I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the Italian restaurant DiNapoli’s Firehouse. I stopped there in middle pf a road trip between Joshua Tree National Park and Death Valley. The staff was super nice (they brought a slice of desert with candle for my b’day and sang happy b’day). The food was good but nothing out of the ordinary. The decoration inside is like a « fancy » diner.

I travel quite a bit and have eaten italian food in many places, except Italy :-). The food here is very good but more than that it is very cozy and it has a great family atmosphere. I had the linguine in clam sauce, I added shrimp and it was fantastic.

Nice place for a good meal. On the road for 14 hours and glad we stopped. Great staff, good food and prices. Every staff member was friendly and welcoming. The food was good quality, hot and full of flavour. Good for all ages.

You have to look for it behind the gas station but, like most gems, theyre not easy to find.If youre at all interested in fire stations, fighters etc, youll love the memorabilia and atmosphere.The food and service is excellent.

We had a large group of 15 for a birthday celebration and they got our table ready quickly and in a nice area we were not crowded and the service was quick ... quick responsive to our questions and very patient she was very professional in getting our orders and bringing our orders and constantly kept every glass full before we could ask for a refill and the food was great I highly recommend this place to everyone. thank you for the experience and your beautiful personality looking forward to my next visit

The food was Amazing. I wasnt thinking of getting pizza but I asked the server what they are known for and she told me pizza. So I decided to get the alfredo pizza and realized that its amazing and one of the best pizzas ive had. The chicken parmigiana and meatball, and italian soda were also really good. The tomato thing was pretty good, I feel the ranch and especially the cheese made it better. But it was not as good as the rest of the food.

First thing first, customer service is outstanding. The waitress was very very friendly, patient, and was taking time to explain different options and gave me some recommendations, the food came by fast, portions are pretty good, the food tastes awesome, prices are cheap and the whole restaurant vibes are lit, I’ve been twice and it’s been always empty, the setup is very interesting, the colors are relaxing and the menu has plenty of options, as well as the beer and drinks options, the tiramisu was lit!

My man and I were really excited to try out this Italian restaurant for dinner, I ordered the eggplant parmigiano and he ordered the calzone. Both of us receiving food poisoning. I couldnt get to work the next day. If you have any kind of standards, Please avoid this establishment unless you plan on being sick. Never eating here again.

What a gem! A super cute place for a stop on your way. Its very easy to feel that everything designed with thinking. The food is great and feels like a home made. Really recommend this place and both adults and kids will find few great items on the menu. I will definitely stop there again on my way. Enjoy.

Went here with our family of 5, we were seated right away in a large booth. Our waitress was so friendly from the beginning, my 4yr old kept asking her questions and she didn’t mind at all nor looked irritated, kept answering her with a smile, even laughed at her silly jokes.We ordered, didn’t wait long for our food at all, got a lb of teriyaki chicken wings for appetizer👌🏼I ordered shrimp primavera, 7 & 4 yrs old got mac n cheese and chicken tenders w/fries, our 12 yr old got spaghetti n meatballs and my husband got the Firehouse tour.Overall, so glad we found a spot in Barstow that we like that actually serves good food and provides great service. The shrimp primavera was so beautiful and tasted even better👌🏼will try the pizzas next time. Go here and you won’t be disappointed! Their take out containers are so cute too☺️

My son and I visited this spot after we spent the afternoon at Calico Ghost Town. The pizza here was delicious. Jalapeno Poppers were sooo good. Our waitress was an absolute sweetheart. We were impressed. If you want good food in a nice atmosphere to sit in, then you should plan your lunch or dinner at the firehouse. 👍👌

One of the few non fast food places in Barstow. Unfortunately the night I went the bar was closed for a private event. So I grabbed a booth. Ordered the lasagna. Was pretty good. Nice serving size. The beer selection is bottles only and not that wide of a variety. Service was good. Friendly and quick.

Did not know what to expect because from the pictures it looks like a bar with a bunch of junk in it. Its actually pretty cool place. Went on a monday night. Lots of interesting history items all over. We had No wait and the place was really quite. Food was really good. Bruchetta had a lot of garlic, like that. Cesar salad and garlic bread was good. Pasta and raviolis had a lot of flavor . I would go there again as there many is huge and there is so many other items i want to try.

We have been going to Dinapoli’s for years and have been well pleased until today. Our take out order was terrible, my wife’s anti pasta salad had very little meat and my New York Italian combo sandwich was made on stale bread . I mean hard stale bread! This is the best restaurant in Barstow for anything Italian such as pizza, pasta and subs. Their pizzas are always top notch with their interesting combinations of meats and veggies. I recommend the Godfather, which is my ultimate favorite pizza from this restaurant. I also recommend their fettuccine Alfredo and spaghetti with meat sauce as options for pasta. And if you like calamari, this place has among the best calamari I’ve ever had. Definitely worth the money, and I would recommend this place for anyone who wants Italian food without having to drive far.

We went for National Pizza Day and got 10% off our ticket! We did a make your own pizza with olives, tomatoes, artichoke, garlic, mushroom, and jalapeños. Weve been cutting back on our meat consumption, and with all the flavor in this pizza, we didnt miss the meat at all. I thought the Italian doughnut desert was pleasant, but Boyfriend didnt like the dough it was made of. We had a friendly waitress; the only issue was she didnt keep our waters full, even when we asked for refills.

