Such a calm and serene location with beautifully appointed and luxurious rooms. We took advantage of their spa facilities and had couples massages, both of which were some of the best massages weve ever gotten. The private Japanese soaking tubs take romance and relaxation to a new level.

We loved it! It was a perfect little getaway for our anniversary. We loved the big tub, and it was very quiet.We also loved the quality of service. Also it was a nice change from renting a hotel room. It felt like we got to support a local business who has their stuff together. That combo isnt always the case.

Inn was absolutely beautiful and well maintained. David and Karen were both really warm and welcoming. We loved the niche experience the inn had to offer. What attracted me the most was the greenery around and the way the property is maintained. Breakfast was really good (suggestion : portion size could be made a little large). But overall I would give this a 5. And would like to visit back
Our stay here was absolutely perfect. The inn keepers were truly kind people and were alwayse prompt with breakfast and it was truly delicious. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. The inn is in a perfect location to offer a quiet country feel while still being close enough to Placerville for whatever you need.
Our stay at Eden Vale was out of a fairy tale! We enjoyed breakfast in bed, a private outdoor soaking tub, and champagne on arrival (that we purchased before hand.) We also were able to take advantage of their wine club for a day where we enjoyed discounted wine tastings and bottles of wine from some of the near by wineries. I cant wait to stay at Eden Vale again!
A wonderful little place that my girlfriend and I were lucky to spend 2 nights at. The tub was my girlfriend’s favorite part, super relaxing. David and Karen were so extremely sweet, everything was communicated via text, such as breakfast or room accommodations. The property itself is beautiful and there is a lot to do, wish we had gone on the small boat on the pond. It’s location is nice, 10-20 minutes from the area’s big malls in case you want to shop. We hope to come back soon during the winter to try out the fireplace!!
If you’re an adult, and would like a good relaxing time the place to go is Eden Vale Inn. David and Karen are the owners and they go above and beyond 5 stars. The breakfast was amazing and I’m pretty sure the eggs come from their chickens they have there on their property. We would highly recommend this place and look forward to staying there again. Elizabeth and I were recently married and we chose this location to spend a lovely night. The room was beautiful and the landscape was gorgeous. Beautiful places to sit and enjoy the surroundings. We also got a couples massage there as well and felt extremely relaxed afterwards. This place is a hidden gem! We are definitely coming back!

My husband & I just returned from Eden Vale Inn this week for our anniversary and loved our stay. He have not had that relaxing of a time since our honeymoon in Hawaii in 2017. The owners were extremely friendly. Pricing is appropriate and great for the amenities that are entailed with your stay. The property is beautiful and so quiet. Each room has your own porch with a two person outdoor tub/spa. The individual homemade breakfasts on a tray delivered to your room the next morning, the fireplaces, the lighting in the rooms. Everything is fantastic. We will definitely be returning!

We stayed in the Cottonwood room for 2 nights in early June as part of a 3+ week fly-drive. The place itself is supremely relaxing, so it is unsurprising that some guests have chosen to celebrate their anniversary there; if we didnt live so far away (UK) we would do precisely that.The attention to detail that David and Karen have lavished on the Eden Vale Inn is impressive with all aspects taken into account. Having breakfast delivered to the room worked very well and although the breakfast menus are planned in advance, Karen changed the scones to a flavour that better suited me for our first breakfast.This is a great place with lovely grounds that called for an early morning walk around.Placerville, the nearby town, is most definitely worth a visit; we thoroughly enjoyed all the shops, galleries and the lovely town museum - until we called in there we hadnt known that this area is where the Californian goldrush started.
My wife and I really enjoyed getting to know David and Karen during our stay. The Inn and surrounding property is a serene haven with beautiful gardens, fountains and patios/decks. We really enjoyed an impromptu guitar jam with another guest who brought their guitar as we sat at the outdoor kitchen. The daily breakfast was perfect, delivered on the dot and just the right amount of food. And the outdoor fire pit overlooking the picturesque pond is a great place to watch the stars come out. If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle this is a perfect venue in the rolling hills of wine country. Thank you to the Eden Vale Inn team!
Honestly, Placerville is not high on my list of must visit places. So when our son and girlfriend gave us a gift certificate for one nights stay (after their successful visit), we had to add a night and check it out. Im happy to report our visit was surprisingly delightful. All the positive descriptions in the reviews are true so I wont repeat them all here. My personal faves were the robes, the outdoor soaking tubs, charging for my EV, local hikes, the peace and quiet and the surprising number of visible stars. Eden Vale is definitely a reason to return to the Gold Country.
My husband surprised me with a trip to Eden Vale for our honeymoon. The property is extremely beautiful and secluded with lovely gardens. Everything you can think of is provided and of the highest quality. Karen is so sweet and attentive to all the details. The breakfast was delicious I couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience.
Eden Vale Inn was truly delightful. David and Karen were great with communication, (which was not easy for them as we are from Australia so phone reception was difficult at times), making sure we had all the necessary information as we were coming in after hours. In addition checking on any other add-ons we wanted such as massages and dietary requirements.The room was perfect with everything even better than presented on the web, the outdoor hot tub etc a real special treat and we used it a lot. David and Karen were excellent hosts, very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was fresh and wholesome and we felt guilty not being able to eat all of the generous servings.The location is very handy to local tourism, such as Marshall Historic area(CA gold rush starting) yet away from the main towns and fwy so very peaceful, allowing one to just be able to relax by the fire, or pond without having to go anywhere.If we are ever back in the area we will definitely be staying at Eden Vale Inn again.

My husband and I came for our birthdays, as they are 3 days apart. We were instantly welcomed by the owners son who was so accommodating and informative. We then met his mother who was just the sweetest person. They really made us feel comfortable and welcomed the instant we got there. Once we arrived to our room we were amazed by the beauty of the room and the views from our balcony. We walked the grounds of the property and with each step came another breathtaking view. We booked massages and oh my goodness! What a little piece of tranquility and peace. The best massages we ever had! Then ended our night with a soak in the tub with our complimentary chocolates and champagne. This place is seriously a little piece of heaven on earth. The next morning we were awakened by a luxurious and delicious soufflé, pastry, fresh fruit, and delicious juice for breakfast. They really do a great job of making this place hard to leave. My husband and I couldn’t stop raving about it on the drive home and are eager to make this place an annual tradition to stay at. Thank you for the hospitality we loved every minute!
From the moment we walked into the office to meet David and Karen to check in, we felt right at home! The rooms were beautiful and very comfy beds! The grounds were breath taking and loved all of the little sitting areas to relax and enjoy the views! And the breakfasts were out of this world Karen - There was not a thing left on any of our plates!!! This will definitely be a place that we will return to in the future!! From start to finish the experience was great. The owners, David and Karen make you feel like you are family from the minute you arrive. The rooms are great. Our room was the Cypress, but we assume that all would be equally as great. If you are looking for a very quiet, romantic place to stay for a couple of nights, the Eden Vale Inn would most likely be a great fit. Another great feature is the homemade breakfasts that are delivered to your room each morning. We loved our stay and we will return.

My husband and I stayed two nights in The Madrone. The room was beautiful and very spacious. The lighting was nice and so fancy. :) Our room had a beautiful view of the pond which was so amazing. Both breakfasts were so good, we were very impressed. The grounds are stunningly beautiful and well kept. We used the Wine Pass for a day and it came in very handy, a great amenity to utilize if you enjoy wine tasting. The robes added a nice touch too! We definitely enjoyed our stay, plan on returning in the near future and recommend it!

