2024-06-29 21:03:29On our way to Lake Tahoe, my family and I stumbled upon Doma Korean Restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed and accommodated with great hospitality. The meal began with an array of fresh and delicious side dishes, which to our surprise offered unlimited refills. Among the side dishes, the cucumber kimchi and mayo noodle salad stood out as my personal favorites. Each bite was a perfect blend of flavors and textures.I then ordered bossam. The pork was buttery soft and paired perfectly with the cabbage and spicy radish salad. The dish also came with garlic, jalapeño, and some spicy sauce which was incredibly delicious. The staffs friendliness added to the experience. At the end of our meal, we were treated to free plum iced tea, a refreshing way to finish our meal. I would like to make a special mention to our server, Stella, who was so kind and polite. She patiently answered all my questions about the dishes on the menu. I had little knowledge about Korean food, so it was nice for her to educate me on it. The service really made our meal more enjoyable.Overall, I was sincerely delighted eating at Doma. The combination of delicious food, generous portions, and outstanding service made it a fond and truly memorable dining experience. Highly recommend!

2024-06-12 21:06:41They had really good bimbim guksu... One of my favorite Korean dishes. This cold, vegetarian Korean noodle dish is not always easy to find. They did a great job with right amount of side dishes. And the lunch price was $9.99! Other lunch prices were really reasonable such as bulgogi for $16.99. Service was fast, attentive and the restaurant was clean and newly renovated. Will definitely be back!

2024-06-08 18:54:00Having lived in the Bay and spent a lot of time in LAs Koreatown, this is one of the best spots for authentic Korean food in the Sacramento area. Not only that but the staff and service is awesome. The banchan (side dishes) were very good and we got refills on any one we wanted. We got the haemul jeongol (seafood hotpot) and the haemul pajeon (seafood pancake)- very generous portions and a lot of fresh seafood for a reasonable price. Huge bonus that this is a local family owned restaurant. Doma will for sure be my go to Korean food spot from now on.

2024-06-14 12:26:16Heard from word of mouth that a new Korean restaurant has opened. So we went to check it out. It’s a family owned business. Staff is friendly and genuinely wants to help. I recommend the kalbi (Korean bbq rib) for the first timer. After that, try the tofu soup. It’s competes a classic home cook meal. From there, can explore the seafood pancake and seafood hotpot. The plum ice tea is a pleasant surprise. It’s a perfect balance of sweetness with a hint of plum. Everyone in our party loves it.When customizing the spicy level of the food, please remember this is a Korean restaurant. So their mildly spicy is probably equivalent of moderate spicy for most Americans.Overall ambience is friendly, reminds me of the TV sitcom Cheers. Parking is ample. Lots of vegetarian options. The small dishes that are served with meals are just awesome. Would definitely come back for more.

2024-06-18 05:31:16I wanted to share my unique experience: I came in at the end of my work day, with a slight asthmatic cough. I was dog tired and just wanted a hot soup to take home. I was afraid people would think I was sick, or judge me for not being able to eat spicy food. But I was instantly greeted and made to feel at home by their warm staff. This is actually my second visit, and they completely remembered all of my preferences from my first visit. They noticed my cough, and offered me mildly warm tea (they remembered I can’t do piping hot or cold) and remembered the side dishes I liked most, and even that I was vegetarian! I felt really bad but asked for something non spicy as to not irritate my throat, and their kind waitress immediately knew what to recommend and double checked how I’d like to customize my meal (she guessed everything right!). There was no judgement, and customer service was absolutely above and beyond.I definitely recommend this restaurant. Clean and calm ambiance, immediate individual attention, and warm friendly staff all around. AMAZING food (goes without saying!). Big appetizer, soup, meat, noodles, rice, drinks, etc selection. Not sure if I saw this wrong, but lunch specials are only $9.99..!? (You can’t get that price anywhere.. even fast food!) I also saw a few families enjoying their meals, including one family who was sitting outside with their dog. Pet-friendly bonus :)Stellar food + great service = ULTIMATE experience. Thank you, Doma, for taking care of me today.

2024-06-07 05:18:31After Hankook changed ownership and became Doma, there was a significant decline in the quality and amount of food served. We could barely finish the sides given because the overall taste of the food was not good. We ordered tteokbokki, vegetable soup and pan fried dumplings. The tteokbokki was overcooked, and the sauce was incredibly dark in comparison to what we were served consistently better at Hankook. It tasted more peppercorn spicy than chili paste spicy and did not have onions or carrots. The soup was the same as the tteokbokki, more peppercorn spicy and noticeably oilier than what I was served previously. They also gave us significantly less rice with our soup as well. The only food we did enjoy was the pan-fried dumplings. We didn’t finish any main dish other than the dumplings. As guests walked in wondering what happened to Hankook, they said it was exactly the same just with a few added menu items. Not true and there was a price increase, decrease in customer service and atmosphere. Not to mention they were playing loud music over the speaker. We left unsatisfied and extremely disappointed. Sorry, but we won’t be coming back. The picture with the dumplings is Doma, the one without is Hankook.

2024-06-08 04:13:05WOWWW!!! My friend told me about this new Korean Restaurant that recently opened on Folsom Blvd, so I went and got a to-go order of Seafood Bibimbap! Bibimbap has always been my go-to order at Korean restaurants, but Domas Seafood Bibimbap is by far THE BESTTTT!!! All the veggies and seafood in there were so FRESH and YUMMYY! I had to share it with my family when I got home, and they all LOVED ITTTT! I will be bringing my entire family and friends soon to dine in! Service was so friendly and generous as well!! Proud to say Doma will be our new favorite go-to Korean food spot now!!!

2024-06-10 00:38:25Being a Korean myself, I have set standards when it comes to Korean restaurants. I check for the vibe, service, and most importantly, the taste. Doma hits on all those things!Right when I entered the restaurant, everything just felt right. The interior of the restaurant is very clean and traditional. They have many side dishes (banchan) that really embodies the plentiful nature of the Korean cuisine. I felt like I was back in Korea. With super friendly service and great tasting entrees, I enjoyed every minute dining at Doma. I highly recommend trying their Galbijjim and Samgyetang. Being overseas away from home has been difficult because I can’t have good Korean food. Doma made it much bearable for my stay in the US. I will be coming back for more!
