Pictured are the soup dumplings, pork bao bun, and brown sugar boba.Great prices for the portion, the soup dumplings were good but not great. They came out semi-hot… I prefer them to come out truly piping hot. The pork bao had good flavor but had a funky after taste. The boba was a huge serving for $4.99!! The service was okay, they were busy on a Saturday afternoon. I would have preferred to be paid a bit more attention to considering I was seated alone.I left full but hours later was greeted with a sore tummy and felt overall pretty icky. Not sure I will be returning after my experience.

Very impressed by this place! Super friendly staff. My server was from Taiwan where I studied and she recommended the lamb dumplings. It was incredible! Tasted really good, came out promptly.We also ordered crushed cucumber salad which was very tasty, the dim sum combination, it was tasty as well. Got honey walnut shrimp which was amazing and a bunch other stuff.But I can’t recommend this place enough. Everyone should go try their amazing dumplings!

My friend and I had a good time here. The Dandan noodles and steamed pork dumplings were great! The dumplings (which are obviously the shop’s namesake) are honestly very good—juicy, perfectly cooked, and flavorful. They have a ‘buy one get one half off’ deal on their beer, meaning you can get two Sapporo or Tsingtao for $10.50 total—not bad for a restaurant. The staff are easygoing and friendly too. Definitely worth trying when you’re craving dumplings.

Amazing place for dumplings! Come in grab a menu and sit yourself down at a table. They are welcoming and service is very fast. Smaller restaurant but plenty of seating. Sharing size portions for 2 I would say. This was our 1st time getting dumplings and what a wonderful way to be introduce to such a tasty food.

Dumplings N More turned out to be a delightful surprise for my Chinese cuisine cravings.Their Dan Dan noodles and dumplings have become my absolute favorites; the flavors are spot on.What’s even better is the reasonable prices, making it a great value for the quality of food.I have to give Dumplings N More a solid 4/5 for consistently delivering delicious Chinese dishes at such an affordable price. Cant rave enough about this place!! Who doesnt want to see their food prepared? I am not big on Chinese food because we Americans really know how to screw it up. But left to those with rich history in cuisine it is stellar. The name dumplings and more couldnt sound more American but the more lets you know that theres an inside joke telling you to hold on to your seat.The soups have that same satisfying depth that your Grandma understands and not only are the noodles just as fresh tasting as the dumplings but the size of the bowls are awe inspiring. I ordered the shrimp and preserved cabbage that gave me a chicken noodle soup buzz with the flavor of seafood and the Braised Pork Soup came as Braised Beef Soup with an apology from the chef (not sure what that was about), but I didnt miss it. It tasted similar to an au jus with plenty of jus. The Dim Sum combo was like a steamed basket of fireworks, delectable and toothy. I almost didnt get a pic of them because they went so fast. I also ordered the picked radish and they were a win with as simple crunchy dish. Kinda like a box of popcorn at a movie but sweet. The staff was friendly and fast as well. The only side eye was the bathroom. It could use some TLC, especially the door which you are forced to touch going in and out. Not too appetizing.The look of the restaurant is quaint and unassuming. They really dont need to decorate to tempt you to try the dumplings once you see them being made. This is a must try for your family and anyone you have visiting from out of town. It does not disappoint and would for sure impress even the most bourgeoisie of foodies. That is if they truly are a foodie.

A vegetarian friendly restaurant that offers almost every dumpling or dim sum with a vegan or vegetarian alternative. I was especially pleased with the spicy wonton and the vegetarian meatball soup, as those two dishes were excellent. Not too expensive and good portion sizes make this a good place for dining parties of all sizes.

This place is really really excellent! One of my favorites for Chinese food in the area. The service is friendly, the food comes out promptly, and of course it is delicious. Im especially a fan of the spicy wontons, but you also cant go wrong with any of the greens (the garlic broccoli my goodness). I really recommend making a stop here.

Am glad I did not try the far drive. The delivery product was not worth it. Missing item. Soup dumplings almost dry. Tea not enough bobba as others usually does. I advise buy instead the soup dumplings frozen at 99 ranch and steam at home. Better flavor. Grub hub had to refund me the missing item. But I still gave delivery guy big tip as he worked for it and not his fault.

