Food here is absolutely stunning. Have tried several Thai restaurants. Dusita Thai and Thai Orchid on 1st are my favorite.Been eating at Dusita Thai for last seven years and it has been nothing but consistent all along. They successfully make the combination of very complex flavors delicious. I would recommend dining in.That will be a long wait on Fridays so plan to be here around 7 or 7:30 PM.Large quantities.Their service have dropped recently, they bring the drinks almost at the end of the meal. They only stop by at the table twice once for taking order and wants to bring the check. The order in which they bring the food is irregular.Parking is a hassle in the restaurant lot but plenty of space available in the neighborhood.

I recently dined at Dusita Thai Cuisine and I must say their Thai food is absolutely amazing. The flavors were rich and authentic, and the portion sizes were generous. I left the restaurant feeling fully satisfied with the quality of the food. However, I do have one small critique, which is the service. During my visit, there were only two servers attending to all the tables, and it was a busy weekend evening. This resulted in longer wait times for both ordering and receiving our food. I believe that hiring additional staff would greatly improve the overall dining experience, as it would help alleviate the wait times and ensure smoother service. Despite this slight inconvenience, I still highly recommend Dusita Thai Cuisine for their delicious food. Just be prepared for a potential wait time, but rest assured that the flavors and portions will make up for it.

For tasty South Bay/Silicon Valley authentic Thai food, my GO TO is Dusita Thai Cuisine.Tasty, good quality and generous portions.This Thai restaurant gets busy so it’s best to get there early to grab a table. Small parking lot so oftentimes have to park in the street during busy hours.They have great lunch specials sets you can choose from that comes with a cup of soup and egg rolls when dining in.I was busy so had to order a Shrimp Pad Thai to go. Dusita Thai is a hidden gem for Thai cuisine! The food was absolutely delicious, and I highly recommend trying their Tom Kha Soup with seafood – its a flavor explosion! However, be prepared for a bit of a challenge when it comes to parking. The restaurants parking is limited, so its best to find street parking in the plaza next to it or in the neighborhood. Dont let the parking deter you, though, as the food is totally worth it!The atmosphere at Dusita Thai is delightful, with charming Thai decorations. The restaurant has a warm and inviting ambiance, making it a great place to enjoy a meal. The service is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. Combined with the delicious food, its truly a Thai dining experience worth savoring!

The food was good. I tried the drunken noodles chicken - good portion. Was there for dinner. The staff was rude and we were waiting for a long time for someone to just take our order and it took at least 20-25 mins for the food to arrive. We asked the waitress multiple times but one time she just passed by ignoring us!! The tables are too close to each other so you can actually listen to others talking pretty clear. There was also a lot of noise.

Dusita has become a South bay staple. I have seen hordes of Santa Clara tech folks come in on their lunch break. They do have great $12 lunch specials. They dont skimp on their portions and even after the hard times of late, the portions remain generous. Please refer to my most recent takeout pics. The green curry is in a container with more depth but it def lasted two meals easy.When they first opened, the mild was the equivalent of spicy in most Thai places. Now, they have mellowed it out FYI. But they definitely bring the heat if you go above that which I personally prefer. I like most their dishes, especially the curries. Obviously there may be some other Thai places that make one specific dish better than them, but most Thai places also cost $4 more with smaller portions.Also the employees and employers are hardworking and they have cute seasonal decorations.

Food’s delicious we ordered two different kind of vegetarian soups, coconut one was my favorite. We ordered Thai basil fried rice, pad Thai, vegetable tempura, Thai rolls, and tofu triangles. Tofu triangles were just fried and no taste so it was okay. Mango sticky rice was delicious too. The place was clean. The staff could be more friendly and less in a hurry. Overall enjoyed the place. Small restaurant and great portions for the price. Would definitely recommend the place.

I recently dined at this place and the food as well as service was awful. The waiters did not pay any attention and were very much in hurry to just get the check paid. I ordered Pad thai and Panang curry which were both very spicy. The pad thai had no peanuts and it did not taste like a thai dish at all. Please improve the service and food quality.