We spent two nights at this Inn late March 2023. We absolutely loved the experience and plan to come back. The hosts were friendly and great at communicating also helping us when needed. My husband and I were looking for a little get-away to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and were so happy to stumble upon Eden Vale in our search. We loved that it was an adult only property and designed for romance! Their enhancements were so great, and really added some special touches to our celebration.The breakfast was delicious and well rounded. Our couples massages were so peaceful and relaxing and our check in and stay was well automated and so easy to navigate. Well definitely be returning and sending friends and family their way!
Great time here. The service was above average, and their communication was great. The outside tub had controls to fill it from inside which is convenient. We werent a fan of the bed or pillow but thats a thing of preference so I still give 5 stars.

Our stay at Eden Vale Inn was AMAZING! From the moment we pulled in we were in awe of how beautiful the property was. We met David and Karen as soon as we walked in, and they were the nicest couple ever. They were so kind, welcoming, and helpful with everything we needed. We also enjoyed our chats with them! The rooms are beautiful, we loved the privacy, and it was nice to have our own coffee bar. The kitchen we had access to was so cute, and we also had a personal kitchen that we were able to use. Also, the soaking tub was super nice and relaxing! Karen made the best breakfast every morning as well. Another nice thing about our stay is that Downtown Placerville is cute, and the restaurants we went to were pretty delicious. We have the best time ever, and we highly recommend this beautiful bed and breakfast!!!
I did a lot of research before picking Eden Vale. I was very intrigued by the bed and breakfast aspect and I loved the private breakfast. I loved the outdoor soaking tub and walking around the quiet property. It was very easy to find and the innkeepers were very friendly and accommodating to requests for gluten free breakfast. Their set up was very thoughtful. Everything from the refillable water bottles to the tubs to the lights to the outdoor kitchen and the pond. I would love to visit again!

Our room was well decorated and comfortable, we enjoyed the outdoor tub and the fire pit, breakfasts were delicious and David and Karen are super hosts. We visited three wineries and enjoyed several trips to Placerville for shopping and dinners. We will go back!

Could not have had a better experience. I am extremely familiar with this area and had no idea this was here until a recent trip with my significant other for an anniversary. Close to Placerville, Coloma and lotus.As great as all the surrounding wineries and trails are I would have been happy hanging around the property. Although simple the patio tub for two was great and romantic.The morning breakfasts were also fantastic and could have stood their own as a restaurant meal.Staff was great as well with a good sense of humor.This is a rural bed and breakfast not a Urban hotel but was well worth it and we will absolutely be back again!
My wife and I stayed for our 10 year anniversary. When we arrived there was a Happy Anniversary print-out with our name on it marking the room. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was served to the room each morning and was delicious. The property is quiet and peaceful, with a bit to see if you want to walk around and explore. The fire pit was fun and we had a great time chatting with another couple staying here. The outdoor soaking tub was fun and private as well.As part of our stay, we were provided a wine pass for the day. We used the free tasting at the David Gerard winery and it was a great experience. I highly recommend any couple looking for a romantic getaway consider staying at Eden Vale!
My husband and I stayed here for his birthday and it was a fantastic experience. Karen and David are so delightful and do a great job running the place. We got the couples deep tissue massage and our massage therapists did a great job too! We will be back very soon.
Beautiful environment. Clean, quiet and romantic. Each suite has its own private entrance & exit. Breakfasts were excellent. Great communication between owners if needed. Loved the things to do list. Private hot tub on patio area. All controls for suite were remote or by touch of a button. Plenty of eating/sitting areas, whether inside or patio, there was also an outdoor kitchen. It all added up to a wonderful stay.
I had a quick business trip and Eden Vale Inn made it more of a magical retreat weekend. The services was above and beyond including a welcome sign on my door, a run through of technology and how to use the giant soaking tub, and an AMAZING breakfast delivered to my door. It is a very nice room with a jacuzzi on the back patio. We also enjoyed our breakfast. We had pancakes, mixed fruit, and juice. We ordered Thai food via Door Dash for dinner. Eden Vale is only 20 minutes from Apple Hill. We would definitely stay at Eden Vale again and we look forward to the next time we can stay there.
This was are first time ever going to a B&B it was for our 20th anniversary.We didnt know what to expect.We were looking for a romantic getaway for the weekend. A place to relax and spend quality time together.This place did not disappoint .The moment we entered the grounds we felt sweeped away to a magical land Of tranquility and peacefulness.I could not believe this place was in our own backyard. The rooms were so accommodating and Massage spa on the premises. Made it so easy to get that right level of Pampering that we were look for.The Couples soaking tub in ever room set up the perfect ending to each night.We will be back and will make the place a regular retreat for as long as its there.

Have to start out by saying we were caught off guard by such an amazing experience and stay being 10 minutes from our home. David & Karen are personable, friendly and perfect hosts for couples. The property is beautiful with lush gardens, a pond with a row boat you can enjoy and even a outdoor kitchen if you feel like cooking in one night which we did. Everything about the stay was A+, intimate and beyond what we expected. We travel all over California to find unique stays for Anniversaries & Birthdays and I can say we will definitely be back.

My partner and I stayed at the Live Oak room over New Years weekend and had a fabulous stay! This is definitely a hidden gem for a great price! The owners/innkeepers, David and Karen, checked us in and were extremely polite, nice, and considerate. The property was so beautiful, with a nice pond, beautiful views, and little seating areas throughout the property. It was incredibly safe, cozy, and romantic. Our favorite part was the private outdoor soaking tub. We loved that it was outside but with curtains for privacy, and used the tub both nights we were there. We loved our stay so much, and are planning our next stay at the inn! Highly recommend.

We were there for only two nights, and immediately wished we had booked a longer stay.I also want to commend Karen and Davids customer service and communication - I called and asked for advice on where to dine and explore, and Karen gave ample options and tailored my experience to meet my needs. If I needed anything, I could either text the service number or call with the room phone.Eden Vale is just as beautiful in person as in the photos. If you need a romantic getaway, I highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast. There is no other place like it in Northern California - it truly is one of a kind.
We’ve been coming to Eden Vale for a number of years now and consistently relish our stays. This is the place we choose to retreat to for our wedding anniversary and have done so for a few years now (celebrated 15 years this year). Beautiful and delicious home cooked breakfasts brought to your room from which you can choose to eat in your room, out on your deck or patio, or on the common deck overlooking their idyllic gardens. David and Karen have been wonderful hosts over the years and are a big part of what we look forward to when we come. Great sense of humor, very accommodating, focused fully on making their guests’ stay as peaceful, relaxing, and hassle free as possible. It truly is our little taste of Eden 2-3 times a year to help us refresh and rediscover ourselves before returning home to the joyful chaos of our two young children. Also tons of great places to eat in the surrounding area, including historic downtown Placerville, Cameron Park, and nearby El Dorado Hills. Plenty of natural and historic destinations, including the American River and Sutter’s Fort Historic Park. Don’t know how we would have made it through the pandemic years without Eden Vale. We plan to return at least a couple of times per year. Thank you, David and Karen (and Sam the wonder dog) for these great years with you.
This property is absolutely beautiful and the owners/staff are wonderful. The breakfast was delicious (sourdough french toast w/ chicken sausage) and the bed was like sleeping on a pillow. Overall, we had the most tranquil stay at Eden Vale and would definitely stay again.

