The food is amazing, and the service is super welcoming and friendly!Their homemaid biscuit is soft and delicious. We had the eggs benedict and chicken steak w/ eggs and the photos speak for themselves. Vegetarian friendly :)

We love a good mom and pop shop and this did not disappoint. Been here twice in one week and the food is good, coffee is good, portions are huge and service is fast and friendly. Will definitely frequent this place. Got to try the cinnamon french toast (4 huge slices, could only eat 2) and a country Benedict. Biscuit was warm and buttery. My husband shared his seafood omelette and it was ok, I was just so invested in the biscuit but I love carbs I didnt really mind the omelette that as much. Will make this place a staple.

I have been to all the breakfast spots who boast about being the best. Im from San Jose. This by far is the best breakfast I have ever had in the last year. I tested 4 other restaurants and there hashbrowns were greasy and tasted like they never changed the grease for cooking the potatoes. This place the hashbrowns were tasty crispy and not greasy. The eggs were cooked to order and the sausage patty was the best. I dont know what else to say, but you got to try this place out for breakfast.Samuel Rodriguez from San Jose, Ca.

The service was exceptional! The food was okay. I ordered the two egg breakfast with a pork chop. It was very dry. The hashbrowns were pretty good though. My bf ordered the denver omelete and he was pretty satisfied. They had homemade salsa which was super good and made the pork chop edible for me. Breakfast for two with coffee was just under $40 not including tip. Id come back if Im in the area.

Clean, friendly, homey atmosphere. Cuban sandwich was delish. Good portions. Husband is gluten free, so got burrito in bowl. Fries were nice and crisp. We will be back!

Fabulous. No one in town can touch the delicious food, the service. As an example, today they had outside waiting but were seated pretty quickly. Although they were super busy, they work as a team to tend to your needs. Thank you from my parents and I. See you again soon!

We love this place and it was a huge breakfast so we were able to take leftovers home. We had a seafood omelette with hollandaise sauce. The biscuits are homemade and gigantic!If I’m ever passing this way again I will be sure to eat here.

We went to Eddies for breakfast while visiting in February for a memorial. The food was great and filling.We didnt know Larry Lewis had sold the restaurant and were thankful the food was the same. When all of a sudden, out from the rear dining area came Larry, he immediately recognized us and came over to say hello!Havent seen him in 20yrs!Nice to come back to the town you born and raised in and after all the changes made, you still see someone you know.

Had the French toast combo. The french toast was very good, the eggs and the bacon a little dry and flavorless. The service was slow and the ambient temperature of the restaurant was uncomfortably warm.

While most of the time the food here is in my opinion, excellent, they can be inconsistent however. I love Country fried steak, eggs hash browns, biscuits and gravy. One time the gravy was runny and this last the has browns over cooked and burned in places. I was disappointed but like I said, most of the time they are the best. Next time I will send it back. I am actually surprised they served them like that, watered down gravy and burnt hash browns. I am still going back, I havent given up on them.

Ricardo was very sweet and attentive. His customer service was a 10/10. The food, I had Chilaquiles, my bf had Chicken Steak and daughter had pancakes, nothing was left on the plate. Delicious! Definitely going to back 😋😌

On a return trip through California, I stopped at an an old haunt of mine, Eddies Famous Cafe. The building and interior was the same but the service personal was different. Come to find out that the place had changed hands. Menu was the same but the food was different.I dont know if my memories were clouding my judgement but there was something just a little off. I was delivered a good meal but not like in the past.Service was a bit chaotic but good enough.

It should be called Eddies Fantastic fmFabulous Cafe! food is great, Services wonderful cooks are good people friendly. Enjoy a good meal coffees hot and again the service is great! Today they had one server when we went in at 10:30 and she had a full house and had a positive attitude and was everywhere and doing a great job, Kudos on hiring great people, oh yeah I enjoyed my meal its always been good! For an older building and being there for a long time its well maintained and kept up no musty smells and very cozy I think.

Eddie’s has been here forever and that’s because its a local spot worth stopping for.Greasy spoon plain and simple American style goodness with some Mexican stuff thrown in there because it’s California ya know?Service and food is on point and place is always clean. Prices aren’t too bad these by todays standards either.

Nothing wrong with the place but been coming for years and never have I had a bad experience as I did today with our waitress (the owners daughter). We had a waitress already and she decided to help us without the other waitress knowledge. We waited for an hour for our food and nothing. Decided to leave, really embarrassing but unfortunately might not decide to return.

Local family-owned business. The owners actually cook your food. The food is all made so carefully even the jelly. From breakfast to dinner. They have a long time staff members that will treat you so well. This restaurant has one many awards. Its right on the highway easy for anybody to stop in.

Keep your arms and legs in your seat at all times. The friendly wait staff is constantly taking order, serving your meal, clearing the tables for the next group. The guys in the kitchen never stopped moving- then our lunch arrived. Wow-the food was unbelievable. So make the trip to San Banos CA - and eat at Eddie’s Famous Cafe.

I just love this place. The staff is the greatest ever, they greet you and talk to you like your family they always have a smile on their face and just asking you about your day they make it really homie there. The food here is horrible!! Some of the worst breakfast I’ve ever had. Super salty ham, hard potatoes with no flavor, bitter hollandaise, just nasty food all around. Idk what all the hype is. And for the price, you’re 10x better off at Black Bear down the road.