Great food, very long waits!We went there on a non-weekend night a group of 4. Wait to get in was not bad (there is not a lot of space to wait inside) there are a few stores you might not find parking there but there is another parking lot right next to it! The wait to order and get our food though was so longgggg! The food was great though; the sampler starter was a great taste of so many things! Basil beef was so aromatic.. awesome!Menu diversity: many options! Really good thai place with lots of options. Gets very busy for dinner so come in for earlier dinner ~7. I have tried many Thai restaurants in the Menlo Park area, and this palace tops them all. Truly authentic dishes, try the pad Thai; highly recommended; reasonably priced too; ideal for a party of 2-4, since you need that conversation time while waiting for your food; lunch time can be very busy, kitchen has its difficulty to bring food fast on to the tables; but good taste worth waiting for.

We have been here multiple times. The food here is tasty and is served very well. The portion size is very generous and definitely an item worth 10-15$ must be more than enough for one person. While ordering, for spiciness level, make sure you select the right level. They have 4 levels of spiciness, mild, medium, spicy and Thai spicy. I love eating spicy food and still I was not able to consume the “spicy” level of food from here. So, I prefer “medium” level here. Make no mistake, the “spicy” and “Thai spicy” levels are more than what a general person can take. 5 stars for food and portion. 4 stars for ambience based on cost. 5 stars for the waiters. 3 stars for how much the waiters are attentive. 3.5 stars for the cutlery(I think it can be cleaner). Overall, in my list, it is a highly recommended place for everyone.

Came here as a large group of 20 people which they were able to accommodate without issues. Quite a popular restaurant during the dinner rush hour time.The Duck run was the highlight of all the dishes. Spicy, filled with tasty pieces of juicy duck, good vegetables paired with a delicious sauce.Good amount of vegetarian options.Only downside is very limited parking in the parking lot in front although plenty of parking right behind the restaurant in the neighborhood.Also no printed itemized receipt makes reimbursing this for corporate expenses more difficult than it could be with a digital receipt.

The food is absolutely flavorful. We have been going to them for last 9 years. Lately, I started looking at the receipt after another customer had similar issue on their receipt. There is new waiter that started working at this place, may be that is the reason. The total on the receipt does not add up. There was mistake in total and $11 were added without a line item. After that we were asked to pay minimum 15% tip. So they just charge you for their total mistake. This has happened to us twice. In other incidence, our receipt after the tip did not match with bank account, only checked because it was company credit card and was uploading receipt. We had generously tipped but additional tip was added without any notice. They have a great business but this dishonesty is really bad on their part. I am not sure how many times they may have charged us extra. Really bad on them. Very disappointing.

Hands down the Best Thai food in Bay Area. It’s my favorite spot for Dine in and Food pickup. Portions are generous. Each and every dishes I tried here tastes distinct from one another. Drunken Noodles are the Best! Try them. Few concerns with the parking spots, and yes atleast 30-45 min of Wait time. Service is not great, but the food is awesome.

A nice Thai place with terrible customer service !!I have been to this place a couple of times.The food here is good. The meal combo etc is nice.Ambience okay, it’s a super small place, you would feel claustrophobic here. Mostly you come here for the food !!! Not enough parking spaces.Customer service : Terrible.We had reserved this place for 12PM for a party of 10 people and then reached the place by 1155 and had loop around the building to check if there was parking, finally parked on an adjacent complex and reached there 8min after 12 and to our surprise the reservation was cancelled.The server said we waited till 12:15 and I showed him it was till 12:10 and rudely walked away!! That’s just pathetic!! It’s such a shame that they don’t even call once to check.

Basil fried rice with Chicken is a must! Full of flavor and couldnt stop eating it.Pad see ew was on point. Noodles cooked well and also had flavor (not bland at all). The chicken in it was also cooked well and flavorful.Roti with Panang curry was simple and delicious.The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the Massaman curry although also bursting with bold flavors had the beef a little too tough..but I am being picky.Best of all was the customer service from the man there, both on the phone and in person....polite, helpful and kind!Im going to keep coming back here!

This place easily makes it into my own personal Top Three Best Thai Spots in South Bay. Lunch time is INSANELY crowded here, but dinner is usually pretty chill. Parking is awful, so I recommend parking around the corner in the neighborhood. I’ve had about 10 different dishes and they’re all great. Note - “mild” is still pretty spicy. Order with caution.

Good food. The soups are delicious and yes spice levels are high. So if you can’t handle heat go with no spice. Their mild is also spicy. Portion size is big. A small cup of soup is also a bowl.The servers are a tad bit rude. We had called and made reservations for three over the phone and they had confirmed. But, when we arrived were rudely told we don’t take reservations.The parking spot outside the restaurant is small so you might have to look for parking elsewhere.

