I had a lunch special last week instead of cooking at home. The food was fantastic and the lady serving was super nice and accommodating!The lunch specials are super cheap, for what you get. They come with 🍚 rice, 🍲 soup, and an egg roll or fresh roll..Do yourself a favor and come here for the lunch specials

Nice local spot for Chinese. We tried this today via delivery as our other go-to spot is closed Mondays. We had won ton soup, veg dumplings, walnut prawns and mu shu chicken. Overall it was pretty good and prices were reasonable. Although it would be nice if the walnut prawns came with more than just 8 actual walnuts lol but the prawns themselves were good which I suppose is the most important! Would probably skip the dumplings next time as they were a bit bland but everything else was pretty yummy, especially the mu shu. And they offer freebies for orders over $45 if you purchase using the link on their website which is always nice :)

Just went for the first time. Everything was wonderful. Very nice staff, quick and friendly. Plenty of parking and easy the find too. The food came quick and hot to the table and all the entrees were plentiful, beautiful and quite tasty. I completely recommend eating lunch or dinner at Dragon Spring.

If I could give this a zero star I would. We spent quite a bit of money here and everything was wrong. The whole order was screwy. There was fat chunks in the pork. The walnut prawns were just soaking in mayonnaise.My dog wouldnt even eat the meat I put in is bowl.BOOOO

I have ordered takeout from this restaurant around a dozen times, and Ive found that the service is generally good and prompt. However, the dishes can be a bit hit or miss. That being said, I can always rely on the hot and sour soup, chow mein (especially the beef), egg rolls, and Mongolian beef to satisfy my cravings. One thing to note is that the dishes dont come with rice, so be sure to order a large rice for any dishes that pair well with it. Overall, this restaurant is a decent option for takeout with a few reliable dishes worth trying

I will agree with the other reviews, super bland, not worth it. Its like they refuse to add anything that will give flavor: garlic, ginger, chiles, nothing. Every dish is a different reiteration of pre cooked chicken or what have you tossed with brown sauce and different vegetables. I am also sad there are no good Chinese food places around here...

Decided to try a new Chinese restaurant in our neighborhood- what a huge disappointment. The food was gross- egg rolls tasted like Costco frozen egg rolls; salt & pepper shrimp tasted like rubber. Everything else was bland, greasy and unappetizing.

I have gone to this restaurant many times over the years. Some of the best Chinese food in the area and friendly workers. My only complaint is that it should be a little cheaper for what you get.

Everything was bland. Sesame chicken was dry. The hot and sour soup was good. The fried rice was super fresh. The entrées were very disappointing.They seemed pretty busy. After moving into the area we may try them again.

Finally tried the food here. It was quite disappointing. Ordered the mushrooms with snow peas and there were hardly any mushrooms. Ordered the combo chow mein and there was very little protein ie. shrimp, chicken, beef. Mongolian beef was tasty but had very little beef but a ton of onions. And as others have mentioned, their prices are high.

Why dont I go here more often??! Really good food, portions, selection, and service. Been here twice now, never had to wait to be seated (thats unusual here in the Bay area) and we ordered 4 entrees, side of rice, and a large appetizer for under $72. Just as good food as legendary Mings across the street. I seriously hope more people give them a try because they have this unassuming presence which belies the wonderful personal yummy experience they provide 😊

Love this place! The food is unbelievably delicious - fresh, flavorful, and great presentation. The staff is friendly and willing to accommodate your special requests. Im so glad the new owner gave the space a makeover as it is now very sleek and updated and they have a nice selection of wines. Im not much of a noodle lover but their garlic noodles were wonderful. (I also love the cashew broccoli chicken and their combo fried rice.) We live within walking distance so this is definitely our new go to place.Try it, youll like it!

I really like Chinese food, ive been eating at the same one for about 45 years until they went out of business during the covid pandemic. It took me a while to find one that compares, this one not only compared but exceeded my expectations. Its a little more expensive but you also get bigger portions. Its one of the sort of places that you could order 3-4 different items and feed a whole family and then have leftovers 😉 😋 😀 😜

Food is delicious and prices are reasonable, but we specifically requested a delivery time between 6:30pm and 6:45pm and they got here at 6:04pm. This was way too early and we had to reheat/overcook it so it would be hot enough to eat when the rest of our family got here to eat.

