PizzeriaIf youre on the hunt for an unforgettable pizza experience, look no further than D. Towns Pizzeria in Hollywood, this gem serves up Detroit-style pizza that is nothing short of spectacular. From the moment you step inside, the warm, inviting ambiance and the aroma of freshly baked pizza set the stage for whats to come. D. Towns Pizzeria prides itself on using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients, and this commitment shines through in every bite. The star of the show, of course, is their Detroit-style pizza. For those unfamiliar, Detroit-style pizza is known for its thick, fluffy crust, crispy edges, and reverse layering of cheese and sauce. D. Towns nails this style perfectly. The crust is airy yet satisfyingly chewy, with a delightful crunch that echoes with each bite. The edges are decadently caramelized with cheese, creating a heavenly cheese crust that is irresistibly good. But the crust only sets the stage - the sauce and toppings are the true performers. The sauce, ladled on top in the classic Detroit style, is robust and full of flavor, with just the right balance of sweetness and tang. Each topping is thoughtfully chosen to complement the sauce and crust, from the perfectly crisped pepperoni to the fresh, vibrant vegetables. The staff at D. Towns Pizzeria are as fantastic as their food. Friendly, attentive, and passionate about their craft, they make every visit a pleasant experience. In conclusion, D. Towns Pizzeria is a must-visit for any pizza lover in Detroit or anyone passing through. Its not just a meal; its an experience that youll want to return to again and again. Whether youre a Detroit pizza aficionado or a newcomer to this style, D. Towns delivers an exceptional, memorable pizza that stands out in a crowded culinary landscape. Do yourself a favor and give it a try - your taste buds will thank you!

Motown Meat - pepperoni, sausage, ham, bacon jam, tomato sauce, parmesan / 5 🌟!Haole aka Not Hawaiian - bacon jam, charred pineapple, pickled jalapenos, parmesan / 5 🌟!House Ranch / 5 🌟!dtown pizzeria has had an interesting journey before arriving at their current West Hollywood location. They started by sharing a kitchen with a Pho restaurant (not open there now), opened a location in Topanga Social (still open out there) and then opened their current location in 2023.I have been a fan since their shared kitchen days! For my first visit to their new location, I went with a meat lovers combination pizza and their take on a Hawaiian pizza. Both were fantastic and filled me up for three meals.Their Detroit pizzas are baked to perfection in a square tin. They feature a thick, focaccia-like dough that is so chewy and tasty, it would be great on its own. The cheesy layer comes out crispy, charred and tastes amazing. The meat lovers’ pie has a salty, spicy flavor to it. It was really good. They make their own sausage and the amount of toppings is generous but not overpowering. I love their bacon jam which was also on the Haole pie.Im Canadian so Hawaiian pizza is a staple for folks like me. I loved their take on the sweet and salty combo. The pickled jalapenos are a wonderful touch that adds some heat and flavor.I have always been a fan of ranch dip with pizza, not obsessed but will often get it on the side. Their ranch is house made and was a great little boost of flavor for both of the pies.Their signature pizza box is a creative and fun way to show off your pies on social media.Great pizza. Great people running the shop. Great location (for me at least, Topgana is too far!!).Big fan and I wish them years of success at their new brick and mortar stop.

Should be 4.5 stars! We ordered the bbq wings and the goomba pizza I think it was called. The wings were $11 for 6 which for the price… they were good but I wouldn’t spend that money on them again. Now the pizza… even for $22 my goodness… might be the best pizza I’ve ever had. I thought it was gonna be super dense but the dough was light and fluffy and just perfect. Crispy cheese on the side and gooey cheese on top was just perfect in every way. We also used the spicy honey and that took it to another level I didn’t know existed! Will definitely come back for the pizza!!!

$40 dollars for just (4) small slices and a bunch of unnecessary “Detroit Style” attitude! “I pay more in my commercial rent than your residential rent!” - says the owner/manager. Um, of course you do! The City of West Hollywood requires a minimum (5) year lease (standard) for commercial leases, that’s the requirement in order to run a business in this city. You took over the now closed Big Mama’s and Papa’s Pizzeria, as they didn’t see it feasible to take on a new 5 year lease renewal at $8,000 per month. Same goes for the now closed (yet still so beloved Marco’s Trattoria). And yet a new business THINKS it can come in to the neighborhood with so much attitude. Severely lacking the ideology of top notch customer service. SPECIFICALLY FOR THE FIRST TIME CUSTOMER! Who’s only giving the place a mere chance at patronage for the sake of survival for a new establishment in the neighborhood. Here’s a tip for your business, above and beyond customer service is the backbone of survival. In order for any establishment (most especially a new one) to thrive in West Hollywood, customer service is key! You are no longer operating within your “ghost kitchen” and now have a full on, very expensive lease to pay. It’s not the price of the order, heck not even the quality of the food. But the CUSTOMER SERVICE! I am appalled by this first time experience and because of it, I’m so turned off by your establishment, that I’m not even willing to eat the almost $50 (4) slices of pizza that I purchased. Just going to feed it to the dog (or throw it away) and order from Joe’s on Sunset. They as well as many other local eateries in the area absolutely get it. I can not exclaim it enough. Customer service, customer service, customer service! And not to mention that their (Joe’s) pizza is delicious. Never, ever, EVER AGAIN! Ever! But at least you got my money one time. Good on you. Congratulations.Side note: I’ve reviewed your other reviews from customers and see how you prefer to respond ever so boastfully (with your chest I might add) as opposed to taking the role of a new business owner in a relatively affluent area and realizing that the customer experience is everything. Your establishment seems to absolutely refuse to take heave and consideration to the customer’s review. And instead choose to engage in divisive communication with your customer base. Your business, is operating in the City of West a Hollywood. Not Detroit, Michigan. We do not (and we will not) tolerate any attitudes other than our own. Customer driven operations are the ones that thrive. Not the ones that push back (and then choose to become argumentative) on a negative customer experience. And bashing other businesses qualities of pizza is not only asinine, but childish. You’ll soon learn that.

The Goomba is truly the best pepperoni pizza Ive ever had in my life. Getting to the cheesy/crunchy corner of each slice is an absolute delight - you cant help but eat in silence as you process the deliciousness. The garlic bread is equally phenomenal. Its a gift to have dtown nearby!

Tried this place on what I believe was their first night in the new location. The food is fabulous. Detroit style pizza is different than what I was used to, but it is delicious. Very happy to have them in the neighborhood!
