I used to eat here often until my job change it is too far for me to go here. Today I was near the area and drop by for lunch. I had the special combination Pho bowl which is a pretty decent size. It had a lot of noodles, meatballs, seafood, and vegetables. The broth is decent, everything went well together and I finished it in 5 minutes. Granted it doesn’t compare to the Pho in Little Saigon area, but I don’t know any place that has this size bowl for under $10. The business has been there over 10 years and the lady is a sweetheart. Please support this restaurant, and I will certainly be back.

I ordered the pad see ew and I took 2 bites paid and left. I was the first customer of the day and I think the sold me yesterdays food. The broccoli was soft and yellow. The chicken was old. The noodles were not fresh and they seemed more like fettuccine then chow fun. The eggs seemed definitely like a yesterdays dish. Even so, Ive had better left over chow fun noodles! It was very bland and I couldnt even tell the noodles had been fried. It was more like fettuccine in a runny broth with old eggs, chicken, and yellow lump broccoli.Maybe they thought I wouldnt know the difference but I know my way around Thai food. In a city of Stanton with large Thai and Vietnamese population, I dont know how they stay in business. This was a very bad experience

I always order the same pho soup in this place (#2 rare) pho has been always good but this evening the meet had this rainbow color on it. I called the restaurant to ask about the color since it was the first time I had it like this and the owner said it was good, after a second call about the same issue he said he was going to get me my money back if I didnt want it but again assured me it was good and safe to eat (I guess he was already annoyed by my call) anyway, I googled it and apparently its safe, so I am eating it... it tastes good anyway. I guess I wont order rare next time and will try other options like the owner suggested 😊

The prices are amazing! I would really recommend the Thai options. I was surprised when the soup options came in a hot pot. Would recommend.

Also customer service both on the phone and when I arrived to pick up my food. I advise the cashier owner lady that the full price online is different advertised then my total when I arrived.. she Shrugged and rolled her eyes as she didnt care and all her customer service went away..I was $0.10 short and she just stared at me with the mean look on her face so I went back to my car to get it. I did not enjoy being treated like this and getting far from here when theres thousands of other places I could have gone to and enjoyed it from. Save your time and dont bother coming here because they do not wash their hands and follow Health procedures. Definitely do not recommend. The phone was below average anyways!!

Double Bamboo has got to be one of the quaintest Vietnamese/Thai restaurants in OC. The family that runs it works very hard to keep all the classics on the menu. My picky family members always find something they enjoy. Classic No Questions Asked Pho. Wonderful fried rice, appetizers, probably the best Strawberry Smoothie in OC. Recently this restaurant was vandalized while the owners were visiting their family in Asia. Windows were broken into, chairs tables smashed. I have no idea why someone would do this. Please send good vibes their way. If they are able to open again, please send them your business!

Family owned and operated. High value restaurant, meaning the price you pay for what you get, is very good. If you want the very best food with huge portions, then this is not the place, but youd pay double the price for the very best with huge portions as well. Its in a strip center so the decor is simple. I give it a 5- rating. Good Value!!

I usually get the #8 Pho Double Bamboo special and pork spring rolls. When I want something light at night Ill order 2 or 3 orders of Spring rolls (2 rolls per order). Husband and wife owned and they are super nice.