Massaman beef curry lunch special tasted good and had a nice portion.Downside was that at it took at least 10-15 minutes for the waitress to come and take our order. Food is good that is why I keep coming back to this restaurant. Service is one of the worst I have seen. There is lot of wait to get a table so I usually order take out from this place. It always takes multiple attempts at trying to call their numbers to place an order. If you are lucky and someone picked up the phone, they will tell you it will take over an hour for order to be ready even before hearing the order (probably a good thing). Currently, no one even picks up the phone to take an order.I really wish if there are other Thai cafes near my house so I dont have to come here again to place an order.

I don’t usually write reviews for restaurants, but I feel that I need to write a review about my experience to warn other people interested in this restaurant.When I first attempted to get take out from this restaurant, I repeatedly tried calling the restaurant to place an order before embarking on a 25 minute drive to the restaurant. I couldn’t reach the restaurant on either of their numbers, but decided to drive there anyway because it was on the way to another destination. I arrived a few minutes before there posted closing time, and their tables were packed. I informed them that there phones were not working, as I tried to call in an order before driving over, and an employee said that there phones were working but they were answering calls non-stop and weren’t able to take them all. I asked if I could place a to-go order in person but they said that there kitchen was closed.Since I have celiac, I took the opportunity to ask them while I was there in person whether there peanut sauce, Pad Thai, and curries were gluten-free. After checking with the chef, the employee answered affirmatively that they were gluten-free.Today, I called before 6:30pm to place a to-go order. This time, someone did pick up. As I always do, I asked if the dishes I planned on ordering were gluten-free. This time I was immediately told “no”. I asked if they were sure, as I was previously told they they were gluten-free, and they tersely said no, they had soy sauce, and couldn’t be made without it. Then they hung up.I don’t know if I was initially told incorrectly that the dishes I planned on ordering were gluten-free, or if the employee who picked up my phone call was too busy to actually check, but either way, I would very much disrecommend this restaurant to anyone ordering take out or with allergies or dietary restrictions. They are apparently too busy to provide you with any service.

Stopped in for some Thai food here. Parking is very tight, but just parked on side street and walked. Friendly staff and really tasty food. We ordered the Tom kha gai soup which was delicious, great flavor... really really good. Also tried the Panang gai and garlic and pepper chicken both good but the panang was great! I think it was a bit on the pricey side if you ask me me. Oh! Best part was they had Singha Thai beer, never drink beer but love Singha!

I live very close by and this was my first time ordering to do with Dusita. I was told that the way time is 60 mins but mine was 35-40 mins. We ordered crab fried rice medium spicy and it was very spicy but prefect for our taste bud. Portion are huge and very tasty. My only complain is the parking which is very limited.

Really good green curry and Khoi Sao noodles. Their spicy is doable, but their Thai spicy is meant for pros!My tolerance is pretty high (I love habanero salsa, raw Thai chili peppers, etc.), but there are plenty of people who can out spice me.Oh and theyre super busy almost all the time. We got there at 8:30 PM and there were 3 groups waiting for a table still!It took us 40+ mins to get our takeout order (they were so busy they didnt answer their phones). Theyre also on DoorDash if youre not close enough to drive there.

The portions were plentiful as I took my food to-go, back to my hotel. The waitress cautioned that their spice levels are higher than other Thai restaurants and maybe I should order one spice level lower than normal. That turned out to be good advice as I ordered the drunken noodles medium spicy and was treated to a delightful spicy hot meal. The to-go food was wrapped in way too much plastic wrap but thats the only downside to what was a delicious meal.

Always check your credit statement after paying at this restaurant. I have visited this restaurant twice so far (as the food is quite good), but have always found discrepancy in the final amount that they charge on the credit card.I tend to round off the final bill (after including the tip) so that its easier to notice this anomaly.

