Din Ho Chinese Cuisine in Lake Forest

The Irvine location is a shared space with multiple food establishments. It is To Go only.The food was good but way too salty. I ordered my food through Too Good To Go so, the price was very reasonable for the amount of food given. Based on the prices I saw, even at regular prices it seems like a petty good value.It looks like this place has a regular restaurant in Lake Forest. I will likely try then again so, yes, I recommend this place.

I really enjoyed their chicken chow mein. I also had the plain fried rice which was only $2.50, egg drop soup and fried wontons, which came with my lunch and they were all yummy, as well. The wontons were served with sweet-and-sour sauce, and the sauce had a nice little kick, but not too much of a nice little kick. I usually don’t like those little kicks, but this time it was really good and I even ordered extra and added some to my fried rice. I dipped my fried wontons in the sweet-and-sour sauce, too, and that tasted really good! The egg drop soup was filling and flavorful, as well. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was more attractive than most Chinese restaurants I’ve been to.

It was a great restaurant! I would recommend this place.The place clean, organized, and the atmosphere was quite. We ate there on a Thursday around 4:30 pm. Place was not busy at all.Our waiter was very honey, friendly, professional, and funny. He made us laugh quite a few times. He made us feel very welcome.The food was also really good. Even though they gave us some soup on the house (Don’t remember what kind) but I couldn’t eat, I did not like. But it was just a personal preference, my wife and her friend loved it.The other plates were awesome. My deluxe fried rice came with chicken, shrimp, and beef. It was delicious.We enjoyed our time there, the waiter was very attentive.The restaurant it’s located in a plaza on Trabuco Rd and Lake Forest Dr. Very convenient.And you get fortune cookies and regular delicious cookies at the end.

This was once the best Chinese Food around.The ownership changed and so do the quality of the food.It is now the worst in the area.So sad that a great restaurant my family went to at least once a week now, I wouldn’t eat their food if they gave it to me for free.

I ordered foods for my Chinese friends and American friends. Apparently nonee of them liked any food. Both very different compared with restaurants for Americans and those restaurants serve authentic foods. Will not recommend anything here

Ordered lunch portion. Couldnt eat the soup it was so unsavory and plain and had an off flavor. The egg roll tastes like it was inside the back of your freezer for a year then microwaved. The little crispy wonton was stale. The rice was mealy and a tad mushy. The orange chicken was covered in a bright red sugary sauce and the cheapest cuts of meat were used the fatty thigh and there were a few bits of the cartilage inside. Overall Im still hungry and I feel slightly nauseous. I would pay more rather than $11 if the quality was a bit better. Hard to get good food in these areas. Inflation and need for speedy food has ruined local quisine.

Other than the Garlic chicken everything tasted not good. The deluxe fried rice was so blande, the pupu platter was not that good as well. I had so high expectation with this restaurant and when I actually got here it was so disappointing. Uncle Roger would be disappointed with how the fried rice turned out to be.

Food is still horrible as it was last we tried it years ago…. Come on make your food better you call CRAB RANGOONS CRAB WONTONS??? You guys need to get it together…

I dined here about a year ago and was thoroughly disappointed with all the food especially the Orange chicken. My gps led me here today as the closest Chinese food place and bad memories resurfaced. I did decide to give them a another chance at the Orange chicken and egg flower soup. Unfortunately I was disappointed, again. The chicken was not good at all and did not taste fresh. Actually, it tastes refried and over sauced. The egg flower soup smelled like urine and I was scared to even eat it, so I dumped it before I was able to take a photo for the review. I just wish the food was as good as some reviews for this place make it out to be.Two stars only because the guy who took my order was nice, and checkout was quick. This is my second time visiting this place and there won’t be a third.Super nice staff though. The other reviews are 100% right about that.

Overall the food experience is quite good, Mongolian Beef is spicy, kung Pau chicken is tasty and service is quick. I was a little concerned about the sanitation here as onions were being stored by the hot water boiler and soy sauce containers were littered outside of the restaurant.
