We ordered the rawa masala dosa, curd rice, mixed vegetable uttapam, masala dosa, madras coffee, and rose milk. Everything was delicious and authentic. If you want food that tastes homemade and fresh, this is the place to go!

Tried their Rava masala dosa, Andhra Kara masala dosa, punugulu and madras coffee. Both the dosas were not at all crispy and the masala had no flavor. Dosas became soggy quickly. The Sambar and chutneys lacked flavor, almost bland. The punugulu was crispy but again lacked flavor and salt. Madras coffee tasted like coffee out of a machine and not filter coffee. The place was stuffy as it has an open kitchen and I don’t think the a/c was switched on.

Decent dosas, ordered the spring vegetable dosa and Mysore masala Dosa. 4/5 for both. The chutneys were lackluster, did not feel fresh. They serve two chutneys (coconut and peanut) and sambhar.

I visited there first time after watching movie.. Seems to be a good place for south Indian food as there were already 2-3 tables booked. So decided to go there for Dosa, atmosphere was ok and ordered a Masala Onion Dosa and Sambhar Vada. He served Dosa first and really disappointed to see that as they sprinkled raw chopped onions in Dosa with a little potatoes filling and quantity of sambhar was very less. So when we taste it, it was not good at all and who puts raw onions in Dosa? After that our Sambhar Vada served, it was little bit better than that. After eating food me and my husband got trouble in stomach, felt upset. Idk why? Not satisfied 😔 with the food. Sorry!!

Absolutely great foods for your taste buds and tummy.We ordered combo C7 and C5. Both were great value for money. And the poori 100/10. Soft, fluffy and not at all oily. Quick service but the ambience was average. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a good south Indian breakfast.

This is our regular haunt (about twice a week). The medu vadai, plain dosa, parotta kurma, pongal and accompanying chutneys are very good and smell and taste fresh. The poori is average, a bit dry and the masala a bit bland. Kesari is good. Its less expensive than most for similar food in the area. Service is average, sometimes the lines are long and I have waited 10 mins to order one set of vadai. The establishment is modest and nothing to write home about but patrons dont seem to mind and I have never seen this place half empty yet. Dosa hut also offer lollipops at checkout but the kids have not discovered this yet since its a bit hidden at the back of the counter. We do both dine in and take out.

I’ve tasted almost every item that’s available here other than some rice stuff . It’s a decent, cost friendly South Indian themed restaurant with very limited dine inn area. Food available here are full n full vegetarian stuff. I won’t say the food is delicious but they all taste good. This place is moderately crowded during weekdays and heavily crowded during weekends. If you are planning to visit this place during weekends better be prepared for some waiting to get seated. Paratha is my favorite especially the kurma and raitha that comes with it . Love all the dosas here! Taste is amazing and the staff is very friendly… they will suggest dishes per your liking, they’ll also try their best to make it as per your specifications. The quantity too is great. Love their paneer bhurji dosa, Andhra kara dosa as well as Mysore masal Dosa. Would surely recommend to all dosa lovers!

This place is a gold mine of bay area. If you are fond of South indian breakfast and havent visited this place.. you are missing out on Michelin level taste. Its got a lot of parking and good resturants around along with cinemas. So def take time and order some combos. You will thank me later. Their waitress is super women. Kudos to her man. The place is a bit small but the food is out of the world. Iv been here almost every month. Definitely recommend this amazing authentic South Indian breakfast place. Btw their Dosas are also great. A small hole-in-the-wall space, dishing out very tasty, authentic South Indian delicacies. The portion size of each item was generous. I have not eaten a crispier, fluffier, larger and more delicious medu vada in any other S. Indian restaurants around the Bay Area. Though the restaurant has only about 12 tables, it did not get too crowded as people were moving in and out quite quickly. Restroom was very clean.Service was super efficient. Our snack was served within 8 minutes of placing the order. If you want a quick taste of delicious South Indian snacks, this is the place to go.

