2023-06-21 20:53:24Originally wanted to order online from them on a Tuesday, but they were unexpectedly closed, and my order didnt go through. Figured Id try again, but this time Im gonna head over to make sure theyre open, and lo & behold, they were! One guy at the front of the house greeted me. I let him know Im ordering takeout but needed to check out their menu. He handed me one, then went back to handling business before taking my order. I gave him my card, and waited for the food. Very efficient.Very nice atmosphere! Dark tones with some foliage. Interesting decor. Didnt exactly say Chinese restaurant, but honestly couldve passed as a coffee shop.I ordered two items: Dan Dan Noodles and Chicken Soup. Their noodles were really good. Pork had good flavor and spices, the noodles werent too thick, but nice and chewy. They absorbed all those spicy oils really good.Their chicken soup was pretty good. Very flavorful and savory. The chicken meat was very smooth and soft. But I was hoping to get more pieces of chicken is all.Ive ordered a couple items from them since, and never but disappointed. Last time I was here, I came with my friends and we all loved it.Pro-tip: Ask for containers to pack up the oils, so you can poor over your rice for another meal!

2023-10-02 20:41:51$10 for 3 XL beef steam buns. This alone has me coming back. The food is flavorful. The portion are huge and price cant be beat. I only got a picture of the Strawberry Dream drink which had notes of lavender. The place was clean and looked new. We had to use our translators to communicate but its no big deal.

2022-08-13 19:20:26As a Szechuanese, it is the most authentic Szechuan food I ever had. In love with their spicy wontons and glass noodles. I am so happy that I finally found a good hometown food in LA

2021-07-25 22:26:48Pretty drained after getting back home from a tiring weekend & decided to get something other than P P Pop, which seems like me & the gf have been getting in these situations.Decided to Postmates this place to try it was really just ok, at least for my taste.ITEMS ORDERED:DX Special BaoDan Dan Noodle #2Beef ShumaiTASTE:Pretty sure the cool coloring is a reason I decided to get these buns. That do look pretty cool, but also have decent flavor as well. Good savory ground meat flavor but maybe needs more of that flavor intensified. These are basically the pan fried baos that you may have had at other places, but they are solely steamed. They would be better if they had that crisp pan fried bottom, to add that crisp & another dimension to this dish. Luckily I had chili oil & Chinese vinegar to eat with these. Made it much better. The Beef Shumai are very large & much different than Shumai Ive typically seen. Theres some type of greens mixed in with the beef. This one really needs more flavor because it comes off too bland. Chili oil & vinegar saves the day again. Also it was very greasy & Im not so sure why since it was steamed. The gf thought the excess liquid at the bottom of the container was soup but it was not. It quickly congealed & just look very unappetizing.Dan Dan #2 was interesting. The noodles were probably the thickest Ive even seen which did bring a good chew which I like but it did seem to become overly chewy so it might be too thick for its own good. This dish had a really good aroma as well as decent flavor (savory, slightly spicey & nutty) from all the chilis & peanuts. But like the Beef Shumai there was way too much excess oil at the bottom of the container. I didnt really get to eat the ground meat since it was sitting at the bottom swimming in the oil. I know theres chili oil in here, but dont think all that oil adds anything to the dish. Straining some of it out & keeping the chilis would make it look more appealing.SERVICE, LOCATION & PARKING:This was a Postmates order so I cant really comment on the service. Although I did ask for vinegar, & chili oil on the side for the buns & I did not receive any at all. They are located off Valley in Sunny Plaza. There is parking at the front but Ive often found it easier entering from the side/back from Lafayette St & just parking back there.I dont see myself returning back here since since there are many other options in the area for this type of food. But if youre in that plaza & you do decide to check it out Id love to hear about your experience or what items are good.

2021-03-22 03:53:02Chinese eatery with classic favorites. Came here during DineLA so we were able to try a lot of dishes. They’re currently offering takeout and there’s outdoor dining. You have to order using the barcode on the table and then order through that link (no app needed). There aren’t any waiters that come by, and it was just one person who was bringing out all the food. The wait did take a bit, but I think they were understaffed so it’s understandable! Parking is available in the underground garage. Credit cards are accepted.Food wise, some of the dishes were a bit cooled down, but the flavor was still good! The baos were brightly colored and the pork inside was juicy. The pork shumai is bigger than the typical ones you get in dim sum and don’t have fish roe. The bang bang chicken is cold chicken (its supposed to be!) in a chili sauce. The pork ribs are apparently a popular item and are slightly sweet with sesame seeds on top. The Dan Dan noodles are the star and the noodles are chewy and come with a good amount of meat. The Dan Dan #4 comes with pork ribs on top and has thin noodles. The Dan Dan #2 has thicker noodles while the #3 has hand pulled noodles.Drinks are also available. I got a strawberry Milky Way with 50% sweetness and I really liked the froth ones of it. It was light and refreshing. They did forget to include my crystal boba but it’s all good, they were handling a lot of customers. No bathrooms are available.

2021-09-13 03:50:12I tried dx lab a few weeks ago and this review is only based on the delivery but for delivery it was pretty darn good. We ordered the dinner special with the sweet and spicy thick noodle, special about, pork suimai, Dan Dan #3, strawberry Milky Way tea, the large bao, and the soy powder Chinese mochi. The food was sort of hit or miss- the thick noodles were way too sweet and almost syrupy for us and the mochi was ended up being tossed out completely. The Dan Dan was pretty good as well as the sui mai but they sent 0 sauces of any kind to dip anything in. I’m talking not even soy, hot sauce, nothing. I will say the shining star was the giant bao- that thing really held it’s own. Overall considering how bad delivery things can end up this wasn’t the worst. I’d be willing to give it another try and so should YOU!

2021-11-08 01:06:59Food was pretty good, I came here to try the colored buns, which were OK, their noodles are great though. Our server didn’t speak English, which was fine for me since I speak mandarin, but hard for my friend who doesn’t speak Chinese. Had to wait fir a guy to come out from the back who spoke English.

2021-05-23 07:56:04Be careful when you ask for normal spicy for the noodles. They are super spicy! I had to keep drinking water 😂
