The staff was polite. We took our food to go. Waiting time was 30-40 minutes, but everything was delicious. Tacos El Diablo was yummy. The restaurant was busy and small. As I waited, customers came and went to dine or pick ups. I would return. 🙂👍👍

A totally unassuming gem in Downey. The Diabla Shrimp Quesadilla is one of the best quesadillas Ive ever had. The lobster nachos were delicious as well. Ill definitely be coming back here again.

The place is scrumptious!!! Lol ... I had the sampler tostadas which u had a choice in between 5 different style ... Your able to pick three. I had Mariquita, Conejitaand Mango. Dont let the pink sauce fool you. Flavors are good. First time coming differently will back to try the rest of the Flavors!

Do food and customer service go hand to hand?. A typical restaurant greets you even McDonald’s does. No greeting. There’s no direction here. Nobody told me where to sit or how many in my party. It appears that this restaurant is family run. Ppl come in and out whether they’re workers or friends who knows but looked unprofessional. It’s a small place with a predicament like that you expect ppl to be careful. While I was there one guy knocked over cup lids and another guy knocked over a water cup. Now the food. Aesthetically it’s great. Taste wise not so much. The mahi and shrimp tacos have a fusion of flavors that don’t go well with each other. Too much lime, dressing and seasoning. One taco I couldn’t finish because it was just too wet from the juices. I don’t like giving bad reviews in fact this is my first 1 ⭐️ review. The ppl seemed cool and friendly but I have to call them out. The floor was dirty and the clumsiness can’t go overlooked along with the bad service and food, B food grade on window by the way. If you’re reading this I hope you guys step up your service. You guys are successful and noteworthy but even so one should deliver everyday. Yes I’m just one customer with a bad review that should not be disregarded.

I ordered the coco Loco, I wasnt impressed it was served on a aluminum cazuela (bowl) it was more lemon juice and red onion than seafood, couldnt even finnish eating it!!I ordered because my friend told me they served on a real coco, disappointed very disappointed!!

Got a friendly greeting by Derek and gave us great service. Everything on the menu looked good and it wasnt overwhelming. Went with the ceviche sampler and fell in love with the Mango one. The other two were really good too. The coctel de camarón was good and above average. The lobster fries was the best! Simply outstanding and best tasting fries Ive ever had. The lemonade were refreshing and good but a bit too sweet.Now for the bad and why it lost one star... The place didnt look like much from the outside and the inside seemed okay. Furniture, interior was outdated, wobbly, menus, worn+dirty, and a couple tables left a little dirty. Not a big deal but this took off one star for me.

I was visiting from out of town and saw this place when looking for both seafood and tacos. El Coraloense checked both boxes. Its a small place in a tiny strip mall, but the good was fantastic and the service very helpful and friendly. I ordered the pastor still mahi mahi tacos and they were fantastic! I love pastor style tacos and this was a different and very good take on that style. The flavors were very good, and if Im back in LA anytime soon I would go back.

I came on Thursday for the Paella Concept. I had the best in the world Paella Valenciana. The paella was great with a crispy bottom, perfectly cooked bone-in chicken and duck and beans. They had a guy playing Spanish guitar which was a nice touch. Good for a date!

This place is awesome.The ceviche is fresh and the flavors very unique, the service is always amazing and the staff are super friendly. The prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food. If I lived closer I would come every day - living 25 minutes away I still make it here regularly.If youre not coming here when youre craving ceviche, youre doing it wrong.

One word BOMB! Omg... you have to have this. Seafood Nayarit style, so delicious. I had the Mojara Zarandiada ... the portions beyond generous, it comes with a fresh side salad, house dressing, tangy and fresh, and brown rice. I dont even like brown rice, but this rice I loved. You will not be disappointed, and its surprisingly affordable, the hostess so nice and friendly, you have to try this.

Nice lil restaurant. I went close to 6pm. There were a total of about 12 tables, three of which were occupied. The waiter was quick to take my order and the food came promptly to my table. I ordered a shrimp cocktail and a fish taco. Both had generous serving proportions and were quite tasty

The place has no restroom, the service was pretty bad!! The food was ok I had their famous taco and a taco of pescado sarandeado. I went there cause O had try their taco of pescado sarandeado at a food fest, so I went to the restaurant and went I ordered they didnt have that! I got something similar but nothing compared to the one I was crazy about. 😞

If you love traditional mariscos with a modern twist, and no loud live music; this is the place for you. They’re fish tacos aren’t traditional, but outstanding. They have excellent customer service.We highly recommend their coctel crudo, agua chile, jaiva, taco de dedo, and the mahi-mahi taco.

Wait time is about 15-20 min usually which is really good considering COVID era. Also when they don’t answer, they actually call you back to take your order!!

Couldnt get enough of the lobster nachos. The tostada sampler was a great way to get a sample of 3 tostadas. On this occasion we tasted all the 🐟 based tostadas because the shrimp ceviche wasnt ready. I was bummed initially, but once I started eating I was in heaven. I traveled all the way from Redondo Beach to meet a friend and would definitely do it again!

The food was quite delicious and a real deal for what youre getting. I tried the mini ceviche tostada sampler your choice of three for only $8.50. What a deal! (My first visit I read mini and figured okay well this is not going to be enough, but it is!) the smoked Marlin tacos plate comes with three tacos for $7.50 and their plate of Camarones al mojo de ajo (thats garlic shrimp) is EXCELLENT! The shrimp come head on and its served with rice very homestyle made and a salad for $11.50. I love this dish the best part is sucking all that yummy juice off of the shrimp before you eat it and then taking a scoop of that saucy and slightly spicy rice. Yum!This is one of my new favorite spots, so the reason I give it four stars instead of five is because I visited this place twice before writing my review to get a good feel and I feel they are a bit unexperienced with running a restaurant. Although the food is great! the service is a bit slow the food comes out of the kitchen slowly as they make it not all at once and I ordered an horchata de coco both visits, My first visit it was poured into a cup and I was fine with it the second visit I ordered it again and it came like a smoothie, So Im not linking the inconsistency, Also my first visit I ordered fries and they never came I was still charged for them which I brought to their attention the second visit They ended up refunding my money but the way it was handled felt unprofessional she said well not much I can do about it Ill ask someone to see if they remember and then she kind of ignored me for a while and then finally came to me and said well they dont remember :-/ . But she gave me the money back. But that was a mistake they made and the proper way to handle that is apologizing for the mistake and then offering a fix. Food is great and Im hoping the way they run the business will soon catch up they need to be a bit more consistent.

This is a family owned & operated Mexican seafood restaurant. They specialize in out-of-this-world recipes. They have what at first may seem as an unusual menu (outside of the basics), but their culinary creations are amazing!!!My friends and I visit at least once a week, everything is made to order, so there may be a longer wait time than expected, but the food is definitely worth the wait.My favorites include, Coco-Loco (a hallowed out peeled coconut filled with delicious seafood such as crab-octopuss-fish,shrimp-abalone and a special sauce), Tres (3) Palos cocktail (similar to a Coco Loco but in a cocktail version), Grilled Fish Fillet Zarandeado style, Breaded Fish Fillet Al Mojo de Ajo (Garlic Sauce), Shrimp Ceviche (SHrimp with Diced Cucumbers, Red Onion & Tomatoes), Camarones Al Millionarios (Shrimps For a Millionaire- peeled large shrimp in a special chipotle sauce.)