Giving 2 stars bcoz of their service which was too slow. Waited 40mins after placing order.I think they give priority to online orders more.I ordered onion rava masala dosa & combo (C7).When checked with them after 30mins, they said rava masala dosa takes time. Phenomenal place for great south Indian food. Loved the vada and dosa. The pongal was on point with consistency and flavor and went well with the vada. The coconut chutney was a bit bland, but the sambar made up for it. Chai was bad, but thats expected. No one makes good chai anymore and its all sugarless. Gulab jamun rounded up the treat. Will definitely swing by if Im craving pongal vada again.

The Masala Dosa combo is a great deal. comes with tiny little idli in sambar, and Vada. some dosa places do the potato masala chunky. This place does the filling does the filling more like mashed potatoes, with a lot of fried onions, which I liked.This Vada was one of the best fried lentil donuts I’ve ever had, light and crispy, not too dense. Better than Udupi Palace.Cut Mirchi (battered fried chili) was just OK, a bit overcooked as you perhaps can tell from the photo.

They are small dosa shop in fremont, recently opened and doing pretty well not entirely due to the quality of food.Have been plenty of times they always serve piping hot food, this time they microwaved a stale dosa and presented me.Filter coffee is always kickass.Order vada of you can peep them frying it, else you will get them cold.Idly can obv cant go wrong, its always a hassle catching them again to get more chutney or sambhar( well you wont order more sambhar)There is a kid near the washroom he keeps playing with the cardboard, belongs to one of the Mexican lady server there( i left her tip coz i saw one the owner berating the kid)Its sad some ppl get GC and they forget its so difficult for people earning less to manage their life.

I had to downgrade the rating from 5 star to 2, simply because of their not so great business ethics. They don’t seem to follow the queue policy while serving though they do follow the same during the payment or purchase of items. People coming later requesting for the same food items are served faster just because they came in a bigger group or probably are personally known to the employees.I am happy to update it back to 5 star if folks really resolve this issue as I never had an issue with the food items, their quality or cost btw.

Typical average Indian joint with typical average South Indian fare . Toilets can be cleaner and the place made to look much better. Its the kind.of place where you get a sense that the owners have no aspirations or sense of pride of ownership. We always love eating at Dosa Hut in Fremont. We usually order combo number 7, which consists of one masala dosa, seven mini idlis, and one vada. Today, I decided to try the Mysore masala dosa. To my disappointment, it was just a regular masala dosa. I didnt see any of the red Mysore masala spicy chutney. The filling inside was also just like the regular masala dosa. I called the owner or manager and showed it to him, explaining that there may have been a mistake with our order. He confidently told us that there was indeed a red chutney, but that it was not visible. Despite his assurance, we were not able to taste the Mysore masala after eating the dosa. To be honest, I felt like I was just eating a plain masala dosa.I felt very bad. Usually, I dont like to give negative reviews for any restaurant, as mistakes can happen. However, after my complaint, the owner/manager did not seem to want to correct this mistake. We paid a lot of money for the dosa and were unhappy with it.

I havent seen a restaurant with such rude behaviour. I arrived to have lunch with my 2 kids at about 2:10 PM. The owner or whoever was at the counter seemed totally annoyed when I placed the order. Reminded me that restaurant closes at 2:30 in a very rude fashion and literally slammed down cold filter coffee on the counter. Did not even have courtesy to ask if I want coffee after meal. Through their body language they made abundantly clear that they didnt want my business. I made a huge mistake by visiting them. I am all for supporting local businesses like these but they need to act like they want it. Never coming back here.

We recently ordered breakfast catering for a morning event. The sambar was horrible and was stale. It probably was a day or 2 days old. The vada was not completely cooked and the batter was still oozing. The coconut chutney was also horrible and smelled like it was rotted. On a whole, it was expensive and overly priced for the food they provided. They made us wait extra for an hour to give the food on time. Overall, a worst experience and very disturbed that the food ruined the entire event. I wouldn’t even give a star if there was an option!

