2023-10-24 20:20:44Since we are not familiar with Hunan, the waitress explained in detail those we have ordered. All dishes are very delicious. I cant stop eating even though i am already full--a first for me. The cold chicken with chili sauce was ordered to be less spicy. It is perfect to our taste. The chow mien is fresh and was told the noodle is home made. The broccoli chicken is also delicious and neither spicy nor salty. Lastly, the roasted duck is soft and juicy on top of halfy cooked cabbage. Its sauce is yummy, a perfect match to the duck.Definitely, we will return each time we are in Thousand Oaks. Good thing our hotel Hampton Inn by Hilton is a walking distance to this restaurant.

2023-10-12 19:36:42Very good Chinese food, had the lamb, something I forget. Not super greasy, no thickeners or sugar. Just good fresh food, keto friendly too, lots of meat and filling. They got pu-erh, first time I see this tea in America, very popular Chinese tea in Russia. Definitely recommend this place.

2023-05-14 06:03:17Ordered for both dine in and takeout service was really fast for both. The food is so delicious made to order so it is always hot and full of flavor. This is a local favorite of mine since 2019 since my friend brought me here and he mentioned that the food reminded him of home. They are so kind and they give you plenty of time to decide and don’t badger you with needing anything.

2023-07-02 03:46:41The food is very good. But my experience in hospitality was very cold. My waitress handed me a tablet to place my order. I said thank you and she gave no response. I placed my order and she brought us our food and set it on our table without saying anything. When were halfway through our meal and our drinks were 75% empty, she did not bother filling them up or asking us if we want any more to drink. The place was only half filled. When we finished our meals, I had to ask for a refill as she kept on ignoring us. She handed us our check after refilling our water I said thank you and she had no response again. This is the first time in a very long time that I did not leave tip. The feeling I got was if youre not Asian they do not want your business. we were the only non-Asian couple in the restaurant and it was half full. customers around us were very polite and nice. I feel if you own a business that caters to the public you should respect everyone regardless of nationality. I would only order food to go as its very good.My follow up to their response. Im sad that this company gives a generic response too reviews. When you have a legitimate complaint. Instead of a genuine response that would show that they care about their customers in the community that they serve. It shows a lack of professionalism in the restaurant business. As eating out prices increase companies like this will get weeded out and only the good ones will stay.

2023-09-06 22:50:30Stayed at the Hampton Inn next door and decided to get some food one evening. Their veggie selections are extremely well cooked and seasoned, leading us to order twice more during our stay (giving up our visit to In and Out). Highly recommend the food, ordering was simple, and time for pickup was accurate.

2022-04-07 03:42:38Over expectations, under performance. Service was less than inattentive. Had to ask to order, ask for takeaway boxes, never got water refill, or an interim hows everything?. Nothing. The food ranged from poor to passable. The kung pao chicken was lots of onions, bell peppers, and dark meat filled with joint cartilage and tendons. The taste was mainly vinegar. The mapo tofu was ok seasoned with hua jiao, but not much else (no minced pork). The wild chili beef was the best (although my wife didnt care for the flavor). The server asked if I wanted it hot (which I do), but everything was fairly bland.Prices were on the high side, but the portions were large. Thats great for leftovers, unless you dont want to eat it again.

2023-08-17 16:11:57On a Scale of 1-10, 10 being fantastic, this place deserves a 1. The food was tasty, but very, VERY UNFRESH and TOUGH AS LEATHER.The owner has obviously chosen to serve STALE AND UN-FRESH FOOD, disguising it as fresh by using nicely seasoned and tasty sauces. But, when the meat is tougher than leather, you can obviously see what theyre up to: DONT THROW AWAY OLD, STALE FOOD. JUST DOCTOR IT UP WITH FRESH AND TASTY SAUCE AND HOPE THE CUSTOMER DOESNT NOTICE!In our case, we ordered 3 dishes and returned one because the meat was so tough, it was impossible to chew without an Electric Saw! The 2nd dish was also not that fresh, but we toughed it out and ate it, nonetheless. The 3rd Dish was OK [Sweet / Sour Fish].All in all, while the food tasted OK, it definitely was NOT fresh. This owner needs to stop serving OLD FOOD to CUSTOMERS who DESERVE QUALITY, FRESH FOOD. After all ~ thats what youre paying for, right?
