I am proud to show off that we are influencers when it comes to ordering. An elderly couple who were dining behind us came up to our table and asked about our orders because it looks so good. We really enjoyed the XLB, I feel it has a lot of soup and packed with the right flavors. Price and the number of pcs are also proportional. We loved the fried rice. Rice is life!Definitely a good Chinese resto in the area.

Been here several times now and really like their Dan Dan noodles. The sauce that it comes with seems to be a combination of some kind of sesame sauce, soy/ vinegar sauce and chili sauce. The noodles are bouncy and fresh and the balance of the dish is done really well.We always have their dumplings and find them to be average. They are good every day type of dumplings but nothing special to them, just done consistently and made fresh.They have a kiosk now when you come in to order and you can order online for pickup as well, which is very convenient. They do offer a cash discount, which is a nice option if you carry cash with you. The cash discount does not apply to their frozen orders though and buy it does require a cash payment.

Looking forward to XLB dumplings. These were a bit too thick and no soup inside. The chicken and napa cabbage were a little better. The tofu with pork needed a bit more flavor. We added soy sauce and vinegar to give it a boost.

Soup dumplings! Perfect hidden gem hole-in-wall. Fresh, tasty, hot out of the steamers, a little bit expensive but not bad. Fair selection, but dont expect Din Tai Fung. All dishes were good, but Bacon & basil fried rice was amazing, we cudnt stop eating it. Pork & shrimp sio mai was O.K. Garlic green onion pancake very tasty (my daughters favorite, even if she is 6 months pregnant!). Shanghai pork soup and fried soup dumplings (definitely order again). Service was good, altho we just beat the crowd by 15 min. We had ordered 6 dishes (for 4) and they somehow did not get the 6th (spicy beef tendon), we got dessert instead - sesame balls and black & golden molten lava buns (salted egg in steamed black buns - the highlight of the dinner!) Great presentation as the yolks were perfectly cooked and oozed out of the buns when punctured like lava. Fun and delicious!! Sorry no pics, eaten too quickly ;

Lots of people recommending the xiaolongbao on Google but I felt they were 4/5. Good chew on the wrapper and good amount of juice but low flavor. Theyre better than any of the others locally but dont match up to the really good places in SF. Obviously dont order these for delivery, they always have to be eaten fresh when served.The dumplings, shuijiao, the boiled ones, are where this place really shines. Great skin, great flavor. A match for anywhere in the bay.The chive boxes (juicai heze) (for some reason called chive pancakes on the English menu) are deep fried. Just a warning since in my part of China we pan fry these and I wasnt expecting it. Unclear if there were dried shrimp in these, may be a regional thing.The pan-fried dumplings (guotie) are also low flavor. I get the feeling this place doesnt do great with Northern Chinese style. No complaints on the cold dishes.Id stick to the shuijiao if I visit again, theyre superb.

Came here on a Thursday night and this place is great! Definitely a hidden gem.Good:No wait: we got seated right away and the service was quick.The pan fried soup dumplings were just right - very chewy and great flavor.The hot and sour soup here is really good - a bit spicy but still tasy.Prices here are great too! Very reasonable for the portion sizes you get which is huge.Bad:The mapo tofu noodle soup was a combo that didnt seem to sit right with my stomach - it was good, but it was a bit too much spice.Its a pretty clean place, but dont expect amazing service.Overall would come again!

I ordered because of the 5 star review on GrubHub, but definitely disappointed with the quality of food. Not sure if its because it was a delivery.Salt & pepper tofu and Hot & sour soup were the better dishes out of the rest of the food ordered.Sichuan hot chili wontons and BBQ pork steamed bun were mediocre.All Shanghai soup dumplings were dry and didnt have any soup. Egg yolk steamed bun had weird jelly-liked filling, doesnt taste like egg yolk at all.

