This restaurant is located in a strip full of mechanics and other trade shops. On the day of my visit, parking was abundant.I ordered two pork tamales which came with a side of rice and beans and a canned drink. The service I received was great, the lady servicing the store at the time was sweet.The food was packaged very well. The tamales themselves were good, though the wrapping theyre placed in tends to stick to the tamale and makes taking it off kind of annoying. Unfortunately, I didnt much enjoy the rice and beans as I found them kind of flavorless. The spicy salsa provided helped a bit but not much.All in all, they make pretty good tamales. I will probably be back sometime to try the other varieties!

Delicious tamales!!I came here as I was on my way south and I got the original flavor as well as the chipotle tofu. Can. Not. Complain at all. Simply amazing. And the mild salsa was a great topping, too.

The best, absolutely the best. Their chicken enchiladas are out of this world and no matter how hard I try I will never be able to replicate theirs. Tamales are also delicious and just like grandma would make. Perfect ratio of meat to masa. Hibiscus tea is a must to have with your meal as is their salsa. Prices are reasonable, $6.00 for the enchiladas and you get two. This is one of those places you have to eat at at least once point in your lifetime. I true treasure to the Sacramento area, a hidden gem.

We have passed Emmas Tamales many times over the years and today we finally stopped. We wished that we would have stopped by a long time ago. The tamales were excellent the meat-to-masa ratio is perfect. The chips are very good and the salsa is too. The service was very good she was very friendly. The price is very reasonable. We will be going back again.

I love this place, around Christmas time I always find myself craving tamales and Emmas has so many vegetarian/vegan options. I highly recommend the Jalapeño Cheese tamale.

Yummy veggie tamales and you can purchase them in 6-packs! All the food is heated in the microwave so its not necessarily fine dining, but its cute and quaint. The server/cashier is extremely attentive.

Freshest, tastiest tamales in town! If you go here dont forget to try the salsa it is some of the best Ive ever had. The chips and Vegan flavored tamales are my favorite.

Their selection is lovely. I found their seafood tamale to be both unique and delicious. Their menu has something for everyone too! Meat eaters as well as vegans and vegetarian are all well accommodated here. Rating 4 stars because most things are microwaved and their location sucks. However I highly recommend stoppping by for a pack of tamales or some of their awesome vegan chorizo!

Emmas Tamales- where to start? Organic which is fabulous. The decor is casual, but fun, the staff friendly, the value excellent, and the tamales? The best ever. The rice is better than expected and beans have so much flavor they are in a different realm.So worth the trip to find them.

Definitely the best tamales around town.The seafood tamales were packed with flavor and a delicious alternative.The pork are filled and spiced just right.Plenty of vegan options if needed.

Went there and tried the tamles for the first time and her good reviews dont lie. I got the jalapeno and cheese and green chili chicken ones and they are absolutely delicious. I like how they dont add lard and other things that are not bad for the ticker. Will return.

I walked in to your establishment and did not know what to get...it all sounded good...i had the pleasure of speaking to a young lady...Her name....Margarita....she not only suggested food items she also made me smile....her customer service is awesome...dont let her go.....cause you dont find associates like that everyday.....Anyone who asks me where to get tamales.....i will always sayEmmas tamales....
