I was having the worst day I’ve had in a long time on Saturday and my friend (who was kind enough to help me) were looking for a place to eat. He mentioned dumplings and it immediately sounded good, his usual spot was closed for the night, so we came to Dumpling Yo! And we’re floored by how delicious everything is! You will wait for your food but it’s worth it in my opinion. (the wait wasn’t terrible, but you can tell that the food here is made to order by the quality.) we had the pork soup dumplings which were just what I needed, literal perfection! We had the Shanghai fried noodles that were thicc bois but also perfectly cooked and seasoned, and hearty as hell. We ordered the dry-fry string beans which were perfectly spicy, crunchy but cooked, they were delicious! We had the wontons in chili oil and then lastly the egg tarts that are made in house—everything was beautifully cooked, tasted amazing, and really helped me feel much better overall. Sorry for the photos, I didn’t think much to photograph the food other than our food mid-eating.

Currently still in their soft opening. They have a good variety of comfort dishes. Definitely get the pan fried dumplings. Theyre nice and crispy and full of flavor. Service is attentive and kind.

First time trying Dumpling Yo! since their opening last month. I was excited to find a place with beef braised noodles and had to stop by. First impressions were the cleanliness of the establishment, the friendliness of the staff, and the short waiting time. The food itself looked great! The portion was definitely filling with plenty of beef and noodles. It also had bok choy and half an egg. The noodles definitely consumed the beef and Chilli flavor but the soup was super oily. I chose the spicy soup but it wasnt spicy at all. I also asked for vinegar on the sauce but it was somewhat sweet. We were offered some egg tarts but they were packed with butter.Please keep in mind that this is a separate establishment from the one that had sushi before. The menu on this post has the up to date items that are sold here.

We ate at Dumpling Yo! during their soft opening. The restaurant was clean and the service was great. We got the soup dumplings, fried pork buns, and Shanghai fried noodles. Of the three, the Shanghai fried noodles were the best - the texture and flavor were absolutely perfect. Theres homemade chili oil on every table - make sure to try it! The flavor has a lot of depth and its not as spicy as you might think. Were definitely looking forward to trying the rest of the menu!

We usually opt for takeout orders and our absolute favorites are the pan-fried pork buns. The soup-filled dumplings and wontons are also super tasty. This is the first time I did dining in, and it’s a pleasant experience with courteous and friendly service.

Was in the mood for noodles and we found Dumpling Yo! on DoorDash, so we decided to give it a try. We got the Stir Fried Noodles, the Soup Dumplings, the Beef Rolls, and they gave us some Egg Custard Tarts for free. I was so pleasantly surprised by the flavors and the size of the orders, that my husband and I want to try dine-in sometime soon. If I had to give any critique at all, Id say the noodles were a little heavy on the garlic (but I love garlic) so Id still order it again.Probably our new favorite dumpling restaurant.

I’m going to say it. The soup dumplings are better than Journey to the Dumpling.Slightly - you can’t go wrong with either. The skin here is a little thinner, yet they didn’t rip when you pick them up, and JTTD had a bit more bunched up skin up top. For comparison, I also really like the Xiao Long Bao at Tasty Dumpling in Crocker Village. (Never tried Din Tai Fung, so don’t ask me about that). The filling and soup inside was good too.Other standouts here are the beef noodle soup, and the fresh-made warm egg custard tarts. Wonton in chili oil was also good, as well as the green beans. I haven’t tried everything on the menu, but figure the ones with the heart next to them are their specialty items. I’ll be back.I also have to say, the service was excellent. I’m not sure who he is, but the thin Asian man was very friendly and attentive.

Extremely friendly and thoughtful staff. We had the pork soup dumplings and Shanghai noodles. I think the broth in the dumplings could be a little better, but the meat filling was tasty. We really enjoyed the flavor of the Shanghai noodles, but they were just a tad too salty -- not enough to deter us from finishing the whole plate though! :). We enjoyed our experience there overall!

Our server was very friendly and greeted us as soon as we walked in. We had the pork and shrimp soup dumplings, pan fried dumplings, scallion oil noodles and spicy beef noodles along with the Rijamro. Holy cow it was ALL AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS! I want to eat there every week! They were also very accommodating when we asked if something could be made without bell peppers. I cant recommend Dumpling Yo! enough! Everything was flavorful and scrumptious and they even gave us little custard pies for dessert! You HAVE to go!

