I’m very sad that, after four and a half years in the South Bay, I finally discovered this ramen bar three days before moving to Los Angeles 🥲I’ll def come back because it’s fantastic! Great food, great vibe, they open SUPER LATE on weekends, and the price is really honest.

As Japanese, I was expecting a high quality considering they have 4.5 starts on Google. However, I was very disappointed about the taste of Ramen. They really need to improve the quality of noodle itself. Also, I felt that the soup isnt good either. Honestly, if they sell these kinds of quality of Ramen in Japan, they would need to close down the restaurant within a few months. I was shocked to recognize how not tasty it was!!

Many foods here were bland in comparison to many other Ramen places. Also, most ramen was pork, only a few offered chicken or were vegan. The fried rice was surprisingly very delicious. Unfortunately, the fried chicken felt somewhat undercooked.Quite expensive for average food

Awesome authentic Japanese food in a cozy neighborhood eatery. Service is top notch as well as the variety of dishes from ramen to beef tongue.There are specials everyday too. It gets busy during peek dinner hours but its worth the wait.

Free house special iced coffee when you check in on Yelp! :) It looked so nice packed up with sugar syrup and a little liquid creamer tub, but unfortunately the coffee was a bit bitter and watery at the end of the day.Katayakisoba (Seafood, Pork & Veggies in Thick Sauce on Crispy Noodles) is really fun to eat. You pour the toppings on the crispy noodles and let the gravy soften it up.Donporo ramen (Slow Cooked Marinated Pork Belly Shoyu Ramen) was unbelievable! The pork was so tender and juicy. The ramen noodles were nice and al dente in the flavorful soy sauce broth.Chahan (fried rice) and gyoza were okay, nothing particularly special.Overall, a really solid meal and excellent service!

We visited during the lunch time at work. It was me and 3 others of my colleagues.The place was pretty packed, there were people lining up outside.I worked in a restaurant for years, so I understand how thing generally work, and I try my best to be kind to servers and the staff.We were served 2 dishes, which were identical menu. The food was pretty good.When we were 1/3 done with the first 2 dishes, we asked the server where the other 2 are, she said shell check. Which isnt perfect, but we were fine.3rd dish came out when we were half way done with the first 2 dishes, which we asked why we are not getting the 4th dish. The server said Sorry, Ill check and just left.The place was busy, we tried to understand, but we were too in a hurry since we were trying to eat within lunch time.When we were 2/3 way done with the first 2 dishes, no news about the 4th dish. We called the server to saying Excuse me, she turned around and said ok. Ok what???Us being angry, we told her that we want our check and dont want the 4th dish. She didnt even turn around to look at us and waved her hand and said Ok. OkIS THIS HOW THE RESTARAUNT SHOULD ACT WHEN WE RECEIVED NO FOOD OR THE NEWS ABOUT THE FOOD FOR MORE THAN 45 MINUTES?She came back with a check and said Sorry. Not, Im sorry or we apologize and explain what happened. I asked what happened to the 4th food and she just said Sorry and took our card and the check.WHATS WRONG WITH A FULL SENTENCE OF IM SORRY AND SHORT EXPLANATION? It wasnt like she spoke no English!? Is it so difficult for her to say Im so sorry, the order was never delivered to the kitchen or...There was a lot of orders backed up and had been delays?????????????? My wife and I enjoyed a marvelous meal here recently. The service & the food was outstanding. Small place, huge returns on quality and flavor. The ladies there were attentive & caring. I called yesterday to place an order for pick up only to be told they no longer accept phone orders. I understand that business model change but alienating customers that does not have access to on line ordering seems a bad ay to do business. So after over twenty years of patronizing this business ( I go here at least 20-40 times a year and bring them customers ) I will no longer be coming here .

Went with 3 friends and we each ordered a different soup. Since the servings were so big, we asked for smaller bowls so that we all could share our order with each other. There are quite a variety of noodle soups, ranging from spicy to mild, seafood, to pork. All tasted really good. Will have to go back and try more. Yum!

So many ramen choices and the most delicious curry! Hands down the best Japanese food Ive eaten. You dont come here for the ambiance. The interior of the restaurant is basic, but the food really is the star here. Im less concerned with where I sit as long as I get sat quickly. The restaurant is small and on any given week night it gets packed. Also its best to bring cash.

Found this place 25 years ago, and still come back every time Im in the area. Hands down the best Japanese cuisine I have ever had. Literally everything is delicious on the menu. Ordered the combo with one bowl of ramen and either fried rice or gyoza. Between both of us, we had one bowl of shoyu and one bowl of miso ramen, along with the fried rice and gyoza. The shoyu broth was clear, light in taste, and had a strong umami flavor. The miso was hearty and good on a chilly night. Both the fried rice and gyoza were excellent. Service was fast and friendly. We would definitely come again.

