, and it really turns me off to come back. Last time I was here, my entire bill - which had an additional item - was $5 LESS, and that was 3 months ago!!! $80 BEFORE TIP for 2 brunch items + bread is STUPID.I honestly can not recommend this place anymore to an average person

Experimental and unique pairings. I had the Beef tartare with crispy thin potato chips (very fun textures), Black sesame latte (this was mid, taste was too subtle and watered down), and Cornbread cookie. The cookie was SO GOOD. They ran out of the Sesame carrot bundt cake sad :(( Will definitely come back next time I’m here, very memorable. Also, the ceramics were super cool and they sold them in stores. Eating off cool ceramics makes everything taste better. It was kinda pricy but worth it.

Don’t let the instagram photos fool you… this place is overpriced and overhyped. Coffee and drinks were good but skip the food.Tables are not reserved so you get a number and have to wait for someone to get up from their limited seating. You could be holding your $26 plate eating on the street. 🙄 ingredients seemed high quality and plating was pretty but the flavors were not good or balanced for most of the food we had.Maybe this seasons menu was off but left very disappointed.Watched the staff yell at people to leave because they didn’t have enough tables for people whose food was coming out. The “dinning” area was really dirty with food on the ground, not cleaned tables, and our table wasn’t even secure and felt like it was going to break. Really poorly run establishment especially for this price point.

On a 5 day trip to LA, I ended up eating here 4 times - its just that good. You may scoff at paying over $20 for a bowl of blueberries and a coffee but those berries DO NOT QUIT!!!Staff is all very nice and helpful, and the indoor-outdoor seating area is beautiful and offers primo dog watching opportunities.Everything tastes very fresh and the recipes seem very well thought out - innovative without seeming douchey.

Definitely one of the coolest places for brunch in LA.My personal favourite is forbidden orchard blueberries. Great example of how something extraordinary can be created from simple ingredients.Additionally, don’t miss out on the Rice Porridge; its unique taste is beyond description - you simply have to experience it for yourself.