I ordered the Tamashii Ramen which comes with shrimp. It consisted of shrimp skewer, corns, pork and boiled eggs. It wasnt spicy at all.They dont have kids Ramen. I was able to order my daughter a bowl Ramen by ordering extra noodles and soup.Personally, I felt they need to serve extra broth. The broth was very little . And the shrimp was dry. My noodles were hard and definitely required more broth. Next time,.I would have to get additional broth. Not a place my husband would like though. My daughter loved her Ramen.If you like their Facebook page and give a yelp review than you can get gyoza or seaweed salad.Its a small restaurant with eight tables. Customer service is great here.Parking: the restaurant is located in the pocket shopping complex so its a shared parking lot.

I ordered doordash from them and got the soup dumplings, chili wontons, and Shanghai noodles.The soup dumplings were absolutely delicious and comparable to din tai fung. The sauce they provided has the perfect amount of vinegar and soy sauce.The chili oil couldve used a bit more seasoning in the sauce, but I added the rest of the vinegar and soy sauce into the wontons and they became fantastic.The Shanghai noodles had a great texture and a satisfying coating of sauce. The flavor was delicate and deep.They gave me some extra egg tarts and they were creamy, not too sweet, with a crispy, flakey outer pastry.I would definitely take friends and family to try it fresh out of the kitchen.

I ordered the dumplings in spicy chili sauce, soup filled dumplings, and some noodles. I gotta say the dumplings were flavorless and the ones in the chili oil were all stuck together, forming a huge blob. The noodles were best thing, but mine were mainly veggies. In all honesty, the prices dont match the servings. Ill definitely give this place another try down the road, once they get established.

Overall the food is very good, bordering on excellent.This is their 4th month open.Not too many staff, seems to be only a chef, chef assistant, and the cashier/server when I came late afternoon weekday.The menu is small but well considered and each item should be good.I ordered the spicy beef flank noodle soup which I think is a typical Taiwanese dish. I did not find it too spicy, and the broth, while flavorful, was a bit too oily.The beef, noodles, and vegetables were delicious and full of flavor, the beef tender, the noodles slightly bouncy and chewy, kind of like thin udon.

The dumplings and the noodles were great. But the surprise of the show was the Green Beans. Holy smokes were they delightful, just be careful about the red chilis, accidentally ate one and turned me red! But man it was delicious.

Mid-Pandemic Review (2/3/2021): Please keep in mind this is almost a year into the pandemic/quarantine. Tamashii Ramen is a hidden gem! The interior is simplistic, appealing, and modern. They did have outdoor dining. The staff were very accommodating, generous, and checked up one us often making us feel very welcomed even though we dined outside. They were also very safe and sanitary, they wore masks and followed safety guidelines. If I could add another star for their service, I would! I ordered the Spicy Tonkotsu. It was extremely delicious! The Tonkotsu broth was delicious and had both pork and fish flavors in it but more on the fish side which a surprise but welcoming pleasant flavor, and I liked it a lot! The egg was really tasty and I would have liked more! The spicy paste was on the side and I added it all into my ramen and it was not too spicy but not too plain, just right. They also had garlic paste which gave the broth that extra punch making it extremely savoury. The ramen itself had great texture to it. Overall, this ramen restaurant is very delicious and I highly recommend it. I will definitely be coming back!

Get the Tamasii ramen. Best Japanese ramen I’ve ever had and the B.O.B. Is my favorite roll. I’ve been to Sushi Q and bento box on 16th and Mikunu most locations but this tops the list in my opinion. Give it a try!

Thanks to fellow YE David L. for putting this restaurant in my radar. I love soup dumplings. We placed an order over the phone for pick up, so this is strictly for Carry out experience.Soup Dumplings was pretty good. Definitely a dish that I prefer to eat at the restaurant when its still steamy hot. Good amount of soup and nice texture. The fried rice was too dry and lacking flavor. The noodles was decent but not enough cabbage/veggies. The scallion pancake is thinner version, which I like. I think they used the wrong type of bun for the meat buns. It was like eating an english muffin.The disappointed part was that they forgot to give us the sauce for the dumplings and pancakes, which is kind of essential when you are eating those two dishes.Its their soft opening so its understandable. Looking forward to dining in the restaurant soon.

