Dragon Sushi in Palm Desert

Food is amazing and staff frequently checks in to accomodate. I super super super recommend the Gorilla Brain (the avacado pic). The deep fried portion is warm and crunchy and the avacado and spicy tuna bring an awsome refreshing contrast. I also got the Passion Roll. I really enjoyed the sauce on that one, but the roll itself was pretty mediocre.Overall, this place has some spectacular options that most places dont have. Go straight for the specialty rolls when you come here. ;)

Our servers were very nice and checked in on us, but the sushi was very disappointing. If your looking for quality & great sushi this is just not the place for it. This is a place for basic sushi.Our miso soup was not hot, it came out just warm. The veg and sushi tempura batter was not crispy at all, the batter had a mushy texture & was kind of thick. It seems they dont use or make proper tempura batter here unfortunately. I had the spicy tuna roll and it was more rice and cucumber in it than tuna. The tuna itself wasnt spicy and you could tell by its color it wasnt spicy, it was more or less regular tuna. We also had salmon sushi and the salmon wasnt the firm texture that very fresh sushi salmon should be. Honestly would describe the sushi here on par with the sushi counters where sushi is made at grocery stores. Decent but definitely not anything to be excited about. We have eaten great sushi in various places, so I guess a place like this just isnt in that category.Too bad, as the restaurant and staff set the stage and expectation for it being much better sushi then it actually is. It seems that the cafe portion of this restaurant may be more of their focus, as the sushi definitely isnt their strong point.

Always great sushi here. So many options and they are all fantastic…. The presentation of the food is spectacular. It’s often busy Friday and Saturday nights so there may be a wait…. Try booking ahead to avoid the delays.Staff are friendly and they also have a well stocked bar

Loved the sushi rolls here, my favorite. They have a food selection of drinks and plenty of different types of food. The music is a little different than the usual Japanese places, but overall a great atmosphere and a fun place to go. We went on a Saturday night early and git a table straight away, but by about 7, there were people waiting for a seat, so get there early.

This restaurant has a very extensive menu; there are so many choices to try from! We have had 3 of their rolls and they have been fantastic! I would say the music choices could be improved as it is different than typical Japanese restaurants, but regardless, you go there for the food and atmosphere, and both are excellent!

Really delicious sushi and options. Great customer service. Friendly and welcoming. If I was in the area, I would definitely return.

Everything was super tasty! The spicy edamame was delicious. We had several specialty rolls, our favorite being the ‘dangerous girl’ or the ‘salmon lover’. The tempura was excellent and service was friendly. We will definitely be back.

I was there in the am. The food was amazing with good seasoning. Drinks were good cinnamon cold brew perfect. Staff was so friendly and attentive.
