2023-10-12 19:33:32A gem in Alameda. Authentic dim sum both authentic in flavors and presentation: they still present them in traditional self-heating mobile carts, and mark by stamps😃Classics are classic here, you can’t go wrong with almost anything, they are yummy and shiny ✨Staffs were efficient, they went above and beyond to help you.And food recommendations from them were just flooding towards you - they had so many choices and new items that they couldn’t wait for you to try it all! It’s funny how fast we filled our table in just the first five minutes 😅Overall it’s a happy venue with yummy food😊 Ample parking in its own parking lot in the back.

2023-08-13 03:48:05This is probably one of the great Chinese food restaurant on this side of the bay. The services are great and clean (compared to many Chinese restaurants). They have Sushi menu and dim sum too but we were here for Chinese food at dinner time. Price average $16 per plate plate unless you order some seasonal seafood items or duck and buns platter.

2023-11-16 17:43:29Our group of seven had an awesome time at East Ocean Seafood Restaurant, and it wont be our last visit! The menu had a bunch of tasty dishes, and we couldnt get enough of favorites like Shrimp Har Gow, Chicken Feet, Pan Fried Turnip Cake, Fried Shrimp Dumpling, Steamed Pork & Shrimp Sui Mai Dumpling, Golden Shrimp Rice Noodles, and the must-try Deep Fried Taro Meat Dumpling. The Chicken Feet, a famous dish here, lived up to the hype. I might not be a pro at eating it, but my partner loved the flavor and texture. Its a must-try for Chicken Feet enthusiasts!Shrimp Har Gow and Steamed Pork & Shrimp Sui Mai Dumpling were big and super tasty. The Fried Shrimp Dumpling was a pleasant surprise with its juicy and crispy goodness—something new and enjoyable in the dim sum lineup.A shout-out to the Golden Shrimp Rice Noodles - a highlight of our meal. The mix of delicate rice noodles and crispy golden shrimp, paired with soy sauce, took the taste to the next level.Deep Fried Taro Meat Dumpling—a delightful addition thats a must-try for anyone visiting East Ocean Seafood Restaurant! To make the most of your visit, I recommend arriving early as it tends to get crowded. Plus, the convenience of a customer parking lot behind the restaurant ensures a hassle-free start to your dining experience.

2023-11-13 06:49:51Great tasting Dim Sum. On weekdays, it gets busy during lunchtime. No reservations needed, so you can walk in to get a seat. I would imagine that on weekends there would be a wait.I like the Har gow, baked pork buns, siomai, fried shrimp balls, fried egg rolls. The service is fast and the prices are reasonable. The workers are helpful, but sometimes find it hard to communicate with some of the staff due to language barriers. The place is a must try if you like dim sum

2023-05-30 02:13:31Great Chinese restaurant. Here is what the five of us had: Braised beef clay pot, sliced flounder with Bok choy, string beans with beef, crispy half fried chicken, and Peking duck.Peking duck was awesome! I’ll get that again and again. Comes with buns ‘n skins, and duck meat on separate plate. So good with green scallions and hoisin sauce. The green beans were cooked perfectly and covered in some tasty sauce.Crispy chicken was definitely over cooked. The white meat parts were so dry. The braised beef clay pot wasn’t worth it. Hardly any meat and a lot of that tough skin that is typical with this dish. And the fish had some parts cooked well and others were cold.Red bean soup for dessert. I’ll come back but probably try some different dishes versus the ines that weren’t great.

2022-09-05 19:57:52We almost always have dim sum when we visit Alameda CA. The people here are friendly and the food is really good. Its always a good dining experience when you share good food with friends and family. The two items we cant find at many dim sum places is the Matcha egg custard and Chinese donut.Another visit Sept 2022, they added sushi to the menu now.

2023-10-18 19:22:08We enjoy dim sum at East Ocean. Food is consistently good and tons of options to choose from. Large regular menu as well. Lots of tables and a party area as well. Lean restrooms with baby changing tables. Wheelchair friendly location. Parking is hard most times so be prepared to walk a bit if you are not lucky in parking.

2023-10-21 22:56:45Weve had the pleasure of dining at this establishment for dinner in the past, and today marked our first visit for brunch. Unfortunately, on both occasions, we encountered an issue with our meals being served cold. We kindly requested that our plates be reheated, whether it was for chicken, duck, or pork belly. Regrettably, the same issue persisted, leaving us disappointed with our experience. We did appreciate the effort of one staff member who attempted to address our concern, although it would have been ideal if our initial server had taken more initiative to assist us.To convey our disappointment while maintaining courtesy, we left a note specifying which plates were served cold and still tipped 20%. We also extended our gratitude to the staff member who tried to help. The one highlight of our meal was the fresh and hot pork bun, which was a pleasant contrast to the cold plates. In the hope of improving the overall dining experience, we wanted to share our feedback. We believe this feedback can help the establishment deliver consistently enjoyable meals to all patrons. We look forward to the possibility of returning and having a more satisfying dining experience in the future.
