So glad that Dim Sum Basket opens. Usually we go to the city on weekend just to get Dim Sum. Now we can have dim sum anytime we want 😊 except on Mondays since they’re closed. Please come early if you want to try variety of the menu. One of my favorites is the egg tart 👍 They also have pineapple custard bun but only on weekend (Sat & Sun).

My husband and I came here for our very first time. I would give this place 4 stars the taste and considering the price as well. Some of the dim sum we ordered was either a hit or a miss.

I love the sesame balls they are dessert along with the pineapple bun. My family has never tried dim sum, so we are going down the menu. Great customer service explaining what the items are and helping with suggestions.

I have been eating Dim Sum since I was a kid in San Francisco. Dim Sum Basket is on par with the restaurants in the city. Food is fresh and delicious. Shu Mai and the fried mochi were great. FYI this is take out only. The benefits are it does cater to the single diner where as the traditional sit down places tend not to.

We were very excited to see that a dim sum place had opened up in Brentwood. The lotus leaf wrapped sticky rice was excellent. For some of the others such as shrimp har gow and potsticker the skin was thicker than I prefer, but certainly taste treat.

The least favorite we had was the XXL. The shrimp dim sum, taro, and BBQ buns are our favorites. My daughter loves the red bean sesame of course. It can get expensive very quickly so we are very selective of what we get and only pieces we know we will eat for sure.

I’ve been eating Dim Sum since the 50’s and have enjoyed many wonderful places such as Mayflower, Koi Palace, Yank Sing,… Basket can’t compete with these larger places as their menu is smaller but the quality and flavor is very comparable. It’s great to not have to drive a distance for good dim sum. These are small portion dishes of filled wrappings originally steamed but now includes baked and deep fried versions. Normally eaten with good dark Chinese tea like oolong or Bo lay aka Pu’erh. Don’t miss out if you’ve never had Dim Sum. The traditional really good ones are siu mei, har gow, and char siu bao.

Tried this for lunch for the first time. No line at 11 a.m. on a Wednesday, so we were able to ask a lot of questions. The items were all ready to box up. They were hot and tasty. Most dishes have pork in them. Orders are all to-go, but the shopping center has several outdoor tables nearby. Prices seemed reasonable - most single items were under $2 each. Enjoyed the milk custard bun (sweet). Would go back on a weekend to try the pineapple custard bun.

SO happy to have a local to-go dim sum place near us! We havent tried all of the options yet, but we are looking forward to doing so. Siu mai (pork dumpling) was very authentic (although we havent tried the quail egg one yet), Lo bak goh (turnip cake) is also very fresh and tasty. Ha gow (shrimp dumpling) was good but a bit underwhelming (needs more oomph?), Cha siu bau (baked BBQ pork bun) is tasty and not skimpy on the meat. Lychee tea and hot HK style milk tea are both yummy! Cant wait to try more! Definitely go early as they run out of popular items since it is fresh-madeAlso customer service was wonderful!

Love the foods, pretty authentic, good quality and ShuMai is 2x size of those at DimSum restaurants. Pineapple buns are mouth-watering.Prices are reasonable, and definitely lower than restaurants like May Flowers.Relocated from Bay Area, very happy to have this authentic dim sum place in Brentwood.

This place is absolutely amazing! I haven’t had such good dim sum in a very long time. Their bbq pork buns and pastries are fantastic. I loved them so much I bought some for my picky family and they loved it too! So far I haven’t been dissatisfied with any of their food and I have tried most of the menu! It says all over the restaurant that it is a soft opening so make sure you come early before they run out of anything! Their hours also fit them perfectly since they are more like a bakery than a normal restaurant. As I write this their are two negative reviews that ignore both of these facts so I would advise anyone to disregard any negativity you read and give this place a try!

Standard dim sum fare at reasonable prices for the area. Most items have pork or lard in them so something to consider. They also tend to run out of items later in the day along with their sauces/chili oil. Convenient for pickup of a few snack items when out and about and hungry.

Love supporting local . So i met one of the owners a man probably the age of one of my kids . He and his cousin own this place and alot of LOVE comes from the kitchen .. his mom and dad are the chefs and this is why they close early .. mom and dad are e older and work everyday the stores open so evenings and nights off is family and rest time .MY FAVORITE 😍 the sesame balls feels like a dessert grandkids and husband loved all anything with meat or veggies was a hit not one thing was leftover . So don’t over order you just need a few pieces each per person and fresh is best .. you will be back i promise . Thank you and WELCOME to Brentwood

Went 2 days in a row. The shrimp dumpling ( har gow) & pork dumpli ng( siu mai) were tasty. The egg tart had a nice flaky crust - just perfect. The baked pork tart or bun was baked in a flaky pastry crust & had the Bar Be Que pork ( Char siu) inside. They do run out of items occasionally.. Everything seems freshly made. Tastes like the Dim Sum I use to get in SF Chinatown. So happy they are in Brentwood. Also, only take -out.

Heard about this new dim sum take out restaurant and had to give it a try and I ordered some buns, and various items off the dim sum menu. Comparing to many dim sum restaurants in the Bay Area, I rate the items I tried to be average. Born in SF and raised in there I have had my share of good and bad Chinese restaurants in this area and also in cities of LA, New York, Seattle, Portland, Vancouver BC and in Hong Kong. There are better dim sum elsewhere. If anyone wants some recommendations to dim sum eateries, I can provide some places outside of Tri-County area. However, this is the first dim sum take out in this Tri-County area so it would be considered the best because there is no other dim sum restaurant in the area.

Love this place so much, give us an easy access to good dimsum, even though some of it not to my taste, its like a hit or miss.. but when its does.. its really good.. the best so far in the area, like Shumai, lotus wrap, fried pork mochi, and their BBQ pork bun (steam and bake) is the best in Brentwood! It taste just like the one chinatown.

Walked in, waited in line behind 1 other person. Then get called over to make my order - but wait, they literally only have two pineapple buns and a few quail egg shumai left.