Convenient foothills location in a peaceful setting. Buildings and grounds are well maintained, and staff is friendly and responsive. Our room was spacious, clean, and quiet. We enjoyed our breakfast outside each morning, in the private garden area adjacent to the room. Will definitely stay again if/when we return to the area.
Karren & David are impeccable...Both gifted at expressing their care for us... It was out of this world.... A big part of our individual care was their insistence that none of our desires or even wishes went unmet... Its hard to see how it could have been a more enjoyable, in fact more rewarding experience...It gave us the much-needed rest we wanted and so much more...Karren & David are servants at heart and they demonstrate it at every opportunity...
Staying at Eden Vale Inn is an experience, not just a place to stay. The grounds are beautiful, the breakfasts are delicious, the soaking tubs are magical, the owners are funny and kind and very hospitable, and the overall atmosphere is serene and rejuvenating. I loved our weekend escape to this truly phenomenal retreat. We loved listening to the birds singing and splashing in the fountains while we sat on the patio eating breakfast every morning. We looked forward to relaxing in the tub in the evenings (they have wonderful bath bombs available for purchase!). We enjoyed walking around the grounds and playing card games during the day. I scheduled a massage (with Barb) on Sunday afternoon and it added so much to my experience. The spa room is so calming and absolutely lovely. Barb was great, and I felt so relaxed when she was done! I really can’t recommend Eden Vale Inn enough! In fact, we can’t wait to return!!FYI, we stayed in Live Oak. It’s a smaller room, but I wouldn’t hesitate to select it again. It was charming, so clean and comfortable, and felt secluded. I LOVED the location and especially enjoyed our patio. It was private and lush and filled with birds and sounds of nature. I thoroughly enjoyed everything about it.Thank you David and Karen! You were both so wonderful!

The setting is idyllic, the rooms are charming, and David and Karen are warm, hospitable, and clever. And they have thought of everything: plenty of coffee, lots of wine glasses, easy bedside charging stations, white noise device for sleeping, and on and on. Oh, and one of the most comprehensive online guest and area guides that I have ever seen. And how lovely to have your names on your suite door just to make you feel even more welcome. Attention to detail is becoming rare. How nice to see a couple at the top of their game.
Stayed in the live Oak with my newlywed wife for one evening. It was incredibly comfortable, a good space to start our honeymoon at. The bed was nice, the showers were wonderful, and breakfast was amazing (even when gluten free, according to my celiac partner).
We really enjoyed the peaceful setting and nice rooms. We stayed in a room with an outdoor tub and that was wonderful. Breakfast was good as well. Only suggestion is the bed was not very comfortable and other guests staying there told us the same.Despite that I would come back for the peaceful reset.
This has got to be my favorite bed and breakfast I have ever had the pleasure to experience. Everything was wonderful from the meet-and-greet (friendly hosts and dedicated doggy named Sam), the grounds (beautiful and lush landscaping, lots of relaxing sitting areas, common-use fire pit and outdoor kitchen and even a pond with a paddle boat), the breakfast (amazing, unique and full of love daily) to the amazing and private outdoor soaking tub for 2. My husband and I stayed 3 nights but then spent some time seriously considering if we had the budget to live there for a year. I am so grateful for their offerings and am hopeful to return again in years to come. I’ll also be recommending this for anyone and especially those who have dogs of their own because a few of their rooms are dog friendly as well. Love this place!
This place really is a little slice of heaven! The grounds are gorgeous, the deep soaking tubs are so relaxing, and the couple running the place are incredibly friendly. And the breakfast delivered to your room in the morning....delicious. We cant wait to come back!

Eden Vale Inn is truly an amazing place. From the rooms to the beautiful grounds to the people…it was all top notch. We had our dream elopement here 02.22.22 and it was spectacular! David & Karen were so accommodating and their recommended photographer @samferrandphotography captured our special day so perfectly. We couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. Eden Vale was the perfect combination of a B&B and a 5 star hotel! We stayed in a beautiful suite that felt luxurious. And to make it better the inn keepers have thought of everything, including stocking the kitchenette with extra plates, glasses, and flatware. It was such a relaxing time! We will 100% be back again.
Eden Vale is an amazing little gem nestled into the foothills of the Sierras. The grounds are beautiful. Our room was cozy, clean, and quiet and the easy to use room lighting switches were a nice convenience. The breakfast delivered to our room each morning was wonderful and thoughtfully prepared.We will definitely stay here again.
I was looking for a romantic getaway that was nearby to take my girlfriend for her birthday. During my search I was lucky enough to come across this little gem! Eden Vale Inn exceeded our expectations at every turn! The beautiful grounds, friendly and helpful staff, super clean and romantic rooms, outdoor soaking tubs and amazing breakfast delivered right to our door in the morning! We will definitely be visiting again next time we have a special occasion to celebrate or just want to get away for a night or two. Thank you EVI for making our trip feel extra special!
Eden Vale Inn is truly magical! My daughter’s wedding and stay was just perfect! David and Karen made the day stress free and special and from what I heard, breakfast is delicious. The grounds around the inn cannot be described in mere words as they are beyond beautiful. Best to experience yourself!
My fiancé and I stayed for 4 nights at this “little bit of Heaven on earth” and we already miss it. The property itself offers a feeling of peace and tranquility. With a beautiful landscape, quiet atmosphere, and wonderful hospitality, it really is paradise. We took the row boat out on their pond, explored the trails, and enjoyed a glass of champagne at sunset. Winding down in the deep soak tub was an added bonus and the bed was so comfortable! (The water quality there was also amazing.) Personally, waking up to Karen’s phenomenal breakfast in the morning was my favorite part. Man, does she know how to cook! Best breakfast I’ve ever had. Although, what made this an unforgettable experience was how welcoming David, Karen, and the Eden Vale Team were. That includes Sam the Wonderdawg! We’ve stayed at several high-end and 4-star places within California and Hawai’i but nothing can compare to the Eden Vale Inn. We’re forever grateful for the incredible experience. We’ll be back!
We had a very pleasant stay at Eden Vale Inn. The property is peaceful, scenic and very relaxing. The hosts are inviting and informative, and had great suggestions for dining and activities in the area. The stay includes a wine club pass that gives you wine club privileges at a dozen or so different vineyards - this was extremely useful and saved lots on tasting fees. A delicious breakfast was promptly delivered to our room every morning. We had a lovely time eating breakfast and drinking coffee on our balcony. Their fresh juices are also fantastic. The rooms are very cozy and tasteful. Each room also comes with an Amazon Fire stick, so you can log into Netflix, HBO etc. The large soaking tubs are extremely relaxing, especially after a massage. The masseuse they are contracted with is also incredible. I would highly recommend taking advantage of the spa services. Overall a great stay and we will definitely come back.
Everyone was friendly, everything was clean and beautiful. They were accommodating to my dog and he had his own bowls and bed. The breakfast was amazing. The best part was we are an lgbt couple and we felt completely accepted. Great night stay and thank you for the much needed relaxation.
Edenvale is an oasis! We loved everything about our stay. Every room is inviting, private and luxurious. The private patios and decks are so peaceful, looking out over lush green gardens. The innkeepers are so kind and accommodating and the breakfast was fresh and delicious! We can’t wait to return. Thanks Karen and David for making our stay so nice.
We really enjoyed our overnight stay at Eden Vale Inn. It was the perfect getaway despite only being only 20 minutes away from home. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly David and Karen and then enjoyed relaxing massages from Barb. We enjoyed sitting outside by the pond in the evening and brought some snacks to make our own charcuterie board. One of my favorite parts of our quick stay was soaking in the outdoor tub in the morning while drinking my coffee and listening to the birds chirp away. Breakfast was delivered right on time and was so delicious. We definitely plan on coming back!