Food was good and the waiter was sensitive to food allergies and special diets. We had the veggie pot stickers, veggie chow fun, and garlic eggplant. All were good and much less oil than most Chinese food places.Update: I miss this place so much since we moved out of the area. This place is by far our favorite Chinese food in the bay area. Our favorite dish is the garlic eggplant with tofu added. Everyone loves the sauce on this dish.

The food is delicious! So 3 stars for that. But the cost an the size is why it’s lost 2 stars. One chow mein is about $12 an it feeds one person vs a panda bowl that’s like $6 or other Chinese restaurants where $12 chow feeds a family of 4. I do love the taste but they are rather expensive for the amount an sadly won’t order again cause of the price. But great food!

This review may not be fair, I ordered through DoorDash and was not overly thrilled with the food. I am extremely picky about my Chinese food having grown up with a Cantonese Step Father. The hot and sour soup was good, the pot stickers were gooey, most likely due to condensation during transport, the rest of the food was mediocre, almost too Americanized. Which, many people are looking for. It is by far better than Mings across the street. I cant comment on ambiance or any other factors. I end up not finishing anything except the hot & sour soup which was very good. The meal was okay but not fantastic. I will not order it via Door Dash again, must go in to truly evaluate gain true prospective.

This is the best Chinese restaurant ever! I always try to adjust my schedule when I’m in the area so I can grab a tasty meal or takeout. The Garlic Chicken and the Moo Shu Duck are amazingly delicious and the special lunch plates have generous portions. Yum!

We ordered take out last night via Uber Eats. I have dined at Dragon Spring several times and always found their service sporadic but food always good.Last night we ordered two Chicken Chow Mein one Broccoli Beef, one order of Pot Stickers., and found an order of Vegetable Rolls we had not ordered had been included. They were the best part of the order. The Chow Mein had very minimal chicken and way too much noodles in both servings. The Broccoli Beef portion was very small and mostly gristle. The Broccoli did not appear to be fresh.. The pork pot stickers were good and tasty. The vegetable rolls were very good and saved the meal from being a total let down.. The Fortune Cookies were stale. This meal with gratuity and donation to the restaurant was $61. This is not a lot to pay for good meal . However, this was not just what we were use to from Dragon Spring. We know these are difficult times for restaurants. Perhaps the lesson is to not order on the night before the restaurant is going to close for a day off, because all of the fresh food has been used during the week. I am SUPER picky about Chinese restaurants. I hate when every dish taste the same as the others. Dragons Spring flavors are wonderful and different. I dont feel like Im just eating soy sauce. Glad Im able to now order delivery thru Uber Eats since I live in Pittsburg. Uber Eats randomly cancels your order after waiting an hour for it - but if they do it right the food is so wonderful it is worth waiting two hours. LOL

It used to be a nice place but I don’t visit this place anymore. Their food sucks... I get sick every time I dine there. The quality of food is no more the same..Some staffs are not at all professionals and they are rude too...I am seriously concerned about their food quality. Sorry but I don’t think it’s a nice place to dine in and waste money.

I had a To go order from Dragon spring, as I was getting my order I asked if I can get bags for my order instead of the big boxes they wanted to give me, i was told it cost extra for bags... I was like ok it’s fine then, I looked into the box and no utensils as there was none in the box with the order, I asked if I may have some utensils, the guy also replied with that cost extra! So all in all that is why I 1 stared this place, rude customer service and charge extra for bags and utensils.

GREAT FOOD. I think this place blows Mings (across the street) out of the water. You can even tell by the quality of the meat, the way they cut the meat, etc. Do yourself a favor and try Dragons Spring out. Especially if youre a Mings disciple. You wont be disappointed.

Lychee smoothie didnt have enough lychee flavor; Buddhas Delight was Americanized (mushrooms and broccoli vs lily buds, black moss and wood ear) but otherwise tasted ok; corn with egg drop soup was good; egg roll was crispy and delicious; walnut prawns were excellent (crispy shrimp, tasty sauce and walnuts); kung pao chicken was good; sweet and sour pork was good. Service was good.This is the first Chinese restaurant Ive been to where everything came as a lunch special (entree with soup, rice and salad or an eggroll), no entrees only.
