I have been to this restaurant more times than I can count. The restaurant is clean neat with super comfortable booths. The wait staff is phenomenal, nothing falls through their fingers. Now to the food one word describes it, unforgettable. I am not just talking about one item, I am talking them all of them and I haven’t even gotten the chips and salsa yet. Just sitting here writing this is making my stomach rumble and mouth water. I don’t usually recommend an entrée but you have to try the Basil Chicken, oh my! Now to the chips, I can’t get enough of them even when I can’t move. If you live in the neighborhood and haven’t gone, what are you waiting for? Definitely missing out. Stop in you will fall in love too.

If youre thinking NO,not another strip-mall, Mexican restaurant... You have a treat in store.El Palmar is a pleasant find: Delicious food, nice low-key atmosphere, friendly, attentive service. The food is delicious and the portions quite ample. Locals return often.Its worth driving past oh-so-many strip-malls: El Palmar awaits.

Been coming here for years its what I would call a a diamond in the rough. The restaurant is located in the residential area of Carmichael the food is Always Good and the staff is always friendly and helpful love this restaurant 😁 if youre visiting the area it is a must-try local restaurant for us here in Carmichael California

Ive been coming here over the years Always excellent food and service. I cant say that anymore. The restaurant was empty on a sat nite. We had to ask for salsa 3 times, My husbands order was wrong and they completely forgot his drink. My daughter and I ordered chicken burrito which came out cold and my tortilla was burnt. Could not eat, needles to say we did not pay for the 2 meals we coulden5 eat. So disappointing, we really enjoyed that spot. We wont be going back

Enchiladas were tasty but just a little bit on the small size. I ordered one Asada and one Chicken and was slightly disappointed it was not shredded chicken as I ordered but the chunks of chicken were well seasoned and tasty but again... just in the thin side of what I normally see when I order from other Mexican Restaraunts. The service was fine... nothing outstanding but the meal came quickly, which was very nice.All in all.... Im sure Ill be back to try something else. It was a nice experience and the food was tasty.Prices were very reasonable as well.

(First time at this restaurant)Great service! The best service Ive had from any restaurant in a long time. Great food. Kids loved the cheese enchiladas. Went on a VERY hot day, the AC here was cold, drinks came quickly.I will be back next time Im in town. Would recommend to anyone.

Very much enjoyed my experience here tonight! The carne asada is amazing and the house margarita was just what I needed. Very friendly staff, and pleasant environment. Ill be back next time Im visiting Sacramento!

Been here to eat several times. Have eaten in and for take out .The food never disappoints drinks are good as well,service has always been great.I would definitely recommend eating here you wont be disappointed!!!

I ordered 3 burritos one a shredded chicken burrito green sauce sour cream guac salsa on side I’m a dipper second burrito same shredded chicken regular w/green sauce 3rd veggie now they got this whole order wrong everything was backward except the veggie they said they would fix it I said ok but they needed all the burritos back and I figured because they wanted them to be hot and I thought awwe but on there return they all came back right but the veggie instead of the black I got back refried mushy disgusting refried bean he would not fix or give my money back and I left it on the counter
