2023-08-01 03:34:32I am terribly disappointed in my visit to this restaurant. Ive been coming here 20+ years and this is my first disappointment. Im giving them 2 stars only because of their strong history of professional service and amazing food.I placed an order online and the food I ended up with was not what I ordered. That would have been okay, if the restaurant had acknowledged my complaint. The food pictured is not the East West Turkey burger with a side salad (according to the menus description)...When I expressed my concerns, most specifically because there was no hamburger bun or condiments, I was rudely dealt with. The individual waiting on customers condescendingly informed me that this was the East West turkey burger Id ordered. After several minutes of politely expressing my dissatisfaction, and being spoken to as if I were a badly behaved child, I rather ungraciously agreed to pay for and take the offending dish.Simply put, all I wanted was a hamburger bun and some basic respect. I truly love this restaurant and hope that my next visit will redeem the offense I felt.

2019-06-06 02:36:51So many good flavors all under one roof! We ordered 3 dishes to share amongst 3 people and we had leftovers! The have beer and wine - even beer on tap and wine by the glass or bottle! Come hungry and leave fully satisfied! Everything is fresh made from scratch!!! Don’t miss this place!

2022-07-20 15:22:54Delicious food, big portions. Lot of veggie / vegan options. Friendly staff.Their butternut squash soup was very good, even kids enjoyed it.We had kids from ages 6 to 13, everyone found things to eat and enjoy..Falfal burrito 🌯, falafel plate, toastada, cheese toast, fries... All were a hit.

2022-09-05 20:59:56My wife loved her Mediterranean plate. My burrito leaves me convinced that mexican-mediterranean fusion does not work. It wasnt bad, but nothing amazing either. Star rating balances my experience vs my wifes.

2021-04-30 19:10:29Overall our dinner was very good! The veggies were fresh and tasty, and the hummus and baba ganouj were awesome. The falafel patties blew me away! We liked the beet delite, but both found the grape leaves to be just ok. I loved the tabbouleh, but my wife wasn’t a fan.The vegetarian tacos were pretty good - the black bean chili had a great flavor, but the steamed veggies, and the brown rice on the side, were pretty bland. The side salad was good. The overlapping tacos was strange - the pitas were overlapping each other and filled together, so to eat them you had to pull them apart and spread the filling from one to the empty space in the other. The outdoor seating area was nice, but there was a fair amount of road noise until rush hour died down - nothing they can do about that, though.

2023-10-05 02:53:29This is basically a decent restaurant in food, service, ambiance & location. Their menu needs improvement to keep up with the other popular Mediterranean/Middle Eastern restaurants that are popping up all over the San Francisco Bay Area. I frequent many of them up and down, east and west of the Bay Area often. It is my opinion that the East West Café management may wish to consider adding a variety of authentic Mediterranean/Middle Eastern style lamb and beef dishes such as lamb and beef or mixed shish kebabs, shawarmas/gyros and etc. to their menu too. Well prepared hot rice pilafs will always be a much appreciated accompaniment with those dishes as well. There are no shortage of Mexican/Latino style restaurants of all varieties anywhere including in Santa Rosa too. To the best of my knowledge, Santa Rosa has only one genuine Mediterranean restaurant and that is not the East West Café. Perhaps, time has come to put the emphasis on a real authentic 100% Eastern Mediterranean menu only. You will do well on that.

2023-09-10 14:55:20Being gluten intolerant I had to stear away from pita bread but that doesnt mean they dont give you an overabundance of hummus. Delicious, but maybe dont need as much hummus if theres nothing to scoop it up with. Maybe more falafal or veggie sticks in place of pita bread.Still, worth the flavor.