Im so glad this place is in Hillcrest now! Homemade noodles, buns, and dumplings. I didnt get a pic of my favorite dish - shrimp dumplings. The wrapper was delicate and soft. The shrimp was perfectly compliments by the broth. It was all fabulous though. Theres nothing like homemade noodles! Really good prices too. 👌🏼

The best and most fresh and flavorful tacos I’ve had in years! The micheladas are amazing!! Such a great spot for a work lunch, drinks with the crew, a happy hour w the coworkers, grabbing a beer and watching sports, bar crawl pit stop, and so much more!! Tacos, burritos, loaded fries and nachos, brunch menu with amazing chilaquiles, mimosas, bilinis, breakfast burritos, and more! Dog friendly patio with heaters for when it’s chilly. I love this place. Hope they are able to make it through COVID. My husband and I can eat like fat vegetarian kings here for a pittance. Vegan spicy wontons, steamed dumplings, and veggie meatball soup. YUM. The big bun and chive puff buns are also delish.Be warned - sometimes the service isnt great. You might have to wait a while or ask a few times. No one is ever rude, just a bit absent-minded. I dont care though. Ill wait days for those spicy wontons.

We ordered the fried rice with pork instead of with ham. First they dont allow substitution, so we had to order different fried rice dish. It was so greasy that you could almost see the grease dripping from the serving spoon. This was our first time trying this restaurant & will be our last. We paid for the dish, but ate less then 25%. If a Chinese restaurant cant make a simple dish like fried rice, they dont need to stay in business.

These were some of the best dumplings I’ve ever had in San Diego. I had the pork and green onion dumplings for a to-go order and even when I got home to try them did I notice they were just as tender as I would expect them from the steamer. If you’re looking for authentic Chinese dumplings that are worth the money, these are perfect. ♥️

I couldn’t get a reservation at Din Tai Fung, so I decided to supplement my craving for dim sum at this restaurant—HORRIBLE mistake. I can’t say that the food was entirely bad. The egg drop soup was decent along with the soup dumpling. BUT, the spicy wonton and other dim sum dishes were not digestible. I tried my best to swallow through my meal and not waste food; but it was hard not to get past the terrible taste of chewy, luke warm dumplings/wontons. My girlfriend got the braised beef soup, and I swear to god it tasted like someone milked a pizza into a bowl (like domino’s in a liquid form)… I can’t even say that there was a bad service presence because the servers were absent throughout our entire meal lol. Save your money.

The food was good, service was good too and definitely authentic. The only reason why it lost one star was because I have had better authentic northern Chinese food and grew up around this food. The dumpling shells were a little too thick and noodle soup a little too bland. Cumin lamb was delicious and the buns were really good too. Definitely recommend trying as it can be difficult finding good northern chinese food!

Used to be Great Wow. The interior decoration remains the same. The food was good comfort street food in Asia. I ordered 酱肉包,豆角猪肉拌面, and 孜然牙签羊, the lamb on toothpick is heavy on the spice although the onion is not sauteed enough. The Baozi is having the minced meat paste as stuffing instead of a solid meat piece.

Fast friendly service and tasty food. This was our first time and we were in a hurry, so I’ve only tried their pan fried shrimp dumplings and hot and sour soup. Each dumpling held a whole shrimp (not ground or pieces) and fresh greens. Nice and light texture and flavor. The soup was a well balanced version of that type. Plentiful veggies and the wood ear mushrooms were noticeably better that many I’ve had. Not hard or overly chewy - just perfect. Low key interior. Overall exactly what we were looking for before heading to an event in the area.

The wait was well worth the taste of the dumplings and wontons. Getting to watch the food get made from the big window was an added bonus.The Xiao long bao (soup dumplings) were amazing— filled to the brim with broth. The spicy wonton broth had a smoky flavor that made me want to crumble with joy into my seat. Everything is fairly priced as well.I will be dreaming of these dumplings and can’t wait to come back!

This Chinese food is delicious and feels traditional, not processed or fast. The prices are reasonable and the restaurant is cute. I recommend Dan Dan noodles, those are great, although some days are better than others, they are not consistent with the flavors.The service is not that good, its really hard to get the servers to come to your table and once you order they dont even look at the table anymore. Closing the check out is always a pain.

