I ordered 1 steak, 1 pork, 1 chicken, 1 cheese enchilada with red sauce and double rice. Food was prepared and served perfectly. Great taste excellent food, missing a hint of the New Mexico hatch chili heat. Otherwise perfect. Fair price, excellent portions. I had 2 dinner plates fyi. Only missing item in my opinion is lack of kokopelli decor - for New Mexican Authenticity

Dos is worth a try if you haven’t!! Most people I know refer to it as a texmex style. Unique flavors. The picture is of the Yucatán chicken salad. It is amazing and very big! The staff are always great at both Davis locations. I also recommend the Santa Fe nachos! I am in love with the chipotle bbq sauce. I always ask for extra! Everything on the menu is great!!

There is plenty of seating. The staff is always amazing and quick. Parking may be a bit far from the entrance if you use a walker or wheelchair.

A couple nights ago I asked my husband “what’s the one restaurant you’d go to in Davis if you wanted to guarantee it would be good every time” we both agreed on Dos!They’re handling the pandemic so well! We call to order and pay on pick up, we love having it at home or at the park nearby but man do I miss the slaw and pickled veggies from the salsa bar!! I really hope that salsa bars are able to come back in a post Covid world! It was my absolute favorite!My absolute go to here is the Yolo mango burrito, recently I started swapping out the chicken for black beans! It’s super tasty this way!Occasionally I’ll literally just order the rice and beans for my lunch! $6 and I’m full!!Oh and on a day that I’m feeling really naughty I really love their chips! I like to break and dip mine in the salsa and then shove them in the burrito for a nice crunch 🤣

I had the fish tacos, the mahi mahi ones. While they werent bad, they lacked flavor a bit imo. The atmosphere was good, the servers were nice. The rest of their food is probably good. Give it a shot and see what you think.

Good creative specials that usually work out - Ive learned to avoid sweet or mayonnaise sounding sauces. Counter service is spotty at best; sometimes some dishes come 10 minutes after everyone else on your order has been served.

Manager at Davis location was very unprofessional, I ordered a chicken and rice plate, which was what I usually order from the lite menu, a lady with dark hair came at me very rudely saying we don’t sell Kids meals to adults. This was so embarrassing to be scolded in front of other people, this manager should of talked to the girl that took my order and not me as I was leaving! Also the food was terrible, overcooked and dry.

They do not fulfil delivery orders well. Their prices just went up, and there were only three pieces of meat inside their tacos. No guacamole (as described). I used to like DC, but theyre just not worth it anymore.

This review is specifically for to go orders from this location. A bunch of us wanted to come here for lunch but since there was no seating we decided to get our food to go. It took almost 30 minutes to get our food (I got a fajita salad. It was soggy/mushy and not worth the 12-13 price tag. Maybe it would taste better if you ate in, but for better to-go salads, Id stick to plutos or Jacks Urban eats.

Have been going here when I’m visiting the area for the last 20 years and the taste and quality has remained the same. It’s not “real” Mexican, but I would describe it more like Texmex - delicious nonetheless. Their salsa bar is excellent. Mahi mahi burrito is a favorite along with their chicken wet burrito.. and their salads are good with huge portions.

I havent been here for a while.I was pleasantly surprised that the burritos now have the option to order as a bowl. Easier to eat and lower calories. The bowl was good, and the portion was generous.The tortilla chips really tasted off (old oil going bad?) and left a oily feel in my mouth.I would return but not eat the chips :-(

Dos is almost always guaranteed to satisfy. The menu is thoughtful around TexMex—I usually order the paella burrito with its large sausage and prawn filling; albeit this time around I ordered the Frito pie off of their seasonal menu. Delicious!

Great place for family or meet-ups with friends, lots of tables with great atmosphere.Shrimp tacos, salmon burritos, and Mahi Mahi tacos are terrific! Fresh ingredients and made to order upon demand. Daily specials and alcohol are available. I truly enjoy this restaurant!

Ordered a spicy burrito and and barely salt and pepper. I called and kindly ask for a remake sense this was door dash order and encountered a super rude manager. He refused to remake the burrito and stated it was my problem. I gave them a 5 star the first time I tried the restaurant but now I wish I could give a zero. So unfortunate.

The day our family dropped into Dos Coyotes, The heater wasnt working. It was so cold in the restaurant that the employees were shivering. I ordered the Green Chile chicken stew, but it was extremely salty.My family enjoyed the food, but my favorite cabbage slaw has apparently been discontinued. I guess It was because it was made fresh each day and Dos Coyotes opted for premade/thus less expensive options. Overall, it could have been a better visit.

I love this place so much. Ive been going here for 10+ years (either their Roseville/Davis locations). My go to order is the Chicken Adobe salad with a wheat tortilla. Their salads are bigger than your head and so freaken good! I love their salsa bar too. I now live in Oakland, but when I come back to the area I always grab a bite here or something to go. I need to have my Dos!!

The food was good. The person who took my order was very nice. I got chicken tacos and a spinach, garlic, and cheese quesadilla with chicken. I spent about $26 on those two items plus a drink. Would I go back to this restaurant? Yeah. But I wouldnt go out of my way to go here. Its a very good restaurant though. I did enjoy it.

