Really good fried chicken. Doesn’t look special but is delicious. Light crunchy on the outside and juicy in the inside. Wish I ordered more wings… probably one of my favorite in my travels.

Exceptional service and great food!Ordered their Special Don and Soy sauce flavored wings and they were both amazing. The chicken meat was juicy, and thin crust around it was nicely glazed and fried to perfection.Definitely recommend this place for anyone craving some authentic Korean fried chicken.Will definitely be back for more to try their other options!

My husband and I are from the East Coast and we’ve been looking for a Korean fried chicken spot in San diego. We are so happy we finally found one in Encinitas!! This place is so good - we got the spicy oven baked and the special sauce fried chicken. I knew this place would be good because I’ve had the Don Chicken from New Jersey. It lived up to the hype. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Really good fried chicken, Korean approved. If you live around the area this is a must try place. Honestly it’s much better than most of the Korean fried chicken in SD and it’s definitely in top 3. I don’t live in the area but I’ll definitely come back for their fried chicken.

Ive lived in South Korea across the years and this little chicken place right here in Encinitas serves chicken better than most Ive had in South Korea itself. Highly recommend their special sauce chicken, for spicy and non-spicy lovers both. Its so flavorful.

Don Chicken stands above other chicken businesses. All of my choices so far have been well seasoned and/or marinated. Additionally, everything has been prepared fresh when ordered. Hospitality, food taste, and quality are all top notch. Any food establishment that is consistent in those categories will experience long term success.

I am *so* happy that Don Chicken opened up shop in Encinitas! We need more authentic Asian food around here! :) To sum it up, they have the best Korean Chicken Wings in San Diego. Weve only done take out but every interaction weve had with the owner/staff have always been pleasant. They are so nice and helpful! I highly recommend ordering from them for lunch or dinner!

What a hidden gem! Korean fried chicken!Came here for quick rub one night, and the food did not disappoint. Looks like this restaurant just opened recently and we wanted to try it out. The place is super clean and is a nice fast casual place. You can do takeout or sit down to eat.We ordered two different kind of chicken to share. The Don fried chicken wings was really good, very tender. The oven baked and then fried chicken with no batter was interesting, although I definitely prefer the regular fried chicken better.Very nice friendly service, very cute mom and pops restaurant. Definitely support your local small business!

These arent tiny chicken pieces. You get your bucks worth here.And dont let the menu intimidate you (theyre working on changing the menu up to be more clear and consice). Everything we tried was top-notch.The dad and son sitting next to us each got the chicken sandwich combo, and their sandwiches looked huge. At the end of the meal, I asked the dad how it went, and he said he was stuffed, and thats hard to do, cause hes a good eater.The oven baked chicken with the honey spicy sauce, hands down the winner. Treat yo self to this experience. The manager said there are 300 plus stores in Korea and lots in Vietnam and China. Cant wait to try other sauces from their selection.

Amazing chicken. Arguably the best chicken in all of north county. Wayyyyy better roasted chicken than Chicks. It was moist and crispy at the same time. Great customer service !!

Very good food. Got half and half (dont remember flavor names but got soy and some type of sweet marinade) with fries. The fries were perfect and the chicken was perfectly cooked. The marination and the crispiness was really good. The chicken pieces werent that big so half might be enough for 1 person. Service was great and there was a mini trash can to put bones with.

This small business has the best balance of crunch coating on the outside and tender, moist chicken meat on the inside.If you order the non-breaded and oven baked chicken they are succulent and full of different flavor options for the traditional to non-traditional styles, and for those who appreciate extremely spicy foods.The order comes with a complimentary refreshing pickled radishes that have a nice crunch that taste homemade.I like that their coleslaw which is light tasting to balance out the meat entree.Don Chicken has the “A game” for finger licking chicken.

Great spot for authentic korean fried chicken. Had the regular and special sauce fried chicken and they were delicious. The radishes that come with the dish were the best I had so far in San Diego. The owner and staff were welcoming and nice to chat with too. I’ll definitely be going back.

We were greeted immediately as soon as we walked in by the lovely employees who were more than helpful. I ordered half fried chicken with Dons sauce and half oven baked chicken with spicy sauce. Both were really flavorful and wed definitely order them again. There are several other flavors Id really enjoy trying again soon. We also ordered some fries which were hot and crispy but not as special as the chicken. Go support this great local restaurant.

I am one of those who takes a long time deciding where to eat, today we wanted chicken, lets think it was a Latino place because of the name, Don, and when I arrived I realized it was Korean, the best thing I didnt think was so rich and too juicy Super friendly owner and I live in Texas so I dont know when I can return to this restaurant but highly recommended :)