Awesome hidden gem of a restaurant! Got bummed out by the wait and price of Din Tai Fung so wanted something to make up for it and Epic definitely did! Everything we had we had was delicious. We had plenty of food leftover as well which means I can still savor some of it tomorrow. If you like paying for quality food and not hype or atmosphere, this place is for you.

Home made dumplings are all excellent, I particularly move the pan fried soup dumplings. They are super good and juicy with a good amount of filling.The dough is a little thicker than at some other places but I feel the flavor here is better than others, and when they are freshly made and still have that crispy fried layer, theyre amazing.

After finishing our morning walk in windy rainy weather we wanted to have some steamed dumplings & since its Lunar New Year we thought why not lets go for it .This is written in Chinese as 过年好 / 過年好, and translates to Guò nián ho. Guò nián ho is pronounced as gwor-nyen haoww in Mandarin and gwor-nin haow in Cantonese.I called the restaurant & gave my order for pickup, when I entered the restaurant my order was already ready for pickup, I spoke to the owner she was so nice & helpful we interacted for few minutes maintaining our social distance. Since its Lunar New Year I wished her & asked her how to say in mandarin she was so happy to teach me & I loved the conversation with the mother & daughter which I miss given the pandemic situation. Amazing customer service kudos to them for treating every customer so graciously. After paying I was about to pickup the order & leave, the owner said to the daughter to give BBQ Pork Steamed Bun ( free of charge) as a token of thanks which was so appreciative & I was completely surprised.They told me to try its their most popular item.These are the dishes I ordered -1) Wonton (Chicken & spinach filling) noodle soup- broth was amazingly good & piping hot it had carrots, black fungus mushrooms & bok choy.2) XLB Shanghai Soup Dumplings - it had 6 pieces amazing taste & flavor.3) Cantonese Shrimp dumplings - 8 pieces very flavorful we loved it.4) Green onion pancake - 8 slices we loved it.5) Beef Chow Fun - good amount of beef slices enjoyed it very much.6) BBQ Pork Steamed Bun - 3 pieces, nice balance of flavors & pork chunks we loved it.After reaching home I reheated some of the food to enjoy it piping hot. This is a little hole in the wall spot we love. The inside is very underwhelming, some boxes piled in a corner, very few tables- but trust me, it doesn’t matter.It’s my son’s favorite restaurant. The soup dumplings are his favorite- served piping hot, eaten in a spoon. I like the pan fried dumplings. The garlic eggplant was fantastic!! I wish I had more. The owners are very sweet.A great low key restaurant with delicious food.

Got the pork soup dumplings & shrimp & pork Sichuan spicy dumplings.The spicy dumplings weren’t really spicy at all, & had no Sichuan spices it was actually more on the sweet side but the dumplings it self were delicious.The soup dumplings were kinda bland and didn’t have much soup in it but I still enjoyed them very much.Super affordable & it’s 10% off if you pay in cash . :)

Came here after craving dumplings and the food was ok. They have a discount on yelp if you order at least $30. Overall I’d say this is a decent place for quick and easy take out.We placed an order over the phone and when we arrived there was a small line for pick up (which moved fairly quickly). We ate our food right away in the car after pickup for optimal freshness.Shanghai Pan Fried Soup Dumplings - they were good but they looked a bit sad in the take out box, maybe it was because it was take out. There wasn’t a lot of soup inside but still tasted decently good.Sichuan Hot Chili Oil Wontons - super yummy! The wontons were boiled to perfection and the filling was very tasty. The chili oil on top just enhanced the flavor even more! I would probably get these again if I come back.