My first time coming here. It was a slow day. Our server Mia was amazing. Two of us showed up before our third and she got us drinks and made sure we were ok while waiting. The food is bad American Italian. The homemade Italian dressing is a tomato sauce. They dont have a balsamic dressing. I ordered the vegetarian pizza, not realizing the vegetables would come raw. I am extremely disappointed considering the high reviews. Obviously, no one here has ever traveled to Italy or eaten true Italian food or pizza.

Super disappointed. We researched this place for a stop on our way to Palm Springs. Specifically ordered a dark rum and diet and said not spiced. I got spiced. Ordered Scampi pasta, it’s not. Just pasta with 31/40 white shrimp. It was supposed to come with salad that I ordered with blue cheese dressing. Never got it. Also supposed to get garlic bread. Nope, never got it. I also ordered side of Italian Sausage. Found out when my pasta was delivered that they were out of it. Yikes. A lot of fails for a table of 2. I paid full price for everything other than the messed up rum order. Disappointed to say the least.

And we were glad we did!Some of us had pizza, of various kinds, which was up there with the best weve had - fresh toppings, good crust, delicious sauce. A few of us had Alfredo, and it was also as good as weve had - creamy and flavorful.If there were any issues to bring a Google 5 star rating down to maybe 4.7, it would be that the spaghetti was just fine (though, is spaghetti really ever amazing?), or that the chicken parmesan - which tasted good - would be better as a single, larger breast, instead of two thin ones.The staff were all very kind, and the restaurant was clean with fun decor and atmosphere. I hope we find ourselves there again on a future trip.

We stopped at this place while on a road trip and we really liked it. The XL pizza is huge though! I thought the other portions were also big but that depends on the person, as other members of my party didn’t. My cutlery was dirty, but the waitress outside of getting my order never came back until ready to drop the food off at the table and then sped off. This place is my favorite restaurant to go to for Italian food! Very nice personnel. Very friendly and happy staff. Seating available at tables or booths. I prefer the booths when on a date. Its very cozy and warm and romantic. There is a bar and the drinks are amazing. When you first walk in there is their signature fire truck right in the middle of the restaurant! The food was still good but the service was terrible. My wife and I felt like we were inconvenient, unwelcome guests. Let me start with we entered this place at closing 858 pm- we werent going to eat as I hate to be that person who goes in at closing and orders food- however the staff gladly sat us and reassured us that it was fine for us to come in and took care of us.Second the food was awesome! We got mozzarella sticks and pizza. The mozzarella sticks had a light batter that was crunchy and the cheese was stringy and done all the way through. The marinara sauce has a nice rich flavor! As for the pizza it was cooked great, crispy crust with lots of toppings! They do not skimp on the toppings at all! The pepperoni was very flavorful and spicy! Like it should be! There has already been instances of the same occurrence with one of my coworkers. After reading all of the reviews of this place my husband and I were very excited to come here. If I were only judging the food and atmosphere it would hands down be 5 stars. My problem was with the employees. Never have I been treated as such an inconvenience while dining at a restaurant. Upon entering there were 3 employees standing by the entrance chatting. They all looked at my husband and I walking in and moved into a back room to finish their conversation before acknowledging us. They then asked if we would like a booth or table and we prefer a booths when available. With a snotty look on her face the waitress said she needed to wipe it down first which we had no problem with. Once being seated we waited upwards of 15 minutes just to order our drinks. Though our waitress had walked past us 3 times to check on the table beside us during said time. (We werent aware at the time this was our waitress or we would have spoke up). Once we got our drinks they were never filled unless requested... when we could get our waitresses attention that is. Usually if a place is busy I can forgive the waitress not stopping by too often, but this place was not busy at all. It seemed like the workers would have rather sat and chatted than do their job. Our waitress was very short and rude and would give nasty looks if we asked for anything. Unfortunately we did not catch her name. We have no complaints of the food and the place looked very nice. But employees need to be retrained on proper customer service.

As we passed through Barstow I decided to stop in at this well reviewed Italian place. I tried the tour of Firehouse. Their red sauce is spectacular and the Alfredo was also tasty. Tbh my only nitpick would be that neither my chicky chicky parm parm or my lasagna was very warm. Still ate it, still delicious.

Service was horrible, food was horrible, checkout was horrible!!! I dont see us ever coming back. While the look of this place is amazing, the experience quickly took away from that. It took forever to get our food, and when we finally got it, not only did the food not taste good, it was missing things that were suppose to come with it. We had to ask for the missing item and then wait forever to get them. My boyfriends food wss so bad he didnt eat any beyond the first bite, but did the waitress offer him something else or to take it off the bill? Nope she appeared to not even notice. They were running a drink special where you got 2 drinks for 7 bucks. We only ordered one drink and were charged 8 dollars for it. We were never told about the special or that we would pay more of we only ordered one. I didnt see the deal until we were checking out, and when I bright that and my boyfriend military status to her attention she told me it was too late she was already running the card. This place has high ratings on yelp which is why we picked it. Unfortunately its probably just the locals boosting them up. It was a big let down for us.

Met with a large group of colleagues from work. Food was great, as usual, and the service was outstanding! Most polite and genuinely enthusiastic server I have encountered in a very long time. Thanks for the enjoyable experience.
