The James Bond roll was very good and the gyoza took the place of an egg roll for me. Glad I ordered from here! * I got my order through door dash so Im not sure about atmosphere and service.

Great food, large portions and really good atmosphere. Wish I could say the same for the service, had to ask for chop sticks, wasabi and only got checked on when itLooked like the owner came out and was on the floor for about 10 minutes. Total of four servers and it wasn’t all that busy. Next time we’re back I’ll give them a second try to see if the service was corrected. This place was referred to us by a Welks Resort employee.

Greeted upon entry. Sashimi had a strong scent and tasted of poor quality. Had to get up and request Wasabi and Ginger. Had to get up and request chop sticks(utensils). The Chicken Soup was served with dark meat. Go at your own risk.

Omg I would give this a million stars if possible. This was by far the best sushi roll I have had in the last 10 years. I had the Volcano roll and it melted in my mouth. My husband got the baked salmon roll and he said it tasted amazing too and that it made his stomach feel better.

Went there with my hubby last week…ordered the salmon sashimi, and hubby the bento box.As soon as we arrived home, we were both in our bathrooms with Hershey Squirts, running chocolate like you wouldn’t believe it…when my sashimi arrived I smelled something strange, I eat it anyway, because someone in the website “Edoko Sushi” mentioned that the place was a hole in the wall but the food “Delish”….don’t believe that junk and avoid this place at all costs.You won’t like the atmosphere either…you have been warned.

Yay! FINALLY found a sushi spot in the Valley that I like. It has a decent sized sushi bar (a dozen or so places) and about 7 or 8 tables. I got the seaweed salad (one of the best Ive had) and the Popcorn Lobster Roll (delicious). Oh, yeah. . . . and, of course, a large Kirin to wash it all down. Remember what Arnold said. . . Oll be beck!

Ordered delivery, but probably the worst Japanese food weve had in a long time...their spicy ramyun broth was watery, less flavorful than even instant ramen broth, noodles were soggy, vegetables in it were bland, their sashimi slices were paper thin (literally, see pic), edamame over-boiled. :(

We had lunch here. I had teriyaki chicken with California roll. It comes with lettuce and miso soup. The lettuce was a good portion with a nice tasting dressing. The miso was hot and good enough to finish. And the teriyaki chicken and the sauce was delicious. The California rolls were bigger than my mouth and were very good. I am still full 7 hours later.The staff was nice and on top of everything. The meal came out super fast as well.Some comments for the restaurant:please store the spic and span away from view. Put away the vitamins and other medicines right next to the table. The tvs had the satellite image on them. Small things that can easily be fixed for a 5 star experience.

This is the worst quality sushi I have had in my entire life. The fish smelled off and tasted grainy/previously thawed and frozen many times; the tempura was black and rotten inside, the crab is actually the cheapest imitation KRAB strings on the market. Utterly gross. I’m praying now I don’t have food poisoning from the two pieces I tried to force down. I’ve also opened a request for Doordash to investigate the validity of their reviews, as it’s apparent now the restaurant has paid off a click farm to leave positive reviews to increase it’s rating.

We went into dine around 5pm, place was pa ked and everyone was eating. We sat at the bar, and marveled at the chef punching out orders to go and in~house. We orderd the mixed sashimi plate...huge cuts and delicious. Sushi had nice big slices and the roll we ordered was packed with fresh avocado and tuna. Living on the Washington coast, we know sushi! Highly recommend this sushi joint!

I came back to try again as I have lived in another state for the last 3 years. It hasnt changed much. Which is good. I placed a to-go order and picked the 3 item dinner special. It was plenty of food. Good size rolls and 4 pieces along with soup and salad. The price was fair and I enjoyed it when I got home. Give it a try. Update 11/23/22. Unfortunately last night I ordered a takeout meal as always. This time I am highly disappointed. I ordered the 3 item dinner with California roll, tune roll and 4 pieces . Unfortunately I got cooked salmon which was dry as shoe leather, a California roll that was more like an imitation crab roll as thats all it had. The 4 pieces and soup and salad were good. Ultimately it will be some time before I chance it again.

First off let me say the fish was super fresh! Beautiful colors and taste. Roll presentation was decent. They were not rolled tight so they fell apart easily.The reason for the loss of stars…waiter did not write down order and having allergies I received rolls that were not to order. Secondly the walls, floors, and bathroom are stained and dirty. Take a little bit of time and wipe some thing down will go a long way.

This place gave me Norovirus(food poisoning) on 11/4/22 on a togo order I picked up and I ended up in hospital. This was the only food I ate that day. I ordered chicken teriyaki and spicy tuna roll dinner. Great food but they need to work on cleanliness. You have been warned.

First time dining here. Great selection of sushi and other Japanese food. Great service. Excellent fresh fish choices that we made. We had: 22oz Kiren beer, mackerel, yellow tail and unagi nigiri, Caterpillar, Rainbow and Spider roll. Seaweed salad...all outstanding. The prices are good too. We will be back!

