Not what I expected for sushi. Definitely should change their name. Its more like Mariscos. I ended up getting the mango ceviche which was more veggies. Not a lot of of shrimp. I was disappointed by the menu and the prices and the non sushi plates.

I recently had an amazing dinner at this place. Its one of those spots where you immediately feel at ease. The ambiance is so relaxed, it just takes all your stress away. 🌿 The tables are really comfortable, they have designed it keeping the comfort of diners in mind. A shoutout to the servers, who are not just nice but absolutely delightful. You can tell they love what their job and it really reflects in their service. 👏Its tough to talk about a restaurant without mentioning food - and trust me when I say it - the food was good. They might not be the cheapest options around but they deliver value for every penny you spend. 💰And for all those hygiene freaks like me, the bathroom was very clean. I believe its a small yet significant detail about a place speaks volumes. 🧼Another factor that could be beneficial to many is that they have their own (though a tad limited) parking. No more worrying about finding space for your vehicle!Overall, its a place where you get good food, warm service, and a great dining experience. 🍽️✨ This ones definitely worth recommending! Everything was just soooo good! The crunchy roll sushi, Thai noodles, cucaracha shrimp, oyster shots, and some other items that my family ordered were worth it. Every time we are in the area, this will be the spot we will definitely stop at!

This place is legit.. Had some really good oyster shooters. Its a far drive if your staying in downtown LA, but worth it. Service was great, food was outstanding. I was really happy we decided to go eat at El Sushi Loco. We were visitors from Utah and wanted good sushi. Will be going back when we are in the area.

Honestly I don’t understand why this place pops out as a good spot to eat. I went and took 7 other people with me to celebrate my lady’s birthday. As you know I spent a lot of money as everything looks good in the menu but the food taste is not what they are selling. The California roll is tasteless. The campechana ahogada had a good presentation but it wasn’t fresh as they say their seafood is. The alcoholic cocktails were not mixed properly some were missing ingredients and some had old ingredients. Not impressed. The waitress only came to check up on us once even when the place was practically empty. However they still charged me a forceful 25 dollars on gratuity. The French fries for were burnt and old. The list keeps going on and on. I don’t recommend this place.

I wish they would teach front desk how to take phone orders. Either they don’t speak English or if they do speak English they don’t know how to take an order. I don’t have to need to call 3 times just to complete an order. The tables don’t move so they only want small asians to sit inside. They don’t cater to the average American/Mexican nowadays. Too tight to sit inside now.

Ive been here twice and the food here is delicious. Prices range from $11-16 on the various rolls, but are so good. The Dynamite roll $16 was smaller than pic on menu but so good. I shared it with my mom and the Ceviche Ahogado $8 too. Both delicious! My dad said his Caldo 7 Mares was great too. Last minute we ordered the Banana Tempura and omg soo good and huge. Perfect ending. I wasnt super hungry, but this was def enough for me. The service is very good, attentive and quick. The place is very clean and atmosphere pleasing. We came on a Wed around 2pm. Pleasantly surprised enough ppl but not busy with a wait time. Bruno Mars music playing in background and soccer game on!

I came from Arizona to take out some sushi and seafood. It was delicious but they got cheap with the soy sauce. The soy sauce they give you is such a ridiculously small amount! They told me if I wanted more they would sell 3 for $1. This is the equivalent of getting charged for ketchup packets at Mickey D’s. I’m adding pics.

I used to love this place, but bad customer service and poor food quality has ruined that. Their food just gets worse and worse. The last two times I have been here I ordered a Sushi Loco Roll. Both times it felt like the food had been prepared earlier in the day, leaving me with a soggy and mushi roll. The servers claim it was made fresh for my order but I know its not true since Ive had the Sushi Loco roll many times before without the roll being soggy. This time the server just shrugged when I showed him what I meant about the food. Looks like the workers dont care, so Ill take my money elsewhere.

Heard of this place today so came by for dinner. Im a big fan of Green Agua Chili Camarones so I ordered the Tostada Aguachile Verde. Wow, the presentation was amazing. The green sauce with red onions n fresh avacado slices and fresh shrimp was the best I have ever tasted. Also ordered the Ceviche Camaron mini Tostadas n they were very good Definelty going back soon. Parking is a little tight. The restaurant was clean. Service was friendly and prices were fair.

