Very disappointing. We were so excited but the food was lacking flavor and was not well prepared. Even my 8 year old said it wasnt very good. Rice was all cold and dry. Dessert was cookies still in Smart and Final packages. for vegetarians, they had white rice and a sad looking garlic vegetable dish and chewy veggie spring rolls.

This is an all you can eat buffet. Ive been eating here for over 10 years. I have noticed the last few times I was there, the food dosent taste like it used to. Maybe new cooks??? Every time I go, I tell myself Im not going back, but I get hungry for Chinese food, and give in. The buffet will set you back $20 per.

What Happened? I used to love this restaurant!! We just went there tonight, and I couldnt find a thing that tasted good. Because of Covid, they have eliminated 2 whole sections of entrees and replaced them with the plates & silverware. They have stopped making all the dishes that I used to really enjoy(their sushi, fried shrimp & fish), and the house special spareribs were awful!!! They also raised their prices, so it cost us nearly $72 for 3 people!!! I will NEVER go there again.

This place is straight up a small town Chinese food buffet that’s what you get and that’s what you should expect. All the low star ratings from the past couple months I’m not sure what these people were thinking. The food is reasonably priced in the mid-20s depending on what time of day you go. It is a buffet so it’s all you can eat so the price has to be a little high. For drinks they mostly just have teas and soft drinks but you can order beer and wine it seems at your table. Lots of seating and large tables to bring your large family

Very over priced for starters. $22 a person and for children $32 something by the year. So my 9 yo was basically the same price as an adult. Not much of a wide variety of foods/desserts/drinks. Typical American-Chinese food. No dessert sections which is honestly a huge let down. I save quite a bit of room for desserts at buffets and all they had was a soft serve machine.Very dirty floors, they were pretty sticky by the soda machine. The egg flower soup was also a huge let down, very yolky, and there is no more of their tea they used to serve when you first walked in.Definitely not the same as years before and definitely not evolving in the best way.

Well I have been familiar with this place for years now. They are good very clean and polite. Went to get one of my favorite dinners and a rainy day, Wor Wonton Soup. This was about a dollar fifty increase in price which wasnt an issue but the ingredients did seem a little skimpy compared to months before. Still good though. Cant really go wrong here. Good very basic Chinese food 😋

Where did all the good food go??! I went there tonight with my family and it is not how I remembered it...AT ALL. The egg flower (egg drop) soup was bland and the fried food was extra greasy. I know COVID-19 played a major role in this, but as someone who has gone to this place my whole life I am extremely disappointed in how low the food quality has become. I will never go back to this restaurant again.

Ive always loved Dragon Palace, I think its the best Chinese buffet in the area. The food is good although it is fairly pricey now, but considering its all you can eat, its hard to complain too much about the price.

This place is wonderful. Its a set price for the buffet and all the fixings. (Desserts, Salads, etc). I tried things I have always wanted to try here and it was good. I would highly recommend eating here. Just watch the time because they close at 9:00 - 9:30. The staff was very friendly, courteous and always kept your drink glass full. Its about $15.00 per person. Its worth every cent. I think you can also get carryout. They give you a to-go box and you fill it up. They had everything. I was really happy to find them. They are located right off the interstate on Spring Street with easy access back onto the interstate.

They have great service like they take your plates so they won’t stake but i would wish that they would have plastic chopstick i got a splinter in my lip and tongue. But the reviews that say they found cockroaches kinda made me anxious but it’s a good restaurant and ya✌🏽.

So many choices! I have been coming here for years and always leaving fat and happy. Older decor makes it seem a little run down, but dont let that fool you, the food is great. A lot of choices at the buffet to fit most peoples taste. They also do take out by weight. Plenty of free parking with a lot big enough for larger vehicles.

Its not the greatest but it is a Chinese buffet. I live in San Luis Obispo so its a rather long way for Chinese. Even worst the only other Chinese buffet restaurants are in Santa Maria. Thats a 60 mile round trip for me. Same as Paso. Its hard to believe theres no more really good Chinese buffets around any more. Can you imagine going to a Chinese buffet and not seeing the standard Egg Foo Young? Thats like a pizza parlor not having pepperoni. The waiters werent up on their game tonight. I had to eat with three dirty dishes on my table for quite some time, and yet the staff would walk right pass me to thier station. Only once did someone picked up a finished plate off my table. No staff member asked me if everything is ok? Or how can I help you. Again it was ok. If you got an itch for Chinese food, just know thier back scratcher doesnt totally hit the spot.

So so food, so so service, and on the expensive side. I dont want to give up on them but have grown more disappointed over the years. Have been going here off and on for probably close to 15 years. Its gotten a bit too pricey for me. And any meat that is not chicken or fish seems chewy and gristly. Sometimes food is over cooked or dried out. Went a few days ago and sat waiting for someone to bring us water or ask us what drinks we would like. Had to get up and ask them about it. Drinks are now automatically included in the price of the buffet. But thats not a great deal for those of us who dont drink soda. Also took a while before anyone came to clear plates. The variety of food is good ( Chinese dishes, salad, sushi, desserts, sometimes crab and salmon dishes and some American fare) but given the pricing at almost $15 for Sat lunch, I only come when I am desperately missing any form of Chinese food.

If youve ever been to a Chinese buffet then you know what this is like. Nothing too special. We went an hour before closing and they were still bringing out food so that was a great sign. They had 2 types of cho mein, one fat and one thin. I hate the fat kind so I had the thin one and it was really good. They had a sushi station but it was closed by the time we arrived. They had quite a few desserts and fried dessert type dishes. We love shrimp and they had 3 types. They had crab legs. We didnt have any meat but those dishes looked good as well. The staff was nice, walked around to check up on tables to take away dishes and get drinks. Didnt let dishes pile up. There was quite a bit of staff always doing something so that was a good sign. When we went there were a decent number of people and mostly stayed near closing time. They took a whole with the check but that was because there was only one lady at the front and she did the checks, but she was still nice. Overall one of the better experiences at a Chinese buffet.

Dragon Palace offers the most varied buffet of any Chinese restaurant I have ever experienced. Includes sushi, desserts, nice salad bar, and some kids American food. Food was excellent, staff was friendly, and fast to remove used dishes. We will eat here again for sure when we are visiting.

This place used to be my favorite Chinese buffet in SLO county. I moved away a long time ago and would always look forward to coming back home and taking my fam here. Came back today for the first time in almost a year, only to be extremely disappointed. The prices have gone up, and they have a new chef. The chow mein was the best, even when compared to the other cities Ive lived at. My mom told me that the cook took the recipe with him. Now the Chinese is flavorless and bland. I can no longer recommend this place.

My daughter and I enjoy eating at the Dragon Palace King Buffet. My favorite is the Jalapeno Shrimp, Salmon, Pork, Salads and Fried Bananas. My daughters Favorite is the Chicken on a stick, Broccoli, White Rice and Ice Cream. We used to frequent the Dragon Palace 2-3 times per month but they raised their prices and now it is hard for us to afford, however, the food is great!