The inn owners, David and Karen, were incredibly nice and helpful, making sure we felt comfortable and that the room was to our liking. Eden Vale has become our favorite place to retreat! The team was very accommodating and very quick to respond with any questions we had. We loved how they were a simple text message away! Our room (Gray Pine) was very clean and had all our favorite features (kitchenette, private hot tub, big comfy bed, cold AC, spacious room etc.)My favorite part of the stay was waking up to breakfast! Each dish was curated thoughtfully and left us happily impressed. They didnt mind accommodating our Kosher preferences which was a considerate touch.We left Eden Vale with more than we expected. Intentional time well spent together, new friends, happy tummies, and blessed hearts. Mahalo David, Karen, and team for a memorable experience. 5 STARS!
It was beyond excellent. It was immaculate. Quiet, fully of nature with tweeting birds. There were plenty of outdoor areas to sit and relax, including a firepit. They had smores for purchase if wanted. Breakfasts were so nice and fresh. Given the chickens on property, I assume we got the freshest! The rooms are perfect. Every amenity you can want. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of privacy. Owners were super nice and helpful as needed. They pay a lot of attention to detail, including a very easy communication via text system, and door key codes so you dont lose a real key. Property is secure too, gate is locked in early eve. It was a wonderful experience!
Everything was sparkling clean, and decorated with love. The inn is beautifully landscaped with tranquility in mind. Breakfast was delicious!And, last but not least, the innkeepers were awesome.
My husband and I decided to take a weekend trip and I have to say that Eden Vale inn exceeded our expectations. The owners were so friendly and welcoming, the room was gorgeous, and the property was beautiful! The couples tub was probably one of our favorite things. The room was extremely clean and fresh. We will for sure be returning and I highly recommend this place. We left feeling so much more relaxed and we cant wait to come back!
Absolutely loved my stay here! Booked a weekend stay I had for an out of town wedding and it was just as beautiful as the photos! A very unique and tranquil setting with ultra comfortable rooming accommodations. You can tell the owners put thought into everything they do here from the gorgeous landscaping to the bedding they use. If youre thinking of staying here do yourself a favor and book! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Eden Vale Inn where we came to celebrate our Baby Moon. Karen was super hospitable and made the most delicious breakfasts! I’m gluten free and was so excited to find not only an edible waffle but also a scone and granola that were beyond scrumptious. The property is quiet and cozy and we enjoyed sitting by the pond and outdoor fireplace. My favorite was the outdoor soaking tub, which we thoroughly enjoyed, especially being pregnant since I can’t do jacuzzi’s. Best also was our massages by Barb, pregnant ladies… you can lay on your tummy for the massage!!! The special pillow to accommodate my 8 month bump was bliss. Thank you for a lovely mini vacation!
So wonderful! Had our anniversary here this last weekend, and the room was fantastic! Paid for the night to remember package, definitely was a night to remember. Roses on the bed, champagne and glasses waiting for us. Breakfast was delicious! 10/10! Definitely recommend getting the more premium rooms with the private soaking tubs
Had a wonderful 3 night stay. Enjoyed the room and property amenities from the private outdoor tub to the outdoor fire pit. The breakfast every morning was tasty and fresh. We had a table near our door so we could enjoy eating outside every morning. Also a great location near historic towns, good restaurants and wineries and hiking.
We had such a relaxing and wonderful time! We were there on our wedding night. The place is absolutely gorgeous and we were treated well by everyone who works there including the owners. The breakfast was delicious and the scenery is tranquil. The bed in our room (Madrone) was super comfy...we like soft beds, so if you are the same you will sleep great! We loved having the bathing tub on the patio for a romantic setting and also loved the big shower we could both fit in together. We would highly recommend staying here!
Eden Vale Inn is so beautiful and relaxing. A great location not too far off Highway-50 with walking paths, tranquil views, and luxurious rooms. Our breakfast was so delicious! Everyone we met was extremely kind and helpful.
This place truly is a hidden gem! Perfect place for a quick romantic getaway in the Sacramento area. The property is peaceful, the outdoor bath was fantastic, and the room had lots of thoughtful amenities. I also appreciated that bath products were available to buy since we forgot some. The only downside of our stay was that with The Juniper room there isn’t much view of the nice property, but then that’s why it’s the least expensive room. But regardless, still worth every penny. We had a great stay here and would definitely come back.
My husband and I visited Eden Vale for a little getaway to celebrate our 10th anniversary and his birthday. We had a wonderful stay and felt so relaxed and refreshed while we were there. The hosts David and Karen and their son were really lovely and had great recommendations for things to do in the area. Breakfasts were delicious every time. We 100% plan to come back for another visit!
The rooms and grounds are beautiful. I loved that we had the ability to speak to the office through texting. Everyone in the office were kind and professional. They were very mindful of my food allergies and amazed me with the ability to make delicious gourmet meals every morning. I look forward to returning in the future.
The Eden Vale Inn is the best romantic hideaway in California! Its the perfect retreat for couples of any age who want gorgeous surroundings and a room with all the romantic touches - from a fireplace to push-button romance lighting. The beds have luxurious linens and every room has its own private his and her tub. The owners, David and Karen, are so wonderful and make you feel like royalty. I cant say enough about this fabulous place. Please, go ahead and book your stay. You wont be disappointed, youll be dazzled! P.S. They also have a delightful woodland setting for weddings!
From the moment we arrived it was an amazing experience seeing the place was beautiful. Customer service was top tier showed us the room we were staying in and it was just a dream. Met all expectations, very clean and homely feel . Food was great and they came very timely. My fiancé and I enjoyed our stay and plan to come back again . Gave us great wedding ideas as well . The hosts of Eden Vale Inn, David and Karen, go above and beyond the standards of excellence you would expect to find at a bed and breakfast. From check in to check out, you will find they care a great deal about their guests experience. Breakfasts are excellent and are catered to dietary needs. My wife and I are vegetarian and they substituted plant based sausage for each mornings breakfast. They even asked what size we would each like our robes to be! This was our third time staying at Eden Vale, and it certainly wont be our last.
Leave your kids, the suburbs and your worries behind. Out here there’s nothing but peace and quiet.Our suite was the gray pine and for inquiring minds, this room overlooks the entrance to the inn. Robes upon request, as are the masseuses. Yes! There is absolutely an on-site spa room where I thoroughly enjoyed a deep tissue massage before a soak in our giant tub.You are in the middle of the country, so Uber and DoorDash are not going to be your best bet. We ended up using a cab service to shuttle us to and from a Wedding we were attending. Keep that in mind!Breakfast is a set menu every morning and it was OK. I’m not big on eggs so I ended up not eating breakfast the second morning. I didn’t realize we wouldn’t be able to choose what we wanted, and I was secretly disappointed. I wasn’t there on the day waffles were being served. lol.There was a shared kitchenette where we could store the drinks we brought, and any food if we wanted to.The bed was of the utmost comfort, which is probably like the most important detail. The shower was just as fabulous as the outdoor tub. The room was incredibly welcoming, serene and very cozy. And the views, just wow. Lovely grounds and a nice welcoming staff.OK, so what’s an honest review without some cons right? I mean nothing major, but details matter. With that said, the towels were rough. Literally. Like sandpaper.So do yourself a favor and bring your own bath towels because I think they might not use fabric softener, which is probably to conserve.Getting out of that nice dual head shower or that nice deep, soaking tub and using a rough towel is no fun! Kind of ruins the experience, ya know? Not for nothing but considering I think we paid $500 plus, for our second night there, I mean fluffy towels should be a no-brainer...maybe the towels are better in other rooms. I don’t know. All I know is our towels were bad enough for me to mention it.And before anyone, cops, an attitude, I am California born and raised. So fire season is not something I am a stranger to. With that said, I don’t know if I needed a post-it on my candle, telling me open flames were prohibited. I get it. We are surrounded by dry timber. I thought the “no open flame policy” was for the outside deck area…I know I’m not the only one who brings travel candles for ambience. And while I did acquiesce to their request on the post-it, obviously, I was slightly annoyed. But since we are guests on someone’s property, we threw away our $200 candle.… I’m just kidding! Lol Just a minor nuisance but yeah, leave your candles at home if you’re going to stay here. AND yes…my responsible self never left the room with the candle lit. It was blown out anytime we left… I noticed they also unplugged my hair straightener, which, for the record was also off. But something tells me their paranoia about fires is more than the average bear...understandable. 100%… I just admittedly have to say it felt like my mom came into my room while I was gone lol! Leaving notes and unplugging straighteners…mom, that you?Okay I’m done. You’ll love it here. Just leave your candles and bring your towels and you’ll be good!
Very pleasant experience.Room and ambiance were perfect. Everything was clean and kept up. Wish I had taken pictures, but the Gray room we had was as listed. Was the perfect spot for our Valentines get away and breakfast this morning was the perfect ending. Definitely will be going back.
We stayed for a week to visit family and friends. The Inn was just far enough out of town to feel remote, but close enough to town to make the drive seem trivial. The place was very private and quite. We had 2 entrances/exits, one to the main lobby and the other to the outside. Breakfast was excelent and healthy. Egg souffle was outstanding.
My wife and I had an amazing weekend at Eden Vale Inn. David & Karen were so welcoming. The breakfast served every morning is fresh and delicious. They even have a nice wine selection if you want to grab a bottle or two or seven. They really cater to the guest experience. It’s the perfect place to relax. If you’re a couple that wants to get away for a weekend, Eden Vale is the place.
We chose the Eden Vale Inn for our “Babymoon” vacation. I’m not sure where to start, our stay was absolutely wonderful.We had planned to stay at a completely different resort of similar pricing but it did not include breakfast or much of anything, once we saw this adorable Inn and everything it included - we cancelled our reservation at the original location and booked the stone pine room at Eden Vale! We had AMAZING breakfast brought to our room each morning, unlimited filtered and UV treated well water, a private outdoor tub (so relaxing), a fireplace and a cozy little room. We thought it was well worth the price! We are from New England and were reminded of home with many of the smells and sounds around the inn - it was wonderful and filled our hearts. Very quaint and eclectic decor around the inn, we especially loved the lights at night.My husband added the babymoon package and that was wonderful. Sparkling cider, local truffles, bath fizzies and massages for us both! This was the perfect way to spoil ourselves and relax in nature before life gets wild with our first child on the way. Thank you so much to David & Karen (and Sam!) for welcoming us the moment we got there. They were so friendly and helpful yet they kept to themselves majority of the time. We would highly recommend this inn!
David and Karen are amazing individuals! We actually had the pleasure to getting married here on the property as well as officiated by David. Everything went beautifully! The property is gorgeous and we loved all of the attention to detail and character that was put into everything! After the ceremony we had champagne and flower petals decorating our room. The shower as well as the outdoor bathtub were great! Breakfast was lovely the next morning ! And Sam the Inn dog was adorable! Thank you so much Karen and David! You’re the best!
My husband and I enjoyed our getaway to Eden Vale this week. We pre-ordered champagne and it was in our room chillin when we arrived. Check in was easy and thorough. We enjoyed the beautiful grounds. It was quiet and restful. I let them know of my gluten and dairy sensitivities and Karen was amazing, no issues. Only twenty minutes into town for dinner! Jonah, Karen and David - you have no idea how much this getaway meant for us. Gratitide and Grace flowing!
We celebrated our 40th Wedding Anniversary at Eden Vale Inn and it was perfect in every way.Karen and David are wonderful hosts at this romantic get-away. Karen’s delicious homemade breakfasts and David’s meticulous upkeep to the grounds are 5 stars. We enjoyed the Gray Pine room very much. It was spotless clean, comfortable and met all needs. My room was great in every way, it was clean, smelled fresh (not like bleach), it was furnished & decorated very nicely, but not pretentious. The outdoor surrounding grounds were beautiful during the day with countless varieties of plants, flowers and trees. At night it was great as well, they did a really good job with their exterior lighting, it was warm soft light, not to bright so it wouldnt hamper late night stargazing. The sound from the water fountains sprinkled about the property, and the glow from the fire in the firepit also made for some quality time spent outdoors there. Last but not least the people who work there were great, and the breakfasts were fantastic!
Eden Vale Inn exceeded our expectations! We decided to elope for our wedding and it was the best decision we made! David and Karen are fantastic, and the breakfast was so delicious and they adapted the menu to Vegan. The Gardens are so relaxing and gorgeous. We plan to come back for our one year anniversary!
We loved our 3-day weekend at Eden Vale Inn. Everything was all set for us when we arrived, we got a bottle of wine from the front desk, and the guidebook gave us great advice on where to grab dinner. Spent the weekend strolling around the beautiful property, rowing out on the pond, exploring the downtown (highly recommend Amore Mio for food & espresso, and browsing the antique shops), going on an easy hike, and taking hot baths in the private outdoor bath setup. Also just napped and watched movies. A great place to slow down and relax. Would definitely stay again!
Very private, quiet, comfortable and friendly. Excellent room, food and staff. The grounds are very well landscaped and comforting after a long day. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and would gladly return.
My boyfriend and I loved the privacy of the Madrone room. Everything about our stay was wonderful. The row boat and private tub were definitely highlights, as well as the phenomenal breakfast that was prepared. Thank you so much, Karen, for not putting cantaloupe in the fruit salad!! We will absolutely be back, most likely when it is cooler outside. I can only imagine how beautiful the property is while its rainingoutside!

