Best tempura around. Best teriyaki sauce. Great rolls and chicken bowls. My favorite Japanese place. Not open on Sundays. I love this place. The owner lady is so sweet. Whenever I want good Japanese, I come here. It hits the spot every time.

Found this little place across the street from MT.SAC. It was hard to get to with the GPS (took me around in circles).Its a really small space, that looks like a food-to-go, but it also has chairs and tables for dining in. There is a sushi bar as well.It looks like its family owned, with an elderly couple running the restaurant. Food is pretty Americanized, but also still somehow authentic. Decor wise, it doesnt look like theyve changed it since they opened, giving it that homely feeling.The food itself was pretty good, and decently priced.There is no public bathroom though.

Awful. First of all the waitress brought us delicious miso soup that we didnt even ask for. Then the rolls came out so quickly that we didnt even have time to complain about how long the food was taking. On top of all that, the food was way too fresh and exquisite for our taste. And the waitress even had the nerve to be friendly and accommodating, bringing us everything we asked for with a smile on her face. Absolutely horrific experience, and we cant wait to have it again❤

The food was great! I had the tempura udon and it had perfectly crispy shrimp with a nice broth. The people running it were also very nice and the woman serving us was great! She talked with me and was pretty engaging as a business owner.

The service and food are always great!!! Their Udon is tasty and is served in a huge bowl. The tempura is made perfectly. After trying other places I always come back here. Even their water is great!!!

The workers were friendly. The food was plenty but bland. My main issue was the beef. The beef had a strong odor and tasted gamey (strong). I was unable to eat it.

We use to love going there, the food and the service was great. But the last few times, the waitress there (which my understanding) is the owners wife is incredibly rude, short and disrespectful. Its sad, because you want to support small local businesses, but this definitely is a no go no more.

Rush after work to get here after looking on Google domo sushi & roll closes at 8pm. I got here at 725pm door where unlock people where eating inside. As I walk in the lady behind the counter immediately said were close sorry. What a waste of time

Best sushi I have had. Literally a mom and pop restaurant only saw two people working our server and the chef making the sushi. Definatly coming back here. There was 4 of us and Bill was $120 well worth it.

The waiter(older lady) which I believe is owner’s wife is very rude. I was ordering my food and I got California rolls bc I’m not the biggest sushi fan, and she looked at my sister and said sarcastically you too California rolls. My sister said no, and she ordered what she wanted. I also ordered a coke and my sister ordered a water. Then she said “miso soup?” It was my sister and I’s first time there so we said I am sorry what? Then she said “miso soup free free”. Then she walked off, so I assumed she was going to bring us the miso soup. In conclusion, she never brought my coke or the miso soup for us. I saw her bring miso soup to all the other tables around us, so I was confused why she didn’t bring it to us. She never asked us for refills or anything. Then this lady has the audacity to give my the bill with a coke on it. I told her politely I never got the coke, and she said okay. Not even a I am sorry I forgot it. Nothing. Then I told her as I was about to pay excuse me is there a reason I didn’t get miso soup, and she said “you don’t want it” in a defensive way. I told her “you just said miso soup free free”. Then she said well you want it now in a rude way. I said no. Then I paid my bill and did not leave a tip. Horrible service by the waiter. First time there and she was rude. I have been a server for 5 years, so I know how it is to be a server. Never going back.

Small family-owned and run Japanese restaurant across the street from Mt. SAC College. Plate meals are very reasonable, good deal for students. Sushi is more expensive, although not unreasonable. They use wild-caught salmon for the sushi. Very unusual, premium stuff! Great service.

Take my word with a grain of salt, if you please; most of those who know me personally would confirm the notoriety of my obnoxiously low standards.That said, the food there is pretty good, and the prices are ok. Keep in mind that this is a sushi place and sushi aint cheap. Theres a decent selection available, so do please peruse the menu when you dine.On the other hand, if you want to use the bathroom here, you need to be paying for something. Id rather this be the policy than someone goes out of their way to annihilate the plumbing.

Got the dragon roll to go. The lady who took my order was very sweet and helped me decide my food. The roll is basically a California roll with unagi on top. It was a pretty big size too. It did not take long for them to make it as well.

Ive been coming to Dumo for a long time and its one of my favorite sushi spots to order carry out. I call my order in and it done in 15-20mins. The portions are great and the staff is friendly. Highly recommend this sushi spot for anyone thats in the area 👍🏼👍🏼

Domo Sushi is truly a moms and paps restaurant that makes some of the best food in town period! I order food at minimum once a week at Domo and everytime I enjoy it so much. The quality, texture, and the portion of their food is second to none. My personal favorite that I always order at Domo is called the Happy Box. It comes with miso soup, salad, 6 pieces of sushi, 4 tempura (1 shrimp,1cucumber,1 potatoe,1 unknown) and teriyaki chicken with rice. A HUGE portion for only $16 and some change after tax. Happy Box highly recommended. It makes me happy everytime I order the Happy Box.

The spicy chicken bowl is a joke its literally chicken and rice with teriyaki but for the spicy part they add chilli sauce.. the dumplings are terrible too. Its obvious that they were frozen and they just throw them in the deep frier. (If anything just ignore those two dishes)

I love this place. My family and I have been coming here since the 1st owner opened it. Always great sushi and my favorite has always been their perfectly crisp shrimp tempura that Ill get in the Bento Box, the crunch roll, or as a separate order. The service is friendly, quick, and attentive. Must try if you havent done so yet.