Only good was crab meat dumplings with soup .. chicken chow mein is worse, kung pao chicken is also so bad in taste and please don’t don’t order chicken dumplings with corn. Food, food, good food! If you like dumplings, good food then this is the place for you. There is no other reason to go there youre not I wouldnt dine in there that its not my cup of tea very plain very simple very very much a a minimalist dream as far as Ambience and Decor go. But a whole menu full of different dumpling dishes Ive now had three different dishes this last time I had fish dumplings prior to that I had shrimp dumplings and part of that I dont know what I have because I was a friend who was sharing his take out with me and I found it so delicious I had to go and then go again. Love their dumplings make a whole meal out of Jester dumplings serving up in them 12 pieces theyve got a few other components to the menu appetizers that I very small but a large selection of dumplings so check it out tell me how you like it if this is helpful please go ahead and follow me it helps me keep Google happy and I hopefully you keeping you guys with content thank you and dont forget that like button for whatever it is see you next time.

The dumplings were good, the pig ear was soft, and the noodles were decent, but their G-pa was so dry and tough I couldnt bite through it. The rest of the rice box was unremarkable. Stick with the dumplings!

Ive been ordering takeout from epic dumpling for well over a year. Probably have a combined 30 orders from this place. The food is authentic chinese, delicious, and fairly priced. Closest you can get to real chinese food without paying a premium to do so. Highly recommend the eggplant and vegetable dishes, the dumpling/dimsum, and the kung pao chicken

Extremely dirty place. Staff are nice. However, they wear the same glove to clean tables, take away dirty dishes and to grab clean plates/utensil to set up tables. Pretty much cross contaminated everything. Dont see the staff changing gloves. Would be cleaner if they serve with disposable chopsticks. We were disgusted!

Dumplings is good, but need to be more careful on packing the to go order, this is the 2nd time wed order, and both times theres mistakes had made, 1st time they gave us the dish wasnt what we order, and this time, they forgot to pack us the noodles (vegetarian mapo tofu fresh noodles). We came for dinner on a Tuesday evening and were the only party in the dining room for a while. The dining room is bright and orderly-looking, decorated with a wraparound wallpaper drawing that looks like a rural Chinese meal preparation scene. Table service was efficient and minimalist. We had soup dumplings, garlic string beans, steamed beef buns, and orange chicken; flavor and texture were very good. Recommended.

This was our first time at Epic Dumplings and it was so, so, so good. Soup dumplings were juicy and super flavorful and the homemade shrimp and chive dumplings were fresh and delicious too. Delicious Chinese comfort food. Our first time was when the restaurant had recently opened, election night 2020, we were stressed out of our minds, and the delightful food we picked up helped us be present in the moment and enjoy the meal together. Great food and great service. The dumplings and noodles are hand-made fresh right at the kitchen. You can see the staff making those delicious dumplings through the window. Hidden lil spot next to old school dive bar. It is on a small side st off el camino, it is easy to miss. Fresh made dumplings, they have a good variety of classic chinese dishes. Taste is pretty good, price is very reasonable and decent sized portions. Service isnt bad as it looks to be family own and ran, 10% discount if you pay in cash if the bill is over $30. Seating is decent to med to semi large groups. They have veggie options too.

We used to go to Mama Chef off Stevens Creek a while aho and they closed so a void was left until now. We decided to guve this place a try after seeing the reviews. This place combines chinese and taiwanes in the best way.FOOD: DanDan Noodles 6/10 and I rate them low only kuz we didnt like the sauce personally and we wish they had the Minced Noodles other places have. Braised Beef Noodles Soup 10/10 the broth was soo tasty and the meat tender. Basil Eggplant 11/10 probably best weve ever had, it was caramelized and tender. Pork Chop Bento 7/10 the actual pork portion was very big and flavor was okay. Shrimp and pork siu mai 10/10 very tasty. Five Spice Marinated Combination 6/10 flavor was okay. Shanghai Pan Fried Soup Dumplings 5/10 too much dough to beef ratio. Marinated Beef Pancake Roll 10/10 beef was flavorful and pancake nice and crispy. All portions were shareable for sure.Service: the waitress was very nice and friendly. The food came out pretty fast. Place was nice and cleanOverall this place will probably become our new favorite and would definitely recommend.