Lovely place to stay. The grounds are beautiful and the room well-appointed. Service was amazing and I only wish we were able to take advantage of the delicious (sounding) breakfast. We were up and out too early every morning but we had coffee and scones at our door in the morning! Highly recommended!
My husband and I just eloped at this inn and we fell in love! The grounds are absolutely beautiful, our room was stunning and so comfortable, and our wedding day was perfect. David and Karen are 2 of the most wonderful people Ive ever met and I couldnt recommend this place more for a wedding/romantic getaway/whatever you want!
My husband and I stayed here last weekend. I happened to find this place by chance, searching for romantic getaways in Northern California. The website is put together very nicely and it actually looks just like the pictures! We also liked getting away without going too far either. When we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff as well as the owners and Sam. We stayed in the Gray Pine room, it was superb...clean, comfy, with nice decor and romantic. The bed was super comfy and was King size. I loved how everything had a button! From filling the soaking tub to turning on the fire place. That evening we ordered Door Dash for dinner, yes they deliver here! We also purchased a beer and bottle of wine from the Inn. I had the Rose wine and it was quite delicious! We soaked in the tub later that evening, it was so relaxing to just soak and enjoy the dark, quiet night. The next morning for breakfast we were served frittata, roasted potatoes, fresh fruit, juice and orange-chocolate chip ricotta scones. Everything was delicious, especially the scones!!! I have to admit I was a little hesitant at first because orange can be such an overpowering flavor but that was not the case here. The scone was light, fluffy and moist. A real treat! We walked the grounds, taking in the scenery. We enjoyed all the nooks and crannies. We even checked out the chickens! We left to visit Old Folsom, walking the strip and visiting the shops. We had this great pizza for lunch. We returned to the Inn and got ready for our massages. We signed up for the couples deep tissue massage. Let me just say it was heavenly. We retreated to our room, relaxed and enjoyed our leftover pizza. Followed by another soak in the tub.The next morning for breakfast we had a Belgian waffle, pineapple sausage, juice and apple-cinnamon scones. Also an amazing breakfast! The waffle, lightly sweetened, crisp outside and fluffy center...with I think a hint of nutmeg. You can really taste the love and care they put into making the these delicious meals. The portion sizes werent bad either.The electronic guide book and texting feature was super helpful.Our romantic getaway was perfect and well definitely be back.
Our stay at Eden Vale was wonderful! My husband and I stayed there for a mini honeymoon (minimoon) and everything was perfect. The staff were friendly. The rooms were luxurious, clean, and offers lots of privacy. Each room has a private japenese soaking tub! We also got deep tissue massages and Bard and Cristina were fantastic. Our stay of relaxing, romantic, and perfect. We highly recommend this place!