I found a new ramen place after I came out from Marshall.Im a big fan of ramen. So I decided to try it.I checked up the menu,I can customized my ramen. I love the idea.They have SHRIMP Ramen and CURRY Ramen.That was new for me. I ordered the Shrimp ramen. It come with one skewer grilled shrimp. Then I added cha shu, corn, bamboo shoot and egg. When the order came out. The portion was big.The soup was full of shrimp taste. Its a little bit spicy and I like it!The server told me they used shrimp and chicken to cook the soup base.I definitely will come back and try other items!

Highly recommend the Tonkotsu ramen, either regular or spicy! The egg is just perfect, the broth is rich and creamy, I only regret not ordering extra broth and extra pork char siu! Will be back more often than I’d like to admit!

Food was good! Spicy chicken wings were moist and flavorful. Spicy Tonkatsu was delicious Cha Shu was crispy and tasty thinking about it makes my mouth water probably the best Ive had in Sacramento! So heres the story... I felt like ramen for lunch but ran out of my favorite Maruchan packets. As I ventured to the store, I remembered the gourmet ramen at Tamashiu and how good it was. But since the pandemic, is it still as good??? Oh yes, it was. The house special was full of flavor without msg. So good with that rich shrimp broth!!! Also love the quality of the ramen! Me and my fiance decided to try this ramen place out since we havent tried it out yet. He had the tamashii ramen and croquettes and I had a wakame salad and curry tsukemen. We both really enjoyed the meal and it was really tasty food. I like the modren look and the oddly tilted bowls that usually come with appetizers.

So excited a Ramen spot opened up in this shopping center. Went to explore their soft opening and ordered the spicy tonkatsu broth with a variety of sides and the brussel sprouts appetizer. When you order the broth, it comes with noodles and you order any additional toppings separately. Both the sprouts and soup were delicious. I especially loved the brussel sprouts! Definitely coming here again.

I went to Tamashii for the first time right around when they opened and have almost exclusively gotten my ramen fix from them since. I have a bit of an addiction to ramen and find myself ordering take out at least once a week and have ordered a tonkotsu bowl from Tamashii through doordash or caviar too many times to count at this point, it is easily the best tonkotsu bowl in Sacramento right now.. and I have tried every place I can find.. On Friday I knew I was going to be in the area so for the first time in almost a year I ordered pick up instead of delivery. When I arrived I received a warm greeting from both employees, they asked me my name and when I told them they responded with how excited they were to finally meet me. They thanked me for my loyalty through the pandemic and presented me with an appetizer on them. It was the most amazing service experience I have ever had. The people of Tamashii not only make delicious ramen but they are genuine and so appreciative of their customers. If you are looking for your next go-to ramen spot this is the place!

Excellent food and you can sit outside if you’re tired of takeout! I’ve eaten here three times and it’s definitely a cut above your normal grocery market restaurant. Ordered three variations of the ramen and not regretted any of them. Presentation of a more up-scale restaurant, and large portion for the price. Also, super friendly staff with very good manners, semi-formal conversation. Gotta respect the craft. :)

Excellent service!! I ordered miso ramen....to me enough broth and noodle was just fine👍 Im from Japan and I recommend this place. Next time I will try shoyu ramen. I also like their chashu(pork meat) and hanjuku egg( boiled egg but yolk was not cooked all the way). Very enough amount of topping too💕

YO! I call Dumpling Yo! the hidden gem of the Lakecrest Village Shopping Center. Ever since the restaurant opened earlier this year, the quality of food and service has consistently been top notch. My family typically orders the Pork Soup Filled Dumplings, Cheese Rangoon, Gyoza, Cucumber Salad, and the House Special Fried Rice. The menu -- while not extensive -- is still well-curated and there is absolutely no way you could ever go wrong with any item on the menu. We shop in this plaza frequently and we always take a peek inside the restaurant to see how busy it is and were so happy to see how packed it is no matter what time of day we visit. I hope their popularity and success continues!
