The food descriptions on the menu need to be more detailed. It is hard to tell which food we liked. The table sauce didnt taste good, even the lemonade was full of ice. The dumplings were mostly the thick outer shell. Very limited options for vegetarians, so not recommended. My non-vegetarian friends told me that the food was not as per their expectations.

Visited this restaurant on a rainy evening in November. Who doesnt love hot Chinese food in such weather, when you also have good vegetarian options available too.Garlic Eggplant appetizer was on the sweeter side and was cooked perfectly. Chow Mein was also very good. Kung Pao Tofu was lacked flavor and gravy. Was expecting an explosion in my mouth but there was none.Service was fast and every dish was served hot and fresh.

Our first time dining in this restaurant and what a great experience. To begin, the lunch prices are actually reasonable. For $8.00 - $10.00 you can get an entree dish, your choice of rice, an egg roll or salad, and soup. My wife and I ordered the vegetable spring rolls which came out before the meal (what a novel concept). They were crisp on the outside with flavorful fillings and they were actually hot! The soup they served had a little spice and the small salad had this unique peanut dressing which was fabulous. I ordered the General Tsos Chicken and she ordered the Vegetable Kung Pao with Tofu. Both dishes were hot, full of flavor, and had just the right amount of vegetables and sauce. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was extremely clean. This is our new favorite Chinese restaurant in Pleasanton, especially for Lunch!!!

The food and service here are EXCELLENT! I am still surprised at how reasonably priced the lunch menu is - $9.00 for an entree, egg roll or salad, and choice of rice (white, brown, or fried). I will be going back!

Nothing but positive things to say about Dragon City. Moved to the Pleasanton area a few years ago and have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant to replace one we used to really enjoy in the city. Dragon City was absolutely fantastic. Excellent service, excellent food, and reasonable prices. What else is there to say? If you like high quality Chinese food, look no further!

Fancy brand new interior, quality delicous food and excellent service! I tired the two chefs special especially made for me which are not on menu. 1. Teriiyaki stylw beef with mushrooms. 2. Grilled salmon! Fabulous!!

Weve walked by Dragon Palace for years now, and tonight we realized what a terrible mistake that was. A delightful variety of dishes, big portions, fast service, and most importantly, the dishes were delicious. Kung Pao chicken, Szechuan beef, and salt and pepper prawns were all tasty and had unique flavors. All in all a surprisingly good meal. Dont walk by this place without giving it a try!

I dig Dragon City. Its a good addition to the downtown Pleasanton eating scene. When youre looking for something other one of the Italian or Mediterranean places downtown, give it a try. Entrees are good, as are the noodle dishes. Rice, oddly enough, is just okay. That said, go for noodles!

Nice inside area. Was disappointed with taste of food. Vegetable chow mein was very sweet, the vegetable rice was very salty. The vegetarian potstickers were very thick. Spring rolls were alright with sweet & sour.

Although the staff was really nice, the food just wasnt up to the level of a 3 star review, so we sadly are giving it 2 stars. Dont know how its averaging 4 stars with this quality of food, but I guess its the typical most residents out here dont really know what good Chinese food is situation.Did an online order and delivery option. Long delay from submitting the order to a confirmation email. So long that I emailed the help email address on the website about it. No delivery fee for orders over $25, which is a huge plus. The delivery guy came fast and was very nice. I tipped him the max 20% the website would allow me to tip, because it was a holiday. But he didnt bring plates, napkins or chopsticks that Id asked for on the order.Hot and Sour soup was the best of the items we bought. Id say it was better than Panda Express but not nearly as good as Andy and Yus. It was just bland. It needed a little more hot or a little more sour or a little more of both. Otherwise, the consistency was on par.Bland is the best word to describe the food here. We got veggie chow fun and the noodles were mushy and overcooked, as well as the vegetables. We got the food so quickly from the restaurant, there was no excuse for it to be so overcooked. For the first time I can remember (at least 20 years), I put soy sauce on the food due to how bland it was.Chicken with vegetables was the same. Bland. Chicken dry and overcooked. Veggies also overcooked, missing that wok fried crunch that is expected for Chinese meals.We had been so excited at the reviews about a place we had never tried. We ended up very disappointed. I would say that if Andy an Yus is closed and you absolutely need your Chinese food craving handled, you may be satisfied with this place. But for us, this will be our first and last experience.Owners: You have a very nice staff and Im sure you have the capability to use higher quality food, spices and proper cooking techniques. Please bring the quality level up to standard.

I don’t know if there is a new cook but my chicken wings came out with a soggy, gross breading, I tried one and couldn’t eat anymore, really gross should be crispy I think. There were 2 chunks of chicken in my Kung Pao chicken, basically all bell peppers, 10 chili peppers. Wish I could recommend but food quality has decreased. Maybe when ling to try if I was assured better food and a quality check before serving, this was a take out.

My husband and I stumbled upon this little gem on the night of its soft open- which was a fun surprise for us! The space was adorable, spacious but cozy, the staff was warm, and the food was DELICIOUS. We ordered the Crab Rangoons, sweet & Sour Chicken, & Roast Pork Chow Fun. It was all flavorful & delicious, but we both agreed that the Chow Fun was the best! We will be visiting again soon.

All in all food was good! Got the fried calamari and fried wontons to start, both of which were over fried. Also got sizzling rice soup, flavor was amazing, but lacked its nakesake...rice, there wasnt much. For the mains we got chicken fried rice and chicken chow mien, lemon chicken, mu shu pork, and honey walnut prawns. The cfr was good but and the chow mien was the big fat noodles and had great flavor! Not much to say for the lemon chicken, the mu shu was really good(but the thin crepe that comes with them was more of a tortilla thickness), now the honey walnut prawns, this is what saved it for me, this dish was amazing i could go back to eat just this and probably will!!! The service here was great and the staff very friendly and eager, will deffinatly be going back

This place is a winner. Its very inexpensive but the food is very good. It all tastes fresh and it is not cooked until you order it.I had the two item bento box. My Maine Coons were shrimp tempura and Katsu. This comes with two sides so I chose macaroni salad and gyoza. My wife had the bento box with just one item. She chose a shrimp tempura sushi roll and her two sides were edamame and a side salad. We also got an order of seaweed salad. Everything was very good and we enjoyed it a lot.We decided to try this place after reading Harvey Kays excellent review. And I agree with him. Its a good place and well be back.