Eden Vale is a lovely inn. Rooms are very comfortable and HVAC is controlled individually in each room. Loved that we can take the breakfast tray anywhere we want on the property -- overlooking the pond was a lovely start to the day. Owners are charming and helpful in every way. We will be back!
David and Karen squeezed me in the night I booked as I was in the area for work. The place is cozy, has terrific amenities and attention to detail is superb. I loved walking around the property and sitting in the beautiful garden. I plan to stay again the next time I’m in the Sacramento area.
My husband and I really enjoyed our weekend stay here, the rooms are exceptional and the breakfast each morning was delicious. The property is beautiful and even though there were other guests staying there at the same time we rarely saw another person. It is a great place for a quiet get away and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in the foothills.
Our stay was very quaint, personal and in a very friendly atmosphere. For a B&B, it had all the amenities and was very clean. We liked it so much we booked a third night. The only downside is we had to move to a smaller room, but Stone Pine still had all the perks the Madrone had.
Im not a picky person, but this place was GREAT. The beds where very comfortable, showers very nice, and the resort was very relaxing. The most amazing thing was there breakfasts. Best breakfasts I have had and what top it off was, Karen and Dave are two wonderful people. You cant go wrong staying at there little place of heaven.
It was a lovely experience! We are vegan, and they graciously prepared a delicious vegan breakfast for us including scones. The property is beautiful and the room very comfortable. We loved that we were able to enjoy it with our two large dogs.
What a wonderful find. My wife and I were celebrating our 2nd anniversary. We were a little worried with the current public health conditions surrounding Covid-19. Karen and David (owners) did a tremendous job with ensuring social distancing and sanitation/disinfecting issues. They were attentive to all of our needs and very personable. The food they prepared for breakfast was delicious on both of our morning!! The room and grounds were simply stunning. lots of places to explore, and many nooks to just sit and enjoy the beautiful environment. Even took their boat out for a spin around the pond. Very relaxing. Will definitely return!!

I have to agree with everything I read about in reviews before I went to Eden Vale. Breakfast - Phenomenal, Room - Fantastic, Service - Impeccable, Property - Perfect. I cant imagine staying any other place in the Foothills, and it is my choice the next time we need a night or 2 away to just relax. The private outdoor soaking tub has to be the standout feature. Perfect for a cool night. If I could I would install one at my house immediately. They have some great tips for wineries, dining, and anything else in the area. Make sure to get some recommendations.
If you stay here, you will not be disappointed! Room was clean and well appointed. Bed was very comfortable with soft sheets. The breakfast every morning was very good and filling. The grounds of the Inn are absolutely beautiful. It is the perfect retreat from the hustle of everyday life. I am always looking for places like this for my travels. I highly recommend staying here!
The grounds were so lush with mature trees and plantings and lots of trickling fountains. It truly did look like the Garden of Eden!!! The innkeepers, David and Karen, were very welcoming and gracious and made us feel at home. This included welcoming Gus, our giant golden retriever. Breakfasts were fabulous and set up on trays that we could retrieve from the kitchen--to name some--Belgium waffles, spinach frittata, lots of fresh berries and delicious home baked scones.We were so relaxed and sorry to leave. We will be back again!

My husband and I visited this place for a quick getaway and returned the following weekend, with my dad and stepmom for an early Fathers Day suprise! The property is unforgettable, the atmosphere is amazing and the owners Dave and Karen are top notch hosts. They are extremely welcoming and do everything to make your stay the most enjoyable. The rooms are exceptionally modern and immaculate. The 2 person soaking tub was a bonus. Our stay was relaxing and rejuvenating. We definetly will be returning in the near future.