Best Ramen bar hands down!Ive been coming here for over 27 years now... possibly longer early 90s! It went through two owner changes but they kept many of their items on the menu. Their portions are huge and delicious. Katayakisoba, Ibi Chahan, koebi ramen, shoyu ramen, chonpon ramen, seafood ramen, you name it had kept us coming back continuously. I was introduced by my Japanese boss in 1990s. I started coming here as a young girl. Once I married I brought my husband. Now our boys 26yrs old bring their friends. Thank you for providing amazing service that keeps us coming back to your delicious food. Thank you for keeping the original menu and adding pleasure to this quaint spot and delicious bonuses to the menu.Forever your customers♡

Eboshi is a long standing classic ramen shop with lots of options. Owner is always behind the counter and the waitresses give good, friendly, efficient service. Its popular and gets quite busy at lunch time so best to come a few minutes before noon to easily get a table. My favorite local ramen shop since I was very young.

Just wow. Terrible customer service, as soon as we stepped foot inside. We came for dinner on a Wednesday night and it wasnt all too crowded. There were two open tables and a completely open bar. The server lady asked if wed be alright being seated at the bar and my wife kindly requested one of the open tables. Completely ignoring her request, she set two menus down at the bar. We then asked another server lady if we could actually be seated at a table. Hesitantly she agreed and sat us at a four-person table. It was obvious she was not happy with our request. I get that your restaurant is on the small side with limited seating but Ive been to plenty of ramen places with even fewer seats and never had a problem like this. We were here first, there were tables available, so wed like to take one of them. Why must we take the bar when we dont want it? Before even trying their food, a bad taste was left in my mouth. Fast-forward 10 minutes.. our order is already in and another party of three walk in. By now the tables are filled up but the bar seating still plenty available. The server then asks us to move to the bar to make room for the party of three. Wait, what? But there are plenty of bar seats available for that party of three.. also, we were here first, also, well just go. Didnt try their food but not worth the way they handle customers. Lost my appetite.

I’ve tried dozens of Ramen places with my husband in the LA area and eboshi is a true gem. They recently remodeled and added vegan options! And the food remains amazing. This place was making Ramen before Ramen was cool and has been a place I’ve gone back to for 9 years. They are unique in that they are Chinese style ramen. It is very different from your typical japanese ramen. If you come to eboshi get the koebi IRamen (seafood)Don’t expect a typical Tonkatsu ramen like at other places. They also have pan fried noodles Chinese style. So good also the Yakiniku rice plate is the bomb! If you are looking for something unique come here.

My first experience with ramen soup. I wasnt sure what to order. I took a chance and went with the Shoyu with squid, shrimp, and veggie soup. The broth was flavorful and the squid and shrimp were not over cooked. Also the noodles were al dente, just how I like them. Very pleasantly surprised. :) Oh and the steamed dumplings were delish.

You wouldnt think it based on the dingy storefront, but this place has some of the best ramen, especially Mabo Ramen, in the South Bay - their is just something to say about a shops whose chefs have never changed over the years. Aside from their amazing ramen, also worth mentioning is their Chahan, definitely one of the kind in a world of fried rice.

I ordered tandan noodles and dark soy sauce ramen! Very tasty and filling, yet at a very reasonable price! ! Thats surprising! ! This size of dandan noodles cost about $12! ! Im very grateful that it costs about $15 at most! There was so much bean sprouts that I was able to finish it all without feeling heavy on my stomach! Although the seasoning was different from Japanese tandan noodles, it was soy sauce-based and refreshing and delicious✨Nirareba and soft shelf crab were also delicious! ! I went right after it opened on Sunday and was surprised to find it already full.

I went to eat there for the first time on March 12th. My child and I ordered the soy sauce ramen, the child ordered the ramen without green onions, and my husband ordered the ramen without the green onions. When I got home, I realized why I thought, ``Theres something missing, I dont think Ill come again. There was no chashu in the soy sauce ramen for me and my child 😭 I noticed this when I saw the photo I posted on my Twitter, as usual. There was no chashu in the soy sauce ramen. I probably would have gotten it if I had noticed, but I wonder if the store I went to for the first time would have something like this. The menu will be lowered, and you will be putting your trust in the restaurant, so be careful! The receipt only shows the total amount, so even if someone messes up, you might not know...😅It was a relief that the staff at the store were generally kind.Unfortunately, one fly came in😅

I went there because I heard they were offering half-price fried chicken for their 25th anniversary. The mapo ramen I ate for the first time was delicious! The noodles had a strong taste of Japanese katayaki soba and I was very satisfied. I want to eat there again!