This place used to be good but looks to be going downhill. Extremely poor customer service and hygiene. The restaurant is a hole in the wall and you could overlook the shabbiness for good food but that is no longer the case. The taste of food and quality of food has deteriorated drastically over time. Dosa Hut is a great place that you must try as you visit the other top-class Indian restaurants in the Fremont/Newark area. Kind of a hole in the wall - small (maybe around 30 people max), but excellent food. The south Indian thali is fantastic - the quantity of rice served is plenty and you get a multitude of curries with it, along with chapati. Most of their combos are worth it for the cost - the paratha combo is one that I enjoy. Only reason why I gave 4 stars is because of cleanliness and hygiene - bathrooms are not so clean and to be on the safe side, you probably want to bring your own water or order mineral water instead of the water thats in the vessels. Other than that, a great place to have authentic South Indian food!

This location is One of the oldest known constant presence in Fremont right opposite to where Big Cinema was once. Though they call themselves Dosa Hut they do serve some other south Indian delicacies also. To be frank, for some reason I never got satisfied with what they serve be it dosa, chutney or sambhar. The dosa will always be pretty plain in taste I mean the salt will be little less than usual, the chutney will be watery though they give it to you in a very small container, the sambhar will be a bit sweet and not tangy. Being south Indian cuisine, they dont know how to cook basic food. ordered masala Dosa and the masala was literally boiled potatoes with huge cube of potatoes. Told them on the spot and they dont even respond and went back to thier kitchen.

Customer service not good.i went dosa hut to day morning, And I order 1 butter dosa and 1 medu vada But severer Person did wrong Oder and he charged like double Price and he didn’t give me bill also. once I check my bank account and asked him he was arguing. Even I open my order He put idly instead of vada . I don’t want to come this place again.

One day I was bored of life. Bored of everything. Wait thats not right. I was just bored of the food around where I live. I tried Amazon Locker once and when I tried to pick my stuff up I found this place. The name caught my attention, especially since Dosa in Indonesian means sin. Hmm.. Yeah probably there arent any relations. Anyway I went in and told the guy straightforwardly. I dont know what I want. What do you recommend me? He asked: Do you want Dosa? Eh, sure, why not. And Im glad I did. The food was good. Its basically some kind of pancake filled with veggies and meat. It was quite spicy though, so if you dont like it, beware. I personally love it. You eat it with the mint and brown sauce that comes with it. Will definitely go back.

They have nice dosas. The Madras Coffee is really good. I strongly recommend their Uttapam dish. It is a nice South Indian restaurant with vegetarian food that even a meat lover will enjoy. I also recommend you try their Idli.

The worst food to eat... dosa was burned along with sanmbhar was roasted and had burned smell, when I asked waiter he looked at me and shook his shoulder and walked away, guest at next table complained and took his refund and walked away. Dirty and messy restaurant...

Its like eating in the cafe they have some good options for Deuces if somebody is okay that you couldnt your pee is okay as well nothing special. There are two dosa that I really enjoy one is Paneer bhurji Dosa and the other one is Chetinad Dosa both of them are good.

The main problem with the food was that it was too expensive for the amount of food that we got. The pictures on the menu are not what you actually get. When we asked the cashier about the menu, he said that the pictures were just for display. However the little food that we got was fresh and tasty.

Love it. All vegetarian restaurant with great tasty food and affordable prices.Nothing extraordinary about this place. In fact the place is so congested, it doesn’t feel comfortable to eat in. The seating too bad to get in and out and no scope for long legged folks to pull back.If not for the very good food especially at such an affordable price which is such a rarity in the city of Fremont, wouldn’t recommend eating in. It’s the 3rd time they gave me the wrong order and the time I gave them a call to check they simply said there is nothing they can’t do about. They’re is a dark Indian guy whose really rude and doesn’t know how to talk to customers. And I would never recommend this place to anyone. There is an another Indian restaurant across from this place. Go there instead. I wish I could have given them minus stars