We stayed here for a weekend getaway for our anniversary & it was wonderful! The room was nice, the bed was comfortable, & the breakfasts were delicious. The hosts were extremely friendly & helpful. Even the property was well maintained with a pond & row boat, walking path, & poultry palace (chicken coup). The location is tucked away, but only about 10-15 min. from restaurants & shopping. We highly recommend this B&B & will definitely be coming back!
Eden Vale Inn is a great romantic hideaway. We visited Eden Vale Inn for a rafting trip and it was the perfect place to relax after the adventure. The outdoor tub, the dedicated way to get to our room during covid-19, the touch and feel of the room, the delicious and home-style breakfast are all great, not to mention the friendly host and hostess! Eden Vale is a home away from home with gorgeous gardens, spa-like experience in your room, outdoor tubs, and a familial atmosphere that makes you feel welcome. You can eat out or cook in - we love using the grill and cooking for pleasure on vacation. And the mini-lake with rowboat is delightful as well. We keep coming back because it beats all the other places we try to go to. Its simply the best.
I would highly recommend staying at the Eden Vale Inn. My wife and I recently spent our anniversary there and could not be happier with the room and service. The staff were very friendly and provided a cozy atmosphere to stay in. The room was spectacular and the outside tub topped off our experience. The property was well maintained and beautiful. The location is close to AppleHill which made commuting very easy. We will definitely be staying at Eden Vale again when we are in the area.
We stayed in their gray pine room!The room- the bed was incredibly soft and comfortable. The room super clean, the decor updated and nice. The bathroom modern and sleek. Came with a cute fireplace inside and the outdoor soaker tub on the patio was my favorite feature!The food- they delivered breakfast to your room every morning and it was sooo delicious! Homemade and very well presented.Communication- we opted for text messaging and we loved it! They would let us know when the food was about to arrive and they would ask what beverages we wanted the previous day.The grounds- well kept and beautiful. Located on 10 acres, they have a cute pond with a row boat, an area for a large gathering of people around the fire pit and enough space to feel like you’re the only couple there.I’m from el dorado hills, a neighboring town, and I had no clue Eden vale inn existed - it’s that hidden and remote! We loved it!We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to relax and feel pampered!Thank you Eden vale!
Loved it and cant wait to return! Beautiful rooms with private secluded patios where you can sit peacefully and enjoy the beautiful gardens and walking paths. Set in the foothills, but close to wine tasting, restaurants and shopping. Enjoyed an amazing massage from their spa services. It was hard to leave this special place.
What a beautiful and romantic inn! We stayed in the Cottonwood room, which was Lovely, both inside and out!The bed was comfy, it was nice having a sofa to sit on, the double sinks in the bathroom, double shower heads (both rain and removable) in the shower, the mini shared kitchen right outside our door, the supplied drinking water to fill your bottle up with, the modern and easy to use lighting (theres actually even a button for romantic lighting :) ) and electronics, the fireplace, the nature sounds options on the tv, the french doors that lead to the private outdoor tub (and rubber duckie, lol), the enchanting garden area with our own private table/chairs, the short path to the inns own pond and rowboat, the fire-pit that overlooks the pond, the beautiful grounds, the delicious fresh made breakfast brought to our door in the morning, the friendly owners/team, great communication...from start to finish, everything was Wonderful!They have lots of helpful recommendations for things to do in the area too. We opted for a romantic dinner at The Independent (I recommend making reservations in advance and ask for a booth when you make them), apple orchards and a walk along the American River.If youre looking for a romantic getaway, I highly recommend this place!!

Eden Vale Inn is a very special place to get away and stay. The innkeepers/owners, Karen and David, are exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout the reservation, arrival, stay, and checkout processes. The entire property is clean, well maintained, and managed perfectly to put your mind at ease and allow you to relax and unwind.We stayed here the first weekend of June for our Baby Moon after California pandemic restrictions were eased and our stay was perfect. My fiancé is vegetarian and was 8 months pregnant at the time of our stay and she loved every moment. Karen and David go the extra mile in accommodating dietary restrictions. Pro-tip: if Karen offers you seconds of her homemade scones, just say yes.My fiancé also had a prenatal massage during our stay which is a great added service they offer. She says that she hasn’t felt as good or slept as well the entire time she’s been pregnant as she did while we were at the inn. A weekend at Eden Vale Inn was exactly what we both needed before becoming parents for the first time. All we need now is to plan our next trip back to Eden.
This was a great find! The hosts were super personable and a pleasure to meet. They were great in their recommendations from suggesting we stop and grab dinner before our arrival. From the second I came across the place, to booking, to the communication prior to arrival, check in, our stay and check out was perfect. The place exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the Madrone room and it was spacious, clean and loved the privacy. The special touches did not go unnoticed. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Thank you for sharing your place with us.
Summary: lovely little spot close to Placerville and Apple Hill. Very relaxing experience with close access to hiking, wineries, antique shopping, and Apple Hill.Location: easy to spot off the road, quiet location overlooking nature scenery. The drive itself goes through some windy roads and cliffs, be prepared if you’re not used to driving in the foothills. About 15-20 minute drive to downtown Placerville and Apple Hill. The grounds of the bed and breakfast itself are a good size that allows a nice morning 5-10 minute stroll. Plenty of spots to sit down and enjoy a meal spread throughout the grounds.Food: the bed and breakfast provides fresh homemade breakfasts every morning. The food was promptly delivered and tasted great. Excellent way to start every morning. Portion sizes were good, not enough to make you “stuffed” but just right.Service: the owners were really friendly and fun to chat with, breakfast was delivered promptly, questions were answered in a timely manner.Cost: price was reasonable in comparison to other bed and breakfast spots in Northern California. Definitely more affordable than those closer to the Bay Area.Amenities: rooms have a very nice, renovated bathroom, comfortable beds, Amazon Fire TVs, ample closet pace, patio space, and last but definitely not least the soaking tubs are a great way to unwind after a day of hiking or visiting Apple Hill (note: we had the Juniper room). Room size is okay for relaxing at the end of the day or resting in between trips, the room is just big enough for your bed, luggage, and space to eat a meal. Room refrigerator big enough for about one gallon jug of apple cider and a five pound bag of apples (speaking from very specific experience), bring an extra cooler if you want to stock up on apple cider.Things to do: while Apple Hill is definitely the main attraction in the area, there are also plenty of wineries, and hiking spots. Downtown Placerville has many cute antique shops to visit and can easily take up a day.

Eden Vale was perfect for a romantic weekend away. The fire place and the soaking tub gave us a chance to relax without leaving the comfort of the room. The breakfast, served daily, surpassed our expectations! The family/staff was warm and welcoming and were there when we needed them, they even had s’mores available for the fire pit!

Our stay was so peaceful and relaxing! Each morning they had coffee and a little later, an AMAZING breakfast just outside our door! We took our coffee down to the pond and watched the fish jumping and all kinds of birds, humming birds were my favorite! What an amazing way to start each day! My teen kids, sister and I stayed at Eden Vale Inn for my birthday on July 16. It was such a treat to stay there, especially after glamping in 95 degree weather at American River Resort. (We’re from San Francisco and used to 60 degree weather.) We were greeted by the owner, David; however, due to Covid-19 most of the communication was done by text. We stayed in the Cottonwood Room which fits 4 people. I loved soaking in the outdoor tub overlooking the garden (there are curtains for privacy), breakfast was served in our private patio and especially enjoyed the relaxing & peaceful ambiance of the garden. We also loved the shower! There is a quaint area near the pond that’s used for weddings where my kids surprised me with an acoustic birthday song. For dinner, we drove 20 minutes to town in Placerville. There are a lot of choices of restaurants on Main St. Overall, David was accommodating and we want to come back! Even if this B&B is for couples, it’s ok to bring your family as long as you respect the grounds.

This review for is Grey Pine, which after staying in I have deemed as the best room and don’t need to see any others.It had a level of privacy being up against the parking lot and Madrona rooms. It’s bath is very isolated away from anyone. It was wonderfully private and romantic. The room was clean, toasty, and the perfect size. The property was beautiful. Check in and out was a breeze, breakfast was delivered with dietary restrictions followed. We received wonderfully relaxing massages from Karin. During covid, couples massages cannot occur, but we were ok with that. A getaway without having to get far away from home was amazing.They feature local wineries and had a local champagne for the romance package, and it was delish! Thank you for the hospitality!
Over priced, property in disarray. Staff avoided any personal communication other than check in. Sam the dog very loud and skittish barked through our check in at a couple. Food was Costco. Stairs everywhere, NOT accessible if you are in a wheelchair or walker. The fire pit pit was a No- Go as where the smores. We were looking forward to meeting the other guest. Dont be fooled by the web site photos. The staff did accommodate my request for flowers, Thank you. I understand being under staffed and the current situation the community is going through. Still not worth the price.