Came here for the first time ever. Dont let the negative comments steer you away. The menu was a bit overwhelming since I only wanted sushi. Young lady that sat me was friendly, the one on the register was a bit harsh, saying things like menu is outdated hes a new chef so he doesnt know much these pictures are from way back. Clearly things you dont want to hear on your first visit.Regardless, the takeout orders kept coming in, I was one of two parties dining in and our food came out in a reasonable time. Ambiance was spot on, I couldve stayed there a lot longer.Started off with some Shumai, which came fried...and it was tofu... (it was my fault for not asking more about it given the lack of description on the menu) The Seafood Terriyaki was mediocre. Calamari was tough and the baked clam was not baked at all and tasted questionable. But the Maki Maki Roll, the reason for my lunch out, did not disappoint. It was crunchy, the tuna was flavorful and I enjoyed every bite of it.Will be back to try out some other items.

The entrance to the restaurant hasnt been swept in weeks; old newspapers, candy wrappers, bits and pieces of trash scattered in front of the door, Halloween decorations on the patio still up and shabby. Inside, the owner is at the back table talking loudly on the telephone, a cook from the kitchen flirting with a male customer. The food? The Nigiri sushi was barely warm yet overcooked at the same time. $8.99 for tasteless. The sushi rolls themselves are too big. Sushi is supposed to be a bite...this required you to try and bite it in half or shove the entire thing in your mouth. Waaaaay to much rice. This used to be my favorite sushi place, but they need to get their act together.

My wife & daughter had to use the restroom and they said it was worse then a Hot Texas Truck stop restroom on a hot wet Summer day. Staff was friendly and took good care of us. The All you can eat was $27 but the list was every limited and had no pics of the sushi. If your in a jam maybe. But if Im spending SUSHI STYLE $$, They better have a clean bathroom....

Ordered from here and it was honestly one of the worst take out experiences Ive ever had. It was my familys last night in Palm Springs & we just wanted to eat in at the hotel so we did Uber Eats. No issues with that service but all of my family agreed we have no idea how this place has an almost 5 star rating and so many 4 to 5 star reviews because it was just not good.The fish didnt smell or taste horrible like it would get you sick or anything but the flavor of everything was bland, the presentation was sloppy, and they got some of the order wrong. I dont write reviews barely ever, but for how much we paid and how bad it was we all thought it was warranted here.BIGGEST CONCERN: Im pretty suspicious that the tuna in the Tuna Roll and the Tuna Sushi pieces was DYED red to make it look more fresh or high quality. It might not even have been tuna, but rather some other fish dyed to resemble tuna. Im not a fish expert, but the tuna was leaving obvious reddish/pink stains on the rice it was touching, the Styrofoam box, and our fingers. Ive had plenty of sushi before..tuna is not supposed to do that. It just looked gross, and even though it didnt taste super nasty we didnt eat more than a few bites because the color thing was off-putting.Shrimp tempura pieces were very small for the price, all of the sushi rolls were bland and very lumpy...like the rice was just slopped on in clumps. Usually a big part of sushi is the visual aspect, and it was pretty much totally ignored here. And it makes sense that things shift around a little with takeout, but the rice to fish ratio was just off. Looked like it was slapped together in 5 seconds by someone who doesnt know how to make a roll. For the price I figured it would at least look nice.Asked for plasticware/napkins, and did not receive any. There was no soy sauce included at all. They did have sealed plastic packets of wasabi & ginger - which surprised me that they didnt even include fresh ginger & wasabi for how expensive it was - but they were very difficult to open if you didnt have a knife or scissors. It may sound picky/whiney to complain about that, but if you are paying this much it doesnt seem like too much to ask that they at least make the packaging accessible.Udon noodles with chicken - broth was good, noodles were fine, but the chicken was chewy and flavorless.Just overall really depressing lol..we spent approximately $180 for all this food and it was just not good. Flavor, packaging, quality, and order accuracy were all lacking. I wouldnt have even bothered to write a review if it wasnt so expensive but seriously this was a hugely disappointing waste of money.Peace out for now California ✌ at least the weather was nice 👌

It beats all sushi restaurants in the valley. Me and my husband tried it out and we left very satisfied. We ordered the Steves special #15 roll, dragon roll, mango roll, baked salmon roll. All of them were exquisite. Even the ginger! Im pregnant so we ordered all cooked rolls, except for the Steves special that had spicy tuna but it was one of our faves.Service was prompt. We were welcomed as soon as we opened the door. It is definitely our new sushi spot. Highly recommend it.

Great authentic Japanese restaurant with delicious food. I had the shrimp & veggie tempura and my husband had sushi. Both meals excellent. The only reason I subtracted a star was for a flaw in the service. While we were still eating our soup & salad, the server brought our entrees. Since the tables were small, we had to pick up our bowls so she could place the entrees. We finished eating the soup & salad holding them up to our mouths basically. I suggested next time she should wait until the guests were done eating the soup & salad so those bowls could be removed before placing the entree. She smiled, said she was sorry and then guests next to us had the same experience. Shame on management for not training their servers.