Absolutely delicious food! The Tom Kha was fragrant, so is the Pad Thai. Their yellow curry was good too, though nothing spectacular, nor was their pineapple fried rice, which is rather standard. Finally, after a year of living in San Jose, i have found the perfect Thai place. It usually gets busy during dinner time. The wait time is not as long as they have quick service.They have a good vegetarian menu as well. I tried the pad thai and spicy tofu and veggies entree - mild level. Both were amazing and fresh.Obviously, went back for more and tried the medium basil fried rice, it was the good amount of spicy. The Tom Yum soup was spicy and tangy. We waited 5 minutes to see, and be greeted by a service staff. I want to start by saying I have NEVER been disappointed by the food here. Weve eaten at Dusita Thai Cuisine approximately 9 or 10 times so far. The food was consistently delicious, well-made, and served hot in a hearty portion thats enough for 1 very hungry person. I would especially recommend their Khao Suey, Panang curry, Tom Kha soup, Pad Kee Mao noodles, and Basil fried rice. Even during the pandemic, this place has been super busy. Now that people are back to dining in-person, its been a nightmare to - 1) Find parking even remotely close to the restaurant, and 2) Get a table without having to wait an average of 40 minutes outside in a small, congested parking lot. In fact, there were at least 4 times when we arrived with the intent to dine at Dusita but after spending 10 minutes trying to find parking nearby, decided to go elsewhere because we just didnt want to deal with this parking conundrum - which is excessive on the weekends but its also the case during week nights. The ONLY time we have found a parking spot as soon as we arrived, was the time we reached the restaurant at like 5:30 p.m., right as it had opened for service. So if youre not prepared to wait and dont want to deal with the parking pains, I would advise getting take-out, or dining-in super early. Service has been slow at times but thats mostly because theyre always so busy. The restaurant itself is clean and the food might very well be worth the wait time/parking fiasco.

This place is amazing! Our new favorite Thai place. The roti panang was so good. We got basil chicken, pineapple fried rice and pad se ew and they were all yummy.The place is a bit of a hole in the wall and parking isnt great but its worth it. They were pretty crowded when we went.Take out is probably a better idea since the service is not great. We had to flag down someone else to bring us water and they are not very friendly.

The food is good. Lunch is busy. The wait for a table could be 15+ minutes during lunch. That’s probably a good indication of the popularity of this place due to its good food.The portions are good. The price is reasonable. The service is good.Be warned, when the servers advise you about the level of spice, take their advice. “Hot” is really spicy. “Thai spicy” is off the charts spicy. I like spicy food, but, at this place, I’m ordering medium spicy. And if needed, I can always add some Thai chilies. I’ve leaned that “hot” is just not enjoyable - for me.

I was in town for business, a coworker recommended this place. Dusita Thai Cuisine did not disappoint. The food was amazing, very tasty, their menu was very detailed and the waitress even made a few recommendations. Thai food can be very spicy at times, but they even give you the option to choose the level of hot/spice when you order your food. Over all a great dinning experience, we truly enjoyed it. Will visit again next time I’m in the area.

I went to Dusita yesterday for my birthday.We made sure to tell the server that we want very little spice in our food.Making the story short, the food was so spicy I couldn’t tolerate it. When I complained the waitress was so rude, and accused me of ordering it this way.Mind you that I’ve been going regularly to their restaurant since they opened this new location, and to their old one too.She ended up charging me for both plates and almost screened at me. I have never ever encountered such rude waitress in my life. She spoiled my birthday! I made sure to tell her that I’m never returning! They are busy and take long time for online orders which is understandable. But they made me wait 40 minutes just for order confirmation and finally said order cancelled and cant fulfill. So good. They warned our table at least 3 times that the food is spicy. I had pad Thai first time and fried rice the second time. Tried a few folks Curry and it was very good. Mild was very nice for me and the spicy folks at our table enjoyed medium. I have heard spice can very by day so go one level lower than you might want and add spice as needed.

Tthe food is fantastic and worth visiting! We were advised that the food is high on the spicy scale, and so we got the medium. Glad we took their advise; we got the medium and the food was the perfect spice level. We got the spicy tofu with mixed vegetables curry, white rice, and the fried rice.The quantity is quite large, and one entree with rice can be a good meal for 2 people.Strongly recommended!!

I drove 30 mins to have dinner with my family, reached here at 9:05 pm for a restaurant that closes 9:30 pm. They refused to dine me in even when the kitchen was open. They offered me to order for takeout but not dine in. I felt it was just the staff who wanted to head home faster that is why they did not entertain me for dine in. After a bit of a wait, we got the Dusitas sampler for an appetizer but then all the main courses arrived thirty seconds after which didnt make a lot of sense.The House Curry Fried Rice was a slop of overcooked rice and chunky vegetables. The chicken satay was pretty bland too. However, the red & panang curries were very tasty and the crispy chicken wings (Thai hot) were absolutely fantastic.

