Dr Sandwich is a delicious Mediterranean-style restaurant. I recently visited and ordered the beef shawarma pita, and it was amazing! The meat was juicy and flavorful, and the pita bread was warm and fresh. The portions were generous, and the price was very reasonable for the quality of the food. The restaurants atmosphere was clean and welcoming. I highly recommend Dr Sandwich to anyone looking for an authentic Mediterranean food experience.

Excellent Israeli kosher food. If you arrive at lunchtime, expect a long wait due to the large number of online orders the resteraunt handles. I was 2nd in line, but like 10th in queue due to the online orders ahead of me.Food is always delicious. You can ask for fries or pickles to be inserted into sandwich or added on the side -- generally gratis.

If I could I would give it zero star. Today we came to order a large order of around $150, the service was terrible, the cashier had a terrible attitude, they claimed they didnt have things on the menu that they did have because after we received the food weve seen other costumers with the items weve asked for. I would not recommend to come to this restaurant its my first and last time. Just bad business.

The phone customer service is just little bad, i placed an order for 2 shawerma plate one with rice and salad and the other one with only rice and I repeated that 3 times or 4 then i got shawerma with inly salad and other is with rice, please fix your line coz the boice was cutting on and off and please focus on order or ill check it every time I place an order before i picked it up.The meal is amazing and everything looks good but just listen carefully.Nest regardsThank you

I had to take out on Sunday night for a family of three. We got their chicken Shawarma. We all got sick after eating the food with stomach ache and dysentery!! This place used to be good but I guess they don’t care anymore about the quality of the food. Will never go back there again since this is the second time this is happened to us! The food tastes very good but it’s hard to enjoy it with the customer service. I swear they have the rudest rudest people working there. I have been there at least one hundred times (not an exaggeration) and not one time have I had a good experience with any of the people working there. They have screamed at me multiple times when I asked very politely for sauce and overall don’t do anything with a smile. They act like they don’t want to be there (1 guy in particular). I am usually very forgiving but I can’t bring myself to this time. I hope from the bottom of my heart that he gets fired. And only then will I start going back there.

Ordered delivery and they failed to complete my whole meal because they ran out of an item. So instead of replacing they just didn’t give anything in place. They didnt give any pita or fries with my orders even though I ordered it. And when I called about the situation, they didn’t bother to help in any way. Cheap with their food. Go to any other shawarma restaurant and you will get a better experience.

We come here regularly even though there’s no atmosphere and staff is always kinda rude but the food is worth it. Tonight though, once again the service left nothing to desire and after having ordered we are told that they don’t have what we paid for and we should get chicken instead of the beef option ordered because everyone knows they’re the same… though luck!Oh and careful when you ask a refund that you get an actual refund receipt.

My husband really really likes the shawarma pita. Great place but classic LA it has terrible parking. Its a nice walk here though. It has indoor and outdoor seating which is very convenient as they are usually busy. The food tastes fresh and the time it takes them to prepare proves the level of care they put in your meal.

Great place, I love this place. This is one the few places that have good Shawarma in Los Angeles. So if you want great tasting Shawarma, this is the place to go. Food is extremely tasty and fresh. I wasnt a huge fan, the hummus was too smooth and lacked flavor. The steak I ordered was small and very fatty. The Israeli salad again was also not spiced well. They are a little overpriced. And they dont carry laffa wraps. Its fine but there are better options within walking distance.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and it was VERY busy we had to park across the street. It was not very good. We got a few plates and it was okay. All the servings are very small and the chicken is just okay. I liked the hummus which is pretty good. I dont know if I will go back.

Great food! Really good experiences there. One time I ordered food with postmates and the driver brought the wrong order, and when I told him, he didnt want to deal with the hassle so he just drove off. I called the store, and Jamal took my order over the phone and drove to my house himself and dropped off the food - and some! They know customer service and they back their product, not just the food but the quality and care it takes to get it to you.

I order food through Postmates and it got canceled first time because the did not have beef shawarma but it was available on the app. I contacted the restaurant and they told me they have chicken shawarm, so I made a new order for chicken shawarma. I recently visited Dr. Sandwich and had an amazing time. We got the falafel plate and the sabich plate. Both are vegetarian. We let our chef do it his way and he made us the most beautiful plates. The sabich plate came with a side of hummus topped with tahini in the middle and an Israeli salad. Underneath the sabich was a sauce and on top were hard boiled eggs and some pickles. He sprinkled it with a special yellow sauce and parsley. The falafel plate came with fries and an Israeli salad and hummus that was topped with tahini, paprika, and garbanzo beans. Our dishes were not only tasty but pretty to look at. We were very pleased.