I’ve stayed here for two days for my boyfriends birthday and I highly recommend this place. David and Karen were very helpful and professional and they took care of all our requests. Their property is so peaceful and beautiful and the breakfast is very delicious. It was also very easy to communicate with them. The rooms are well designed and clean.
On “top romantic hotels in Northern California” lists for a reason. (Seriously Google it you’ll find this place)A secluded (quiet) area with beautiful scenery and cozy rooms. Outdoor private spa tub was lovely with the cool night air and a glass of wine.Splurged on the “Romance Package” for our anniversary and arrived to a beautifully prepped suite complete with gorgeous flowers, crackling fire, ambience lighting and music, and a chilled bottle of champagne. If you are looking to “Treat Yo’self” and your partner I would definitely recommend this getaway.Covid wise it felt very safe. Most of the “communal” type areas are outdoors and it’s not a crowded place anyway (most couples obviously just plan to retreat to their private balconies) so you won’t be in close proximity to people pretty much ever. Food is served covered at your door. The rooms were perfectly cleaned. I am a paranoid person and tend to self-clean high touch areas in any hotel room I stay at, this was the first time I felt I didn’t need to. When there isn’t even dust above the door you know it’s clean.Side note: this millennial appreciates that the staff text you and that you can text back any needs etc. Cuz you know none of us want to use the phone and talk to people while relaxing on vacation haha.
David and Karen met us at the front door and spent a least 15 minutes talking with us at check -in. Then David gave us a tour of the room and explained how everything worked and what services were available. The room was very comfortable and the campus and surrounding area were very quiet.
Wonderful service, staff was so friendly and went out of their way to make our trip special. The grounds are stunning and the amenities are truly top notch. We stayed in the Gray Pine room and had a fantastic stay. Cant recommend enough, would definitely visit again!

Best place to stay for rapid decompression from the rat-race! Great grounds for walking & reflection, soaking tubs are for couples and quite private. Rooms are furnished country modern with comfortable beds, one per room, great modern bathroom with stone finished shower. Eggs from chickens grown onsite. Herbs and greens grown in the sustainability managed garden onsite. Edible flowers garnish breakfast plates. Dietary needs are carefully respected with advanced notice for planning (gluten free waffles were one breakfast item). The innkeepers are congenial, helpful, and know everyone for miles around. Sam the dog takes his time acquainting himself with newcomers and can be a great host in his own right. Well be back!
This is a gorgeous little inn and probably about as good as it gets in this area. Room was clean and well appointed, grounds were amazingly beautiful gardens, hosts (new owners past year) were friendly and helpful. Coffee brought to room every AM at 7:30 and delicious but simple breakfasts at 9. Bed was not very comfortable and thats what knocked it from 5 down to 4 stars. They should invest in some new mattresses.
A peaceful and relaxing Inn. The personal private hot tub outside the room was a wonderful way to relax. There was no noise from traffic, which seems to always be the case when I stay in a chain hotel. The Ammenities of the room such as Fireplace was nice feature. The bed and sheets were very comfortable as well. Wish I could stay longer:)
This place is a great place to get away and relax. There are plenty of things within a 10 - 15 minute drive if you want that old town walk around, enjoy some wine tasting or find a great restaurant. But this is also a great place to just relax. Dave and Karen (and staff) make you feel right at home before you even show up. We stayed for three nights (our 34th anniversary) and enjoyed sitting by the pond during the day and the fire pit during the night. This place is a lot more updated than a lot of other B & Bs. At the touch of a button you control the several preprogramed lighting modes or touch another button and the hot tub automatically fills to a preset level. My wife loved the 90 minute deep tissue massage. The owners are just a text away if needed. I highly recommend this place. We will be back.
My husband and I stayed at Eden Vale for three nights following our wedding (28th-31st December 2019). It was the perfect respite after what had been a very busy week! We are so grateful to David and Karen for making our stay so wonderful and hope to return in the future.

This bed&breakfast is by far the best Ive ever been to, and we are world travelers. This is a wonderful wedding venue, spa, perfect for corporate retreats or any type of retreat. The owners have done a phenomenal job making everyone feel at home.

Every detail of the rooms was tended to, from the high thread count sheets to the 1-push button lighting/gas fireplace setup. The private soaking tub for two (complete with robes) was so cozy and romantic! I highly recommend coffee in the tub first thing in the morning :)

2023-09-13 18:03:02We had a truly perfect stay at the Eden Vale Inn. Everything from the rooms to the breakfasts was spot on. We stayed in the Gray Pine and loved the privacy of our outdoor deck. The private outdoor soaking tub is so luxurious, as is the indoor double head shower. We also enjoyed sitting by the fire pit and walking around the well-maintained property. Overall, we were impressed with the attention to detail and luxury in every aspect. Karen and David were very welcoming hosts and made our stay feel like exactly the vacation and retreat we needed. We will definitely be back!

The outside tub was spectacular and we enjoyed eating and drinking coffee out in the private patio. The breakfasts served during our stay were imaginative and delicious.One of our favorite activities was visiting with Sam (the cutest dog) and chatting with Karen and David. There were more amenities than we could fully utilize during our two night stay. That being said we will definitely be back!

2023-10-27 05:09:19My wife and I stayed two nights in the Juniper room. It was a wonderful, relaxing stay. I purchased the Romantic that gave us a bottle of sparkling wine and rose petals. They even had a Romance lighting option that dropped lights and turned on the fire place. We had a couples massage at the beginning and the wine tasting day pass on the second day. It was great being a member for the day at local wineries. The soak tub was great for baths on both nights. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast delivered to your room was delicious. We loved our stay and plan to return again soon.

2023-10-11 04:54:11I asked my husband what I should write in my review and he responded “BEST PLACE EVER”.Needless to say, we had the best experience at Eden Vale celebrating our wedding anniversary last weekend :)The property is beautiful with a very calming/ romantic ambiance, the rooms are clean and cozy, the service is incredible, and the breakfasts were delicious!We stayed three nights and wished we could have stayed 100 more.Thank you David and Karen for hosting such a memorable experience for us and also for coming to my rescue when I realized I had nowhere to store the frozen pie, cheese, and peanut brittle I acquired while visiting Apple Hill 😂

Its a very unique place and although I was a little worried about privacy with it being a bed and breakfast, we really didnt see anyone else while we stayed there. Our room was quiet and spacious. Breakfast each morning was delicious and they accommodated my gluten allergy nicely. The grounds are lovely and the owners are very nice. You can tell they thought of the little things to make their guests comfortable. My only feedback is that the dog potty area was a bit of a trek from our room, which is fine and understandable, but at night it gets pretty dark so maybe some additional lighting there or even just a flashlight for those guests. Pet parents should also bring some doggy shampoo or wipes because our littles got sap in their paws from the potty area as well. Overall we really loved our stay and would highly recommend.

2023-11-12 20:14:06This is an absolutely gorgeous and quiet place to stay. The outdoor private tub was extremely luxurious and breakfast every day was worthy of a Michelin Star restaurant. All of the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Definitely will be back in the future!