I love the food here, it is the only thing I crave when I leave for extended periods but my experience lately has been with my parents. It is so rare to go to any restaurants where someone will take the time to listen to 25 questions and not just listen but pay attention and treat you with patience and kindness.Thank you Mateer for being literally the best part of our day and for always being so wonderful with complicated orders and treating my parents as if they were your own. Our company spent over $600 to provide lunch for our staff of 30+. The order was not checked prior to delivery. With an order this large its imperative that all items ordered are delivered. Half of our staff didnt have tortillas to make tacos with. EZCater had no way of getting a hold of anyone at the store to redeliver the missing items. I tried calling several times and all I got was the messaging system instructing you to leave a voicemail but then the voicemail box was full and you couldnt leave a message. Although there was a credit issued, it doesnt fix the inconvenience of not having everything we paid for before people stated to eat and then having to find someone from staff to go pick up the tortillas. If we had know this would be an issue, I simply would have placed the order and picked it up myself to ensure all of the items were provided before leaving the restaurant. We have ordered from this location numerous times in the past and it seems like something is always missing. I figured trying them out again snce staff likes the restaurants and its been a while since weve been able to cater lunch for our office due to COVID. Id give this ZEO STARS if possible. Such an inconvenience for a large order and amount of money spent!

Ordered Border Burritos which were good. My problem came after I had eaten. I was throwing away the bag that the utensils came in and found 2 used Band-Aids placed together in the bottom of the bag. Absolutely disgusting!!!!. Called and informed the shift supervisor. Hopefully theyre taking care of this issue.

I order the Yolo Mango Burrito (charboiled chicken, mango, special salsa) here semi regularly. The prices are decent but I usually go somewhere else for my burrito experience because they are a bit on the pricier end. But the Yolo Mango is good and unique, so thats why I get my fill here. Chips and Salsa bar. Good for groups. Dine in is open right now. Good spot for a lunch date. Outdoor and indoor seating. Not fast but not slow either for ordering in, popular though, so can depend.

Dos Coyotes is extremely great at food, however, is not so great at letting single diners eat their food while making a few casual visits to the salsa bar without the risk of an employee bussing up your plate. A warning to vegans, the refried beans are vegan, but the black beans are not (they are cooked in butter). The man taking my order was sharp enough to point that out when I simply ordered a vegetarian southwest burrito without cheese (which is about the best service a vegan can get).The food came quickly, was good and reasonably priced. There is a full salsa bar, but I only tried there green salsa, which was pretty good. Tables are bussed very quickly as well and the only employee I interacted with was friendly and helpful. The music wasnt bad either (90s/00s mainstream rock).I will be returning on the future.

My very favorite Mexican restaurant in the Davis area. The menu is always changing with specials that accommodate whats in season. The restaurants are all decorated with tasteful southwestern decor reminiscent of New Mexico adobe. Its a great every day sort of place for food.

I love Dos Coyotes in North Davis, but moved to South Davis and have been going to the Oakshade location. Unfortunately all my orders from South Davis have been missing an item, not throughly cooked or taste different. It’s been really disappointing because I’m a huge fan of several of their dishes. I hope it doesn’t continue, but for now I’m switching back to the North Davis location.

Dos Coyotes has a solid menu, and their seasonal specialties are great. They use frsh ingredients. They prepare the food quickly, so theres never much of a wait to get your meal. The salsa bar has mild to hot salsas, all prepared fresh.The restaurant has a casual Southwest interior that is comfortable, and a nice patio area with umbrellas. They have a good soft drink machine, and a nice selection of bottled beers and gourmet sodas.

Love Dos! Everyone enjoys it. My favorite is the mahi mahi fish tacos. The Border burrito is also impressive. Nachos are delish. The Adobe salad is fantastic and huge. Salsa bar rocks. We eat here every Tuesday. I order off the seasonal menu, my husband gets the same thing every time. Theres no place like it, you just have to try it. Great place to take out of town visitors. I recommend the ranchero burrito with chicken, the howlin tostada, and the mahi burrito.

I didnt like how they treated me when I walked in. They were so rude and it was all so close together.There was no space between the tablesEach table was so small. The tables had 2 chairs but only one plate could fit because of how small they were. It was so terrible, that I just got up and left. I didnt even order anything. The menúes were also very terrible. My partner and I eat at Dos Coyotes in Davis all the time. Probably once a week. We enjoy margaritas on the patio when its warm out. The staff is friendly and speedy. For as often as we eat there weve literally never had an issue with our order or wait time, whether its slow or packed. The tres tacos basket with pulled pork and the guac topping is my favorite while my partner usually orders the chicken quesadilla. Yum!

I dont live in Davis anymore, but Dos Coyotes is what I miss the most. Every time I come back to Davis, I HAVE to stop at Dos. I regularly find myself craving it and wishing it had a location in the Bay Area. One of my favorite places to eat. Southwest steak burrito is hard to beat. Lots of salad options if your looking to stay healthy . They will let you customize to get exactly what you want.