I wish Chinese steam buns were more common in the States as a convenient food because they just work as a soft fluffy food to give you comfort. & Dumplings N More delivers very great steam buns that even on a 90 degree day will make you smile.EDIT: Feel I should edit since time has passed & I can add more. I… LOVE dumplings. I love steam buns. Dough and meat is common across cultures but something special is there in Chinese dumplings & buns. Amazing local spot!!! They work so hard, and I’ve come for dine in and take out both. Stellar, nothing short. Takeout was a large order I shared in Balboa park, got five entrees and my goodness I was FULL! Great portions and quality. I’ve enjoyed soooo many different boba drinks and they’re all good. Only thing I can think of is our pan fried dumplings we ordered didn’t seem as fried as we expected… now I’m realizing they were possibly undercooked because we just woke up to what feels like food poisoning. Our order had taken so long to come out, I had finally asked if we could just pay and take it to go. Other tables that got there after us were served before us. I think the waitress forgot our order and then it was rushed when we started questioning and were getting a little irritated. Would have rather you been honest and not served us raw food. Will never go back.

The dumplings and the big bun are to die for! Extremely delicious and flavorful! On the other hand their bar seating isnt really bar seating. We walked in and chose to sit at the bar and instantly felt regret and felt like we were being criticized in their language. Felt uncomfortable so ended up sitting at a booth. I did mention to the server who brought the food that they should remove the chairs if they dont want anyone sitting there. Will come back to get a better experience which includes being offered water, or any beverages at that and better service.

Food: 5 stars, service: 4 starsThe food was delicious. Ive only recently tried getting into more authentic chinese food and it was worth it here. I tried their soup dumplings and they were so flavorful. They came with a sour sauce, that I added a little chili oil to, and it made them that much better. I also had the braised beef soup that was delicious. I did add some chili oil and little bit of vinegar to bring out the flavors but the base soup was good too. I ended up taking about half of it home because I was full so Im hoping it stays well.The service left a little room to be desired. Everything came out in a reasonable amout of time. However, when ordering, I first ordered the soup dumpling and said that I needed a minute to see if I wanted anything else. The server didnt come back for about 20 min (only after the dumpling were served) and I was finally able to finish my order. She wasnt overly busy at all so Im not sure why she waited so long to come back. Overall, though, service was decent.

Great tasting spring rolls and lamb dumplings. The egg drop soup had lots of eggs, but the broth was virtually tasteless. Plus soup was served after the first two items. The Hot Pot Tang Fan had meat ribs on top that tasted okay but was grisly. The rice had canned vegetables in it but good fresh mushrooms. The fruit tea was mediocre. I will not return.

Food was OK, not great. However, when I tried to pick up my order, the server behind the counter was rude. She asked me for a receipt confirmation when I gave her my name for the order, which was next to her on the counter with my name. I had no idea what she was talking about. Maybe a receipt confirmation is used for food deliverers, and she mistook me for a deliverer. In any case, I told her I did not receive a receipt confirmation and did not understand for what she was asking. Instead of providing an explanation, she repeated herself in a hostile tone. I then showed another server a text message stating that my order from Dumpling N More was ready for pick up. The message made no mention of a receipt. The server looked at the message, and would still not give me my order. He then asked me what I ordered. When I told him, he paused. Out of frustration, I told him it was obviously my order, and took the food. A truly awful experience.

This is the about the six or seventh time eating at this restaurant. We keep returning because the food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. There are vegan options to choose from. My daughter is vegan and shes always satisfied with what she chose. Im not vegan nor vegetarian, but I m also satisfied with what I ordered. My first impression was a small empty restaurant, which made me wonder why I needed to make a reservation if it was completely empty.The ladies seemed very nice, and everything was served a very nicely manner. I went the first week they opened, and the food was amazing. Theres a beef stew with flavors like I never had in Chinese food before. I was so enthused that several weeks later I took another friend there, and everything we ordered was terrible. I reordered the beef stew, and it was so bad I couldnt eat a second bite. It was swimming in some kind of red oil, which had a rank flavor and smell and I later realized was palm oil. In authentic Chinese cuisine, the pie skin is made of either raised dough or very thin non-raised dough. But this restaurant used such thick non-raised dough that it feels like chewing plastics. This place recently reopened. It now is both the restaurant Great Wow and also still has a counter for Trinitea Tea on the inside.I saw a picture of a giant pork bun in the window, which drew me in.