This was my first time trying this location and I loved it! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the staff which were all super friendly. We were given recommendations and not only the waitress but the manager Nelson came and asked multiple times if we were doing okay and if the food was good. The food was not the best, somehow I expected better. The rolls were extremely large too much rice for my liking. It was a roll that couldn’t be eaten with chopsticks. The ceviche was bland. The Micheladas were good.The service was ok, it was a Sunday and the place was pretty full. Once our food arrived I didnt see our waiter til I flagged him down for the check.Parking is terrible. Its a small place.

I was invited to this place by a new business acquaintance and w as s surprised. Great menu with different flavors. We tried and shared 3 different sushi rolls. Which was which I could not say anything but tasty. Excellent service and great employees. Be careful of the heat! One chili pepper in the chip and salsa can distort the whole rest of the meal. But great difference flavors are to be had. Please overlook the strip mall appearance.

I love the food but the customer service is absolutely horrendous.If you’re going to hang up immediately when someone calls with a question it’s better to just not answer and let it ring. This has been a consistent problem.Twice I have had to wait over an hr for a pickup order that stated it was ready for pick up.And twice I’ve received someone else’s order;One time being hours old and disgusting and cold.Their attitude is always rude.I’m honestly not one to even leave reviews or complain to management but unfortunately sometimes there’s a few too many times that this happens and I’ve worked in the industry so I get that they’re short and full housed but never an excuse for poor behavior, you’re running an establishment, staff should at least make it welcoming to guests.Just my recent frustration with this place. It was great. Hard a bit of a hard time getting a recommendation for a vegan sushi roll. Was offered the chef special which was higher in price when all I wanted was veggies in my roll and no meats or cream cheese. Waitress ended up understanding and finally ordered the California roll with no cream cheese or crab meat. It was delicious! My grandma loved it! Drinks were delicious! Had the mango monitor and Jamaica water. Awesome place overall. Wish they had a veggie option in place already tho 😉

Amazing! I ordered the Botana El Gordo, some of the freshest seafood I’ve had in a long time. We also ordered teriyaki chicken, which was great too, and the tempura was some of the best I’ve ever had. Little bit of a wait, but well worth it. Staff was friendly. Great sushi but it has been slowly increasing in price. I do like getting the mojitos and the margaritas :) I recommend bringing family here since there are many options. The sushi here was disgusting and expensive. I asked the waitress what was the most ordered sushi and she said the sushi loco, but it was more like sucky loco. Also, DO NOT pay a dollar more to fry your sushi. It wasnt even worth forcing myself to eat the whole dish. The service there was also pretty bad. I was trying to pay for my meal but had to wait for the waitresses to stop talking to each other. The only reason I rated this place two stars is for the environment inside, which is beautiful. I love sushi, but honestly dont spend your money here. It is way too expensive for poor quality food.

The customer service here was horrible the cashier Nicole, was not only would rude but would cut me off and walk away as I asked her questions about the menu. I was the only customer there at the time. I asked for r my drink and she did not answer just continued wiping the counter. I asked again and she told me I would get it with my food.My food took over 25 minuets and when I did get it she finally gave my soda which she poor when I ordered and was flat now. I asked about condiments and what were the options, she replied with Do you want to try it” and tossed them yes tossed them on to my tray. Came here on a Tuesday night. It was a nice restaurant with TVs and music. Giving it 3 stars because the parking is very small and confused of were to drive in, some of my friends had to park across the street because no parking. The food was ok for the price. First of all there is no parking. Street parking is limited to 20 minutes. To get seated was about 55 minutes. The outside waiting area should be enclose or they should have heaters. My crunch roll was mushy. The dragon and the sushi loco tasted all the same. No refills is not good. The prices are expensive. The sushi rolls were about $12.95 plus $2 if you want it fried? SERIOUSLY? It tasted like a $6.99 roll from the gas station. This was the Downey location.