Edoko Sushi is one of, if not THE best sushi place in the Palm Springs area. Their prices are reasonable, their food is amazing, and their service is excellent. Ive never had a bad experience. Sushi taste great. All you can eat sushi for $25. Sushi chef is really nice, as well as the owners. They are actually Japanese (unlike a lot of sushi places where theyre Korean?) So its very authentic. The owner is so cute and sweet. but the Waitresses have bad attitudes. (All of them) They take Forever to get your orders, they ignore you and act like youre a burden. They dont give you sheets to order more. They should hire new wait staff because they made my experience bad. Luckily the owner came and was really nice.

The food and service are outstanding! However, in Cathedral City, there is still a mask mandate at least until Dec 10. Unfortunately this is not observed by several wait staff/ sushi chefs (masks worn below the nose making the mask ineffective) nor is it enforced for customers coming in to dine. There is still a pandemic going on!

We got there at 3:47 my husband went in came back to the cat 15 min later saying they didnt have our order and no history of our order. I travel and have had a lot of sushi. This establishment has been one of my favorites and I came here several times during my stay. The sushi chefs and staff were all very friendly, willing to customize dishes, and let us sample some things. The all you can eat was well priced and every single piece of sushi we had was properly prepared and good. Many of the rolls were fantastic (crunch roll and chefs special were among the best).It was crowded everytime I went in a good way, yet the chefs there remembered my name and greeted everpne walking through the door.

Looked like a 5 year old assembled it in a sushi buffet line. Mostly rice. $40 for that. The postmates driver wasn’t even late. They refused to give me a refund.Save your money and go to Stater Bros. and get the sushi there at the grocery store. It looks better, it tastes better, and it’s cheaper. The service was so slow. its lunch time and only 1 waitress for the entire restaurant? I waited about 10 mins after I ate my first round for the waitress to ask if I wanted another order. If you order All you can eat, be careful because they take the menu and dont give it back to you until after the fact you have eaten your plate. I dont think the customer should have to ask for the menu back after ordering.There was a person there with gym attire giving out plates it looked unprofessional and unhygienic. I dont think I will be back because aside from the Nigiri (2pc) everything else is practically a California roll, definitely not worth 26 dollars after taxes.

There were 3 tables with reserved signs on them, and she kept having people sit in the spots. Very low quality fish used for cut rolls. More rice than anything on the rolls. Tempura veggies were still hard, and the batter was flat and tasteless. As were the sauces and the food over all. Quantity of food was larger than expected, but I guess it makes up for the high price of the cheap/low quality ingredients. There are many other better Japanese places here in the area. Sadly I wont be going here again.

Wed been there several times with other friends,family,and just my wife and daughter.. And enjoyed it.Today we stopped by for lunch,I ordered all you can eat sushi and my wife and daughter ordered a regular lunch,as they dont eat raw sushi.My wife and daughter were waiting for their food while my sushi started to arrive.My daughters tummy was hurting a little due to not eating all day,so I said have a couple/few pieces of my California roll which she DOES eat and likes.About 5 min later their food started to arrive,as well as the waitress saying in a loud voice, your not allowed to share sushi on the all you can eat menu.,and walked away.As she returned,I said to her NOT to embarrass me in a soft voice, and said that I simply gave a few pieces to my daughter.because her tummy hurt due to not eating.The waitress then replied louder than before IM not embarrassing you,and that your not allowed to share etc etc etc.Obviously I wasnt a thief trying to have two meals for one price, as my daughters food,being cooked, would not arrive as quickly as my sushi would.Well,to say I was PISSED, would be an understatement.We finished quietly,as a scene is not my style,but they lost a local client, who can afford to be regular customers!Ill never return to their rude and inconsiderate establishment!NEVER!

The sushi here is amazing! Steves Special was delicious, I highly recommend trying it! The vegetable and shrimp tempura was excellent along with the miso soup and chicken teriyaki bowl! Priced right for good quality sushi. We will be back many more times!

Worth experience ever. Inside the restaurant it was extremely warm. Fans /AC did not work. Flies flying around landing on my self and food. Waited 25 mins for food when they were not busy. When the sushi came it was all rice and little fish. Do not waste money here. I did and regret it.

Been coming here ever since they opened. But today was my last day. When I ordered my food on line I went to pick up my food saw the cook (the one in charge of rolling up the rolls) with his mask hanging off his face. All the while he was talking to a co-worker. With covid 19 how can you cook or handle food without a mask? I asked the cashier if he wears a mask when cooking & she said yes. She saw i was a concerned but didnt say anything else. A very nice cashier. I got home & it was the wrong order, called them to ask for my money back but they said since I ordered thru postmates app they can only replace it. Sent my husband to pick up the order & when he got there the same guy had his mask off but put it on a soon as he saw him. Not only was he not wearing a mask but he also touched his mask without washing his hands. I called them again and they said since hes the owners son he doesnt wear it all the time. Last time there. I threw away my roll :(

The food was good as always. But the owner had some friends over to dine and the owner had the waiter and waitresses focus on them. Service was very slow as a result. We’d ask for soy sauce and 10 minutes later the waiter would come back without soy sauce because he was focusing on that one table and forgetting everyone else. Very disappointed.

Twice I have been here and both times I have had bad service. Both time I have been greeted with attitude at the door and threw out the stay.