This is the first time I gave one-star review. The food is ok, dumpling is average and appetizer is a little below average IMO. The staff is surprisingly super rude and unfriendly which I’ve never seen in my life before! No one is at the counter when I entered to pick up my order and the staff just ignored me when I asked for my order. We came here for the pan-fried buns but didnt enjoy them all that much. The filling was a bit mushy and there wasnt much of a bite with them. They actually have more Chinese food, and their dumpling list is limited, but good and tasty. I recommend their chicken and beef dumplings -- thats what Ive had.Their hit and sour soup was a bit watery, but tasty.Their Chinese pancake is not flacky, rather Pan fried and mine was a bit oily, but it was super tasty and popular.They also.have indoor sitting and have helped change the little shopping center they are in. They are across from a Buddhist temple and next to an Aikido studio, which is befitting 😃

Siu mei: too small, not authentic flavor w/ veggies filler, meat mushy ground rather than chopped lumpy. Yes! A fantastic, authentic Chinese restaurant just minutes from my home. Their shui jiao taste exactly like my grandmother makes, their spicy beef tendon and epic chicken are the perfect amount of spice with so much flavor. The only slightly bad thing I have to say is the wrapping of their xiaolongbao is a bit thick, leading to a doughy taste, but my kids still eat them by the dozen. I will be going back here weekly.

Yesterday one of my friends ordered to go and didn’t hit the tip button on their program, the lady proceeded to say “ you forgot to tip” abs made her do another transaction to tip. Today I accidentally hit the no tip button, and she made me tip. I understand that tipping is important but it’s not mandatory and a company should not stop you after you pay and make you tip. As a server I would never do this, if the tip is mandatory it should included with the bill, the server should not approach and make people tip.

Holy wow! Their beef noodle soup is one of the best around. After QQ Noodle in Milpitas reopened with a very limited menu, I was on the hunt for a replacement. Actually, Ive been looking for awhile since QQ shut down for months. Epic Dumpling is the first beef noodle soup Ive had amongst 6-7 other restaurants Ive tried that has: flavor, but isnt overly salty or seasoned; is made with beef that is delicate and so legit (not mostly gristle); and, includes noodles that are just right.and not overly cooked.I also orderded the pork buns, which are a special treat. My only con is that I wish the pork was less sweet. Its hard to find places that are full of flavor that dont cater to the American palette. Still a yummy option in moderation.Ive also ordered the chicken and pork dumplings. The latter is hands down more tasty, but the real draw for me is the beef noodle soup.Looking forward to more Epic orders soon!

Just got a take out from this place and our experience was pretty bad. The dumplings are just ok nothing great like other reviews mention. But what made it worse was the attitude of the lady at the register who was very rude. She didn’t want to give chilli oil or soya sauce along with the dumplings even though we were willing to pay for it. I would rather go to Din Tai Fung than this place.

Dumplings are delicious and have a Korean taste. It doesnt have the typical Chinese flavor, so its easy to eat without any worries. Especially cream shrimp? It tastes like the one I had in Samcheong-dong. The Jjajangmyeon has a strong Chunjang (chunjang) flavor, so it’s not quite Korean, but it’s just okay. I recommend BBQ pork buns. The owner is neat and the interior is very clean. It feels like a Korean soup restaurant. Make your own dumplings.

The food was okay, but I was not happy to be forced to add a 15% tip, especially:1. The guest at the table next to me asked for ice water, but I was not added.2. I took out my credit card to pay the bill first, and the table next door paid the bill first after waiting for a long time. As a northerner, I think dumplings and dim sum are very delicious. Every time I go there, I can see aunties making dumplings and steamed buns by hand. And I think some stir-fry dishes taste pretty good, including Kung Pao Chicken and braised pork. Beef noodle soup... all taste good. Few front desk staff in Bay Area restaurants are as enthusiastic as theirs. When I have time to take the elderly at home, they will take special care of them, help them pull stools, and provide hot tea. The overall feeling is Very good, I will visit again.