I tried this Israeli place because a friend recommended it, he seems to really like it, but Ill never come here again.Perhaps I should give them the benefit of the doubt, that it was after the lunch rush and a bad time of day, but the atmosphere inside was disorganized and unprofessional.The only staff member who gave us a half-way decent feeling was the Hispanic chef.Glaring and angry sat a guy in the middle of the restaurant talking with a kid in uniform. I assumed he was an owner. I keep kosher so this place I stop by here and there but the parking can be horrible. Beware of the Iranian female drivers, they have no skills at all behind the wheel. The hummus is good, but they are way overpriced.This is basically a fast food mediterranean diner, so the price has to reflect that but they charge as if they are a much higher end restaurant.This neighborhood has a lot of competition in Jewish, Kosher and Middle Eastern food and that specific location has a history of restaurants opening and closing and I feel the restaurants before them that closed did so cause they too were too expensive.I bought a small take home plastic container of hummus for about 10 bucks.You can buy the same container of Hummus for half - about 5 bucks at Whole foods or at any one of the various Israeli or Jewish supermarkets in the area like Samys on Fairfax that has their own label homemade tasting Hummus thats very good.We live in a time where many people just want to order take away or take out and eat at home and Mediterranean food offers a healthy and relatively cheap option.I believe that people going to Dr. Sandwich arent looking for a high end dining experience but rather for fast and cheap healthy tasty food for the whole family.Ive seen so many restaurants like Dr. Sandwich with good Middle Eastern food fail and close over the last few years cause their prices were too high for this area and after the initial curiosity the customer base dwindled.Ive gone to Dr. Sandwich 3 times and the place was always empty.I think their food is solid and hope they stay in the neighborhood so I hope they lower the price of their food by 25-30 % - especially their take out foods like their Hummus containers - so that they will be competitive and not eventually close.

I ordered a large order for my family. The young woman on the phone K-----, forgot to put in the order. I only found out after walking there 25 minutes later and watching her turn in the order. She laughed as she did it and went oops. Then she informed me that they were out of beef. Again, this was more than half of the order and if she had placed the order when I called she would have been able to call me back 25 minutes ago and told me to change the order. She only made excuses, with no attempt to apologize or make it up to my family. We canceled the never-placed order and left. I will not return because I value friendly customer service more than the food. Anyone can serve food, but I just cant stand disrespect.

Its a little pricey for my taste, but the food is very good. I had a beef shwarma in a baguette and my hubby had a chicken shwarma in a lafa, with beverages included, the total was $35. In Israel, Shwarma is street food, but in LA its an expensive gourmet import. The staff is friendly and the owner will chat with you. If it were priced reasonably, Id probably eat there more often.

(Update) Sadly I no longer eat here the reason is simple the lafabread they use to use to make the wrap and what made this so good is. NO longer being used they now use a tortilla I called them to ask why they had no answers I told them I was not buying a burito they said oh well. I will give another chance. Here once. No laffa or baguette. I didnt want pita or a plate. I wanted a big filling laffa or baguette. Also out of beef. The glass countertop is so scratched I couldnt see the salads to point to through the glare. No spicy Moroccan carrots? Fries are meh and didnt survive the 5 minute 2 mile drive home. Parking is crazy. Upside? Flavor of chicken schwarma was delicious. Hoping it was a bad night and I can come back to raise my review. The guy who assembled my wrap was nice, competent and friendly. Beware prices on website are lower than actual prices. Menu on website says $6.95 but price is $8.95. Had Sabich and chicken shwarma. There were bones in the shwarma and had to get it refunded. The sabich had eggshell, ate it anyways and left still hungry. Bottom line, wasnt worth $25 - $11.95

Mediterranean food has a very special taste in my heart. Good shawarma, falafels and rice pilaf vermicelli can be hard to come by especially fast, fresh and QUALITY spots. Back in NY I loved my cheap and yummy falafel sandwich spots. Though this place isnt cheap, I can rationalize the higher price for the very apparent quality of ingredients and love put into the preparation. The shawarma is not the glued-together ground meat kind that you may get from some fast-food joint, its actual chopped up pieces of chicken and turkey. The hummus is very fresh, thick, and super creamy. They have a host of great salads to stuff your sandwich with(which you have the choice of pita, baguette, and laffa). Biting into my sandwich I could tell that this bread is very freshly baked and was soft and chewy instead of your typical dry or preservative/additive laden store-bought pita. Im looking forward to trying the other meats and the falafels in the future.
