Were always hunting for good food and when we heard there was a new Izakaya/Yakitori restaurant we had to try it. Despite being a soft open they were busy so we came back later in the weekend and had an awesome dinner. Everything was delicious, especially the black sesame tofu and all of the grilled items. The tempura and fried chicken cartilage was incredible and a deep golden which is my favorite. I cant wait to see how their menu evolves, what new dishes they add, and how they continue to improve. Well definitely be back soon.

I was craving some Japanese food and discovered this little gem. Its a new place that just opened and is definitely worth a try. Had some interesting appetizers like their yuba shot with uni and ikura their housemade tofu, and black sesame tofu was amazing as well. Their yakitori was delicious, especially the chicken with sauce and beef with uni. Also had the tonkatsu udon, which was very flavorful, one of the best Ive had. Highly recommend this place to anyone whos looking for a good yakitori/izakaya.

I visited Enka on a week night around 6 pm, and the place was empty. I ordered takeout, so I cant say much about the service, but the entrance and the interior of the restaurant felt sterile. It lacked the warm, inviting atmosphere that one would typically associate with an Izakaya.For our takeout order, we got a chirashi bowl and a kaisen don with miso soup.The miso soup containers had small holes in it, so the miso soup spilled in the bag by the time I got home. Whatever miso soup was left in the container was quite salty (as expected), so we had to add some hot water to it.The Kaisen Don was underwhelming and expensive for the portion we got. Rice was undercooked and cold. The fish cuts were thin, so it didnt feel quite filling, and everything was really salty.The chirashi bowl looked more filling than the Kaisen Don, but it had similar issues as the Kaisen Don. It also lacked consistency - some fish lacked freshness while some didnt.

Nice new izakaya restaurant. Fresh fish and good yakitori. Be sure to try the enka sauce on the chicken! The beef tongue steak was great! Everything we had was good. We appreciated the use of wakame instead of sliced cabbage.

I ordered Otsumami Sampler of Takowasa, Umeisuisho, Karasumi; I got a full dish of Takowasa, Karasumi, and Otsumami Sampler of two unknown pickles and cream cheese(I promise I didn’t say anything sounds like pickle or cheese). NO ONE ever checked with me about the food or water refilling. I didn’t even get a chance to ask them if I was getting the right food. Oh, don’t forget to take a photo of their menu and compare it with your bill. The price of Karasumi on my check is $10 more expensive than it’s on the menu. I didn’t find it out until home.