Food is good but BEWARE:- the check only shows the price of the item (no name)- Scam: sometimes, a certain server will include the tip in your total, and will slyly give you the receipt to add the recommend 15% tip (double tip for them)- when I pointed it out, the server argued that isnt possible and then I asked them to look at the check and they didnt say anything.Avoid dining in. Absolutely delicious. This is some of the best thai food Ive had and I will definitely be coming back. This place is so good that there was a 10 minute wait for a table on a Thursday (so call ahead if youre in a hurry). The servers we very nice as well. The food has a bit of a kick to it though (even more than most Thai), so you might want to be cautious with your spice levels. I highly recommend the chicken skewers and the mango sticky rice.

This is one of our go-to Thai restaurant (either take out or dine in). Last time when we were there, we saw a temperature scanner at the entrance. However, it was not well enforced. But, before you are seated, the table and the chairs were thoroughly wiped. We wanted to sit on one of the tables and then the person who was seating did not want us to sit there as the previous person who sat there was coughing a lot. And during our whole stay at the restaurant that table was left empty, even if people were waiting. So, it seems they have been talking good precautions on COVID-19.Well the food was as usual very good, which is a given for this place

I came to Dusita during the summer for a farewell dinner and I was pleased with my experience! Dusita is a pretty popular restaurant, especially during lunch time as they have great lunch menus. Something interesting that I heard from others about this place before going is that Dusita is quite into the spice and if you are spice averse like me definitely pick the lower spice levels! When I went here I ended up getting the lunch special and get green curry which also came with rice. I really liked the flavor of the curry here - Dusita knows how to make curry and also do it well! I think this place gives you a great bang for your buck, especially if you go during lunch time (which i would highly recommend).Overall, good food, good portions (I was able to make 2 meals out of what I got) and great value for what you pay!

The vegetarian is really good. I would advice choosing a medium spice level since the hot level may be too spicy for some. Despite the great food, be prepared to have a long wait and really slow service. The last time I went there, they took more than half an hour to get a table for 4 after initially telling us it would take 5-10 mins. There was another long wait before someone finally took our order and at least a 30-40 min wait after that before the food arrived. Hence the 3 star rating.

We came on a regular Tuesday at 12:15pm with about 5 tables of customers in the restaurant.We waited for 45 mins until our first appetizer dish was served. Lunch special took more than an hour, despite the fact that they also made mistakes on our order. Several takeouts were served but nothing for the customers dine in. I was a little bit skeptical when I first saw the menu, because it looks like the dishes are heavily adapted to the American Thai Cuisine. When we order the Tom Yum Soup, the waiter very patiently explained to us how spicy their soup is, and suggested us to order the mild one. When the dish is served, it turns out their mild Tom Yum Soup is the perfect spicy level for someone even like me who normally enjoys very spicy food. And the spice they used are really authentic as well. Other dishes also turns out to be authentic and delicious. Definitely will come back for more!

I got 4 different dishes. All of them with chicken. Every dish had extremely over cooked chicken! Despite sauces the chicken was so incredibly dry! The veggies were all basically raw! What a shame. I really liked this restaurant until I realized that for the second time I would be disappointed by the quality of the food and the long wait. From the time I ordered to the time the two dishes were handed to me was 35 minutes. Worst part is when I arrived I was asked to wait outside 5 mins. Somehow 5 mins meant 15 mins. Seems like most other reviewers have this same experience but do not mind the wait. Certainly if the meal and experience were superb then perhaps the wait is worth it. Unfortunately the curry chicken and pad see ew were average at best. Certainly I would like to support local small businesses during these challenging times, but this restaurant has not adapted or sped up their cooking one bit. Placed a Door Dash order that was supposed to be ready within 20min but took more than an hour to be completed. I drove 20min to the restaurant and was told that I can either wait for another hour or cancel the order. The lady didn’t apologize or try to help me get my food any faster. They shouldn’t be accepting orders if they can’t fulfill them in a timely manner. Worst customer service! I wasn’t able to cancel the order w/ DoorDash since it was already being “prepared”. I had to call customer service and leave the restaurant without food. What a joke!