I really hate to post this review and give them 1 star because Im a usual client here and their food is always good. But today I ordered online through Grubhub, first of all they said the order didnt go through.(Totally understanding of that) so I decide to wait 15 min to see if the issue is resolved and I decided to call Grubhub. The appetizer was delicious I dont remember exactly what our was but it look like it was on 4 big chips. We ended up ordering the boat meal because it something that 2 people can split. If you like your sushi warm then give them a try but if you want something fresh then stick to traditional sushi restaurants. I went there with my friend and her daughter who had been there before and was raving about the food, we get there and it took us nearly an hour to be seated and the only reason we got a table was because my friend was insisting on a table outside that was ready. We sit down outside and there was nothing on the table not even salt and pepper. They took our orders after 10 minutes and took almost an hour for the food (2 agua chiles and some chicken nuggets with fries) needles to say that the nuggets took over an hour and tge waiters were all over the place. It is delicious! Not your traditional sushi spot to go to. It is a fusion spot with Sinaloa, Mexican style sushi. The crab meat is more of a truffle that has more cream cheese than crab. Food was interesting. The mango ceviche was delicious! My Mexican boyfriend and I were not quite sure how to process the uncommon combinations. Just because rice and see weed paper is rolled up, it doesnt make it sushi. The rice they used was regular Chinese restaurant white rice which is not the same as sushi rice, so it was much more heavier, and just filled us up quickly. The spot was super busy, even at closing... Pretty popular, its just not for me.

Hello I wanted to start by saying that I would have given this place 4 stars but unfortunately one of the cashiers maybe manager ruined the experience. Theyoung lady was wearing a yellow shirt, what happened was we were leaving the restaurant and my wife forgot her cell phone at our table and unfortunately we walked out of the restaurant and the doors were locked, so we knocked on the door to get somebodys attention nobody would come over they would just stare at the door. We knocked and we knocked finally this lady in the yellow shirt came over and told us yes and we were like, hi we were just wondering if we can get back in to get my wifes phone we left it inside the restaurant, and her response was well dont you know the restaurant is closedand we told her yes we understand that but we just walked out of the restaurant after having dinner and we forgot her phone and she was like why the restaurant is closed. She very rudely let us back. This is so sad this was our first visit to sushi loco and were celebrating a birthday. Because of this experience we will never return to this place .

Based on previous reviews, maybe I went on a bad day (Tuesday) and late afternoon (4 pm). The food tasted as if you were to be drunk and hungry. The California sushi roll, how do you mess that up? Well... they did. I had the seafood served inside the coconut and the best part was the coconut. My friend had some noodles that were fat and slimy, but I think it was supposed to be teriyaki. Im not sure what it was, but the noodles were definitely way overcooked. Wish I had a better experience because I was looking forward to going. We had just moved to the area.

Its decent... We got the Yaki Loco, Bolly Loco, Salmoncito Hot, the chilitos, some micheladas and a Teriyaki Plate. My favorite was the jaiva on the Bolly Loco which we got half fried half not the inside was okay creme cheese and cucumber cant go wrong there though the rice was a bit hard but still soft enough. The teriyaki chicken comes with tempura and rice and the tempura was delicious as was the teriyaki chicken the sauce was what made it. The chillitos were good, its imitation crab with cheese and serrano pieces fried with a sweet sauce. The Salmoncito roll was eh honestly, the salmon was a bit dry and was sparse with cream cheese and cucumber and then had that sweet sauce on top. The Yaki Loco is their fried rice, it has good ingredients (bacon, calabasita, beef, shrimp, egg) but the rice was undercooked? It was a bit squishy and runny and again lathered with the sweet sauce and spicy mayo. I had enough of that sweet sauce they put it on everything so everything tasted the same! Go easy with it yo! The micheladas were good they fill the glass with ice and a concoction of sauce then being you a can of Clamato and your beer of choice. Overall the pricing was fair and customer service was great(waiter, busboy, and hostess were all nice and attentive), the drinks werent bad at all,t he decor was clean and comfy, the food could use some improvements but its a decent place if your looking to have some sushi and your partner wants some tostadas de ceviche and a beer. Just expect to wait a while, we waited about 45 minutes but maybe as the hype goes down the wait will too.

Great food. Lousy service. Waited over 10 minutes to be attended to at table. Waited over 10 minutes for drinks. Waited over 30 minutes for 2 plates of food. Place was not even busy.

Sushi is always so delicious here. And the drinks are cheap. Shrimp quesadilla is awesome. Great place for dates and family

I love their Luna roll and teriyaki chicken. Definitely recommended but it’s best to order ahead.

The chicken teriyaki is to expensive $16.99 they put a lot of rice and a little chicken. also the emperador plate before are god but now they put a lot of rice.
